It’s like they say: better late than never.

The western media has been willingly blind to one of the worst-kept geopolitical secrets of our times: that the heroic ‘defenders of democracy’ in Ukraine are, in many cases, a bunch of Neo-Nazis running around unchecked.

The French premier newspaper Le Monde has just released the result of a 10-day investigation on the 3rd assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and to their ‘surprise’ and dismay found out that the militants go around openly and proudly wearing neo-Nazi symbols.

Of course, no one needed the Le Monde deep dive, since the information is readily available about the Nazi Azov Brigades and their heirs of the 3rd assault brigade.

And, what’s more, no one is hiding the fact that the Nazi collaborator and war criminal Stephan Bandera has been turned into a Ukrainian national hero.

Just between us: they don’t make much of an effort to hide their extremist ideologies.

“According to Le Monde, hundreds of servicemen of the 3rd Assault Brigade — the direct heirs of the Azov Regiment — continue to openly use Nazi symbols. The photo shows swastikas, greeting gestures, and SS emblems.

Despite the ‘reform’ and the formal inclusion of the brigade in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, radical symbols have not disappeared. Journalists note: this is not a matter of chance, but of a conscious choice – either based on ideological convictions or as a tool of intimidation.

On June 14, in Kiev, on the day of the ‘March of Equality’ [Gay Pride], radicals from the ‘Carpathian Sich’ held an alternative ‘March of Tradition’. Participants were captured on camera demonstrating a Nazi salute.”

“A ten-day investigation conducted by the newspaper Le Monde reveals the presence of more than 300 Ukrainian soldiers openly using neo-Nazi symbols. Among them, nearly 200 belong to the 3rd Assault Brigade, heir to the Azov regiment, and have benefited from military training in several Western countries, including France.

[…] In ten days, the journalists identified more than 350 profiles displaying Hitler salutes, swastikas, emblems of the SS or the “Black Sun”.”

“According to the article, “at least 200 of them” are members of the 3rd Assault Brigade, a unit formed from the Azov battalion.

Iran sent a message to President Donald Trump last week threatening to activate sleeper cells in the U.S. if the U.S. attacked Iran, according to a report by NBC News. After diplomacy was rejected one more time by Iran, Trump ignored the threat and ordered the successful bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities that took place Saturday.

The threat was conveyed to Trump by an intermediary at last week’s G7 meeting at Kananaskis, Alberta in Canada. Trump cut short his stay at the G7 to return to Washington for deliberations on whether to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Iran sent a communiqué to Trump in the days before last night’s strikes on its nuclear facilities threatening to activate sleeper-cell terror inside the United States if it were attacked, sources said.

The message got to Trump through an intermediary at the Group of Seven summit in Canada last week, which Trump left early June 16 to consider his options amid the conflict between Israel and Iran, according to sources who include two U.S. officials and a person with knowledge of the threat.

The Hill reported on a memo sent Saturday by Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner Rodney Scott warning agents to be on guard for sleeper cells (excerpt):

A memo sent Saturday from CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott, obtained by The Hill’s sister network NewsNation, said “thousands of Iranian nationals have been documented entering the United States illegally and countless more were likely in the known and unknown got-a-ways.”

“Though we have not received any specific credible threats to share with you all currently, the threat of sleeper cells or sympathizers acting on their own, or at the behest of Iran has never been higher,” Scott added.

The memo urged CBP personnel to remain “vigilant.”

The Iranian Government has publicly condemned direct US involvement in the conflict.

As The New York Times reported, a federal judge ordered the Trump administration on Friday to release pro-Hamas student activist Mahmoud Khalil on bail. At this time, he is the only ‘major’ anti-Israel agitator demonstrator in America remaining in confinement.

The U.S. Dept of State revoked Mahmoud Khalil’s immigration status in March due to his participation in mob riots at Columbia.

Khalil came to the US on a student visa and now leads pro-Hamas rallies in New York City calling for an intifada.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Farbiarz ruled that the Trump administration could not deport Mahmoud Khalil, who was a graduate student at Columbia University before being detained.

On Friday, Khalil was released from prison. On Sunday, he was leading pro-Hamas rallies in New York City, where he was calling for a global intifada.

He is a foreign student in America.

On June 1, 2025, Mexico held its first simultaneous elections for over 2,600 judicial positions, including seats in the Supreme Court, as part of the Morena government’s reform aimed at boosting transparency and accountability within the judicial branch.

However, participation was alarmingly low: just 11% in local elections and 13% in the federal race.

This low level of citizen engagement has sparked questions about the legitimacy and representativeness of the new judges.

Amid this context, the election of Silvia Rocío Delgado García as a criminal court judge in the Bravos Judicial District of Chihuahua has unleashed a storm of criticism and concern across Mexico.

Known for having been part of the legal team defending Joaquín «El Chapo» Guzmán, head of the Sinaloa Cartel, Delgado received 23,605 votes in the judicial election of June 1, securing second place among candidates and a position within the state’s judicial branch for the next nine years.

Her rise, in the framework of the controversial judicial reform promoted by the Morena party, raises serious questions about the integrity of the judicial system and the influence of organized crime within Mexican institutions.

A Past Linked to Drug Trafficking

Silvia Rocío Delgado García, 51, earned a law degree from the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ), a master’s degree in Amparo from the University of Durango, and a specialization in Mediation from the Superior Court of Justice of Chihuahua.

Between 2016 and 2017, she was part of the legal team defending «El Chapo» Guzmán during his imprisonment at the Federal Social Rehabilitation Center (Cefereso) No. 9 in Ciudad Juárez, prior to his extradition to the United States.

During that time, Delgado publicly denounced irregularities in the conditions of the drug lord’s imprisonment, such as being denied an additional blanket and alleged mistreatment by guards, according to reports from the weekly Zeta.

In a Deutsche Welle documentary, Delgado called the trial against Guzmán in the United States “a farce” and stated that he “did not have a fair trial,” a position that has fueled criticism about her impartiality.

Civil society organizations such as Defensorxs and Projuc have included her in a list of “highly risky” candidacies due to her professional background, arguing that her ties with one of the world’s most notorious drug traffickers compromises the constitutional requirement of “good reputation” necessary for serving as a judge.

The Judicial Election: A Process Under Scrutiny

The judicial elections held on June 1, 2025, in Chihuahua were part of the constitutional reform approved in 2024, which allows judges and magistrates to be elected by popular vote.

In the Bravos District, citizens chose judges for 83 positions, including 49 for the criminal court, with seven specializing in drug dealing. Delgado competed against nine candidates — five women and five men — and came in second place with a turnout of only 11% at the local level and 13% at the federal level.

The low turnout has been one of the main criticisms of the judicial reform, along with the lack of effective mechanisms to ensure candidate suitability.

Miguel Meza, president of Defensorxs, accused the National Electoral Institute (INE) of “de facto erasing” the requirement of a good reputation by allowing Delgado and other questionable candidates to run. The organization has filed complaints against at least 20 elected candidates, seeking to have their victories overturned.

Delgado’s Response to Criticism

During her campaign, Delgado responded to the accusations by stating that her experience as a criminal defense lawyer, including defending “El Chapo,” demonstrated her “character and strength” to enforce justice.

She asserted, “They speak from ignorance; my fellow lawyers know I am a person of impeccable conduct.” On social media, she shared messages highlighting her academic background and commitment to justice while distributing flyers on the streets of Ciudad Juárez.

In debates organized by the State Electoral Institute (IEE), Delgado expressed her support for the judicial reform, arguing that electing judges by popular vote prevents judges from issuing rulings just to “protect their position.” She proposed periodic reviews of judicial performance and a professional career service for future candidates, vowing to base her decisions on “the facts and applicable law” to guarantee impartiality.

In the same election, Hortencia García Rodríguez, who in 2024 ordered the release of former governor César Duarte — accused of corruption — was elected to a seat in the Superior Court of Justice of Chihuahua with 88,920 votes.

Similarly, Yadira Anette Gramer Quiñónez, legal advisor to PAN Governor María Eugenia Campos, was appointed to the Disciplinary Court. These results have sparked suspicion about the influence of politics in the process.

The election of Silvia Rocío Delgado García as a criminal court judge in Chihuahua is a symptom of the inherent risks posed by a poorly designed judicial reform.

The fact that a former lawyer of “El Chapo” Guzmán will now preside over hearings, including drug dealing cases, in a region ravaged by organized crime, should set off alarm bells.

Justice cannot be a populist experiment nor a political battleground. Mexico needs an independent, professional, and ethically solid judicial system — one that is not vulnerable to the influences of organized crime or partisan interests.

Well, here’s a shocker, indeed: A thought bubble can get thought-bubbly.

Could you have pictured this? I couldn’t, especially after the very-successful, not-at-all-astroturfed hubbub around X alternative Bluesky after Elon Musk bought Twitter and made it free-speech friendly.

We were all told that Bluesky — a decentralized microblogging platform that launched in 2023 — was going to overtake X because of Elon’s toxicity, since all of the legacy media was headed there. The American left, in particular, wanted to get off of the legacy platform and build something of their own.

Well, why not? After all, as they told conservatives back in the days when we were shut up and shut out of most of the social media algorithms, if we had a problem with it, we could just build our own. I mean, those platforms would be deplatformed themselves if they got popular enough — but that wouldn’t be a problem with Bluesky, not with its leftist cant or its start as a research project within Twitter itself. Surely this growth was all sustainable, correct?

Now, just months after the platform saw its biggest surge of users in the wake of the 2024 election, engagement is down by half and shows no sign of stopping. Moreover, lefty, anti-Trump, billionaire business mogul Mark Cuban — once an enthusiastic and active user of the platform — thinks he knows why: the hateful, “toxic” rhetoric coming out of Bluesky on a daily basis.

Again, a shocker indeed.

“Engagement went from great convos on many topics, to agree with me or you are a nazi fascist,” Cuban wrote in a post earlier this month, according to Fortune. “We are forcing posts to X.”

“Even if you agree with 95 percent of what a person is saying on a topic, if there is one point that you might call out as being more of a grey area, they will call you a fascist etc.,” he added.

In another Bluesky post, Cuban shared how “[t]he lack of diversity of thought here is really hurting usage,” linking a Washington Post article on the topic by Megan McArdle.

McArdle noted the environment that birthed the Bluesky exodus, particularly the fact that Twitter — while having a numerically smaller user base than Meta platforms like Instagram or Facebook — “had a big group of influential users,” particularly progressives “who wielded outsize influence on the platform because they were early adopters who outnumbered the conservatives.”

Things were working out in their favor, until they weren’t and Elon Musk took over, which is when they took their ball and went home, or at least to Bluesky:

Moderation suppressed conservative users and stories that hurt the left — most notoriously, the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop, which Twitter throttled as “disinformation” in the run-up to the 2020 election. Of course, progressive Twitter mobs also policed the discourse themselves, securing high-profile firings that made many people afraid to cross them.

Thus, that national conversation ended up skewed toward liberal views, creating the illusion that their ideas were more popular than they actually were. That’s a major reason that institutions went all-in on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and why the 2020 Democratic primary field moved so far to the left that Kamala Harris was still struggling to backtrack four years later. All that changed when Musk bought Twitter.

It’s not surprising that progressives want to return to the good old days. But it’s not working, and I’m skeptical it ever will.

And, as the Times of India noted, it’s not as if the responses to Cuban’s post made things any better.

“F***in leave then, p****,” one Bluesky response read. Another: “Go wipe your crocodile tears with a wad of hundreds you t***.”

But here I was told the toxicity was due to Elon Musk and free speech returning on X/Twitter and supposedly scaring away users. Yet, it’s not like Bluesky has much to write home about in that department, too, as Cuban noted on the platform:

This is what happens when the left is given its own bubble moderated by lefties: Eventually, everyone comes for everyone else not sufficiently ideologically pure. Just like they did on Twitter in the old days.

And Cuban sounds shocked. Really, I’m shocked it took this long for him to figure it out.
