Army Secretary Takes Control of West Point Hiring–Orders Firing of Biden CISA Censor Jen Easterly in Shock Professorship Hire

Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll has taken control of the hiring process of the United States Military Academy at West Point and ordered the firing of Jen Easterly, a recent hire for a professorship who was the head the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) unconstitutional censorship regime of American citizens under the Biden administration.

Easterly graduated West Point in 1990 (also studied at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar), served over 20 years, attaining the rank of colonel. After retiring Easterly worked for the NSA and other positions in the Obama administration. Easterly worked for Morgan Stanley during the first Trump administration, returning to government as a Biden appointee to lead CISA in 2021.

More on Easterly via the George C. Marshall International Center, which honored her in 2024 with their Ethical Leadership Award (excerpt): “A two-time recipient of the Bronze Star, Easterly retired from the U.S. Army after more than 20 years of service in intelligence and cyber operations, including tours of duty in Haiti, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan. A distinguished graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, she earned a master’s degree in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar.”

Driscoll issued his orders publicly on Wednesday, the day after the Dean of West Point, Brigadier General Shane Reeves posted a gushing welcome to Easterly on X. Reeves’ post was deleted late Wednesday morning after Driscoll’s order to fire Easterly. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth reposted Driscoll’s statement Wednesday morning.

I have immediately directed West Point to:

1. Rescind Jen Easterly’s offer to serve as the McDermott Chair
2. Pause outside groups from selecting Academy employees or instructors

I have also asked the Chair of the West Point Board of Visitors to conduct a full review of the Academy’s hiring practices.

The hiring of Easterly was blasted by Laura Loomer Tuesday night on X (excerpt):

There are clearly a lot of Biden holdovers at DOD undermining the Trump admin.

Who the hell is doing the hiring over at DOD @DeptofDefense? It’s horrendous.

Why did Jen Easterly @CISAJen get hired as the head of Social Sciences at @WestPoint_USMA?

Jen was the Director of CISA under Joe Biden where she brought in Biden’s notorious disinformation czar Nina Jankowicz, who served as the Executive Director of the Disinformation Governance Board of the United States.

Just a few months ago, in April, Easterly attacked President Trump for his personnel decisions, reported Washington Times reporter Ryan Lovelace(excerpt):

Former Biden administration cyber official Jen Easterly said she fears President Trump’s personnel changes represent something more sinister than the normal churn of the revolving door in the federal government.

Ms. Easterly, former leader of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, is irked by Mr. Trump ousting the leaders of the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command and his issuing a memo cracking down on former CISA official Chris Krebs.

“What’s happening now is not a policy disagreement, but something dark: the targeting and removal of nonpartisan public servants and the normalization of loyalty oaths to something other than our Constitution,” Ms. Easterly wrote on LinkedIn on Friday. “And if we — who aim to protect critical systems — can’t defend the humans who manage and maintain them, what exactly are we securing?”

…Now that Mr. Biden’s appointees are no longer in power, Ms. Easterly is urging cyber officials to speak up and defend her goal of protecting institutions from the new administration’s changes.

“Some moments in history demand character over calibration,” Ms. Easterly wrote. “If we stay silent when experienced, mission-driven leaders are sidelined or sanctioned, we risk something greater than discomfort; we risk diminishing the very institutions we are here to protect.”

Evita Duffy-Alfonso, daughter of the Trump administration’s Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, criticized Easterly in a post on January 17 for promoting protecting “cognitive infrastructure”, “CISA (DHS sub-agency) violated the Constitution by censoring countless Americans—it should be abolished, not emboldened. Here’s CISA Director Jen Easterly admitting her priority is protecting “cognitive infrastructure”—code for controlling our minds. DHS needs to end the Orwellian despotism.”

Earlier this week, Driscoll ordered West Point to restore the military academy’s crest to bibles ordered for the Cadet Chapel, “Today @WestPoint_USMA signed a contract for 1,800 new bibles, this time with the academy crest, for the Cadet Chapel. This restores an important symbol to a sacred place, on a hallowed installation.”

The secretary of the Army has ordered the U.S. Military Academy at West Point to restore the school’s crest on the Bibles at the West Point Cadet Chapel, reversing a Biden-era decision to not include the crest when replacing the Bibles.

“Since the founding of West Point and before, generations of cadets, officers, and Soldiers have drawn strength and inspiration from God’s word,” Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll said in a Friday statement to Fox News Digital. “The decision to remove the Academy’s historic crest from the Bibles in the Cadet Chapel is yet another example of the previous administration pushing far-left politics into our military institutions. I am directing West Point to reverse this decision immediately and restore this important symbol of Duty, Honor, Country.”

Driscoll’s bible crest order came in response to a Biden era FOIA lawsuit recently filed by Judicial Watch:

UPDATE: Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell stated, “We’re not turning cadets into censorship activists. We’re turning them into warriors & leaders. We’re in the business of warfighting. Our future officers will get the most elite training so that America can continue to dominate on the battlefield.”

Brazilian conservatives are celebrating the sanction imposed on tyrant justice Moraes.

Moraes will feel the full weight of US sanctions.

All the freedom-loving people in Brazil are celebrating the decision by US Donald J. Trump administration to impose heavy sanction under the Magnitsky law against tyrant Supreme Court justice Alexandre de Moraes – the man leading the ‘witch hunt’ against former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, a stanch Trump ally.

This comes less than two weeks after the US cancelled visas for Moraes and 7 other supreme court justices and many other top officials – and their families – in an unprecedented move.

This is happening over the sham prosecution of Bolsonaro and many other conservative voices.

Axios reported:

“The sanctions are a marked escalation of the increasingly tense dispute between the U.S. and Brazil over Trump ally Bolsonaro, with major tariffs looming as soon as Friday as well.

The Treasury Department said it would impose the sanctions against Alexandre de Moraes, the judge who oversaw the prosecution of Bolsonaro and briefly banned Elon Musk’s X in the country.”

Moraes is also being sued by Rumble and Truth Social.

“The sanctions order blocks any assets de Moraes has in the U.S. and prohibits U.S. citizens from transactions with him.

The department said he was being targeted under executive orders covering anyone ‘who is responsible for or complicit in, or has directly or indirectly engaged in, serious human rights abuse’.”

O Globo reported (translated from Portuguese):

“According to the US government, all of Alexandre de Moraes’s potential assets in the US are frozen, as are any companies linked to him. The minister is also prohibited from conducting transactions with US citizens and companies—using US-branded credit cards, for example.”

President Trump called for an investigation into Nancy Pelosi’s insider trading, saying “she has the highest return of anybody, practically, in the history of Wall Street, save a few” and that she got rich with “inside information.”

President Trump took questions from reporters during a Congressional bill signing ceremony on Wednesday, and he responded to new legislation that would bar members of Congress from trading stocks.

The President signed a bill to reform VA home loans.

This comes after Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced his Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act, aptly named after the multi millionaire insider trader and former House Speaker.

When asked if he supports the bill, which will ban members of Congress, the President, and the Vice President from owning and trading stocks, Trump said “I like it conceptually” before tearing into Pelosi and her husband Paul Pelosi.

“She made a fortune with her husband, and I think that’s disgraceful,” the President said before calling for an investigation.

“And what I do think is Nancy Pelosi should be investigated because she has the highest return of anybody, practically, in the history of Wall Street, save a few,” he said.

“And how did that happen? It happened by she knows exactly what’s going to happen, what’s going to be announced, she buys stock, and then the stock goes up after the announcement.”

Reporter: Senator Hawley introduced legislation that would ban members of Congress from owning or trading individual stocks. It extends to the President and Vice President. Are you in favor of that legislation?

Trump: Well, I like it conceptually. I don’t know about it, but I like it conceptually. You know, Nancy Pelosi became rich by having inside information. She made a fortune with her husband, and I think that’s disgraceful. So, in that sense, I’d like it, but I’d have to really see— you know, I study these things very carefully, and this just happened. So, I’ll take a look at it, but conceptually, I like it.

And what I do think is Nancy Pelosi should be investigated because she has the highest return of anybody, practically, in the history of Wall Street, save a few. And how did that happen? It happened by she knows exactly what’s going to happen, what’s going to be announced, she buys stock, and then the stock goes up after the announcement. And she ought to be investigated.

This is not the first time Trump has highlighted Pelosi’s well timed stock trades, which she’s made millions from.

Previously, as The Gateway Pundit reported Trump said, “she should be prosecuted,” while he was running for President.

BREAKING: GOP Virginia Lawmaker Doused in Gasoline, Set on Fire in His Office

A Danville, Virginia, City Councilman Lee Vogler was doused in gasoline and set on fire in his office on Tuesday.

According to reports, the attacker threw five gallons of gasoline on Vogler before setting him on fire.

Showcase Magazine’s Andrew Brooks said the attacker forced his way in the magazine’s office as Vogler was visiting and poured a five-gallon container of gas on him.

“Lee attempted to flee, ran to the front of the building,” Showcase Magazine owner Andrew Brooks said in a Facebook video. “The individual followed him and set him on fire.”

Vogler was flown to the UNC burn unit in Chapel Hill, according to WSET.

The Daily Mail reported:

A Virginia lawmaker was doused in ‘five gallons’ of gasoline and set alight in the middle of his office.

Danville City councilman Lee Vogler was at his place of work at Showcase Magazine when he was attacked.

The assailant forced his way into the magazine’s offices on Wednesday and poured the fuel on top of him, according to the outlet’s publisher and owner Andrew Brooks.

Vogler attempted to flee but was pursued by the suspect to the front of the building where he set him on fire, Brooks added.

The lawmaker was described as ‘awake and talking’ as he was raced to the burns center in Lynchburg.

“J. Lee Vogler was elected to Danville City Council in May 2012, becoming the youngest person ever elected to that position, at age 24. A native of Danville, Mr. Vogler graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He is currently employed as the Managing Partner for Andrew Brooks Media Group,” according to Vogler’s bio.

John Solomon Says Obama Can Now Be Summoned Before a Grand Jury — Can’t Plead the Fifth Due to Presidential Immunity, But One Lie as a Private Citizen Could Destroy It All

Investigative journalist John Solomon declared that former President Barack Obama can now be compelled to testify before a grand jury — and he CANNOT invoke the Fifth Amendment due to his presidential immunity.

But here’s the kicker: if Obama lies as a private citizen about what he did during his presidency, that immunity evaporates, potentially exposing him to criminal prosecution.

Once called before a grand jury, Obama must testify under oath. If he misrepresents or lies about any matter related to his official conduct—he loses that immunity from the date of the lie onward. That single moment as a private citizen could nullify the entire blanket he once relied upon.

On January 5, 2017, Obama presided over a White House meeting in which the FBI had just cleared Mike Flynn.

According to Solomon, top officials then devised a scheme: trick Flynn into an interview, catch him lying, and prosecute him for the falsehood.

Solomon warns that Obama may now face a similar trap—one he helped construct for Flynn.

John Solomon:
I know President Trump has every right to be frustrated with him. I think President Trump’s analysis last week was right. I think my immunity rule might protect him on the original charges.

That’s what most legal experts tell me — that that ruling is so sweeping, it will protect Obama for what he did in office. However, Barack Obama can now be summoned before a grand jury.

He cannot take the Fifth Amendment because he has immunity from prosecution. He’ll have to tell the truth.

If he lies as a private citizen about what he did as President, he’ll no longer have that immunity.

And that is a trap that Obama is potentially facing. I want to say — the irony of that is significant, because on January 5, 2017, he presided over a meeting in the White House where the FBI had just cleared Mike Flynn of any wrongdoing.

And they schemed in that meeting how they might be able to jam up Mike Flynn.

They came up with the idea: “We’ll lure him into an interview, catch him in a lie, and then prosecute him that way.” Barack Obama is now about to face a potentially similar situation — one he unfairly created for Mike Flynn.
