REENCARNATION OR STATE-APPOINTMENT? Dalai Lama Succession Pits Giants China and India Against Each Other
July 13, 2025

The Dalai Lama succession is causing a rift between the BRICS partners: Modi’s India and Xi Jinping’s China.

China and India, the two most populous countries in the world, have a complex geopolitical relationship.

On the one hand, they are partners in the BRICS group, united to try to usher in the multi-polar world.

But at the same time, they live at each other’s throats, with problems with trade imbalances and economic competition, disputes in the fields of Cybersecurity and technology, water resource disputes, infrastructure development competition, and a bloody border dispute that dates back to 1962.

Putin, Modi and Xi: BRICS union on the line.

Now, the succession of Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has become yet another major irritant in China-India relations.

The Chinese embassy in New Delhi alerted to this fact today (13), even as the Indian foreign minister S. Jaishankar prepares to visit Beijing for the first time since the deadly border clashes of 2020.

Reuters reported:

“Ahead of celebrations this month for his 90th birthday that were attended by senior Indian ministers, the head of Tibetan Buddhists riled China again by saying it had no role in his succession. Tibetans believe the soul of any senior Buddhist monk is reincarnated after his death, but China says the Dalai Lama’s succession will also have to be approved by its leaders.

The Dalai Lama has been living in exile in India since 1959 following a failed uprising against Chinese rule in Tibet, and Indian foreign relations experts say his presence gives New Delhi leverage against China. India is also home to about 70,000 Tibetans and a Tibetan government-in-exile.”

China complains that ‘people in strategic and academic communities in India had made improper remarks’ on the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama.

“India’s foreign ministry said on July 4, two days before the Dalai Lama’s birthday, that New Delhi does not take any position or speak on matters concerning beliefs and practices of faith and religion.”

But Minister Kiren Rijiju sat next to the Dalai Lama during the his birthday festivities last week, and said that he believes ‘only the spiritual guru and his office have the authority to decide on his reincarnation’.

Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA) condemns ICE agents after participating in violent riot and doxxing agent

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has revealed that Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA) was “part of a violent mob of protestors attempting to obstruct federal law enforcement as they executed a criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility” and that he doxxed an ICE agent by handing the individual’s business card to members of the violent group.

According to ICE, the doxxed agent was also “left bloody” after the mob hurled rocks at agents who were doing their job.

The officers were conducting criminal warrant operations at marijuana farms operated by the Glass House Brands Inc. in Carpinteria and Camarillo when the chaos unfolded.

Carbajal claimed in an X post that ICE agents were “using unnecessarily aggressive and militarized tactics against local farm workers and peaceful protesters.”

Following the operation in Carpinteria, Carbajal posted a video on X, where he goes on a dishonest rant about ICE, calling their job “deplorable.”

He further claimed that he was there to fulfil his “congressional oversight responsibilities,” despite participating in the violent riots.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, “more than 500 rioters attempted to disrupt operations,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a press release.

“Four U.S. citizens are being criminally processed for assaulting or resisting officers. The rioters damaged vehicles and one violent agitator fired a gun at law enforcement officers.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the shooter.

Additionally, as revealed by Customs and Border Protection (CBP), at least one of the arrestees at the farm was a convicted child predator in addition to being in this country illegally. These are not just “local farm workers.”

ICE further revealed on X,

Rep. Salud Carbajal was part of a violent mob of protestors attempting to obstruct federal law enforcement as they executed a criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility. He cites “peaceful” protestors, when in fact these rioters were launching rocks at officers, injuring at least one ICE employee who was left bloody.

According to agents on the ground, the congressman doxed that same ICE employee by sharing his business card with members of the violent mob.

THIS is precisely the rhetoric that has led to orchestrated attempts to murder officers and a 700% increase in officer assaults.

May the congressman’s constituency always remember he chooses violence over the rule of law.

Carbajal should be arrested.

This is a developing story.

Senator Tom Cotton talks with Shannon Bream of “Fox News Sunday” 7/13/25

Senator Tom Cotton was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to discuss tariffs. Cotton also weighed in on the one-year anniversary of the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, PA.

“They knew of this threat days in advance, but didn’t share with state and local. The drone wasn’t working for the Secret Service, although apparently the shooter had a drone that had been working in that area. There were so many things. There were requests for enhanced security that were denied,” Bream said.

“What do you make of these reports a year later, and has there been any real accountability?” Bream asked.

“I think President Trump is right as well that mistakes were made that day. The report from the GAO as well as the Senate reports indicate that there were serious failures in communications and allocation of resources. Under the Biden administration, the Secret Service simply was not responsive to the requests of not only the Trump campaign, but the head of his security detail Sean Curran, who is now the head of the Secret Service as well,” Cotton said.

“I do believe, as President Trump said, the Secret Service is working to redress those problems and make sure they don’t happen again,” Cotton said.

“Tariffs are now playing out, and we understand that on August 1st, there are some new ones that will kick in. Based on these letters the President and the White House has sent out, unless there are deals done in advance of that,” Bream said.

“Is there a role for the Senate?” Bream asked regarding the Senate’s role in tariffs.

“Well, Congress over the years, and this goes back a century, has given the President broad discretion to negotiate tariffs,” Cotton said.

“I think it’s important to see these tariffs as an extension of our broader foreign policy, trying to achieve critical national objectives,” Cotton continued.

Senator Cotton cited an example of a tariff Japan has on the US regarding rice.

“Japan puts a tariff on American rice of 700 percent. Arkansas rice farmers would love to sell our rice in Japan, but at 700 percent tariff, it’s a bit hard. So, President Trump is using these tariffs or the threat of tariffs in part to get better deals and open more markets up,” Cotton said.

“A second important context is national security. The President has announced new tariffs on copper. Those are akin to earlier tariffs on steel and aluminum. These are critical inputs for our national security that we really have to be able to produce domestically,” Cotton explained.

Secret Service Failed to Discipline Agent at Heart of Security Failures in Butler, PA – Agent Warned 25 Minutes BEFORE Shooting that Thomas Crooks was on Roof with Rangefinder
July 13, 2025

A damning new report from the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee outlines the massive security failures one year ago in Butler, Pennsylvania, that nearly killed President Trump.

One of the most chilling findings in the report is that the Secret Service did not even discipline an agent who was made aware of the shooter 25 minutes before he fired eight rounds at the President and innocent rallygoers, but did nothing.

The 22-page report, which examines the “stunning failures by the United States Secret Service (USSS) that allowed then-former President Donald J. Trump to be shot on July 13, 2024,” was released on the one-year anniversary of the incident.

One year later, the facts remain as chilling as ever: a former President of the United States and major party candidate was shot in the head at a public rally by an individual who was reported as suspicious and carrying a rangefinder to the Secret Service at least 25 minutes prior,” the report’s summary reads.

Another report from the Government Accountability Office reveals that the Secret Service was made aware of a threat against Trump’s life ten days prior, but did not alert the team responsible for securing Trump’s July 13, 2024, rally.

HUGE: Secret Service Knew There Was a Credible Threat Against Trump’s Life 10 Days Before Butler Rally Where Trump was Shot and Innocent Supporter was Killed – DID NOT SHARE WITH STAFF ON GROUND

“What happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, was not just a tragedy—it was a scandal. The United States Secret Service failed to act on credible intelligence, failed to coordinate with local law enforcement, and failed to prevent an attack that nearly took the life of a then-former president,” Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee Chairman Rand Paul (R-KY) said in a press release.

“Despite those failures, no one has been fired. And we only know what little discipline was handed out because I issued a subpoena. That’s unacceptable. This was not a single lapse in judgment. It was a complete breakdown of security at every level—fueled by bureaucratic indifference, a lack of clear protocols, and a shocking refusal to act on direct threats. We must hold individuals accountable and ensure reforms are fully implemented so this never happens again.”

The report found that an unnamed Secret Service security room agent, "the individual in charge of communications," who was partially identified as the Special Agent in Charge of the USSS Buffalo, New York, Field Office, was allegedly informed about a suspicious indivisual carrying a rangefinder 25 minutes before the shooting. That individual later turned out to be 20-year-old gunman Thomas Crooks.

"The job of a Security Room Agent is to be the conduit of communications between all entities involved in a protective site in order to ensure situational awareness of all parties involved in securing the event," the report notes.

The agent decided to have the Secret Service counter-unmanned aerial systems agent relay this information via phone to the USSS Counter Sniper Response Agent, instead of his radio, and therefore, "the message did not go out to USSS post standers, counter snipers, and DTD shift detail," the report states. The report also describes the operator, tasked with managing counter-unmanned aerial systems, as "inexperienced."

According to the report, a Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Officer told the PSP and FBI in a joint interview that he had notified the security room agent of the potential threat, but the agent appeared to ignore it. "It wasn’t like he rushed around or did anything," the PSP officer said.

"After I said outside the perimeter, I got a distinct impression that there's, like, a lack of urgency," the officer told the FBI and PSP.

The agent appeared to corroborate the "lack of urgency" when he told the Committee, “For someone on the outer perimeter, there’s really only two assets available to us from a USSS perspective to dispatch... the [protective intelligence] response and the [counter sniper] response because they’re the only people who are capable of leaving the interior secure perimeter to go on the outside to look for somebody.” However, as noted before

The agent also gave conflicting narratives in both his interviews with the FBI and PSP and the Senate Committee, telling the Committee he heard about the shooter on the roof at approximately 3 o'clock, but telling PSP and FBI that he was never made aware of the shooter.

"By his own admission, he never had direct contact with local law enforcement throughout the day, and that his only method of communication with them was through the PSP officer in the USSS Security Room.cx Moreover, when asked by the Committee if he had viewed the PSP or Butler Emergency Services Unit (ESU) operations plan prior to the event, he stated that his first time seeing either of the operations plans was the day prior to his transcribed interview with the Committee."

However, this agent faced no disciplinary action and was able to resign without any consequence last month, suspiciously about two weeks before the report was released on July 13.

Secret Service said in a document provided to the Committee, “After the Mission Assurance Inquiry review was completed, as part of the determination of which employees might face discipline, [the USSS Security Room Agent] was found not to be in violation of Secret Service policy. [The USSS Security Room Agent] retired on June 28, 2025.”

While six USSS personnel were suspended without pay earlier this month, "no USSS personnel were fired for their role in the planning or execution of the Butler rally," the report states.
