Under Emmanuel Macron’s leadership, France is grappling with a poverty crisis not seen in three decades. Instead of fostering self-reliance and growth as promised during his presidential campaign, his policies have fueled dependency on temporary government handouts, leaving millions in dire straits as those crutches are withdrawn.

According to the latest data from INSEE, France’s national statistics agency, poverty shattered records in 2023. A staggering 9.8 million people—roughly 15% of the population—fell below the monetary poverty line, defined as monthly income under 60% of the median (about €1,288 for a single individual). That’s an alarming increase of 650,000 people in just one year.

“This marks an unprecedented surge in nearly 30 years,” observed Michel Duée, director of INSEE’s household resources and living conditions division. To find comparable levels, one must look back to the economic turmoil of the early 1970s.

The root cause? The abrupt end to short-term “exceptional aids” like inflation bonuses and back-to-school payouts introduced in 2022 to prop up purchasing power. As these fiscal band-aids expired, reality hit hard.

Hardworking self-employed individuals and micro-entrepreneurs have borne the brunt, their livelihoods eroded by bureaucratic hurdles and economic stagnation. Meanwhile, indicators of hardship are exploding, utility shutoffs for unpaid power and gas bills have skyrocketed and rental evictions are surging at an unprecedented rate.

Most heartbreakingly, single-parent families, predominantly led by dedicated mothers raising children alone, are suffering the worst. Their poverty rate jumped nearly three percentage points from 2022 to 2023, dragging more children under 18 into destitution.

While some benefits have been modestly increased, Macron’s administration has failed to advance meaningful, long-term solutions that promote family stability, personal responsibility, and economic mobility. His administration has instead opted for piecemeal fixes that do little to address underlying issues like family breakdown.

Anti-poverty advocates recently convened with Prime Minister François Bayrou, but their concerns fell on deaf ears. His vague pledge to “reduce poverty within 10 years” is little more than empty rhetoric, binding the government to nothing concrete and ignoring the urgent need for bold reforms.

Macron has only provided the French people with broken promises and empty wallets. France deserves better, a return to the principles of liberty, hard work, and fiscal prudence that once made it a beacon of opportunity.

President Trump was ratioed on Truth Social for what appears to be the first time in history over his response to the Epstein files case and reported infighting between Attorney General Pam Bondi and the FBI. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump weighed in on reports that Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino and Pam Bondi clashed over the Epstein case on Truth Social on Saturday.

It was previously reported that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino erupted on Pam Bondi and took a day off as he considers resigning over the mishandling of the Epstein case and lack of transparency with the American people. It was further rumored that FBI Director Kash Patel may leave the FBI over the scandal, but he called the rumors “conspiracy theories” on Saturday.

This comes after the FBI and DOJ released a 2-page memo on Sunday concluding Jeffrey Epstein did not have a “client list” and that he committed suicide. The memo also suggested that no further Epstein documents would be released to the public.

“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” Trump said, calling for unity within his team.

“The Left is imploding! Kash Patel, and the FBI, must be focused on investigating Voter Fraud, Political Corruption, ActBlue, The Rigged and Stolen Election of 2020, and arresting Thugs and Criminals, instead of spending month after month looking at nothing but the same old, Radical Left inspired Documents on Jeffrey Epstein,” he added, which, if they are, is good.

“The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 — That’s what she is looking into as AG, and much more.”

Trump had a similar response during a cabinet meeting last week, slamming a reporter for asking about Epstein’s ties to a foreign intelligence agency.

“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years,” Trump said before calling the question a “desecration” of the situation in Texas and the success of his administration. Pam Bondi also responded angrily, claiming to have “no knowledge” of Epstein being an agent. She further tried to deny her claim in February that the Epstein client list that we still haven’t seen was “sitting on my desk” when she was asked if it would be released.

“I was asked the question about the client list, and my response was, “it’s sitting on my desk to be reviewed,” meaning the file, along with the JFK, MLK files as well. That’s what I meant by that,” Bondi said.

Authorities have identified the Trump-hating individual who got wrecked by a policeman after deciding to act like a ‘tough guy’ in Florida yesterday and charged him with multiple crimes.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, a male wearing a white shirt and blue ball cap parked his car and blocked traffic outside the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit (SAS) event in Tampa.

Blaze Reporter Julio Rosas showed footage of the thug marching towards TPUSA attendees. The man then can be heard challenging someone to a fight.

“Let’s go…you want some of this?” the man says.

He began to walk away before a man wearing a black shirt confronted him, and the leftist slapped him on the shoulder. After dancing for a few moments in fighting position, he seemingly gave up and started walking back to his vehicle.

But, out of nowhere, a police officer charges in and roughly shoves the woke moron to the ground. He stumbled and fell flat on his face.

The cop then grabbed the man off the ground while putting him in a chokehold and then took him right to the ground again while the crowd cheered in approval.

Now, Rosas has obtained a police report identifying the thug as 45-year-old Trevor Darryl Smith, a white man just shy of 6 feet tall. Smith has been hit with three charges: resisting arrest, battery, and driving under the influence.

The last one may help explain his stupid actions.

It should be noted, though, that authorities have not officially confirmed this information.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says that Smith remains behind bars.

The president sat down with his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, in an exclusive Fox News interview taped for Sunday, July 13. The two discussed the 47th president’s first six months in office, the failures of the Biden regime, and the Texas floods.

Lara asked her father-in-law what he wanted his legacy to be when his presidency is over and his political career concludes. The president’s reply was quite poignant.

The German government has released statistics revealing that foreigners are disproportionately represented in numerous crimes compared to the native population. Notably, there is a significant disparity in street crimes and shoplifting.

Previously, the German government did not distinguish crime data based on ethnic origin, which inflated the crime figures for German citizens.

The new data was released following a parliamentary inquiry from AfD domestic policy spokesman Martin Hess, who requested detailed information on crime rates among foreigners, broken down by nationality and age group.

The data comes from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and is reported in their Police Crime Statistics (PKS). It examines the Suspect Burden Number (TVBZ) for various demographic groups. This figure is calculated by taking the number of suspects older than 8 years, multiplying by 100,000, and then dividing by the number of inhabitants aged 8 and older.

Statisticians, when measuring the TVBZ of specific groups, take care to exclude foreign tourists, illegal immigrants, and cross-border commuters, ensuring that the figures are representative of the resident population. Immigration law violations are also excluded from the data set.

For German suspects across all age groups, the TVBZ is 1,878. In contrast, Syrian suspects have a TVBZ of 8,236, and Afghan suspects are at 8,753.

The data is alarming when compared among young people. Syrians between 14 and 18 years old are five times more likely to commit a crime than Germans in the same age bracket.

The difference becomes even more pronounced among groups of young people from North Africa. Algerian youth exhibit a TVBZ rate that is an astronomical 56 times higher than that of Germans. For Moroccans, it is 19 times higher.

There were also notable differences among different offense categories. Street crime, which includes offenses like bodily harm, robbery, sexual harassment, and pickpocketing, has a TVBZ for German suspects at 168. For Syrians and Afghans, the figure is nearly eight times as high, with 1,291 and 1,218 respectively.

The TVBZ data dismantles the leftist argument that foreigners commit high rates of violent crime simply because they are mostly young males. The data reveals that German suspects within the same age brackets have drastically lower crime rates.

Germany’s welfare state provides food, shelter, and consumer goods to foreign youths, so the “crimes of desperation” argument also falls flat.

Hess’s reaction to the data: “This is the predictable result of a migration policy that has completely failed for decades and has given up all control since 2015.”
