Republican leaders in the House are investigating an Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid on two California cannabis farms from earlier this month after unaccompanied minors were discovered working as laborers there by federal agents.

The joint operation — carried out earlier this month by ICE and CBP officers — focused on two marijuana growing facilities.

California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom originally commented on the raid and was heavily critical of the federal government. This led CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott to break the news to him that they found 10 juveniles, eight of whom were alone.

The Daily Caller News Foundation first obtained letters sent by House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, to the Department of Homeland Security — and the Department of Health and Human Services — about a congressional investigation into the matter.

“The discovery of these juveniles at a marijuana facility, and in the presence of at least one dangerous illegal alien previously convicted of child molestation, highlights the continuing consequences of the Biden-Harris Administration’s open-border policies,” Jordan wrote.

Jordan was joined by Rep. Tom McClintock, a Republican from California, who is the chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement. Both lawmakers cited failures by the Biden administration as the reason for such negligence.

“The discovery of UACs [Unaccompanied Alien Children] at a California marijuana farm raises questions about [Office of Refugee Resettlement] ORR’s placement of UACs — particularly during the Biden-Harris Administration — and the sufficiency of sponsor vetting,” the lawmakers added. “Pursuant to the Rules of the House of Representatives, the Committee on the Judiciary is authorized to conduct oversight of federal immigration policy and procedures.”

The Judiciary Committee is requesting more information from DHS and HHS about where the minors are being held, their case history, family background, and other details. They also want a response by Aug. 7, the DNCF reported.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the president of Glass House of Farms — the company that owns and operates the raided marijuana sites — has a history of donating large sums to Democrats.

Graham Farrar has given to the Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee’s federal PAC and to California Democratic Rep. Salud Carbajal. He also donated $10,000 to Newsom back in 2018, according to a report from the New York Post.

The company claimed it “never knowingly violated applicable hiring practices and does not and has never employed minors.”

Then what were the children doing there?

Democrats preach about how intolerant the federal government is toward illegals. Yet in the same breath they ask questions like, “Who’s going to clean your toilets? Who’s going to work in America’s hotels and farms?”

In a profanity-laced interview released on Monday, former President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, expressed that very sentiment, saying, “Am I going to be like all these Democrats say, ‘You have to talk about and realize that people are really upset about illegal immigration?’ F*** you. How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned?”

“How do you think you got food on your f***ing table?” he continued. “Who do you think washes your dishes? Who do you think does your f***ing garden?”

Is that all leftists see when they look at illegal aliens? A workforce for low-income jobs and a reliable long-term voter base?

They can’t claim to be the party of compassion while viewing illegals this way. They also can’t claim the moral high ground on the issue while turning a blind eye to child labor.

Republican lawmakers should keep shining a spotlight on this and keep the story alive.

It not only highlights the hypocrisy of the left, but shows how dangerous it is when children enter the country unaccompanied.

If the United States maintains a culture where we invite millions to enter the nation unvetted, children will get caught in the crossfire. Human trafficking, physical danger, sexual abuse — the list of consequences is endless.

Only by digging deeper and demanding answers can the country put a face to the darker side of illegal immigration.

There are cartels, coyotes, and couriers who will take advantage of illegals, then pass them off to Americans like Farrar. They make it across the border, but end up treated like slaves. Is that better than entering the country the right way and obtaining legal status?

It’s time for this to stop. Perhaps if people start going to prison, things will finally change.

Former congressman Devin Nunes joined Real America’s Voice to discuss details surrounding the Russia hoax.

During his remarks, Nunes discussed possible ties of the hoax to the raid on Mar-a-Lago.

In 2022, Biden’s FBI raided Mar-a-Lago and seized boxes of records from Trump’s Florida estate.

More than 3 dozen machine-gun-toting agents descended on Mar-a-Lago in August 2022, and by November, Biden’s DOJ appointed a special counsel to investigate the documents stored at the Florida residence.

Subsequently, court documents revealed that Biden’s FBI even authorized the use of deadly force during their raid on Mar-a-Lago which was approved by then US Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Nunes stated, “The raid on Mar-a-Lago. So this continues. Same people doing the same nonsense continue this hoax and raid Mar-a-Lago, which I believe we need to see, what were they actually looking for when they went to Mar-a-Lago?”

“I think that’s an important key, and that the statute of limitations has not run out on.”

John Solomon added, “And maybe, just maybe, it was Russia collusion evidence.”

Nunes replied, “My guess is that it was.”

“That’s my guess, too,” added Solomon.

“But that’s a guess,” Nunes continued. ” I don’t know. But all related, all the same people. They raid Mar-a-Lago, unprecedented on the home of a former President at the time. They raid Mar-a-Lago, same people, same hoaxes, same everything, but with the power of the Justice Department, with a fake special counsel, this guy Jack Smith.”

“So there’s all of that that needs to at, and hopefully, the justice will prevail.”

In mid-July, Nunes, who initially led the Russia investigation in 2017, disclosed that a new document suggests that John Brennan, James Comey, and others knew right from the start that the ‘Russian Collusion’ story was “stirred up” by the Clinton campaign.

Yet, the rollout of the long-debunked hoax was still rolled out with the effect of diminishing President Trump’s first term in office.

Nunes claimed that this document was undisclosed to the investigators until late 2020. During a FOX News interview with Trey Gowdy, who was also involved in the 2017 investigation, Nunes discussed the undisclosed document, and more importantly, the still-unpublished report that Nunes wrote in response to the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on Russia Collusion.

As reported at Breitbart, in an interview with Fox & Friends, Nate Morris, the Republican candidate for Senate in Kentucky, declared, “We are absolutely full […] and the amnesty that is being pushed now by Republicans and Democrats is treasonous … amnesty is treason.”

In addition to this declaration, Nate Morris also called for a complete immigration moratorium.

As the debate on how much legal immigration should be allowed rages, Nate Morris may become a leading voice.

Last month, Morris announced his Senate run seeking to “end the reign of Mitch McConnel.”

In a video launching his campaign, Morris vowed to “clean up Washington.”

He also declared, “It’s garbage day in Kentucky — and thanks to Mitch McConnell, things have gotten dirty. The Bluegrass State is sick and tired of cleaning up career politicians’ messes.”

Morris added that he intends to “take out the trash.”

Morris, who describes himself as a Trump, America First conservative, is clearly a different kind of Republican than Mitch McConnell.

He is a change-maker, not a member of the establishment wing of the GOP. Morris is not a career politician but a businessman from the outside.

The detestable reasoning of the UK government is: there’s rampant migrant crime > people are driven into extremes and protest accordingly > police cracks down NOT on criminals, but on the protesting citizens.

Harmeet Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice, posted on Sunday she and her department will be monitoring the investigation into a vicious attack on a white man and white woman by a mob of Black people in Cincinnati Friday night after video of the beatings went viral.

Dhillion commented on a post by Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio), “Our federal hate crimes laws apply to ALL Americans. We @CivilRights will monitor closely how local authorities handle this attack. Nobody in our great nation should be the victim of such a crime, and where race is a motivation, federal law may apply.”

Moreno had posted, “The Mayor of Cincinnati, @AftabPureval, who has an opinion on lots of irrelevant topics, has not issued a statement, let alone a condemnation, of this heinous attack. Instead of dreaming about higher office, which will never happen, he should be ensuring his residents are safe.”

Moreno’s post was in response to screen images from the video that showed a man on the ground being attacked by a mob and an unconscious woman with blood streaming from her mouth.

Cincinnati’s police union leader said investigators have been able to speak to the two people seen on several viral social media posts being attacked on Fourth Street Friday night.

“They’re doing everything they can. These investigators have been working around the clock to identify everybody that’s involved, to be able to locate those people, to be able to interview them, to be able to get a true picture of exactly what occurred,” said President FOP Queen City Lodge #69 Ken Kober.

…”There are still some people that have not been identified. I would ask is that the public play a part in this because stuff like this shouldn’t happen in our city, but when it does, we need people to step forward that way we can bring these people to justice,” said Kober.

Violence erupted at 4th St. and Elm St. in Cincinnati last night. Let me tell you about a chaotic Friday night in our city.

The Banks, an area long plagued by crime, hosted a Cincinnati Reds home game and the Cincinnati Music Festival at Paycor Stadium. At midnight, I received a message from a friend who has lived at The Banks for 20 years: “Tonight, people are everywhere. I see one police car and zero officers. I hate to bother you, but I’m keeping you in the loop. This isn’t logical for any city.”

This week, the Mayor, City Manager, and Police Chief held a press conference and a special City Hall meeting to address these issues. City officials outlined plans for a juvenile curfew and promised enforced consequences for criminal actions. They emphasized that they are not restricting police or directing officers to avoid enforcing the law.

However, last night, as I received videos, pictures, and messages, I learned that officers were instructed to take juveniles to curfew centers, where parents would pick them up, without facing legal consequences for violating curfew or other laws. Officers have been instructed not to cite the parents for curfew violations. Officers were also explicitly told, “Do not bring them to 2020 (the juvenile detention center).” The problem? Many youths refuse to provide their information, and some parents don’t show up. This leaves officers stuck babysitting through the night.

Short-staffed and forced to prioritize which situations to address, officers are directed to transport kids to curfew centers rather than enforce the law fully. Many feel there’s no point in making arrests due to the county prosecutors’ catch-and-release policy. Officers also fear that enforcing the law could lead to criticism, with little support from city leadership.

Residents know what’s happening. Single mothers, children, and families of all backgrounds living downtown fear for their safety. Meanwhile, those who know they can evade consequences walk the streets with increasing confidence and boldness.
This is trickle-down incompetence from the Mayor, City Manager, the majority of the City Council, the Police Chief, and their advisors. Good people in the city, government, and police department are demoralized, feeling there’s no hope for change.

Our Plan:
Eliminate or reduce distracting and costly city initiatives, alternative responses, and community responder programs that undermine the importance of a strong police force dedicated to protecting and serving the community.
Encourage the police department to engage actively with the community, patrol in cars, bikes, on foot, and prioritize prevention, not just respond to worst-case scenarios.
Return control of the Emergency Communications Center (ECC), currently managed by city employees, to the police department, ensuring experienced personnel handle reporting and dispatching.
Empower police officers to enforce laws and pressure county prosecutors to uphold their responsibilities, ending the catch-and-release approach.
In recent months, since the primary election, my family and I decided to move everything back downtown, where we can hear every siren and gunshot. We’re not returning back to the outskirts in a week. We’re all in on Cincinnati because we believe it’s the greatest city on earth, and we care deeply about its people. This isn’t about red or blue politics. We’re at a critical moment where real change is possible if the right people stand up and make their voices heard.
