After news broke that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is being canceled, the show experienced a surge in viewership, yet he is still being beaten in the ratings by Greg Gutfeld.

People on the left, including members of congress, are pushing a conspiracy theory that Colbert was canceled for political reasons because he is so critical of President Trump. The truth is that The Late Show has been losing upwards of $40 million a year for CBS.

Even with all the attention Colbert has received recently, he still can’t catch Gutfeld in ratings.

Colbert’s Ratings Spike After Cancellation News But Fox’s Gutfeld Leaves Him in the Dust with Major Gains

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld continues to post stellar ratings, even topping Stephen Colbert who saw a significant bump after news of his show’s cancellation.

Colbert’s Late Show enjoyed a bump to 2.4 million viewers just days after it was announced the show would be ending in the coming months. For the year thus far, Colbert has averaged around 1.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen data. In the coveted 25-54 demo, it’s averaged just under 300,000.

The bump is impressive, but Fox News’ Gutfeld! continues to dominate other late night programs. When Late Show drew 2.4 million viewers less than a week after news of its cancellation, Gutfeld drew 3.1 million viewers. For the year thus far, the show has averaged 3.1 million viewers and nearly 400,000 in the key demo. Since the announcement of Late Show’s cancellation, Gutfeld has posted 11% and 4% gains in overall viewers and the key demo.

Recent analysis has found that the guest list on Colbert’s show was basically a revolving door for Democrat politicians and left wing journalists.

It’s really not difficult to see why more people tune in to watch Gutfeld. His show is about laughs. Colbert was basically a boring left wing sermon, night after night. Who wants to watch that?

Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist recently appeared on FOX News and suggested that the liberal media is not reporting the explosive new details about the Russia collusion hoax because they were ‘complicit’ in the original crime in 2016.

This is exactly right.

During Trump’s first term, liberal outlets would eagerly repeat any detail that was leaked to them no matter how outrageous the claims. Now that Tulsi Gabbard is revealing details that directly implicate former President Obama and others, the same outlets are strangely uninterested. It’s so clear what is going on here.

MOLLIE HEMINGWAY, THE FEDERALIST: What happened, when you go back to 2016, is the Obama administration hid intelligence showing that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election was no big deal. They suppressed that because they didn’t want Donald Trump to know about it. Then they immediately began leaking to the Washington Post and to the New York Times false things, things that weren’t true, the opposite, that Russia had conspired with Trump to steal the election.

And the Washington Post and New York Times, when they were asked to publish these things that were not true, they just went ahead and did it. They took the word of John Brennan and other sources like that who had made these false claims. Then the Obama administration manufactures a completely fake intelligence assessment, again with this claim that Russia had conspired with Trump to steal the election.

And they leaked that to the media as well. Well, when they were receiving these leaks, the media did whatever these people wanted. They pushed this absolutely delusional conspiracy theory for years.

And now that we know that, and it was a fake story. Now that we know the real story, and the real story is shocking, the Obama administration suppressed real intelligence and then they manufactured fake intelligence for the purpose of undermining a legitimately elected administration. The media are hiding it.

And why? Because they were complicit in the crimes that were committed.

The vast majority of the American media functions as nothing more than an arm of the Democrat party and it has never been more obvious.

Chris Matthews is the former MSNBC host who famously said that Obama gave him a ‘thrill up his leg.’ He is a notoriously liberal, Democrat supporting media figure.

During a recent conversation with Charlie Rose, another famously liberal journalist, Matthews cast doubt on negative polling about President Trump, saying ‘I don’t buy that.’

Everything Matthews says in the clip below flies in the face of his entire tenure at MSNBC. It’s really something to behold.

CNN’s Michael Smerconish asserted during his show on Saturday that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Ghislaine Maxwell to “collect scalps, and not an orange one.”

Speaking to CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig, Smerconish said that he believes Blanche was meeting with Maxwell to find names of Democrats who may be implicated in Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.

“Okay, ready for my theory?” Smerconish began.

“He is there to collect scalps and not an orange one,” the host said of Blanche. “His mission is to come home with names that she‘s prepared to name publicly. The higher place they are in progressive, democratic circles, the better.”

Smerconish continued, “So if she‘s willing to say x, y, and z by name were involved with Epstein beyond just flying on the plane or visiting the island, then for Trump, it‘s the political win that he thinks he needs, where he points in a different direction. And maybe in that circumstance, he cuts her some slack, offering clemency.”

Honig expressed doubt that anyone will be charged over Maxwell’s list.

“Good, so we partially agree, we partially disagree,” Honig began. “So first of all, I do think that whatever names she names in that session, as having committed crimes, will come out eventually and probably sooner than later. I’m not sure where you are on this, but I don’t think there’s any way in the world DOJ actually prosecutes anyone based on that. Maybe there’s some sort of release or announcement, but look, I spent tons of time as a prosecutor dealing with cooperating witnesses.”

Honig continued, “I don’t see any way DOJ comes to the conclusion that Ghislaine Maxwell is fully credible, fully reliable, somebody we want to invest in, somebody we want ask a judge to reduce her sentence, somebody want to indict based on her testimony and then call at trial as a witness. So it could well be that there’s naming of names, but no way is DOJ going to actually bring other indictments of this. So Michael, to your point, you know, we learned yesterday that Ghislaine Maxwell had been asked about 100 different names. That came from David Markus, Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer. And I want to know, did she say any of those 100 committed crimes that she knows of? If she said none of them committed crimes, then I have serious questions about her credibility.”

Smerconish replied, “In any other DOJ, I would agree with you that the idea of indictments flowing from this is preposterous.”

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for “conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse minors.”

War Room’s Steve Bannon and former Trump Campaign Advisor Steve Cortes discussed the idea of redistricting Red States to benefit the Republican party and help them pick up more seats in the House.

The video opens with clips of shows with various commentaries from left-wing media outlets MSNBC and CNN. They oppose the idea, claiming that it is part of a plan to rig the midterm elections.

“You think it’s feasible for us to redistrict five seats down in Texas, sir?” Bannon asked.

“Oh yes. Listen, let’s roll. Let’s light that candle. We need to do this. By the way, it makes perfect sense even beyond the wonderful political benefits that we will reap here. When you look at the country in 2020, it is clear that the census was not taken correctly during the Covid panic,” Cortes said.

“In addition, we had such massive movements because of the Covid panic. Such shifts between states and even within states, that it is necessary for us to do this. So yes, every Red State should do this,” Cortes said.

Cortes also explained that having another national census sooner would be beneficial, instead of waiting the full 10-year span since Covid and counting illegals gave inaccurate information. He said that although a census is required every 10 years, the Constitution does not prohibit any additional ones.

“I think there should be another national census. You know the Constitution does not preclude that. It says you have to have a census at least every ten years,” Cortes said.

“2020 wasn’t done right because of the Covid panic, and it also wasn’t done right because we counted illegals,” Cortes continued.

Bannon and Cortes also discussed the very strange Chicago building that will soon be the Presidential Library for Barack Obama.

“What is he building? That thing, it looks like the Reichstag, you know. It’s insane. What is that?” Bannon asked.

“I’m laughing, because it’s ridiculous, ok. But it’s also sad,” Cortes said.

“By the way, that’s almost done. So, please don’t think that ‘oh, that’s still under construction, looks nothing like the final product.’ No, if you look at the drawings, that’s finally getting close to done,” Cortes said.

Cortes explained that the building was not only designed in poor taste but is also way over budget. The cost is already approaching one billion dollars.

“Five years late, three times the initial budget. It was 300 million out of the gate. It’s almost a billion, with a b, almost a billion dollars now,” Cortes continued.
