George Santos to Report for Seven-Year Prison Sentence — Says He’s Not Expecting Trump Pardon
July 24, 2025

Former Congressman George Santos will report for prison on Friday.

Santos, who last year plead guilty to identity theft and wire fraud and was sentenced to seven years in prison, said he is not expecting a pardon from President Trump.

“I don’t think he can,” Santos told POLITICO when asked about the possibility of the president granting clemency.

“He’s in a position where he needs to put the country ahead of one man, and that’s just a fact.

”He would lose support in the House from Republicans who have already capitulated.”

The 37-year-old said he “would not waver” in his support for this administration.

Back in April, Santos had pleaded with Trump for a pardon on the grounds that his sentenced had been “politically influenced.”

He wrote:

This is the hardest statement I have ever written. I write this humbled, chastened, and fully accountable for choices that shattered the faith so many placed in me.

I betrayed the confidence entrusted to me by many. For that, I offer my deepest apology.

When I pled guilty, I did so without reservation. I said then, and I repeat now, that my conduct betrayed my supporters and diminished the institution I was privileged to serve. Those words have weighed on me every day since.

I cannot rewrite the past, but I can control the road ahead. I asked the Court for a sentence that balances accountability with the chance to prove through sustained, measurable action that I can still contribute positively to the community I wronged.

I believe that 7 years is an over the top politically influenced sentence and I implore that President Trump gives me a chance to prove I’m more than the mistakes I’ve made.

Elected to Congress in November 2022, Santos became the most conservative member of his freshman class.

But within a year, mounting allegations about his personal life and past criminal activity led to his expulsion from the chamber.

Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought

Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought told The Gateway Pundit that the Trump administration is working on “getting to the bottom” of whether or not Jerome Powell lied to officials and Congress as Powell faces a criminal referral for perjury.

Vought spoke to reporters at the White House on Thursday after the President toured the renovation site at the Federal Reserve headquarters.

Powell is under fire for the cost of renovating the Fed’s DC headquarters. The cost ballooned from $1.9 billion to $2.5 billion, even higher when you take into account the third building that they’ve already renovated as part of the project. According to official federal reserve documents, the project will cost upwards of $3.1 billion.

He is also currently facing a criminal referral to the Justice Department from Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) for allegedly lying to Congress.

Luna says Powell lied on two occasions to both the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and in “formal correspondence” to Vought, a senior executive official.

“On June 25, 2025, Chairman Powell provided testimony under oath before the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs regarding the renovation of the Federal Reserve’s Eccles Building. In his statements, he made several materially false claims,” Luna said in her letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

She goes on to outline the lies he told, including statements about the Federal Reserve’s luxurious new features, which are “contradicted by the actual project plans,” and untrue statements about the Fed’s Eccles Building renovation history.

“Separately, in a letter to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russell Vought, Chairman Powell characterized the changes that escalated the cost of the project from $1.9 billion to $2.5 billion as minor. However, documents reviewed by congressional investigators indicate that the scope and cost overruns of this project were neither minor in nature nor in substance,” she writes.

According to the referral letter, Powell’s claim that “changes were intended to simplify construction and reduce the likelihood of further delays and cost increases” is “contradicted by the Federal Reserve’s final submission to the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC) and by the assertions made in Director Vought’s own original letter to Chairman Powell.”

On Thursday, when asked if he thinks Powell should be indicted for his lies, Vought told The Gateway Pundit, “we’re gonna keep getting to the bottom of the questions that we have and the statements that he’s made.”

The Gateway Pundit reported on a fiery exchange between Trump and Powell, when the Fed Chairman tried to argue with Trump in front of the cameras.

Powell said he does not expect additional cost overruns, but “we’re ready for them,” and “we have a little bit of a reserve that we may use.”

After his visit, President Trump said on Truth Social that the project should have "never started," and "hopefully, it will be finished ASAP."

"Let’s just get it finished and, even more importantly, LOWER INTEREST RATES!" Trump said.

Wall Street Journal Releases Birthday Letter from Bill Clinton to Jeffrey Epstein

Wall Street Journal Releases Birthday Letter from Bill Clinton to Jeffrey Epstein
July 24, 2025

The Wall Street Journal has just released an alleged birthday letter from former president Bill Clinton to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the letter from Clinton was obtained from Jeffrey Epstein’s 2003 “birthday book.”

The letter reportedly from Clinton read, “It’s reassuring, isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and (illegible word), and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.”

LOOK:

Per The Wall Street Journal:

The biggest name in Jeffrey Epstein’s birthday book back in 2003 was a past president rather than a future one.
Epstein’s former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell was keen for Bill Clinton and other boldface names to submit letters for the special gift, according to people involved in putting it together.

In the end, she was successful. The leather-bound album—assembled before Epstein was first arrested in 2006—included a page with a single paragraph in Clinton’s distinctive scrawl:

It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.

A spokesman for Clinton declined to comment on the birthday message, which was reviewed by the Journal. He referred the Journal to a previous statement that the former president had cut off ties more than a decade before Epstein was arrested in 2019 and didn’t know about Epstein’s alleged crimes.

The Wall Street Journal’s report comes a week after the outlet released an alleged birthday letter from President Trump to Epstein.

President Trump has refuted the letter’s legitimacy and announced he was suing the Wall Street Journal for $10 billion.

Former president Bill Clinton has long been connected to Epstein.

According to White House visitor logs, Epstein visited the White House 17 times during Clinton’s presidency.

Flight logs released in 2019 further revealed that Clinton rode as a passenger on Epstein’s private jet, the Lolita Express, up to 26 times between 2001 and 2003.

The House Oversight Committee’s subcommittee recently voted to subpoena Bill and Hillary Clinton over their connections to Epstein.

Vice President J.D. Vance reaffirmed the Trump administration’s immigration stance, stating that no amnesty will be granted to those who entered the country illegally. In a series of clear and firm remarks, Vance outlined the government’s approach: uphold the law, protect national economic interests, and seek technological solutions to labor challenges.

“We’re not going to tell people who entered illegally that they can break our laws and be rewarded for it. We’re just not going to do that,” Vance said during an interview on Wednesday.

BREAKING: Trump, Bondi Outmaneuver Corrupt Judges, Appoint Alina Habba as Acting US Attorney for New Jersey

BREAKING: Trump, Bondi Outmaneuver Corrupt Judges, Appoint Alina Habba as Acting US Attorney for New Jersey
July 24, 2025

Alina Habba on Thursday announced that she is now the Acting US Attorney for New Jersey after district court judges ousted her from her post earlier this week.

Alina Habba’s term as interim US Attorney expires on Friday at 11:59 pm so Trump and Bondi outmaneuvered the activist judges.

Habba resigned as Interim US Attorney and is now Acting US Attorney for New Jersey.

A group of federal judges on Tuesday declined to extend Alina Habba’s term as interim US Attorney of New Jersey after Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries launched a pressure campaign to oust her.

Hakeem Jeffries called on federal district court judges appointed by Obama and Biden to remove Alina Habba over her decision to indict Rep. LaMonica McIver.

On Tuesday, after a pressure campaign from Jeffries, district court judges voted to oust Alina Habba as interim US Attorney of New Jersey.

The corrupt judges appointed Desiree Leigh Grace – but AG Bondi immediately fired her on Tuesday.

Alina Habba resigned as interim US Attorney before her term was set to expire – Trump then withdrew Habba’s nomination to a permanent position – Bondi then appointed Alina Habba First Assistant US Attorney which means she automatically becomes Acting US Attorney because of the vacancy.

“The reason Trump has to withdraw her nomination is because the Federal Vacancies Reform Act prohibits the nominee for a Senate-confirmed office from holding the post on an “acting” basis,” Politico’s Kyle Cheney reported.

The Article III Project, led by Mike Davis, filed a judicial complaint against a federal judiciary panel of Democrat activist judges after they bowed to pressure from Hakeem Jeffries to oust Alina Habba.

“These New Jersey activist judges—15 of whom were appointed by Obama and Biden—saluted. This violated Canons 2, 3, and 5 of the Code of Conduct for United States Judges,” Mike Davis said.
