The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday morning voted to advance Jeanine Pirro’s confirmation to US Attorney for DC 12-10 on party line.

President Trump in May appointed Judge Jeanine Pirro as interim US Attorney for DC after Tillis derailed Ed Martin.

“I am pleased to announce that Judge Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. Jeanine was Assistant District Attorney for Westchester County, New York, and then went on to serve as County Judge, and District Attorney, where she was the first woman ever to be elected to those positions,” Trump said in May.

“During her time in office, Jeanine was a powerful crusader for victims of crime. Her establishment of the Domestic Violence Bureau in her Prosecutor’s Office was the first in the Nation,” Trump said.

“She excelled in all ways. In addition to her Legal career, Jeanine previously hosted her own Fox News Show, Justice with Judge Jeanine, for ten years, and is currently Co-Host of The Five, one of the Highest Rated Shows on Television. Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position, and is considered one of the Top District Attorneys in the History of the State of New York. She is in a class by herself. Congratulations Jeanine!”” Trump added.

A protestor crashed the committee vote and had to be removed from the room.

Late Show host Stephen Colbert is clearly taking his show’s cancellation to heart.

Colbert’s show was cancelled by CBS parent company Paramount after more than a decade on air.

Company sources later revealed the decision was purely financial and that the show had been losing $40 million a year because of its whopping $100 million production cost.

On Wednesday’s edition of the show, Colbert lashed out at President Trump

The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that back in May, Attorney General Pam Bondi informed the president that his name was in the Epstein files. But he said he hardly knew the guy!

“You know how they say there’s no such thing as bad publicity? They’re not talking about this.

The president wasn’t alone. An official familiar with the documents said they contain hundreds of other names.

Of course, names like Donald Trump, Donald John Trump, Donald J. Trump, Donny Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Father, Big Daddy, Big Daddy Bronzer, aka the Donald and a mystery man known only as micropenis DJT.

While CBS has insisted the decision was purely based on the failings of his show, Colbert is clearly butthurt about the network’s recent decision to settle a lawsuit with Trump for $16 million.

Just days before he was cancelled, Colbert described the move as a bribe.

”Now, I believe this kind of complicated financial settlement with a sitting government official has a technical name in legal circles,” he complained at the time. 

”It’s “big fat bribe,” because this all comes as Paramount’s owners are trying to get the Trump administration to approve the sale of our network to a new owner, Skydance.”

REPORT: Stephen Colbert’s Show Was Losing $40 Million a Year Before Its Cancellation

Trump, meanwhile, made no secret of his pleasure at seeing Colbert getting the axe.

“I absolutely love that Colbert got fired,” Trump wrote on Truth Social after news of his cancellation broke. “His talent was even less than his ratings.”

“I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!” he continued.

At least ten children, from ages 2 to 15, were locked in an Alabama storm bunker and sexually tortured and trafficked by their parents for three years.

The adults used animal shock collars in their torture of the children. The children were drugged and tortured. Investigators believe there are more victims and perpetrators tied to the horrendous crime.

Alabama police arrested seven suspects in the trafficking ring. More arrests are expected.

According to WJTV – The Bibbs County Sheriff’s Office said some of the suspects are related, but other suspects are acquaintances or people who paid to victimize children.

On April 25, 2025, investigators identified another suspect, Dalton Terrell, who was arrested and is presently in the Bibb County Jail, charged with six counts of Rape in the First Degree, twelve counts of Sodomy in the First Degree, and five counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree.

Following ongoing investigations, Andres Velazquez-Trejo was arrested on April 29, 2025, and is also being held in the Bibb County Jail on six counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree.

Celebrity chef Anne Burrell passed away suddenly at 55 in her Brooklyn home last month.

The sudden death of the Food Network’s star stunned friends, co-workers and fans.

Burrell found love later in life and recently got married. She appeared to be in “high spirits” according to close friends.

However, according to a fellow celebrity chef, Anne Burrell also privately struggled.

On Thursday, it was revealed Anne Burrell committed suicide.

“The NYC Office of Chief Medical Examiner says the official manner of death was suicide and the cause of death was “acute intoxication due to the combined effects of diphenhydramine, ethanol, cetirizine, and amphetamine.”” TMZ reported.

TMZ previously reported that a bunch of pills were found nearby when Anne Burrell’s husband found her unresponsive in the shower.

The New York Post reported:

“Worst Cooks in America” host Anne Burrell’s cause of death has been revealed.

The chef, who passed away at age 55 on June 17 at her Brooklyn home, died by suicide, The Post can confirm.

Burrell’s cause of death was determined by the New York City medical examiner’s office and is specified as “acute intoxication due to the combined effects of diphenhydramine, ethanol, cetirizine, and amphetamine.”
