New Moon Discovered Orbiting Uranus: James Webb Telescope Unveils Tiny Celestial Body
August 22, 2025

Astronomers have identified a previously undetected moon circling Uranus, utilizing data from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope.

The discovery was made public by NASA on August 19, 2025. This small celestial body adds to the known satellites of the ice giant planet.

The moon, temporarily designated S/2025 U1, measures approximately six miles in diameter.

Its diminutive size equates to roughly 90 football fields laid end to end. Due to this scale, an average person could walk around its circumference in a matter of hours.

Observations captured the moon on February 2, 2025, through the telescope’s Near-Infrared Camera in a sequence of ten 40-minute exposures.

The James Webb Space Telescope’s advanced infrared capabilities enabled detection of this faint object. Prior missions, including Voyager 2’s 1986 flyby, overlooked it because of its small size and low reflectivity.

The research team, led by the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado, included experts like Maryame El Moutamid and Matthew Tiscareno from the SETI Institute.

El Moutamid described the find as small yet noteworthy for understanding planetary systems. Tiscareno noted the intricate ties between Uranus’ inner moons and its ring system, suggesting a dynamic past.

S/2025 U1 orbits about 35,000 miles from Uranus’ center in a nearly circular path aligned with the planet’s equator. This position places it between the moons Ophelia and Bianca. Its location implies it formed in place rather than being captured later.

Uranus now boasts 29 confirmed moons, with this addition joining 14 other small inner satellites. About half of these orbit closer to the planet than the five largest ones. The larger moons include Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, and Oberon.

These major moons bear names drawn from characters in works by William Shakespeare and Alexander Pope. Examples include Desdemona, Trinculo, and Puck among the smaller ones. The naming convention honors British literary figures.

Discoveries of Uranus’ moons began in 1787 when William Herschel found Titania and Oberon. William Lassell added Ariel and Umbriel in 1851. Gerard Kuiper identified Miranda in 1948.

Voyager 2 revealed ten small inner moons during its 1986 encounter. Subsequent ground-based observations in the 1990s and 2000s uncovered more.

The International Astronomical Union will soon assign a permanent name to S/2025 U1.

Uranus features 13 faint rings, influenced by its inner moons. These satellites help maintain the rings’ structure through gravitational interactions. The new moon’s discovery may reveal further details about this complex environment.

President Trump negotiated the biggest and most advantageous trade deal with Europe on July 27, and on August 21, 2025, the United States and European Union issued a joint statement formalizing the “Framework on an Agreement on Reciprocal, Fair, and Balanced Trade.”

The agreement is a landmark achievement, which Trump calls the biggest trade deal in history, and the numbers make that claim at least arguable. The EU has committed to $750 billion in U.S. energy purchases through 2028, $600 billion in new investments in the United States, and expanded procurement of American defense equipment. Together, these $1.35 trillion commitments represent an unprecedented scale and will help reduce the longstanding U.S. goods trade deficit with Europe.

Under the Framework Agreement, the EU will eliminate tariffs on all U.S. industrial goods and expand market access for American agriculture, seafood, and processed products, including dairy, pork, bison, nuts, soy oil, and fruits and vegetables. In return, the United States will cap tariffs on most European goods at 15 percent.

Beginning September 1, 2025, the U.S. will apply only the most-favored-nation (MFN) tariff to non-domestic natural resources such as cork, all aircraft and aircraft parts, and generic pharmaceuticals and their chemical precursors.

Once the EU enacts its tariff-reduction legislation, U.S. tariffs on automobiles and auto parts will be lowered, with no Section 232 tariffs applying to covered EU vehicles already facing a 15 percent or higher MFN rate.

Energy is at the heart of the agreement. Europe’s $750 billion commitment to purchase U.S. liquefied natural gas, oil, and nuclear products through 2028 cements America’s role as the world’s energy superpower while reducing Europe’s dependence on adversarial suppliers.

This marks a decisive break from decades of vulnerability to Russian gas and Middle Eastern oil, both of which left European leaders exposed to price shocks, supply disruptions, and political manipulation.

Moscow’s weaponization of gas during the Ukraine war underscored the risks of relying on hostile regimes, while instability in the Middle East long tied Europe’s economic security to one of the world’s most volatile regions.

By turning to the United States, Europe gains a stable, democratic supplier. America’s rise as the world’s largest producer of oil and natural gas, fueled by the shale revolution, has already proven its strategic value in helping Europe cut Russian dependence after the invasion of Ukraine. This agreement expands that partnership on an unprecedented scale, formalizing U.S. energy dominance and strengthening Western security.

The benefits reach both sides of the Atlantic: American exports reinforce the dollar’s global role, provide steady revenues for U.S. producers, and create jobs in energy states from Texas to Pennsylvania, while Europe gains reliable supply and tighter alignment with a trusted ally.

Defense is the other pillar of the Framework Agreement. The EU’s decision to purchase significant amounts of American military equipment represents more than a commercial deal, it is a strategic realignment of European defense capabilities toward U.S. systems and doctrine.

For decades, NATO members struggled with incompatible weapons, communications systems, and logistics networks that hindered joint operations. By committing to American-made fighter aircraft, missile defenses, and communications platforms, Europe moves toward standardization across the alliance. This integration reduces training costs, simplifies logistics, and enhances battlefield effectiveness.

Just as important, the shift reduces European dependence on non-allied defense suppliers. Some EU states had historically bought equipment from countries with conflicting interests, raising security concerns. Now, by sourcing from U.S. companies, Europe ensures that sensitive technologies remain within trusted networks while bolstering NATO interoperability. The arrangement also strengthens the American defense industry.

Firms like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Boeing gain access to expanded European markets, supporting larger production runs and continuous innovation. This creates a cycle in which American defense spending drives technological progress that benefits the entire alliance.

Together, the energy and defense provisions make the United States not only Europe’s leading economic partner but also its essential guarantor of security. The deal deepens transatlantic integration on terms that favor American leadership in both industry and defense.

The White House calls the Framework Agreement “fundamentally rebalancing the economic relationship between the world’s two largest economies” and “a generational modernization of the transatlantic alliance.”

No previous U.S. president achieved anything comparable; past administrations left tariffs in place and won no guarantees of energy purchases or investments. Trump, by contrast, negotiated from strength, using the threat of 30 percent tariffs to secure a 15 percent compromise and unprecedented concessions.

As EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic admitted, “this is the most favorable trade deal the U.S. has extended to any partner.” The agreement underscores Europe’s dependence on the American market and energy supply, while proving that Trump’s hard bargaining delivered results no other leader could match.

The Obama Presidential Center in Chicago’s Jackson Park, originally budgeted at $500 million, has seen costs balloon to over $830 million.

Construction began in 2021, but delays have pushed the opening to April 2026. The facility includes a museum tower, library branch, and community spaces, funded privately by donors like Jeff Bezos and Oprah Winfrey.

Construction began in 2021, but delays have pushed the opening to April 2026. The facility includes a museum tower, library branch, and community spaces, funded privately by donors like Jeff Bezos and Oprah Winfrey.

Local residents and leaders have raised concerns about gentrification caused by the development. Alderwoman Jeanette Taylor noted that rents are rising and families are being displaced, as reported by the Daily Mail. She emphasized the lack of a Community Benefits Agreement to ensure affordable housing and local hiring.

Property values have surged, with two-bedroom apartments jumping from $800 to $1,800 monthly in some areas.

A federal lawsuit filed in January 2025 alleged racial discrimination against a Black-owned subcontractor, contributing to project tensions.

Critics describe the structure as imposing and out of place in the historic park. Resident Ken Woodard called it a “monstrosity” that erases local culture, per the Daily Mail.

Construction workers attributed delays to extensive DEI sessions, which included discussions on oppression and equity. A foreman recounted mandatory 90-minute workshops that distracted from work. These policies have led to cost overruns exceeding initial estimates by hundreds of millions.

Former President Donald Trump criticized the project in May 2025, calling it a “disaster” during a meeting with Canadian official Mark Carney.

Trump blamed “woke” and DEI hiring practices for massive overruns and claimed work had halted. The Obama Foundation refuted these assertions, stating the center remains on track.

In contrast, less than a mile away, Reverend Corey Brooks is building a $47 million Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center through Project HOOD on the notorious O Block.

Brooks, a conservative pastor, focuses on mentoring youth without relying on government aid or DEI mandates. His initiative emphasizes self-reliance and the American dream, employing over 150 locals in trades and education programs.

Brooks has fundraised creatively, including a 94-day rooftop stay in 2021 and an upcoming 3,000-mile Walk Across America starting September 1, 2025, from New York City.

He rejects victimhood narratives, stating his center will transform more lives than large-scale projects dependent on billionaire funding. Despite outreach, Brooks received no support from the Obama Foundation or similar groups.

The Obama Center promises to be a global destination with public amenities like gardens and a playground. However, ongoing lawsuits and community pushback highlight divisions over its effects.

As of August 2025, both projects reflect differing approaches to South Side revitalization.

REPORT: Muslim Student Was Exempted From Suspension in Loudoun County Locker Room Case Where Boys Objected to Presence of Female
August 21, 2025

Loudoun County Public Schools

A group of boys at a grade school in Loudoun County in Virginia were recently suspended from school because they objected to a female student in their locker room who identifies as male.

The female student even took pictures in the locker room but the boys were suspended for objecting. The case is outrageous.

The Gateway Pundit reported on this story:

The radical madness in Loudoun County, Virginia, just hit a new low. Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) has decided to SUSPEND two boys at Stone Bridge High School, not because they misbehaved, not because they broke the law, but because they dared to ask why a girl was in the boys’ locker room.

7News reported earlier this year that LCPS launched a Title IX investigation against the boys after they were caught on video asking the obvious question: Why is there a girl in the boys’ locker room?

That video, however, wasn’t recorded by the boys; it was recorded by the female student who identifies as male. A direct violation of LCPS policy, according to the news outlet.

Yet instead of disciplining the rule-breaker, the school launched a full-blown investigation against the boys themselves.

The school’s Title IX Office determined the boys were guilty of “sexual harassment” and “sex-based discrimination.”

Their punishment? A 10-day suspension, a no-contact order with the female student, forced meetings with administrators, and a permanent smear on their academic records that could destroy their college prospects.

Now it is being reported that one of the boys was exempted from the suspension. He happens to be a Muslim.

The Daily Signal confirmed this:

Glenn Youngkin, Virginia’s Republican governor, addressed the issue on “The John Fredericks Radio Show” on Tuesday.

He noted that “instead of pursuing an investigation into the biological female, the school system pursues an investigation against these three young students who are simply uncomfortable because there is a biological female in the male locker room.”

Youngkin noted Miyares’ investigation and said the attorney general thinks “this was a retaliatory process against these three young men.”

He also noted that Loudoun County Public Schools initially investigated three boys—one Muslim, two Christian—but dropped the investigation into the Muslim boy, while holding the Christian boys on the hook.

“This is just shocking, shocking behavior from a school system that’s supposed to be looking out for students, as opposed to driving this liberal-left agenda,” the governor added.

Is anyone in Loudoun County going to be asked to explain this?

Alina Habba Says Grassley Is Trying to Block Her Confirmation in the Senate (VIDEO)

Alina Habba Says Grassley Is Trying to Block Her Confirmation in the Senate (VIDEO)
August 21, 2025

Alina Habba, President Trump’s nominee for US Attorney of New Jersey, appeared on Fox News on Thursday evening to discuss the effort to block her confirmation.

Earlier Thursday, US District Judge Mathew Brann, an Obama appointee, said Alina Habba is “not lawfully holding the Office of US Attorney” of New Jersey.

The Pennsylvania-based federal judge oversaw a challenge to Alina Habba’s authority because the judges in New Jersey had a conflict of interest after they ousted her from her position as interim US Attorney last month.

A group of federal judges last month declined to extend Alina Habba’s term as interim US Attorney of New Jersey after Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries launched a pressure campaign to oust her.

Alina Habba’s term as interim US Attorney was set to expire after 120 days.

Habba resigned as Interim US Attorney and became Acting US Attorney for New Jersey after the Trump DOJ outmaneuvered the judges.

On Thursday evening, Alina Habba said Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley is trying to block her confirmation in the Senate by holding up the ‘blue slip’ tradition.

The ‘blue slip’ custom defers the judicial nominations to the home state senators.

Alina Habba called out Chuck Grassley for not ending the practice.

WATCH:

Last month President Trump told Grassley to drop the ‘blue slip’ custom that defers the nominations to the home state senators.

“Chuck Grassley, who I got re-elected to the U.S. Senate when he was down, by a lot, in the Great State of Iowa, could solve the “Blue Slip” problem we are having with respect to the appointment of Highly Qualified Judges and U.S. Attorneys, with a mere flick of the pen. Democrats like Schumer, Warner, Kaine, Booker, Schiff, and others, SLEAZEBAGS ALL, have an ironclad stoppage of Great Republican Candidates. Put simply, the President of the United States will never be permitted to appoint the person of his choice because of an ancient, and probably Unconstitutional, “CUSTOM,” that if you have, even one person in the opposite Party serving in the U.S. Senate, he/she must give consent, thereby completely stopping the opposite Party’s Nomination. The only way to beat this Hoax is to appoint a Democrat or, a weak and ineffective Republican. Therefore, I would never be able to appoint Great Judges or U.S. Attorneys in California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia, and other places, where there is, coincidentally, the highest level of crime and corruption — The places where fantastic people are most needed! Senator Grassley must step up, like Crooked Joe Biden did, when he openly broke, at least two times, the “Blue Slip” SCAM, and like others have done over the years, and let our Great Republican Judges and U.S. Attorneys BE CONFIRMED. He should do this, IMMEDIATELY, and not let the Democrats laugh at him and the Republican Party for being weak and ineffective. The Democrats have broken this ridiculous custom on us, it’s time that we break it on them. Chuck, I know you have the Courage to do this, DO IT!” Trump said on Truth Social.
