Earlier Thursday there were reports of an active shooter at Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
Police responded to a report of a shooter on campus as the students gathered on campus for first-year orientation.
“Radnor Township Police Department are on location at Villanova University for a repot of an active shooter. All nearby residents and students are asked to SHELTER IN PLACE AT this time,” Radnor Township Police Department said on Facebook on Thursday afternoon.
Video posted to X showed students running amid reports of a shooter on campus in the library.
Students at Villanova University were told to lock and barricade doors as an active shooter was reported on campus.
At about 4:30 p.m. received an alert that read: “ACTIVE SHOOTER on VU campus. Move to secure location. Lock/barricade doors. More info to follow.”
The Radnor Police Department has confirmed that there is an active shooter situation at Villanova University.
Reports of an active shooter at Villanova University come just hours after reports of an active shooter at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The active shooter alert at the Tennessee campus was lifted after it was confirmed there was no gunman.

President Trump is speaking to the press at a US Park Police facility in one of the highest crime areas of Washington, DC, after riding around the streets amid his federal takeover of the city.
As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, Trump announced that he would join local law enforcement and military personnel on patrol in the nation’s capital this evening, as part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to address rising crime rates in the city.
The President told conservative radio host Todd Starnes, “I’m going to be going out tonight, I think, with the police and with the military, of course. So we’re going to do a job.”
The President is joined by roughly 300 men and women from various agencies, including the DEA, ATF, US Marshals, Homeland Security Investigations, DC Metropolitan Police, FBI, and National Guard at the The United States Park Police Anacostia operations facility.
Several members of the Administration are also visiting the officers with Trump.
They arrived with hamburgers from the White House and Pizza for the law enforcement agents and National Guardsmen.
“Connolly, 42, left HMP Peterborough, a mixed men’s and women’s prison, with muted fanfare on Thursday after serving more than 300 days in prison. She was jailed last year for 31 months over a comment made in the wake of the Southport attack.”

During Ms. Connely time in prison, she was reportedly ‘manhandled without provocation’ by guards.
“Connolly was jailed for a post she made on X in the aftermath of the Southport killings on July 29 last year, during a period of rising public tension fueled by outrage about the murders and concern over illegal immigration.
In the post, she called for mass deportations and to ‘set fire to all the f—— hotels full of the b——- for all I care, while you’re at it, take the treacherous government [&] politicians with them’.”
She deleted the post four hours later.
“After her appeal was rejected [in May], Mr. Connolly said: ‘I think the system wanted to make an example of Lucy so other people would be scared to say things about immigration’.”
Ms. Connolly’s lengthy sentence shocked politicians such as PMs Boris Johnson and Liz Truss.
“She also won the backing of Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and owner of X, who accused Britain of operating a ‘two-tier’ justice system.”
The Trump administration can slash hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of research funding in its push to cut federal diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, the Supreme Court decided Thursday.
The high court majority lifted a judge’s order blocking $783 million worth of cuts made by the National Institutes of Health to align with Republican President Donald Trump’s priorities. The high court did keep Trump administration guidance on future funding blocked, however.
The court split 5-4 on the decision. Chief Justice John Roberts was along those who would have kept the cuts blocked, along with the court’s three liberals.
