Mega Public Offering of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
August 16, 2025

The Trump administration is considering the privatization of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac through an initial public offering (IPO) that could begin this year, selling between 5% and 15% of their shares. The transaction could raise around $30 billion, potentially becoming the largest IPO in history. These government-controlled entities, valued at over $500 billion, play a key role in U.S. housing finance, backing approximately 70% of the mortgage market.

Trump has discussed the plan with major banks and confirmed that the government will maintain oversight and implicit guarantees even after ending conservatorship. The privatization aims to

Democrat Mayor Caught in Fraud—And She’s Not Alone

Democrat Mayor Caught in Fraud—And She’s Not Alone

Democrat Mayor Caught in Fraud—And She’s Not Alone

Corruption in Democrat-run cities is sadly familiar, but the federal indictment of New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is historic and deeply troubling.

A grand jury has charged Cantrell with dozens of felony counts, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to obstruct justice, obstruction of justice, and making false statements.

This marks the first time in New Orleans’ history that a sitting mayor has faced criminal prosecution, an unprecedented low point for a city already plagued by crime and mismanagement.

The indictment paints a picture of systematic abuse of office. At the center of the case is Cantrell’s relationship with Jeffrey Paul Vappie, a member of her executive protection unit who prosecutors say developed an “intimate and personal relationship” with her in late 2021.

According to federal prosecutors, Cantrell and Vappie knowingly devised a scheme to defraud the city, with Vappie falsely claiming to be “on duty” while accompanying the mayor on at least 14 trips outside Louisiana, including international travel.

WATCH: Democrats like NANCY PELOSI and LETITIA JAMES EXPOSED on The Patriot Perspective—uncovering MAJOR insider trading & CORRUPTION scandals.

These trips, totaling over $70,000 in taxpayer-funded expenses, were not legitimate city business—they were personal excursions disguised as official duties.

The indictment goes further, charging Cantrell with a dozen counts of wire fraud. Prosecutors allege she obtained money and property “by means of false and fraudulent pretenses, representations, and promises.”

In plain terms, Cantrell is accused of using her office to enrich herself and those close to her at the expense of the taxpayers.

If an ordinary citizen stole $70,000 from the government, they would face years in prison. The law should not bend simply because the accused sits in city hall.

Equally alarming are the obstruction-related charges. Prosecutors allege that Cantrell conspired to obstruct justice, made false statements, and even delivered a false declaration before a grand jury.

These are not minor lapses—they are serious felonies aimed at concealing misconduct and undermining the justice system itself. A public official who lies under oath not only betrays the people but attacks the very foundation of accountability in government.

Mayor Cantrell’s indictment reflects a pattern of corruption and mismanagement in Democrat-run cities across the country. From Baltimore to Chicago to New Orleans, taxpayers watch their money squandered while crime rates climb and infrastructure decays.

New Orleans has struggled under Cantrell’s leadership, with residents leaving the city in growing numbers. Now, its mayor faces charges that could carry prison terms of five to twenty years.

Democrats are quick to accuse Republicans—especially Donald Trump—of corruption, often on exaggerated or partisan grounds.

Yet when one of their own is indicted by a federal grand jury on detailed charges, their silence is deafening.

The Department of Justice does not pursue indictments of this scale lightly. A grand jury only moves forward when the evidence is substantial. The narrative that this is somehow political does not hold up under the weight of dozens of felony counts backed by federal prosecutors.

The people of New Orleans deserve better. Tax dollars should be spent on fixing streets, improving schools, and fighting violent crime—not on personal vacations and hidden relationships.

Cantrell’s indictment is a breach of trust that every resident of New Orleans will feel. It should also serve as a warning to voters nationwide: corruption thrives when officials believe accountability is optional.

Donald Trump has long argued that the “swamp” extends far beyond Washington into state capitals and city halls. The Cantrell case proves him right.

The fight for honest government is not confined to Congress—it is just as urgent in New Orleans, Baltimore, and Chicago. Draining the swamp means holding leaders accountable at every level, regardless of political party.

LaToya Cantrell’s trial will unfold in court, but the damage to public trust is already done. For the first time in its history, New Orleans must confront the reality that its sitting mayor is not only ineffective but allegedly criminal.

Until voters demand integrity and accountability from their leaders, they will continue to see their cities mired in corruption—and their faith in government further eroded.

August 15, 2025

A leak of an alleged prison video of Idaho quadruple murderer Bryan Kohberger sparked an investigation by the Idaho Department of Corrections on Friday.

A video of Bryan Kohberger inside of his prison cell placing something on a shelf was circulating social media on Thursday and Friday.

It is unclear when the prison video of Kohberger was taken. Ada County Sheriff confirmed the footage of Kohberger circulating is not from Ada County Jail. The footage is also not from Latah County Jail.

The video appears to be real, however, the Idaho Department of Corrections said they are still working to confirm the veracity of the footage.

WATCH:

“We are aware of the videos circulating online and are investigating the matter. While we cannot yet confirm the veracity of the videos, if verified, they are a clear violation of IDOC policy and the parties responsible will be held accountable, up to and including termination,” the Idaho Department of Corrections said on X.

NewsNation reporter Brian Entin also reported on this new creepy prison video of Kohberger.

Watch:

Bryan Kohberger is being taunted by his inmates as he serves four consecutive life sentences at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution just south of Boise.

Kohberger, who was facing a firing squad if convicted of killing four University of Idaho students, accepted a plea deal and will spend life in prison without parole.

He is currently being housed in solitary confinement on “J Block” – and only gets 60 minutes of outdoor time per day.

According to the Daily Mail, inmates are taunting and tormenting Kohberger and shouting at him through the vents. It is unclear what the inmates are shouting, but they are reportedly targeting Kohberger and making his life a living hell.

The 30-year-old killer was indicted by a secret grand jury last year and charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary in the slayings of four University of Idaho students.

Kohberger fatally stabbed 20-year-old Ethan Chapin of Conway, Washington; 21-year-old Madison Mogen of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; 20-year-old Xana Kernodle of Avondale, Arizona; and 21-year-old Kaylee Goncalves of Rathdrum, Idaho on November 13, 2022.

A single source of male DNA was found on a knife sheath left behind at the crime scene next to Maddie Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves’ bodies.

The DNA found on the snap of the knife sheath was matched to Kohberger through investigative genetic genealogy (IGG).

“The sheath was later processed and had ‘Ka-Bar’ ‘USMC’ and the United States Marine Corps eagle globe and anchor insignia stamped on the outside of it,” Idaho police officer Brett Payne wrote in the 19-page affidavit. “The Idaho state lab later located a single source of male DNA (suspect Profile) left on the button snap of the knife sheath.”

After the gag order was partially lifted last month, Kaylee Goncalves’ father, Steve Goncalves, told NewsNation host Ashleigh Banfield that Kohberger’s murder was sexually motivated.

Steve Goncalves said there was evidence that Kohberger gagged his daughter Kaylee Goncalves. Kohberger also had searches for various porn fetishes on his phone for ‘drunk passed out girls’ and ‘gagging girls.’

IT’S HAPPENING: Homeless Encampments Are Already Being Cleared Out of Washington, DC (VIDEO)

Screencap of Twitter/X video.

Last week, when Trump was talking about cleaning up crime in Washington, DC, he also said that the homeless encampments are going to have to go as well.

He clearly wasn’t kidding because the encampments are already being removed, as you’ll see below.

This is a problem that has gone on for long enough. It only happens because the Democrats in charge of places like DC have allowed it to happen. It’s not compassionate, or sanitary for that matter.

The New York Post reports:

75 homeless camps in DC cleared by US Park Police since Trump’s ‘Safe and Beautiful’ executive order

Federal officials have cleared about 75 homeless camps around the nation’s capital under President Trump’s effort to clean up Washington, DC — and they’re not done yet.

United States Park Police have removed dozens of tents since the president penned the “Making the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful” executive order in March, the Department of the Interior told The Post Friday.

Authorities have also scrubbed up to 80 graffiti sites from Capitol Hill Parks as of Aug. 6, Interior officials said.

“President Trump signed the order to Make D.C. Safe and Beautiful in March, and our dedicated U.S. Park Police have been working around the clock since to enforce this directive, clean up our streets, and ensure our nation’s capital is safe,” Interior deputy press secretary Aubrie Spady revealed.

See the videos below:

This was way past due. People are tired of the nation’s capital looking like a garbage dump.

Conservative Pundit Sean Davis Explains the REAL Reason Democrats Are Panicked About What Trump is Doing With Crime in DC (VIDEO)
August 15, 2025

Screencap from YouTube video.

Over the last week, Democrats have put themselves in the indefensible position of defending crime in Washington, DC. They’re trying to cloak it in all of their usual complaints about Trump being an authoritarian or other nonsense, but at the end of the day, they are essentially defending criminals.

Sean Davis, the conservative pundit and CEO of The Federalist, appeared on FOX News this week and explained what Democrats are really worried about here.

Davis suggests that if Trump succeeds in making DC safer, the people who live there and in other blue cities are going to realize that living under such conditions is a choice that is being made by their leaders. In other words, it’s going to make Democrat leaders look terrible.

Via The Federalist:

“I think one thing Democrats are concerned about is if Donald Trump is able to clean up D.C., certainly if he’s able to do it under 30 days, then it shows that there’s no excuse for these other cities like L.A. and Chicago and Detroit and Philadelphia to be crime-ridden hellscapes,” said Federalist CEO Sean Davis during an interview on Jesse Watters Primetime. “It shows that that is a choice deliberately made by the Democrats who run those cities and that’s the last thing Democrats want, is for people to see that safety is a choice and it’s a choice Democrats are refusing to make.”

This video is cued to start at the 0:57 mark so just press play:

This is exactly right. Democrats hate what Trump is doing in Washington, DC because they are terrified that he will succeed. What will that say about them? It will tell the public that all of the crime in recent years was allowed to happen by the Democrats in charge and it won’t end with DC. People will quickly start asking about the crime problems in other blue cities.
