A fifteen-year-old boy was killed by a Nicaraguan illegal who was driving drunk in Louisiana on Thursday night.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office shared that the boy was riding his bicycle when Juan Alfredo Chavarria Lezama, 31, allegedly ran him over before fleeing the scene.

The boy was airlifted to an area hospital but died from the injuries.

Ultimately, the driver was identified as Lezama and apprehended a short time later.

Sheriff Jason Ard shared, “The 15-year-old male was airlifted to a local hospital where he would later succumb to his injuries.”

“Impairment (on the part of the driver) was observed at the scene.”

“Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver was over two times the legal Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) limit. The driver of the vehicle is now in the Livingston Parish Detention Center.”

Sheriff Ard later confirmed that Lezama is an illegal from Nicaragua.

“He’s an undocumented male, a Hispanic male, here illegally from what we’re gathering. He does have an ICE detainer at the time. He’s also charged with multiple charges like the vehicular homicide, reckless operation, DWI first offense,” Ard explained.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton delivers remarks. (DOJ)

The Cuellar political machine in South Texas is collapsing under the weight of its own corruption.

Congressman Henry Cuellar was indicted in May 2024 for accepting over $600,000 in bribes from a Mexican bank and Azerbaijan’s state-owned oil company.

But the problem extends far beyond the congressman.

According to reporting from NOTUS and statements from local officials, Henry Cuellar’s siblings—Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar and former municipal judge Rosie Cuellar—benefited from improper appointments, financial favoritism, and misuse of government staff.

Neither has been charged.

WATCH: The Patriot Perspective interviews Jay Furman, Henry Cuellar’s COMPETITOR in the 2024 election, as he EXPOSES the CLEAR ELECTION FRAUD that occurred AGAINST him!

In 2023, the FBI raided the Webb County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Cuellar told the press he was not the subject of the investigation. However, multiple officials confirmed that sheriff’s office employees were ordered to perform political work for the Cuellar family during official business hours.

That included campaign fundraising, voter outreach, and logistical support for Cuellar’s re-election efforts.

Public records show staff were reassigned from law enforcement roles to campaign duties, including organizing events.

Some employees were instructed to attend campaign functions while still on the county payroll. The sheriff ignored requests for comment.

The corruption extended to Rosie Cuellar, who in 2022 was appointed to a municipal judgeship in a border town that has no active courthouse.

She never heard a case.

The salary she received for the position has not been disclosed.

NOTUS confirmed that the court has no records, no court calendar, and no physical office. Her appointment existed only on paper—and resulted in compensation funded by taxpayers.

The Cuellars represent the worst of what one-party rule produces in South Texas.

Henry Cuellar has held elected office since 1987.

His wife, Imelda Cuellar, received over $100,000 from “consulting” contracts linked to the same foreign entities that are now central to the federal indictment.

Cuellar’s campaign committee took in $110,000 from ActBlue during a cycle in which the platform was flagged for more than 1,900 suspicious donations, many of which originated from foreign IP addresses.

The Cuellars are not the only ones; they are part of a political structure that rewards loyalty with taxpayer money.

The sheriff’s office is used as a campaign arm. Judgeships are handed out to family members who never show up. Legal shields protect elections, and challengers are blocked before they can get on the ballot.

The only meaningful response has come from Republicans. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has brought over 150 election fraud cases since 2020.

But under current law, Paxton cannot prosecute election crimes without approval from a local district attorney. In Webb County, the DA has refused to authorize any action related to the Cuellar family.

Until that legal barrier is removed, families like the Cuellars will continue to operate without consequences—winning elections, collecting salaries, and evading scrutiny in full view of the public.

By Wayne Allyn Root

In 3rd grade we called it, “Show and Tell.”

Anyone can say anything. But can you back it up with facts? Because seeing is believing.

Anyone can call their father a “war hero,” but having him show up in your classroom in uniform with 20 medals pinned to his chest is the way to prove it!

That’s the power of “seeing is believing.”

Two weeks ago, I was honored to be the opening speaker at the Gateway Pundit Conference in Las Vegas. My speech brought the house down.

It was all about the fact that we should enjoy this moment as conservatives, patriots, and MAGA warriors.

Because it doesn’t get any better than this.

President Trump is the greatest president of our lifetimes…and soon, I believe we will all agree, President Trump is the greatest president ever. PERIOD.

My contention is that Trump achieves more in a week than any previous President ever did in their entire presidency.

Every week Trump is the most successful and consequential president of our lifetimes…

And then next week he does it again!

President Trump has zoomed by my hero Ronald Reagan, like Reagan is standing still.

If you love America, and American Exceptionalism, and capitalism, and freedom, this is as good as it’s ever been, and my gut instinct says, this is as good as it will ever get.

So, enjoy the moment.

Before I give you the “Show and Tell” of Trump’s past week of accomplishments, here is my opening speech at The Gateway Pundit Conference. Watch the remarkable stories I compiled in just one week of Trump…

https://rumble.com/v6xl6gs-wayne-allyn-root-gateway-pundit-conference-august-9-2025.html

What a week. But the thing is…this week is even better!

Here are highlights of Trump’s accomplishments this week…

*On Friday, after weeks of massive pressure from President Trump, Fed Chief Jerome Powell finally announced, “conditions may warrant interest rate cuts.” The result? Another magnificent Trump rally on Wall Street. This is the final obstacle for Trump’s economy, out of the way. For the next 3 ½ years expect “Reagan on STEROIDS” for stocks, real estate, gold and Bitcoin. History books will call this “the Golden Age of Trump Prosperity.”

*Foreign holdings of US Treasuries are at all-time highs- the world is investing in America with Trump in charge.

*US manufacturing activity soared in July at the fastest rate so far this year. Trump has U.S. factories humming again.

*The average American will receive an almost $4,000 tax cut due to Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill.”

*DOGE savings add up to a savings of almost $1,300 per taxpayer.

*Trump’s EPA announces cancellation of $29 billion of green energy scam programs- which is 3 times the entire budget of the EPA.

*July’s border encounters were the lowest ever recorded in history.

*Over 1.5 million illegal aliens left America since January. That marks the first time the U.S. immigrant population has fallen in over 50 years.

*Trump administration will review all 55 million US legal immigrants who have US visas to see if they have committed any deportable offenses.

*Trump administration pauses all visas for foreign truck drivers.

*Trump signs Executive Order requiring English-Only policy to receive HUD housing and other federal benefits.

*Trump declares war on Mexican and Latin American drug cartels. U.S. military is prepping for strikes into Mexico and Venezuela.

*Mexico extradites 26 high-ranking Drug Cartel leaders to America for trial.

*Trump opens largest migrant detention facility in US history in El Paso.

*57% of Americans approve of Trump’s decision to order a new US Census with illegal aliens no longer counted.

*New York Appeals Court throws out $515 million civil fraud penalty against President Trump. Who would have believed just a year ago that Trump would be free and clear, and New York Attorney General Leticia James might be headed to prison?

*FBI raids Deep State loser John Bolton’s home and office on Friday morning. FBI Director Kash Patel announces “No one is above the law.” The hunters just officially became the hunted!

*With Trump’s federal troops in control, violent crime in Washington DC drops by 22% with zero murders in the past week.

*In amazing visual, President Trump goes out on patrol with police and National Guard in Washington DC.

*The US Supreme Court ruled Trump can terminate $783 million in DEI grants at the National Institutes of Health.

*Appeals Court allows Trump to dismantle Elizabeth Warren’s favorite agency, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

*Another Appeals Court ruling allows Trump to cut billions in foreign aid payments.

*President Trump announces Executive Order outlawing mail-in ballots nationwide, as well as targeting for elimination easily manipulated voting machines.

*Trump announces massive Social Security cleanup with 275,000 illegal aliens removed, plus 12.4 million dead people over age 120 removed from the database.

*Trump’s HHS announced its reviving a Vaccine Task Force on Safer Childhood vaccines…while the Trump Administration announces they will get justice for Americans who endured Biden’s vaccine discrimination for refusing religious accommodation requests.

*Trump orders a review of all woke content in museums nationwide.

*Trump calls for the release of conservative political prisoner and Gold Star mom Tina Peters in Colorado. He says she is being persecuted for catching Democrats cheating in elections. He says, “If she is not released, I am going to take harsh measures.”

*Trump promised no US boots on the ground in Ukraine.

*A US military raid in Syria resulted in two leading ISIS leaders being killed.

*Study reports that in all 30 states that track party affiliation, Democrats are hemorrhaging. In the past 4 years the swing to the GOP is 4.5 million voters. Trump has put the entire Democrat Party into a death spiral.

*New polling shows Trump’s popularity soaring, with a plus 10 approval rating. White voters give Trump a near all-time record 64% support.

Keep in mind this is one WEEK of Trump’s accomplishments!

Every week President Trump proves he is the greatest president of my lifetime…and soon-to-be- recognized as the greatest president ever. Period.

And then next week, he does it again.

Greg Gutfeld is one of the few bright lights remaining at Fox News, and he showed why last week with his take on the Bolton raid.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the FBI raided Bolton’s Maryland home on Friday in an investigation that FBI Director Kash Patel is leading. They also raided his office in DC.

The investigation is reportedly linked to a classified documents probe years ago, but was later shut down under the Biden administration.

As the raid began, FBI Director Kash Patel took to X and wrote, “NO ONE is above the law.”

On Friday afternoon, Gutfeld was fired up as he delivered a savage reality check to the RINOS and Democrats who threw tantrums over the raid, reminding them of what they did to Trump, so turnabout is fair play.

He also delivered a classic quote about Trump’s gift to the GOP: “balls the size of Jupiter.”

Talk about not mincing words.

WATCH:

GUTFELD: Some say it’s retribution, I say who cares. Don’t lecture me on timing of lawfare, don’t lecture me on politically motivated investigations. You guys invented this: you loved doing it to Trump because you didn’t think it through.

You were so confident that Trump was toast that you could rattle off free punch after free punch without any fear of reprisal. So, is it retribution? I don’t know.

But when you think about the constant lawfare, the gerrymandering…The Dems never expected it to happen to them. They’re like home invaders who didn’t expect a well-armed occupant to show up and Trump is well-armed.

This is kind of an ongoing masterclass for the “new Republican Party” to quote Greasy Gavin, on how to fight fire with fire. The conservative movement, which I loved for the longest time , they were kind of happy to fritter away their influence and power on the notion that they were always above returning fire…And then they don’t do anything and go back and smoke their cigars.

They always felt it was beneath them to get in the ring and hit back. So, one of the presents that Trump gave the Republicans that they desperately needed were balls the size of Jupiter.

The Gateway Pundit Exclusive: Funerals of Burma’s Fallen Resistance Soldiers

The Gateway Pundit Exclusive: Funerals of Burma’s Fallen Resistance Soldiers

The Gateway Pundit Exclusive: Funerals of Burma’s Fallen Resistance Soldiers
August 24, 2025

The Karenni resistance forces currently hold most of the territory of Karenni State, as well as parts of the Karenni-majority areas in neighboring Shan State. However, their final push to drive the junta out of the urban centers has been slow.

The Battle of Pasaung, which began on August 14, was a crucial step in securing Karenni control of their territory. Yet the junta’s overwhelming advantage in airpower, artillery, drones, and mortars inflicted serious casualties on the resistance.

My other stories about the lead-up to the battle and the early part of the fight itself are on The Gateway Pundit.

The morning after the battle of Battle of Pasaung, on August 15, I accompanied the priest to the funerals for the Karenni soldiers who were killed. When a soldier is killed at the front, the body is washed and sent back to his unit, where a mass wake is held for all the soldiers lost from that unit. Later, the bodies are moved to the family home for the funeral mass, if the soldier is Catholic. This unit had lost seven men, but across all units the death toll from that single day of fighting was much higher.

The bodies were laid out, wrapped in blankets with offerings near their heads and a picture of each soldier in life. Above each body was a handwritten sign with the soldier’s name and unit. The embalmers worked hurriedly in full view of mourners and families, pumping the bodies full of chemicals to reduce the smell so the families could hold a funeral the next day.

The grief at a unit wake is especially heavy because the soldiers often come from the same communities and are sometimes related. Each death strikes deeper across the civilian population. Soldiers, siblings, civilians, all are affected, but the toll on the mothers is indescribable. Even worse, some soldiers had escaped government-controlled areas to join the resistance.

Because their parents still lived under the regime, the bodies could not be returned home or the families would be punished. Those mothers had to learn of their sons’ deaths over Starlink, if they even had access, and would never have the closure of a funeral.

Father told me that one of the Catholic soldiers who was killed had already been wounded during the last attempt to take Pasaung, back in February and March. He recovered, returned to the fight, and this time he was killed. The soldier’s name was Gianni. He was only 20 years old. And now he would never be 21.

The next morning, the deacon who assisted Father during the funeral mass was a seminarian about to be ordained as a priest. He was also Gianni’s cousin, again driving home just how small and tightly knit these communities are. At Gianni’s head was a heroic picture of him in life, having made the decision to risk death in order to protect his people.

The soldier was laid out in his family’s home, with his equipment at his feet and an offering table beside him with his favorite snacks. Photo by Antonio Graceffo.

There was also an offering table with incense, candles, beer, and Gianni’s favorite snacks. I asked Father about this, since it’s generally what we see at funerals for Buddhist soldiers, but he explained that it is a local tradition, and normal even for Catholics. At Gianni’s feet was a stack of his rucksack and military equipment, which, in a similar fashion, would be buried with him.

The dead soldier’s equipment would be buried with him. Photo by Antonio Graceffo.

Father asked me to say a few words at the funeral. And so, I reminded the faithful of Job. I told them that I don’t know why the people of Burma are suffering, and I don’t know when the war will end, only God knows that.

But like Job, their faith is being tested, and like Job, they remain true to their belief in God. I then reminded them that Gianni’s sacrifice was the fulfillment of John 15:13: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Hollywood tells us that soldiers suffer trauma because of the people they have killed. But killing the enemy causes far less trauma than experiencing the loss of innocents. In battle, the small handful of medics witness every single injury and death. Back in the village, the priest must bury all the dead, many of whom he baptized as children.

And the families are bombarded from all sides with news of cousins, relatives, and sons—both soldiers and civilians, killed and displaced on a daily basis. The trauma runs through the entire society. And while it is a shared experience, each person endures their own separate war.

The resistance suffers from a shortage of vests, and helmets are almost nonexistent. Even worse, they face a shortage of weapons and bullets. I personally saw soldiers going to the front without weapons, and one soldier told me he only had three bullets—.22 caliber. In the battle, nearly all of the casualties came from airstrikes, mortars, drones, and artillery, which suggests that most of the resistance soldiers never got close enough to fire at the junta troops.

The impact China and Russia are having on this war is obvious, and the asymmetrical nature of the fighting is largely the result of international law. Despite sanctions, the junta can import unlimited quantities of advanced weapons from China and Russia.

At the same time, it is illegal for the resistance to smuggle even small amounts of bullets into the country. Getting caught smuggling Starlink equipment or a drone jammer can result in years in prison.

The West and the UN have condemned the junta and rejected the coup, yet international law favors the regime. The resistance has been fighting for 80 years with whatever weapons they can scrounge or make. It is obvious they will not quit. So, the deaths will continue forever, unless the international community effectively cuts off the junta’s supply of jet fuel, weapons, and ammunition from China and Russia.
