During a recent appearance on the Jesse Watters show, writer and pundit Michael Shellenberger was asked for his opinion about the John Bolton raid and what it means. Watters wondered if it’s a sign of things to come.

Shellenberger clearly thinks more is coming. He suggested that the Trump administration and the FBI are going after the people behind the Russia collusion hoax.

Millions of Trump supporters would approve if that’s the case. People have been waiting years to see the people behind all of this brought to justice.

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

WATTERS: Do you think this is a prelude to Brennan, Clapper, Comey, a lot of the other rap scallions who conspired to sabotage the presidency?

SHELLENBERGER: I mean, look, I’ve been told, and I’m sure you’ve heard this too, is that the Trump administration is serious. The Department of Justice is serious. The FBI is serious about prosecuting the Russia collusion hoax. That is what it looks like.

And when you kind of look at the whole thing, I mean, to some extent, they’re making it up as they go along. But I mean, we had e-mails, we had Intelligence released a couple of weeks ago that suggested that Adam Schiff, that a conversation with Adam Schiff where he said that they were looking for, you know, maybe not criminal prosecution, but possibly impeachment. That was way back in 2017, in to 2019 they get that first impeachment and you see Bolton again saying — he is being very creative in his book, describing all the ways in which he thought that Trump should have been charged with impeachment, or the impeachment process should have gone and criticizing the Democrats for making their scope too narrow.

He wanted it to just be around a whole set of decisions that John Bolton happened to disagree with and make that the basis of impeaching the President.

Watch the clip below:

You just know that a lot of people in Washington, DC are lawyering up right now.

CNN Continues to Beclown Themselves in Their Ongoing Quest to ‘Get’ Trump (VIDEO)

For a decade now, people in media have been trying to ‘get’ Trump, especially the folks at CNN. It never works and they end up looking like fools, yet they keep repeating the effort as if they’re stuck in a loop.

One recent example came this week when one of their correspondents feigned surprise over Trump calling himself the country’s chief law enforcement officer. She acted shocked as she revealed this on the air.

You could certainly be forgiven for arguing that the Attorney General is the chief law enforcement officer in the land, but the Constitution is pretty explicit about the president’s role.

Take a look at the clip below, and note that the person sharing it is the current Assistant White House Comms Director.

Townhall shares this excerpt from the Constitution:

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

CNN could have started the conversation on that point, but that wouldn’t have served their purpose, which is to make every single thing Trump ever says or does a scandal.

They just end up looking like idiots over and over again.

Former Secret Service Chief Paid Himself a Bonus

Former Secret Service Chief Paid Himself a Bonus

Former acting Secret Service Director Ron Rowe gave himself a senior leadership “performance” bonus around the holidays in December after previously serving as the second in command of the agency, leading up to the two assassination attempts against President Trump last year, according to multiple knowledgeable sources.

The agency pays nearly everyone in senior executive leadership positions bonuses – many worth thousands of dollars – at the end of the year, and that includes Rowe, the sources said.

Because Rowe was the acting director at the time, he moved forward with giving himself a bonus and then continued to remain on the payroll listed as a “senior advisor” for nearly half of this year – months after Trump tapped Sean Curran as the new director. Rowe could do so by using up all accumulated sick and leave time, sources tell RCP. Rowe has since announced that he had joined the Chertoff Group, the national security consulting firm run by former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.

Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who resigned in disgrace after Trump was nearly killed at the Butler rally and rallygoer Corey Comperatore was murdered, did not receive a bonus last year because she was no longer employed by the agency at the end of the year, these sources confirmed.

Meanwhile, the first quarterly installment of promised retention bonuses for agents who agreed not to jump ship to another government law enforcement job or retire in the aftermath of the morale-sinking assassination attempts has been delayed for weeks. On Wednesday, USSS leaders once again reassured agents in an email that their promised retention bonuses are coming and would be paid by the end of August.

The information is helping ease some anxiety for agents miffed by multiple retention check delays – an important morale booster as the Secret Service prepares for President Trump’s ride-along tonight with D.C. law enforcement and National Guard troops. Trump wants to see for himself their efforts to crack down on crime in the nation’s capital, but such a hands-on D.C. night tour will pose a complex challenge for the Secret Service, which is charged with the unusual task of protecting a president while accompanying law enforcement officers on patrol.

USSS leadership sent an email to all agents Wednesday after RealClearPolitics once again inquired about the ongoing delays with the first quarterly installment of their retention bonuses. When the funds are fully disbursed over the next year, the retention incentives will amount to tens of thousands of dollars per employee who agreed to stay on the job and not to leave the agency.

The new email updated the agents to let them know that all Uniformed Division officers who deserved the retention bonuses had received them, while the agency was paying other agents in alphabetical order – and had disbursed the funds to agents with last names starting with the letter “A” through “F” so far, a source familiar with the matter told RCP.

Once again, Curran promised that the agency would complete all the retention-bonus payments by the end of the month.

The nearly month-long delay in receiving the retention bonus was caused by a data-processing glitch, sources said, and exacerbated by DOGE personnel cuts and buyouts to the department in charge of doling out the bonuses.

For many in the Service, the first installment of the bonus will amount to 15% of their annual salaries and tens of thousands of dollars once fully received. These agents agreed to sign the bonus offer earlier this year as a way to stem the tide of agents retiring or departing to other agencies, such as the Drug Enforcement Agency or the Homeland Security Department.

Congress provided an extra $231 million to the Secret Service after the assassination attempts last year to help the agency deal with budget shortfalls and severe manpower issues.

The delays in receiving the retention bonuses, coupled with ongoing heavy workloads (European leaders were in town earlier this week, and the agency is preparing for the annual United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York next month), have spurred additional resentment among some rank-and-file, captured by a series of memes circulating among agents and UD officers.

After senior leaders received their bonuses last year, some believe there’s been a lack of urgency to deliver the rank-and-file agents their retention bonuses.

“If bosses pay or schedules are affected, things start changing — and that’s about the only way things change,” one insider remarked.

RealClearPolitics first inquired about the missing bonuses on Aug. 5. At the time, an agency spokesman stressed that recruitment and retention are top priorities for Curran and that bonuses would begin to be paid out starting Aug. 11.

“We understand the impact this delay had on our employees and are committed to ensuring it is resolved as quickly as possible,” a spokesman said at the time.

Trump Administration Blocks Ukraine From Using US-Provided Long-Range Missiles on Strikes in Russian Territory: REPORT

Trump Administration Blocks Ukraine From Using US-Provided Long-Range Missiles on Strikes in Russian Territory: REPORT

Zelensky may also experience consequences of Trump’s dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in the peace process.

Did the US pull the plug on Ukrainian strikes in Russian territory using the US-provided missiles?

After the historic summit between Donald J. Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska, it was stipulated that Russia and Ukraine would negotiate the next meeting of Putin with Kiev leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Zelensky and his Euro-Globalist mentors have muddied the waters considerably – while Russia is putting its foot down and insisting on their long-known demands.

From a distance, Trump has decried the lack of progress, and said that in two weeks he may impose sanctions and tariffs (on Russia), or else he may pull back from the peace process and let it play out.

Then, yesterday, the Kiev regime attacked the Druzhba pipeline for the third time, cutting the flow of Russian crude oil to Hungary and Slovakia, endangering their energy security.

Trump responded to a complaint by his long-time ally Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán saying that he was ‘very angry about it’.

Coincidence or not, here’s what was reported today, initially by the WSJ (behind a paywall):

Reuters reported:

“The Pentagon has been quietly blocking Ukraine from using U.S.-made long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to strike targets inside Russia, limiting Kyiv’s ability to employ these weapons in its defense against Moscow’s invasion, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing U.S. officials.

The news came as U.S. President Donald Trump has grown more frustrated publicly over the three-year-old war and his inability to secure a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.”

“Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has final say over use of the long-range weapons, the Journal said.

Neither Ukraine’s presidential office nor the defense ministry immediately responded to Reuters’ request for a comment outside business hours. The White House and the Pentagon also did not immediately respond to requests for comment.”

Victory for Christian University Target By Years of Lawfare from Biden Administration

Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona

The Gateway Pundit reported in May that the Department of Education under President Trump rescinded penalties imposed by the Biden Regime against Phoenix, Arizona’s Grand Canyon University (GCU) for allegedly misleading students about tuition costs.

This was one of several attacks on the university during its years-long battle with the federal government under Biden.

As The Gateway Pundit reported in December 2023, the FTC announced a lawsuit against the school, alleging “false advertising,” after the Department of Education imposed a massive $37.7 million fine on October 31.

The university announced in May that the IRS reaffirmed its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, “further refuting lawfare” the university has faced. “The recent IRS and ED decisions stand in stark contrast to false accusations made by officials in the Biden Administration related to GCU’s nonprofit status and doctoral disclosures,” the university said.

Now, GCU has announced that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has voted unanimously to drop its lawsuit against the school.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) voted unanimously today to dismiss its lawsuit against Grand Canyon University’s largest service provider — Grand Canyon Education — and Brian Mueller, ending years of coordinated lawfare by government officials under the Biden Administration against the largest Christian university in the country.

The lawsuit, which already had been dismissed by the United States District Court of Arizona against Grand Canyon University on jurisdictional grounds, has now been completely dropped after all parties filed a joint Stipulation of Dismissal with Prejudice with the court.

In a unanimous ruling issued by FTC Chairman Andrew N. Ferguson and the other two commissioners, he stated: “This case, which we inherited from the previous administration, was filed nearly two years ago and has suffered losses in two motions to dismiss. These losses are compounded by recent events: Grand Canyon secured a victory over the Department of Education in a related matter before the Ninth Circuit; the Department of Education rescinded a massive fine levied on related grounds; and the Internal Revenue Service confirmed that Grand Canyon University is properly claiming 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation designation.”

GCU President Brian Mueller shared his appreciation that current FTC officials took an objective look at the case and recognized the numerous agencies and courts that have already ruled in GCU’s favor on the same allegations.

“As we have stated from the beginning, not only were these accusations false, but the opposite is true,” Mueller stated.

“We go above and beyond what is required in our disclosures and are recognized as a leader in this area.”

GCU has maintained that the allegations were a coordinated effort by former officials within the Biden Administration to undermine a thriving Christian university.

“They threw everything they had at us for four years, and yet, despite every unjust accusation leveled against us, we have not only survived but have continued to thrive as a university,” Mueller continued.

“That is a testament, first and foremost, to the strength and dedication of our faculty, staff, students and their families. Above all, it speaks to our unwavering belief that the truth would ultimately prevail.”
