Late on a Tuesday evening, a daring and meticulously calculated crime sent shockwaves through the French capital: thieves broke into the National Natural History Museum in Paris and made off with gold samples worth about €600,000 (roughly $700,000) in raw value.

Officials report that the stolen items included specimens of native gold, along with rare and unrefined pieces of gold mixed with silver, known as electrum.

The gold was lifted from the museum’s geology and mineralogy gallery. Among the loot is a striking gold-and-quartz nugget from California’s Donatia mine, measuring roughly 9 by 8.5 cm, which was donated by a wealthy collector.

What’s particularly alarming is the thieves’ professionalism. They didn’t smash in randomly, instead employing heavy tools like an angle grinder and a blowtorch.

The thieves precisely targeted specific display cases protected by armored glass, and had clearly mapped out high-value targets in advance.

The museum director, Emmanuel Skoulios, stated that the perpetrators were “fully aware of where they needed to go.”

Security concerns are now at the forefront. The museum’s alarm and surveillance systems are under intense scrutiny.

Some sources indicate that a cyberattack in July may have compromised those systems, though it’s not yet confirmed if it played a direct role in this theft.

France has been experiencing a spate of similar thefts lately. Museums and institutions that once felt secure in preserving national heritage are now being exposed as increasingly vulnerable.

This raid adds to a series of recent high-profile lootings: priceless porcelain stolen in Limoges, smashed display cases in other Paris museums, and jewelry snatched in broad daylight.

Public outrage is building as citizens question whether the state is still capable of protecting France’s cultural heritage, which truly belongs to its people.

If criminals can target gold in such revered institutions using professional tools and apparent inside knowledge, then what else remains unprotected?

Meanwhile, the National Natural History Museum has temporarily closed its mineralogy gallery while conducting a thorough inventory to determine if anything else might be missing.

As heists gradually become the norm due to an erosion of security and oversight, it is not just monetary losses afflicting France, but profound damage to national pride and identity.

First lady Melania Trump joined Catherine, Princess of Wales, on Thursday in a day of play at Windsor Castle.

The first lady joined Queen Camilla for a tour that included Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Royal Library.

She then went outdoors with Princess Kate to join a group of Scouts’ Squirrels learning about nature, according to People.

The princess and first lady pitched in to help the 4- to 6-year-old children, with Melania Trump taking instruction from the various children as she helped color an illustration of a bear.

As the children built “bug hotels” out of cardboard and tubes, the first lady said, “Show me how, what I should do.”

She was asked her favorite bug and replied, “A ladybug.”

The Trumps’ state visit began Wednesday, where a state banquet capped a day of pageantry, according to the BBC.

King Charles praised Trump for “finding solutions to some of the world’s most intractable conflicts.”

“Our people have fought and died together for the values we hold dear,” Charles said.

In speaking of the relationship between Britain and the United states, Trump said “special does not begin to do it justice”.

On Thursday, Trump met with Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his country house, Chequers, and unveiled a massive package of technology investments in Britain, according to NBC.

Trump voiced “disagreement” with Starmer over Britain’s support for a Palestinian state, according to ABC.

“One of our few disagreements, actually,” Trump said.

Starmer said, he and Trump agree there must be a peace process to end the conflict in Gaza, and Trump said, he wants hostages held by Hamas freed “right now.”

“We have to have the hostages back immediately,” Trump said.

“That’s what the people of Israel want. They want them back. And we want the fighting to stop. And it’s going to stop, but a lot of bad things — you know, Hamas, said that they’re going to put the hostages up as bait. They’re going to put the hostages in front of any attack. And that’s pretty brutal. We haven’t heard that one in a long time. So, we have to remember that,” Trump continued.

Screencap of Twitter/X video.

Is there one decent man in Hollywood? Maybe.

Actor Rainn Wilson, who is perhaps best known for his work on the TV series ‘The Office’ recently called out his liberal Hollywood friends for celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Wilson was appearing on the podcast of far left actor Mark Ruffalo, who (amazingly) seemed to agree with him.

Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised. Back in April, Rainn Wilson pushed back on a host on MSNBC, explaining to her that no one trusts the media anymore because of how badly they bungled their reportage of the 2024 election.

FOX News reports:

Rainn Wilson recounts liberal friends having a ‘kind of a good riddance’ response to Charlie Kirk’s killing

On his “Soul Boom” podcast Wednesday, “The Office” star Rainn Wilson recounted some of his liberal friends having a “kind of a good riddance” reaction to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk last week.

“I spoke to a couple of — let’s say — some liberal friends last night at an event, and they were like, ‘You won’t find me shedding any tears,’ and someone else was like, ‘Oh well.’ There was a little bit of a, kind of a good riddance thing, and it’s like, ‘Guys, no,” he told actor Mark Ruffalo. “We cannot think or talk that way. That is not okay.”

Earlier in the podcast, Wilson noted that while he didn’t agree with Kirk’s ideas, “shooting someone that we disagree with, even if they’re vociferous and loud and out there, is so colossally wrongheaded.”

The exchange between the two actors, Wilson explained, was a clip of a future episode that has not yet aired.

Watch the video below:

Isn’t it astounding how few people in Hollywood have spoken out in this way? What would it cost them professionally to denounce cold-blooded murder?

Piers Morgan UNLOADS on Crybaby Don Lemon — Calls Him a “D**k” After He Melts Down Over Getting “Ambushed” with the Very Clip That Got Him FIRED from CNN
September 18, 2025

Piers Morgan challenges Don Lemon during a fiery segment on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where Lemon grew defensive after being confronted with the very clip that led to his CNN firing.

Piers Morgan absolutely eviscerated washed-up CNN has-been Don Lemon on his show Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Lemon, who was fired last year after his “sexist past-her-prime” rant about Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, thought he could rehabilitate his image on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Instead, he ended up throwing a tantrum about being “ambushed” when confronted with his own words.

“Don Lemon is going absolutely berserk about me on his Instagram story… which makes me think he’s panicking about how he comes over in our interview that drops on @PiersUncensored tonight,” Morgan posted on X ahead of the interview.

“He’s right to panic… he comes over a whiny, touchy, arrogant little d*ck.”

Morgan played the moment that ended Lemon’s career, where the former CNN anchor declared that women are only “in their prime” in their 20s, 30s, and maybe 40s. When pressed by Morgan if he regretted the statement, Lemon grew visibly irritated and accused Morgan of “ambushed” interview.

Lemon kept yapping, complaining endlessly about the “ambush,” even questioning if Morgan was “that involved in the editorial process of your own show.”

At one point, Morgan had enough of Lemon’s antics and snapped, calling him a “d*ck.”

Piers Morgan
With Charlie Kirk’s death, a lot of people on the left have come out gleefully celebrating what happened. A lot of people have been posting stuff on social media, very happy. They’ve turned out to be teachers, professors, doctors, nurses, people in extraordinary positions of power over other human beings. What should happen to those people?

Don Lemon
Now, I don’t believe that anyone should be celebrating anybody’s death at all, ever. I don’t think anyone should be celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death. We know, and you know, peers, that freedom of speech does come with consequences, and there are limits. There are limitations to freedom of speech. If you work for a private company, they have the right to fire you or discipline you for whatever it is that they want. If you break the rules, their codes of conduct, then you have to suffer the circumstances. They don’t believe in canceling people.

Piers Morgan
Do you feel you were a victim of cancel culture?

Don Lemon
Probably, yes. I’m sure that I was a victim of cancel culture, but I would say mostly on the right for cancel culture.

Piers Morgan
But this is what led to you leaving CNN. Let’s take a look at the clip.

Don Lemon (CNN Interview)
She says people, politicians or something are not in their prime. Nikki Haley is in her prime. Sorry. When a woman is considered to be in her prime—in her 20s and 30s and maybe 40s. What are you talking about? That’s not according to me. Prime for what? It depends. It’s just like prime. If you look it up, if you Google, “When is a woman in her prime?” It’ll say 20s, 30s, and 40s. I don’t necessarily agree with that. I think she has to be careful about saying that.

Piers Morgan
When you watched that, Don, I happened to be watching that live, and I was like, well, what did you just say?

Piers Morgan
If you had a do-over, would you say that again? What led you to say that?

Don Lemon
Okay, Piers, let me just say, I’m going to answer your question, but just so the audience knows, and I hope you don’t cut this out—when I ask you what subjects you wanted to talk about, you know what you said to me? You said, “I want to talk to you about freedom of speech in America and the response to Charlie Kirk’s death.”

Not once did you mention that we were going to talk about CNN or whatever. And had I known that, I probably wouldn’t have accepted this interview. You have invited me on many times, and I tell you, Piers, I know you. I would come on your show, but I don’t do panels.

And so when you said, “I’m not going to be involved in a panel,” I agreed to come on your show. But I thought you would also stick by the subjects that you told me that you were going to talk about rather than try to ambush me with something.

Piers Morgan
Don, just to be clear, you and I haven’t had any conversation about your appearance here. You’re talking about my team talking to you?

Don Lemon
Yeah. No. And I saw you, Piers, in a restaurant, and I said, “Hey, Piers, good to see you. I would come on your show, but I don’t do panels.” And I said the same thing to your bookers.

There’s only one of you, Doug. When I asked you… right, okay. Yes. And I said, that’s why I agreed to do it. But when you asked me, or when your team asked me what subjects, and I asked them two or three times—I have text messages—“What do you want to cover?” Not once was CNN mentioned. So I don’t appreciate being ambushed, but let me answer your question since we were here.

Piers Morgan
Hang on one second, Don. Hang on one second. Let’s just be crystal clear about what’s just happened. You brought up the subject of cancel culture. I asked you, did you feel your departure from CNN was an example of that? And you answered the question. I think it’s perfectly reasonable.

Don Lemon
And I answered the question.

Piers Morgan
Perfectly reasonable in that. If you said to me, “I don’t want to talk about it,” it’s fine. No, it’s your story. You said what you’re going to say.

Don Lemon
That is completely disingenuous. I don’t like arguing like this. I’m not going to get into an argument with you. Piers, I think that’s completely disingenuous. I think anyone watching that—

Piers Morgan
What are you talking about?

Don Lemon
And so if you will let me, if you will allow me, please—

Piers Morgan
What are you talking about?

Don Lemon
Did you invite me here to interrupt me? Or are you going to let me answer the question?

Piers Morgan
I think you’re being a complete dick, if I’m honest with you.

Don Lemon
Okay.

Piers Morgan
I do.

Don Lemon
Well, that’s very kind and respectful of you.

Piers Morgan
It wasn’t intended to be kind or respectful.

WATCH:

Lemon insisted over and over that Morgan betrayed him, while Morgan reminded him that free speech works both ways.

Don Lemon
With you… are you not that involved in the editorial process of your own show, that you don’t know what the guest is going to talk about on the program, Peter?

Piers Morgan
You’ve already admitted that one of the subjects was free speech, and yet here you are getting enraged about me exercising my right to free speech to ask you a few questions.

Don Lemon
Piers, I’m not enraged. I’m not enraged at all.
