Sen. John Fetterman has urged Democrats to “turn the temperature down” following the brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk.

During an interview with CNN host Manu Raju on Sunday, Fetterman was asked about Democrats comparing President Trump to Adolf Hitler and the febrile atmosphere that currently engulfs American politics.

He responded:

I think we can’t just be well, Trump is always wrong or that we’re going to set the country on fire or whatever.  That’s just not true either, of course.

But, you know, when I represent a state like Pennsylvania that keeps you honest and you always can’t forget that a lot of Americans happen to disagree with you, that does not mean that they are fascists, or now they want to shred the Constitution.

If you actually compare him to an actual autocrat, that is not just that. Now, last night, for example, people were complaining, they were protesting about, oh, that’s Hitler.

I think you just don’t ever, ever compare anyone to Hitler and those kinds of extreme things.

Now, look what happened to Charlie Kirk. I mean, the man was shot. Now we have to turn the temperature down.

It’s like we can’t compare people to these kinds of figures in history. And this is not an autocrat. This is a product of a democratic election.

Fetterman, who is in his first term as a Senator for Pennsylvania, has staked himself a position as perhaps the most moderate Democrat in the entire Congress.

Earlier this week, he warned that people who support socialism in America are “morons” after speaking with people in Croatia who lived through it.

“I literally was in a former communist nation, and I asked that. I said, ‘Some people in my party, some of the lefties are talking about socialism now. What do you think?’”

”And he’s like, ‘That’s the worst thing ever. You would never want to live here, I’ve lived through that kind of a thing.”

“You’re going to need a reality check if you ever adopt any of those things. You know, like, you are morons. It’s like, it was a nightmare for us, and now we are a free market nation.’ It was Croatia.”

Senior Trump Administration officials, over 85 members of Congress, and other prominent conservatives are among those gathered to pray and memorialize Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was assassinated by a deranged leftist, Antifa-tied transgender sympathizer while speaking at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

Funeral arrangements have been made for his official memorial at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona, where his body will be laid to rest.

Turning Point has invited everyone to attend, pay their respects, and say goodbye to the 31-year-old conservative juggernaut. “Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend,” the organization wrote, announcing the memorial.

Thousands of supporters were lined up when the doors opened to the Kennedy Center memorial at 6 pm ET.

Shortly after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the media attacked President Trump for blaming the radical left. Outlets suggested the shooter might have been a disgruntled right-winger who thought Kirk wasn’t conservative enough, or even floated the absurd idea that it was an accident, a supporter firing a gun in celebration.

One prominent mainstream media article claimed, “Some have attempted to draw a link between Robinson and the far-right Groyper movement,” but provided no actual evidence for this connection. The claim that “Tyler apparently told police that he admired Nick Fuentes” appears in one source but remains disputed and unverified.

The dishonesty was staggering, echoing how the press had tried to portray the Trump shooter as a Trump supporter. Occam’s razor points to the simplest and most obvious explanation: the shooter hated conservatives, and in Kirk’s case, was a left-wing extremist with ties to trans ideology. Unsurprisingly, that turned out to be correct.

So far, the media has not apologized to Trump or to conservatives who correctly identified the shooter’s motives from the beginning.

Based on available evidence, Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, appears to have been motivated by left-wing, antifascist ideology. FBI sources confirmed that bullet casings were engraved with slogans tied to transgender and antifascist themes, including “Hey fascist! Catch!” a phrase echoing Antifa rhetoric and lyrics from Bella Ciao, the Italian antifascist anthem now co-opted by Antifa.

Robinson was living in a romantic relationship with a transgender boyfriend (male transitioning to female), and investigators believe his anger at Kirk stemmed in part from viewing Kirk’s positions on gender identity as “hateful” toward people like his partner. This relationship is seen as a key element in establishing motive.

Friends and family stated that although Robinson’s family was conservative, he had become increasingly political in recent years and expressed hatred for both Trump and Charlie Kirk. At a recent dinner, he even mentioned Kirk’s upcoming campus event. Taken together, the physical evidence on the ammunition, his personal relationships, and his stated opposition to Kirk’s conservative views, especially on transgender issue, point to a left-wing political assassination driven by antifascist and LGBTQ-related grievances.

The timing of the shooting was also strangely coincidental. Just moments before the attack, an audience member asked Kirk about transgender mass shooters: “Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?” They followed up with, “Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last 10 years?” Kirk replied, “Counting or not counting gang violence?” Moments later, he was assassinated.

Another odd detail centers on Robinson’s transgender roommate and partner. After the shooting, Robinson reportedly sent messages about hiding the weapon or retrieving it from a drop point. Investigators say the partner has been “extremely cooperative,” turning over messages that described leaving a rifle in a bush wrapped in a towel and watching the area where it was left.

FBI officials confirmed that “text messages and other communications between Robinson and his partner helped agents zero in on Robinson.” The partner has insisted they had “no idea” about the assassination plot and was “aghast” at the killing.

The FBI seized evidence from their shared apartment, including computers now being analyzed at Quantico. While sources told Axios that “it’s pretty clear that Robinson’s roommate knew a lot and didn’t say anything after the killing,” authorities have not named the partner as a suspect and continue to describe them as cooperative.

Separately, The Sun reported that agents are reviewing doorbell footage allegedly showing Robinson on the phone “moments after it went down,” discussing explicit details of the shooting with an unidentified person.

This has raised questions about whether Robinson had an accomplice or someone who knew of the crime but stayed silent. Officials initially said they believed he acted alone but emphasized they are “not leaving out any avenues.”

Robinson had become more political in recent years, openly criticizing Kirk, and authorities recovered bullet shells engraved with antifascist slogans. His grandmother told the Daily Mail that the family is Republican.

At the press conference announcing his arrest, the FBI declared, “We got him.” Director Kash Patel added, “To my friend Charlie Kirk. Rest now brother. We have the watch and I’ll see you in Valhalla.”

Although the evidence suggests the roommate may have known about Robinson’s efforts to conceal the gun after the crime, investigators have so far maintained that Robinson “acted alone” in carrying out the assassination.

Feds in Salt Lake City, Utah, arrested suspects 58-year-old Adeeb Nasir and 31-year-old Adil Justice Ahme Nasir for attempting to destroy a news media vehicle with an “incendiary device” last Friday.

On Friday, just two days after Charlie Kirk was assassinated during an event at Utah Valley University, Salt Lake City Police Bomb Squad and the fire authority responded to reports of a suspicious device spotted under a news vehicle.

According to reports, the FBI Salt Lake City Office traced the incendiary device to a residence located on the 2700 South block of 8500 West.

The two suspects were arrested on Saturday on two counts of weapon of mass destruction – manufacture/possess/sell/use, a first-degree felony; attempted aggravated arson, a first-degree felony; four counts of explosive/chemical/incendiary – possessing parts, second and third-degree felonies; and two counts of threat of terrorism – use of weapon/hoax mass destruction, a second-degree felony.

KUTV reported:

Two men have been taken into custody after an operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies in a Magna neighborhood.

One of the suspects were identified as 58-year-old Adeeb Nasir and 31-year-old Adil Justice Ahme Nasir.

According to a probable cause statement, bomb squads from the Salt Lake City Police Department and Unified Fire Authority responded to reports of a suspicious device.

They determined it was a real incendiary device and had been placed under a news media vehicle.

The device “had been lit but failed to function as designed,” according to court records.

Officials said the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was called in to lead the investigation. They identified two suspects who had a Magna address.

In a significant victory for fiscal conservatives and animal welfare advocates, the House Appropriations Committee has unanimously passed an amendment to the FY26 NIH spending bill that would prohibit the use of taxpayer dollars for bizarre and controversial “transgender” experiments on animals.

The amendment, which was added to the spending bill, states explicitly:

“Sec. ___. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used for research on vertebrate animals for the purpose of studying the effects of drugs, surgery, or other interventions to alter the human body (including by disrupting the body’s development, inhibiting its natural functions, or modifying its appearance) to no longer correspond to its biological sex.”

The amendment was first proposed by Rep. Paul Gosar in May, who was working with White Coat Waste Project, a watchdog group focused on ending wasteful taxpayer-funded animal experimentation.

The full FY26 NIH spending bill advanced out of committee and now heads to the full House for a vote. If approved by Congress and signed into law, this provision would permanently bar NIH-funded labs from using tax dollars on such experiments, ensuring no repeat of the disturbing practices uncovered earlier this year.

Kennedy Jr. confirmed that the specific transgender monkey grant was terminated in 2022 and stated that HHS is "working ferociously to end all non-human primate studies except in cases that are vital to saving human life, and for which no other option exists."

However, other related grants remained active, prompting Republican lawmakers, such as Reps. Nancy Mace, Lauren Boebert, and others to push for broader defunding through legislation such as the TRANS MICE Act.
