In 2023, the Des Moines School Board appointed Ian Andre Roberts as Superintendent of Schools, handing him one of the most lucrative contracts in Iowa public education. 

His base salary started at $270,000. That alone should raise eyebrows in a state where teachers regularly earn less than $50,000 a year. 

But what makes this case even more alarming is the fact that Roberts was an illegal immigrant with a criminal record when he was hired.

Roberts entered the United States legally but overstayed his visa. 

By May 2024, he had received a final deportation order, yet he remained in charge of the entire Des Moines Public School District. 

Worse still, when the board voted to hire him, they were already aware that Roberts had faced a weapons charge in 2020. 

Despite these red flags, the school board proceeded with the appointment, prioritizing political connections and appearances over community safety and integrity.

The arrangement was not only reckless—it was expensive. According to the Des Moines Register, Roberts’ contract went far beyond a six-figure base salary. 

Taxpayers were also on the hook for a payment to a “tax-sheltered annuity” equal to 14% of his annual pay. That comes out to nearly $38,000 per year.

Add in a $600 monthly car allowance and reimbursements for “all in-district related travel,” and Roberts’ total compensation package soared well above $300,000 annually.

The school board defended Roberts’ credentials, touting his academic background. 

He claimed to hold a Doctorate in Urban Education Leadership from St. John’s University. Yet a quick look at St. John’s own website shows no such degree exists. 

At best, the claim is misleading; at worst, it suggests Roberts embellished his resume while being considered for one of the most powerful education jobs in the state.

At the center of this scandal is Jackie Norris, the Board Chair who oversaw Roberts’ appointment. 

Norris is no ordinary school official. She is a longtime Democrat who previously served as Chief of Staff to First Lady Michelle Obama. 

Her resume includes time as CEO of Goodwill of Central Iowa and leadership roles at Points of Light, a global nonprofit.

Today she runs a consulting business, the Horizon Group. 

With those political connections and a national profile, Norris’ influence helped pave the way for Roberts to secure the superintendent job despite glaring concerns.

This is more than just a bad hire. It exposes the extent to which political favoritism and negligence can jeopardize local schools. 

At a time when public trust in institutions is already fragile, the Des Moines School Board’s decision to put an illegal immigrant with a weapons charge in charge of taxpayer dollars and children’s education is indefensible.

War Room’s Steve Bannon discussed housing costs and high electricity bills as a major reason for a potential flipping of blue states to red. He shared his thoughts with real estate broker Sophia Georges who had great insight into the situation.

“The affordability crisis in housing and the electrical bills. Why is this race a dead heat right now in New Jersey?” Bannon asked.

“Affordability in housing. I saw it coming months ago. People who are suffering. We started seeing a decrease in the qualifications for them to afford a home. I was seeing more and more people in multi-generational households. I was seeing young adults just coming out of school with great-paying jobs, but still could not afford a home,” Georges said.

“I have a modest size home and I’m paying $900 a month in utility bills, and this is becoming unsustainable for families,” Georges said of people she talked to.

“People are now starting to really pay attention and I’m seeing it here as a microcosm in my town of what is happening in the state. That is like you said, translating into the statewide polls that we are seeing now,” Georges said.

“Republicans are gonna win cause there’s gonna come down to affordability on housing and the electrical bills. You were talking about the electrical bills when nobody else talked about it,” Bannon said.

Bannon had asked Georges how she had such a solid understanding of what is going on with voters. She explained that she knocks on people’s doors and has conversations with them about housing costs and property taxes, which gives her an idea of what the average homeowner thinks about the situation.

“What are you doing that it gives you the ground truth that this is where this New Jersey race is gonna come down to?” Bannon asked.

“I knock on everybody’s door Steve. I knock on Republicans, Independents, Democrats, and particularly when I knock on the Democrat’s doors, the first thing I say to them is, have you checked your property tax bills?” Georges said.

“I’m a lifelong Democrat. I voted Democrat, but this year I am not voting Democrat. And when I hear that, it was a lightbulb went off saying you know, it’s all gonna come down to affordability,” Georges said of people she spoke with.

“In New Jersey, they have seen a 70 percent increase in this budget,” Georges explained that it could be contributing to high property taxes.

“It’s a dead heat in New Jersey across the board,” Bannon said.

Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) issued a stunning and ominous warning on Saturday, saying that she is “not suicidal” and calling on Americans to demand answers if “foreign governments or powerful people” try to stop her from exposing the truth about the Jeffrey Epstein pedophile network and the political establishment that protected it.

Earlier this month, Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) vowed to publicly expose the names of the pedophiles, enablers, and conspirators involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring after victims deliver a list to lawmakers.

A group of victims, hosted by Greene, Massie, and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), broke decades of silence at a press conference, stepping forward to demand justice, transparency, and accountability from the government.

Rep. Massie filed a discharge petition to force a full House vote on the Epstein Transparency Act. This would force the Department of Justice to release almost all documents related to the Epstein investigation, with certain information redacted, including victims’ personal identifying information.

Greene took to X to make her position crystal clear on her support for the Massie–Epstein discharge petition, which calls for a full release of Epstein-related documents.

I stand with girls and women who are sexually abused and raped.

For me, it’s not about a pissing contest between political parties or political enemies.

The Epstein rape and pedophile network must be exposed.

Greene’s most alarming remarks came in a follow-up statement on her personal X account, where she openly suggested that powerful interests, even foreign governments, could attempt to silence her.

“I am not suicidal and one of the happiest healthiest people you will meet. I have full faith in God and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. As a sinner, I am only saved through His grace and mercy.

With that said, if something happens to me, I ask you all to find out which foreign government or powerful people would take heinous actions to stop the information from coming out. Although she did not specify which foreign government she was referring to, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has escalated her opposition to Israel.

She labeled the ongoing conflict in Gaza a “genocide” and accused pro-Israel lobbying groups of undue influence over American politics.

She also accused AIPAC of operating as a foreign agent without proper registration under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).

“AIPAC needs to register as a foreign lobbyist by U.S. law because they are representing the secular government of nuclear armed Israel 100%!!!” she posted on August 7, 2025.

AIPAC responded by slamming Greene’s comments as a “betrayal of American values” and a “dangerous distortion of the truth,” fundraising off her statements and labeling her part of an “anti-Israel Squad.”

It can be recalled that newly unsealed documents and testimonies point to potential connections between Epstein and Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett publicly called the allegations a “vicious wave of slander and lies,” asserting with “100 % certainty” that Epstein had no ties to Mossad or Israel, according to The Time.

“As a former Israeli Prime Minister, with the Mossad having reported directly to me, I say to you with 100% certainty: The accusation that Jeffrey Epstein somehow worked for Israel or the Mossad running a blackmail ring is categorically and totally false.

Jesse Kelly of “The First” had very important warnings regarding Democrats. He warned viewers to be very careful around Democrats and explained that their mindsets are aligned with terrorism. He said rightly that they are communists.

“Terrorism. Every single American knows about terrorism. And what do you think about when you think about terrorism? You think about jihadis, Islamic jihad,” Kelly said.

“It’s the first thing that pops into your head, but let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of it because we have an entirely different kind of terrorism going on right now, and it’s going to continue going on,” Kelly warned.

“Terrorism is simply as the name suggests, the use of terror to pursue political goals, or religious goals,” Kelly continued.

“Once you strip that humanity away from people, that’s what you do,” Kelly said of terrorists.

“Here in the United States of America, we have the Democrat party. They are communists. Their street animals are communists. Their street enforcers are communists,” Kelly said.

Kelly also explained that this is a long term plan of the Democrat party. The elitists in the party know that they have what he called a “rabid base” that is prone to violence. That base sees their rhetoric as marching orders to carry out terrorist actions.

“It’s going to be bad for the foreseeable future. Elite communists, I’m talking about Democrats in the media and Democrat politicians. They understand, have a rabid base willing to hurt people because they are a bunch of animals and demons and they give them orders,” Kelly warned.

“They program them no different than a jihadi is programmed. You know, die for Allah, die for Allah, die for Allah. Here is a suicide vest. Programmed, over and over and over and over and over again,” Kelly continued.

He also explained that the rhetoric is not aimed at the conservative, but is instead aimed at their base to get them to believe those lies so that they believe those things about Trump supporters and conservatives.

“They are not talking to you when they call you a Nazi. They are talking to the demons that make up the Democrat base. Your liberal aunt Peggy, she thinks you are a Nazi, she thinks Donald Trump is a Nazi, a Russian agent. But beyond her, that’s the basic Democrat. That’s the normal Democrat,” Kelly explained.

“Now let’s go to the internet, where terrorist cells meet. Not just jihadi terrorist cells. Where these communist terror cells meet. They communicate with each other. They talk about killing people,” Kelly warned.

“These people have been programmed to believe they are fighting against Nazis. And Democrats give them orders and they interpret those things as orders because that is what they are. And they march out, and they hurt people,” Kelly said.

Kelly cited Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal from Washington State as an example of a politician who uses rhetoric to incite left-wing communist violence. Kelly rightly explained that a communist on the internet would interpret this as a marching order.

“She talks about risk tolerance. We have to figure out what our risk tolerance is as things get more dire, then we have to have more risk tolerance,” Kelly commenting on Jayapal’s statements in an interview.

“They have already killed, and they are going to kill again. And I’m sorry, I know that is hard to hear, but they are going to keep killing people. We can win this fight, but we better understand that’s what we are dealing with and why we are dealing with it,” Kelly said.

“They know what their rhetoric does. They are not going to tone it down because they want this to happen,” Kelly said of Democrat politicians.

A 23-year-old who allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend to “prove his love” to another will remain in custody while awaiting trial, according to state officials in Peoria, Illinois, on Monday.

Jaquon Timothy was arrested Sept. 18 and charged with aggravated battery with a firearm; he had reportedly shot his former lover in the feet, according to a news release from the office of the Peoria County State’s Attorney.

It “was allegedly carried out as a way to prove his love to his new girlfriend,” the release said.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on July 19, when police responded to a shooting alert in South Peoria.

When they arrived, they found a woman with bullet wounds in each foot, according to WMBD-TV in Illinois.

She was reportedly taken to the hospital with non-mortal injuries.

A man allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend in a twisted display of affection to “prove his love to his new girlfriend.”

Police later spoke with Timothy’s current girlfriend.

“Timothy had told her before the shooting that he would shoot his ex-girlfriend. She further noted that after the shooting, Timothy told her he had carried it out,” the news release read.

Police executed a search warrant on Timothy’s phone and found the text message in which he claimed ownership of the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing, but if convicted, Timothy faces up to 30 years in prison.

While nobody died in this incident, another recent love triangle shooting in Philadelphia was fatal for the one being shot, according to WTXF-TV in Pennsylvania.

It was around 1:00 a.m. on May 30 when police responded to a call about a shooting.

After rolling up, police found three spent casings and observed that the sidewalk was bloody.

They also learned that a 26-year-old male with three bullet wounds had arrived at a nearby hospital for emergency surgery.

He died around 2:30 a.m.

The Philadelphia Police Department called the incident a “love triangle” shooting.

“It appears that the 24-year-old who committed this shooting is the new boyfriend and he shot the former boyfriend who is 26 years of age,” Chief Inspector Scott Small said, according to WCAU-TV in Philadelphia.
