House Speaker Mike Johnson erupted in frustration Thursday after learning that Democrat-led states filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for attempting to determine how many illegal aliens are receiving taxpayer-funded welfare benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
At a press conference alongside USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins, Johnson blasted Senate Democrats for prioritizing “political theater” over feeding American families as the government shutdown stretched into its 31st day.
“They sued the USDA for asking them, simply asking them to tell them how many illegal aliens are on the programs in California, New York, and these other states,” Johnson fumed.
“They sued them. You need to take account of what people are doing here in each party, the leaders and the President of the United States.”
Johnson accused Democrats of voting 14 times to block a clean continuing resolution that would reopen the government and restore funding to SNAP, which expired earlier this week.
He said Democrats have “manufactured a crisis” in order to weaponize the shutdown for political gain while millions of Americans struggle to afford groceries.
“We are trying to get government to work more efficiently and effectively for the people, and we are getting stopped and hindered by political games by Democrats. That’s why we’re so frustrated.”

The lawsuit, spearheaded by Maine’s Democrat governor and joined by 24 other blue states, accuses the USDA of unlawfully suspending SNAP benefits during the shutdown.
In the lawsuit are the attorneys general of Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin. The governors of Kansas, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania are also part of the lawsuit, according to WMTV.
The coalition argues that the USDA has access to billions in contingency funds and should use them to continue the program without congressional approval.
However, USDA officials say that the law requires congressional authorization to tap those funds and that Democrats’ refusal to pass a clean funding bill is to blame for the lapse.
“Senate Democrats have now voted 13 times to not fund the food stamp program, also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Bottom line, the well has run dry. At this time, there will be no benefits issued November 01,” a notice reads on the USDA website.
“We are approaching an inflection point for Senate Democrats. They can continue to hold out for healthcare for illegal aliens and gender mutilation procedures or reopen the government so mothers, babies, and the most vulnerable among us can receive critical nutrition assistance.”
On Friday, U.S. District Judge John McConnell, an Obama appointee, ordered the administration to use emergency funds to temporarily restore SNAP payments, effectively overriding USDA discretion.
The Trump Administration has made the decision to attack military installations inside Venezuela and the strikes could come at any moment, sources with knowledge of the situation told the Miami Herald, as the U.S. prepares to initiate the next stage of its campaign against the Soles drug cartel.
The planned attacks, also reported by the Wall Street Journal, will seek to destroy military installations used by the drug-trafficking organization the U.S. says is headed by Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro and run by top members of his regime.
Sources told the Herald that the targets — which could be struck by air in a matter of days or even hours — also aim to decapitate the cartel’s hierarchy. U.S. officials believe the cartel exports around 500 tons of cocaine yearly, split between Europe and the United States. While sources declined to say whether Maduro himself is a target, one of them said his time is running out.
“Maduro is about to find himself trapped and might soon discover that he cannot flee the country even if he decided to,” the source said. “What’s worse for him, there is now more than one general willing to capture and hand him over, fully aware that one thing is to talk about death, and another to see it coming.”
However, The New York Post on Friday reported Trump has still yet to make a decision when it comes to conducting land strikes on Venezuela.
Earlier in the month, Trump revealed he has not ruled out land strikes on Venezuela.
Update: The White House responded: “Unnamed sources don’t know what they’re talking about,” White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said in a Friday statement to Fox News. “Any announcements regarding Venezuela policy would come directly from the President.”

The “Pipe Bomb Mystery” That Never Added Up
Rep. Loudermilk revealed that the FBI’s own lab report confirmed there were explosives in the devices found near the RNC and DNC — but the story of when and how those devices were planted keeps changing.
According to Loudermilk, Secret Service bomb-sniffing dogs swept the DNC grounds the morning of January 6 — the day after the FBI claims a bomb was planted — and the dogs did not detect any device.

“Either it was inert — which according to the FBI it wasn’t, it had explosives in it — or it wasn’t there,” Loudermilk said. “But we have video of it being placed, so now we need to know — was it placed and picked back up and then put back out again? If so, why? Why did they go to that extent?”
Even more suspicious: a witness who lives near the RNC told investigators the second device wasn’t there earlier that day — contradicting the FBI’s timeline that both bombs were planted the night before.
“So now we have to look at, were they placed, picked back up again, and placed again,” said Loudermilk. “Why would you do that? Why would you risk getting caught and exposing yourself more?”
“None of this makes logical sense,” he emphasized. “And so this is the challenge — it opens more avenues for questions, but at least gives us a lead to try to figure out what was going on here.”

The Egg Timer Mystery
Perhaps the strangest clue is “the pipe bomb egg timer mystery.”
When the RNC pipe bomb was found, the attached kitchen timer still showed roughly 20 minutes remaining before detonation. The type of timer used can only run for 60 minutes, meaning it would have to be set no earlier than 40 minutes before discovery — long after the FBI says the device was planted the night before.

“So let’s go from the theory that they were put out the night before because we do have video of this person at the RNC and DNC and them placing the device under the bench on the fifth with having egg timers,” Loudermilk explained. “If you place them there, you would have to come back at least 40 minutes before the one was found at the RNC and set the egg timers. Why would you then place them the night before if you had to go back? None of this makes logical sense.”

Key Surveillance Footage “Disappeared”
Loudermilk confirmed that when the FBI arrived on January 6, agents requested all security footage from both the RNC and DNC — but much of that footage no longer exists.
“When the FBI showed up in the afternoon or evening of January 6 to start their investigation, they went and requested from the RNC their security camera footage for the evening of the 5th and the 6th… went to the DNC and requested the same thing,” he said. “None of those videotapes exist, except for some small snippets that they used in their TV production hearings.”
He added that Pelosi’s January 6 Committee videotaped every transcribed interview and deposition — over a thousand people — and then wiped all of it.
“The documents that the Select Committee didn’t keep were those that didn’t support the predetermined narrative,” Loudermilk said. “It was significant. But there’s still some that we haven’t recovered, and the most significant is the videotaped interviews. None of those videotapes exist, except for some small snippets.”
They destroyed the evidence and got autopen pardons.

Missing FBI Data and the “Corrupted” AT&T Server
The Congressman also detailed the mystery of the missing cell phone data that could have identified the pipe bomber. The FBI sent preservation letters to every carrier, but the critical subset of AT&T data from the bomb sites was allegedly “corrupted.”
“AT&T went to download the data a few hours before it was supposed to be deleted to preserve it, but because it was so much data in such a short time, it corrupted the data and corrupted the server and the data was gone forever,” Loudermilk said. “I spent 20 years in the IT business. That didn’t pass the smell test to me because you do backups upon backups of data.”
He added that the FBI has said the pipe bomber’s identity may have been in that lost phone data.
“Now the FBI is saying basically we can’t identify the pipe bomber because we’re pretty certain that the identity is in the cell phone data there — but now that data doesn’t exist,” he said. “So we’re looking into more broadly what happened to the data, does it exist, and can we get it?”

The Woman Who Found the Bomb
Adding to the coincidence, the woman (Karlin Younger) who found the RNC pipe bomb had previously worked for FirstNet — a federal data agency operated in partnership with AT&T, the same company whose servers were later ‘corrupted.’”
Castronuova reacted in the moment:
“I’m sorry. When I heard that, I was shocked,” Castronuova said. “That’s a bit of a coincidence.”
The woman who found the Pipe Bomb worked for the company FirstNet. AT&T operates the FirstNet public-safety network under federal contract.
Pelosi’s Unhinged Reaction
Castronuova also brought up Lindell TV’s viral moment with Nancy Pelosi, who recently lashed out at reporter Allison Steinberg when asked about her role in blocking Trump’s National Guard authorization before January 6.
“Her reaction to that was vicious,” Loudermilk said. “That tells me that’s where we need to be looking.”

Loudermilk reminded viewers that President Trump ordered the National Guard to be ready on January 3 — three days before the riot — but Pelosi’s office denied multiple requests from Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund until violence had already broken out.
“Donald Trump ordered the National Guard to be ready to be deployed on January 6th,” Loudermilk said. “He made multiple requests starting on January 4th all the way up during the day of January 6th, and all of those requests were denied until shots were fired in the Capitol.”

“This Was a Cover-Up — Not an Investigation”
Loudermilk said the original Pelosi-led Select Committee buried evidence, destroyed records, and weaponized the investigation against political opponents.
“They accused her attorney, Stefan Pascentino, of telling her to lie,” he explained. “The only reason I knew that these videotapes existed — he called me early on and said, ‘Can I just come and look at those videotapes?’ Because that will exonerate everything they’re saying about me. And that’s when we found out not only did that tape not exist, but none of the tapes existed. Stefan has been totally exonerated by both the Georgia Bar and the DC Bar.”
Castronuova added that some January 6 defendants received letters from Pelosi’s Committee before sentencing, hinting that they could testify to receive leniency — a practice she called “unbelievable and unethical.”
“It’s clear the original Committee wasn’t seeking truth,” she said. “They were building a political weapon.”

Glass Houses: 2028 Presidential-Hopeful Gavin Newsom Tied to Secretive Billion Dollar Taxpayer-Funded Expansion of California State Capitol

The White House East Wing is currently undergoing a major facelift as President Trump’s July 2025 proposal to build a ballroom began earlier this month. The addition is expected to hold approximately 1,000 guests in the proposed 90,000 square-foot facility.
The new structure has met fierce scrutiny from the Mockingbird media and political opponents of President Trump given the timing of the development during a federal shutdown. Democrats in the Senate continue to withhold the necessary votes to pass yet another continuing resolution.
Meanwhile, the entirety of the $200-300 million project being funded not by the taxpayer but rather by donors and the President himself.
Failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who slid into that “nomination” without receiving a single Democrat vote in the primary, invoked starving babies in a vulgar rant on the Jon Stewart podcast when comparing it to Trump’s construction project.
Again: the continuing resolution is being held up by Democrats in the Senate, not Republicans. President Trump has no legal authority until the bill reaches the Resolute Desk.

Another vocal critic, and a potential 2028 presidential hopeful, is California Governor Gavin Newsom. As far back as August, Newsom has criticized President Trump as living “in his own make-believe world,” saying “he’s too busy daydreaming about his $200M gold-plated ballroom”.
Earlier this week, Newsom posted on X that President Trump is building “his knock-off Versailles on White House grounds” while “his government shutdown is depriving millions of Californians” from food assistance. To date, a budget bill has not reached his desk as Democrats have continued to thwart passage in the Republican-controlled House and Senate.
Newsom, however, has his own problems with renovations and exorbitant costs in California’s state capitol. These issues, in fact, are funded by the taxpayers of California, in contrast to the “knock-off Versailles” funding at the White House.
As reported by KCRA 3’s Ashley Zavala, the California Capitol Annex project is coming under tremendous scrutiny in the Golden State. The years-long project that is estimated to cost taxpayers $1.1 billion has been less than transparent. In fact, according to Zavala, it has been “at least three years” since the California Legislature has provided any updates on the Capitol’s additions.
This week during a press conference, Newsom promised to “add a topic [to the] next conversation” with legislatures “around the annex.” Newsom proceeded to apologize for the lack of transparency from the Legislature and claimed he “didn’t know they weren’t talking” about the project.
During the off-topic question, Newsom called the White House construction a “desecration” and said the funding came under “curious circumstances” while claiming he had no knowledge of the lack of transparency regarding the annex project.
But Zavala had previously uncovered the creation of a three-member executive committee that meets “behind closed doors” to make decisions on the project. One member is directly tied to Newsom’s administration.

Documents provided to KCRA 3 show Newsom’s director of operations has been part of a three-member executive committee that is expected to meet regularly and vote on final decisions about the project behind closed doors. The committee includes Newsom’s current Director of Operations Miroslava de la O, Democratic Assemblymember Blanca Pacheco and Democratic State Sen. John Laird.
A 2018 memorandum of understanding between the Legislature and governor’s office established the committee to ensure the legislature keeps the governor’s office in the loop on the project. While the legislature’s Joint Rules Committee does the bulk of the decision making, the agreement lays out ways in which the governor’s office is involved. The memo includes the expectations for the committee, stating it should meet as needed, with a monthly standing meeting that can be “more frequent or cancelled as necessary.”
The memo also states major changes to project scope, schedules, budgets and delivery methods made by the committee shall be subject to a majority vote. The memo has allowed everything the committee does to be kept confidential. The agreement was established before Newsom took office.
All three members of the committee have signed nondisclosure agreements that the Legislature has required since 2018 from people involved in the project in order to keep broad information about it confidential, which KCRA 3 first reported last fall. With the NDAs in place, the project price tag swelled from $558.2 million to more than $1 billion.
A federal judge in Rhode Island on Friday blocked the Trump administration from ceasing to pay SNAP benefits that help feed 42 million Americans during the U.S. government shutdown.
The oral ruling by Judge Jack McConnell came a day before the administration was set to cut off that food stamp assistance.
A Justice Department lawyer argued during a hearing that the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program did not exist anymore because there were no congressionally appropriated funds for it as a result of the shutdown.
The lawyer, Tyler Becker, also argued it was the administration’s discretion whether to use $6 billion in contingency funds already set aside by Congress to continue issuing SNAP benefits.
McConnell, in his ruling granting a temporary restraining order to plaintiffs who sued to maintain the benefits, told the administration to use those funds to maintain at least some of the SNAP benefits normally paid.
