Some European countries are still pushing back against leftist-Globalist agendas.

Swiss voters responded with a resounding no to some woke propositions in a decisive vote.

They rejected a ‘mandatory national service’ for women, and also rejected a new ‘green’ inheritance tax that would raise money for the usual racket: mitigate ‘climate change’.

Associated Press reported:

“In a referendum, over 84% of voters rejected the ‘citizen service initiative’ and none of the country’s 26 cantons, or states, came anywhere near voting in favor. Proposals need a majority of both voters and cantons to pass.

A separate proposal to impose a new national tax on individual donations or inheritances of more than 50 million francs ($62 million) was shot down by more than 78% of voters. The revenues were to be used to fight the impact of climate change and help Switzerland meet its ambitions to have net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.”

The inheritance tax initiative was also turned down, as 78.3% of voters said “no.”

The national service was opposed for its high-cost, and a concern that it would hurt the economy by pulling young people out of the workforce.

“The proposal came at a time when other European countries are finding ways to bolster their armed forces in the face of growing concerns about Russia’s potential threat beyond the war in Ukraine.

Young men in neutral Switzerland are already required to carry out military service or join civil protection teams. Conscientious objectors can do other types of service, and those who opt out entirely must pay an exemption fee. Each year, about 35,000 men take part in mandatory service.”

Politico reported:

“The tax measure was a proposal to impose a 50 percent levy on inheritance above a tax-free amount of 50 million Swiss francs (€53.6 million) and direct the funds toward measures to mitigate climate change. It was put forward by the youth wing of the leftist Social Democrats.

[…] Both initiatives failed to garner wider political support from the Swiss government or other parties, and a poll 10 days before the vote predicted ballot-box defeats for both.”

This comes days after the Swiss approved ‘voluntary’ digital IDs.

This week’s episode of The Patriot Perspective, hosted by The Gateway Pundit’s Gregory Lyakhov and Ofer Adar, dug into the fast-moving Venezuela crisis with a guest who has spent nearly three decades inside America’s wars. 

Jay Furman, a retired Navy officer, Blackhawk pilot on the Texas border, former foreign area officer, and current Republican candidate for Texas’s 35th Congressional District, warned that Nicolás Maduro’s regime is no longer just a failed state. 

In his view, Venezuela has become an active launchpad for a hybrid war against the United States.

Furman began by explaining why President Donald Trump’s emergency air-closure over Venezuela and the visible U.S. naval presence in the Caribbean matter. 

He described the near-empty Venezuelan airspace as a classic step in “conditioning the battlefield”: clearing civilian traffic before any potential military action so that U.S. forces can target narco-trafficking hubs, terror-linked facilities, and regime assets without risking passenger aircraft. 

The no-fly order, he argued, functions as “a shot across the bow and a cocking of the hammer,” designed to show Maduro, Tehran, and their partners that Washington finally treats Venezuela as a real threat, not a distant humanitarian story.

According to Furman, Venezuela has transformed from a thriving democracy into a cartel narco-state disguised as a government. 

He described Maduro as an “illegitimate” head of state who relies on a Praetorian Guard and rigged elections to stay in power. 

Massive oil reserves and drug profits, he argued, fund a multi-pronged campaign pointed directly at the United States. 

Fentanyl and similar drugs, moved by sea, air, and across the southern border, amount in his view to “chemical-biological warfare” against American communities.

Furman tied that threat to a broader pattern of hybrid warfare: weaponized mass migration, narcotics, and election interference. 

He argued that systems pioneered under Hugo Chávez allowed Venezuelan-linked actors to refine the art of “election engineering” abroad and then use those tools inside the United States. 

Undermining confidence in elections, he warned, is as dangerous to the Republic as fentanyl is to individual Americans, because once faith in the ballot disappears, the entire Bill of Rights becomes meaningless in practice.

He went even further, describing Venezuela as “the Hezbollah of the South.”

In his assessment, the country has become a host for the Iranian terror network—Hezbollah, the Houthis, Hamas, and other proxies—who exploit ungoverned or cartel-governed spaces to stage operations in the Western Hemisphere. 

That network, he said, works hand-in-hand with Venezuela’s Cartel de los Soles to move drugs, launder money, and position sleeper cells that can exploit the porous border.

On the strategic picture, Furman noted reports that Russia is evacuating its citizens from Venezuela as a sign that adversaries take Trump’s threats seriously. 

He argued that the same firm posture that brought Iran “to heel” after the strike on Qassem Soleimani is now forcing Caracas, Moscow, and Tehran to reassess their risk.

Energy policy is another piece of the puzzle. 

Furman criticized the Biden administration for squandering the petrodollar framework with Gulf allies and contrasted that with Trump’s pressure approach. 

Rogue producers like Venezuela, he argued, destabilize markets by using their reserves and offshore fields, often developed with Russian help, as leverage against the West. 

Neutralizing the Maduro regime and breaking its partnership with Moscow and Tehran, he said, would ultimately stabilize global oil markets and undercut revenue for hostile regimes.

Looking ahead, Furman said Congress must be ready to authorize robust action if necessary—from covert operations inside Venezuela to expanded strikes on narco and terror infrastructure. 

However, he emphasized that any serious campaign must include a real post-Maduro plan so that Venezuela does not remain a permanent failed state on America’s doorstep.

Furman framed the stakes in simple terms: Venezuela is now an existential security problem in America’s own hemisphere. 

In his view, President Trump’s combination of “peace through strength,” clear red lines, and willingness to act gives the United States its best chance to break the narco-terror nexus in Caracas, secure the southern border, and restore stability for both Venezuelans and Americans.

Benny Johnson was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with guest host Jackie DeAngelis to discuss the special election in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional district between Republican Matt Van Epps and Democrat Aftyn Behn.

DeAngelis explained that the race is considered close at this point. President Donald Trump won the district by 22 points in the 2024 election.

“Let’s talk about this election specifically, but also in the wake of the elections we just saw,” DeAngelis said.

“Although this might not be the present that Republicans want under their tree right now, because I hate to paraphrase James Carville, but ‘it is the economy, stupid,’” Johnson said.

“Luckily, there is a whole year to turn this major ship around, and when you are talking about a 31 trillion-dollar ship, which is the American economy, it takes a while to turn it,” Johnson explained.

“We are seeing the effects of that in some special elections, Democrats are winning in dark blue cities, and in dark blue, left-wing states,” Johnson continued.

“This is a Trump plus 22 district in Tennessee. The Republican is a West Point graduate. He is an army veteran, war hero and a Tennessee commissioner. He should be winning easily,” Johnson said.

Johnson explained that Democrat Candidate Aftyn Behn supported the 2020 riots by celebrating the violence brought forth by BLM.

“The Democrat is somebody who is the AOC of the South. She celebrated the police headquarters getting attacked and burned during the BLM riots. She celebrated the defunding of the police. And she also hates Nashville,” Johnson continued.

“It really does beg the question, like, how far, how far can you go, when you are looking for a candidate that is at the very bottom of the barrel? She deserves to lose,” Johnson said.

DeAngelis brought up the point, explaining that even with a hateful person running for office, it was concerning that the race is relatively close.

“What you are talking about is an issue entirely other than affordability. It’s just like pure hatred being put out there. So, what is happening here that in some way that message is resonating and it’s a close race?” DeAngelis asked.

“I think that there is always going to be a natural sentiment against the ruling and leading party,” Johnson said.

President Trump on Sunday evening blasted Muslima Rep. Ilhan Omar in remarks to reporters aboard Air Force One.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump traveled from their Mar-a-Lago residence to the White House on Sunday evening after spending Thanksgiving in Florida.

Trump told reporters that Democrat rep Ilhan Omar should be thrown the hell out of the country after she reportedly married her brother to defraud immigration.

“She supposedly came into our country by marrying her brother!” Trump told reporters.

“Well, if that’s true, she shouldn’t be a congresswoman, and we should throw her the hell out of the country!” Trump added.

According to her limited bio on the far-left Wikipedia, Ilhan Omar divorced her second husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, in 2011.

Ilhan’s second husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, is her brother.

The two were legally married on February 12, 2009, and divorced in 2011.

Ilhan Omar was elected to be a state representative for District 60B on November 8, 2016, and took her oath on the Quran.

In 2017, several months after Omar’s marriage history briefly created a national news item, Omar quietly petitioned the family court for a default divorce, claiming she could not locate Elmi.

She was suspected of using campaign donations to pay for the divorce… from her brother.

Ilhan is currently married to her political consultant.

A massive pile-up occurred in Indiana as winter storms hit the Midwest over Thanksgiving weekend.

On Saturday, snowy conditions on Indiana’s I-70 led to a massive 45-vehicle pileup.

An Indiana State Police officer who responded to the scene surprisingly reported there were no serious injuries as a result of the pile-up.

Per The Weather Channel:

Icy road conditions led to a massive 45 car pileup on Interstate 70 on Saturday. The accident happened outside of Terre Haute, Indiana, somewhat near the border with Illinois. Remarkably, Indiana State Police public information officer Matt Ames reported that there were no major injuries in the pileup.

The Midwest has seen dramatic winter weather across the region this weekend. Lake-effect snow has buried areas in Ohio and Michigan. Winter Storm Bellamy has dropped close to a foot of snow in some parts of Iowa and Wisconsin.

Food writer Jed Portman was one of the many drivers caught in the massive pileup wreck in Indiana. As with the other drivers, he was uninjured, though his car was damaged.

“We were near the back of the pileup, where it wasn’t nearly as bad,” he said. As he approached the front of the wreck, while walking to speak with an officer, he said, “The very front was so much worse. There were families miraculously climbing out of cars that had been decimated.”

Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames reported from the scene of the pile up.

AccuWeather reports that early December will bring snowfall to Americans from Kansas all the way to Maine over the coming days.
