Nasry Asfura, new president of Honduras.

Honduras has a new, conservative president!

In Fact, the Central American country has had a newly elected president for months, while the leftwing forces that lost the election tried to derail the certification process, even resorting to violence, as we reported in SHOCK VIDEO: Leftist Thug Throws Explosive Device, Strikes Honduras Congresswoman Smack in the Head – Conservative Politician Suffers Serious Injuries.

But when the push came to shove, the armed forces made sure the winner was sworn in, as we predicted in As the Leftist Honduras Government Tries To Derail the Presidential Election, Top General Guarantees He Will Support and Recognize the Voting Results.

So, today (27), conservative politician and businessman Nasry Asfura, the candidate supported by the Donald J. Trump administration, has been sworn in as president of Honduras.

Watch:

Reuters reported:

“Asfura, 67, will serve a four-year term until January 2030. He has pledged to fight poverty, corruption and crime, and to revive the economy in one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere.

He also pledged to restore diplomatic relations with Taiwan, which were severed by outgoing President Xiomara Castro in 2023. Such a move would be a major diplomatic setback for China in Central America.”

Watch:

“A former mayor of Tegucigalpa from 2014 to 2022, Asfura [has been] inaugurated after months of electoral chaos in Honduras, fueled by a last-minute endorsement from U.S. President Donald Trump, a deeply troubled vote-counting process and a razor-thin victory of 26,000 votes over centrist candidate Salvador Nasralla.

[…] Still, Asfura enters office facing a delicate balancing act. While his party holds a simple majority, he will need the support of rival parties – including those that alleged voter fraud – in order to ratify international treaties or amend the constitution.”

Stacks of gold bars displayed in a vault, showcasing their gleaming surfaces and secure storage.

Last week, the U.S. Mint raised the price on many silver coins by nearly 90%—overnight.

A MASSIVE move that has many people asking questions about what’s going on…

Especially considering it came just DAYS after suspending all silver coin sales.

Could a similar phenomenon happen with gold? And at what price?

One thing’s for sure: The momentum gold and silver had in 2025 is FAR from over…

In fact, this year is shaping up to see EVEN BIGGER moves.

But while many are guessing on the best miners or scrambling to get their hands on physical metals… there’s actually a much better way to cash in on this huge trend today.

You don’t have to call a gold dealer or deal with storage or anything like that…

Best of all, right now you can get started with less than $50.

WATCH: Trump Tells Reporters He’s Going to Travel the Country for Midterm Rallies
January 27, 2026

President Trump on Tuesday confirmed to reporters that he plans to hold his famous campaign rallies as the 2026 midterm elections approach and Republican control of the House and Senate is in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, the Republicans in Congress are dragging their feet on passing legislation to codify President Trump’s agenda before a potential upset in November.

They haven’t even passed the basic common sense, and most favored by Republican voters, SAVE Act to mandate voter ID and proof of citizenship to vote!

Hopefully, the efforts of campaign volunteers and the millions of dollars in small donations aren’t robbed by election fraud.

While taking questions before delivering remarks in Iowa, Trump said he’s “going around” to rally voters to turn out in the midterms.

“I don’t understand it,” Trump said of the trend where the ruling party loses the midterms almost every time.

“With that being said, the polls look very good. Everything looks very good.”

WATCH:

Trump: I’m going around, and I’m going around because, hopefully, we win the midterms, and it’s very scary because, like, it’s two out of 50 years, or something like that. For some reason when a president wins Republican or Democrat, even if they’re a good president, and hopefully I’m a great president— based on the first yea I’m a great president. And we had a great first term, too. People don’t— we rebuilt our military, we had phenomenal financial numbers. But I think this term is blowing away, really, every term.

But traditionally, when a president gets elected, out of I think 50 years, they’ve had two that won. I don’t understand it. They’ve had two, so we have to— and one was by unusual circumstance. So, there’s something psychological.

If you win the president, and whether you’re Republican or Democrat, with that being said, the polls look very good. Everything looks very good. And you have great congressmen here, congressmen and women here. And we love Iowa. We love Iowa. And I think I just— didn’t I just give, didn’t I just give the farmers $12 billion, right?

President Trump is delivering remarks this afternoon in Clive, Iowa, to kick off his rally tour.

He is expected to deliver remarks on the economy and affordability at roughly 4 pm ET.

President Trump will deliver remarks on the economy this afternoon in Clive, Iowa, after visiting a local business.

“As President Donald J. Trump visits Iowa today, he returns to a state that is clearly winning again under his leadership — even as work remains to fully reverse the economic damage of the Biden years,” the White House said in a press release ahead of Trump’s visit.

“President Trump will not rest until every American is better off than ever before, yet meaningful relief is already reaching Iowans through sharply lower gas prices, robust economic growth, improving home affordability, tax savings, and policies that put working families first.”

The White House further highlighted the drop in gas and electricity prices, economic growth, and home affordability:

Iowans are clearly better off under President Trump and Republican leadership:

  • Iowa’s average gas price stands at $2.56 per gallon, with some stations even offering gas under $2 per gallon — down 46% from its record Biden-era high.
    • Midwestern gas prices remain at their lowest since early 2021.
  • Iowa’s economy is roaring ahead, with strong GDP growth outpacing the national average, fueled by agriculture, manufacturing, and smart policies.
  • The average Iowa family is saving $3,139 on taxes this year thanks to President Trump’s landmark Working Families Tax Cuts.
    • Iowans stand to see wages rise by up to $6,100 per person over the next several years.
    • 66,000 Iowa jobs will be protected in the coming years under these tax reforms.
    • Iowa is receiving an investment of more than $209 million in rural health care thanks to Republicans — strengthening communities across the state.
  • Home affordability is improving, with the median price of an Iowa home down 3.5% from last year — and trending lower.
  • Iowa ranks among the top 10 for the lowest average electricity prices nationwide, delivering reliable, affordable power to homes and businesses.
  • Iowa proudly remains the nation’s top producer of ethanol and biodiesel, benefiting from energy policies that support farmers and keep costs down.

The Trump Administration is also delivering for Iowa homeowners — putting vital tools to work after previous administrations ignored their potential. Over the past year:

  • Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have empowered over 22,000 Iowa families to purchase or refinance their homes.
  • The Trump Administration has delivered more than $5.3 billion in mortgages through Fannie and Freddie, directly supporting these 22,000 Iowan families in achieving or maintaining homeownership.
  • More than 55% of all first-time homebuyers in Iowa have relied on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac financing.
  • Nearly 3,000 Iowa families have received critical mortgage assistance from Fannie and Freddie to stay in their homes amid recovery from Biden-era challenges.
  • Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have invested nearly $11 million in Iowa to rehabilitate and repair post-foreclosure properties, making them ready for new buyers and boosting local neighborhoods.
  • In the Des Moines area — including around today’s rally site in Clive — Fannie Mae has helped nearly 3,700 families purchase or refinance homes, driving affordability right where Iowans live and work.

“The proof is in the results: Lower costs, rising wages, protected jobs, and renewed strength mean Iowa families are winning again under President Trump — and the best is yet to come,” the White House said.

During a press briefing on Monday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that Trump will visit a local business, speak about affordability, and meet with lawmakers.

WATCH:

Strong Republican leadership is delivering a brighter, more prosperous future, and today’s visit drives that message home loud and clear.”

The President is scheduled to speak at 3 PM CT.
