WHAT A SHAME: Stephen Colbert’s Ratings for January Crash to Record Low, Just Ahead of Show’s Discontinuation

Ratings for the Late Show with Stephen Colbert have hit a record low this month, just as the show is preparing to end its run for good. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
It’s amazing that anyone is still watching him at all. His act has become so stale and boring. Only a small group of hardcore Trump haters woud continue to tune in night after night, just to hear the same tired scolding that Colbert has been engaged in since 2016.
Colbert could have done a course correction years ago that might have even saved his show, but he was incapable of letting go of his Trump Derangement Syndrome. is there any wonder why the audience walked away?
Stephen Colbert Ratings Collapse to Record Lows as Late Show Nears Cancellation
The Stephen Colbert ratings freefall has reached an undeniable breaking point. As The Late Show with Stephen Colbert approaches its already-announced cancellation, the program is now posting record-low January numbers, marking one of the steepest late-night declines in recent television history.
According to Nielsen data reported this week, Colbert’s show is averaging roughly 285,000 viewers in the crucial 25–54 demographic, putting it on track for its worst January performance ever in the category that advertisers actually care about. With just months left before the curtain closes for good, the ratings trajectory suggests viewers have been checking out long before CBS formally pulled the plug.
While total viewership erosion has been gradual over the past several years, the collapse in the 25–54 demo tells the real story. Late-night television lives or dies by that number, and Colbert’s January performance places him firmly near the bottom of the competitive pack.
The show’s demo average now sits far below what the franchise once delivered during its peak years — and even trails where The Late Show performed during periods widely considered transitional or unstable. In practical terms, this means fewer ad dollars, weaker affiliate confidence, and little justification for long-term investment.
One of the other reasons for this is that Colbert’s guest list reads like the staff roster at the Democrat National Committee. Every night, he has on someone like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Gavin Newsom, etc.
People can get that kind of content on MSNOW or CNN. Why would anyone want to see it on late night TV? It’s so boring and tired.
Adam Carolla Slams Hollywood Liberals for Criticizing ICE: ‘Your Batting Average is Horrible, So Why Don’t You Just Shut up And Sit One Out’ (VIDEO)

Right leaning comedian and podcaster Adam Carolla appeared on the Jesse Watters show tonight and slammed liberal Hollywood celebrities for criticizing ICE.
Carolla pointed out that these folks have been repeatedly wrong in recent years. They were wrong on Russia collusion, COVID, the Hunter Biden laptop, and on and on.
You have to wonder why liberal celebrities feel the need to offer their opinion every time a new ‘current thing’ comes up. They would do themselves so much good by following Carolla’s advice here and just sitting it out.
Carolla is talking about people like actress Glenn Close:
Actress Glenn Close says “our democracy” is being “systematically disemboweled”
“I am outraged and sickened by what is happening under the Trump regime. The cruelty, inhumanity, and arrogance… and now, the cold-blooded murder of American citizens.” pic.twitter.com/9tCjPy5Gn2
Keith Ellison Outraged That Minnesota Not Being Included in Shooting Investigations After Refusing to Cooperate With Feds (VIDEO)
January 26, 2026
Screencap of YouTube video.
Keith Ellison is outraged that the State of Minnesota is not being included in the shooting investigations there by federal officials. This is rich, considering that one of the main reasons for all of this chaos, is that Minnesota has refused to work with federal officials in ICE.
In Ellison’s world, it’s fine for Minnesota to shut out the feds, but the feds aren’t allowed to do the same thing to the state.
He actually invokes the Constitution and talks about state sovereignty here. Where was the Democrat concern for state sovereignty when the Biden administration was shuffling millions of illegal aliens into the country?
MINNESOTA ATTORNEY GENERAL KEITH ELLISON: So let me just note that Superintendent Drew Evans of the BCA—another exemplary professional in our state—the BCA is the state’s investigative agency, and it is their job to investigate crime. They have a specialized unit to investigate use-of-force cases.
They arrived on site after the shooting and were refused access. They then secured a judicial warrant—a warrant signed by a judge—which has never been needed before, and were still refused access.
This is uncharted territory.
Now, friends, this comes at the tail end of other offenses, like a shooting in North Minneapolis and another homicide in South Minneapolis—Renee Nicole Good—where they also were denied access to the scene, and investigators are, to this moment, still being denied access to the investigative file.
This is not a rash decision for us to go to court and to seek a temporary restraining order from a judge to preserve evidence and prevent the destruction of evidence. I don’t care if you’re a conservative, liberal, or whatever, but you should at least be in favor of conserving evidence in a homicide.
And to have to go get an order from a judge to preserve that evidence is extraordinary and should alarm everyone who believes in equal justice under the law, and who believes that every person—no matter how this case ultimately is resolved—deserves to have their case investigated to get to the truth of what happened.
This is an extraordinary moment in an unprecedented time, and we’re doing all we can to step up to that moment…
The Tenth Amendment: we are entitled, as a state, to equal sovereignty, and we have been denied that. The federal government is literally commandeering and coercing the state of Minnesota to bend to its will, which is the prerogative of the people of the state of Minnesota.
See the video below:
Minnesota does not get to have it both ways. If they want cooperation from the federal government, maybe they should start cooperating with ICE.
Anti-ICE Agitator Picks Up Flashbang, Instantly Regrets It (VIDEO)

An anti-ICE agitator in Minneapolis picked up a flashbang and instantly regretted it.
Chaos erupted in Minneapolis this weekend after a border patrol agent fatally shot an armed man.
37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti of South Minneapolis appeared to resist arrest and attack federal law enforcement agents before he was fatally shot on Saturday morning.
Pretti was armed with a Sig Sauer P320 pistol and had two additional full magazines.
At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.
Alex Pretti reportedly did not notify law enforcement officers that he was armed.
All hell broke loose this weekend after the second fatal DHS-involved shooting in Minneapolis, and the Feds were forced to deploy non-lethal munitions as agitators surrounded their vehicles.
Agents deployed flashbangs and tear gas to push back on the violent protestors.
Video posted to X by Kim “Katie” USA showed a protestor picking up a flashbang and reportedly attempting to throw it back at the agents – but learned an instant lesson.
“Medic! Medic!” protestors shouted as the protestor fell to their knees.
WATCH:
The Department of Homeland Security is investigating whether Alex Pretti’s gun accidentally fired, which prompted law enforcement to use deadly force.
The DHS agents were reportedly wearing bodycams.
Footage posted to X appears to show the Sig Sauer P320 (known for malfunction issues) going off and possibly spooking federal agents.
Failing French President Macron Wants To Ban Under-15 Kids From Social Media – And He Wants It Done Fast (VIDEO)
January 26, 2026
Macron seems to be wondering: ‘Maybe if I ban children from social media, they will love me’.
France’s Emmanuel Macron is a ‘leader’ in the quest for a cause.
A failing lame-duck President polling in the 16-18% range, fresh from the historic low of 11% approval, he needs some issue that will help him back into the good graces of the French voters who don’t trust him, and believe he has been a failure as head of state.
Usually, Macron tries to find it in ‘global warming’, but that con is not working anymore – so he tried to be a ‘warrior leader’ meddling in Ukraine, and lately sent an astonishing 15 soldiers from the 27th Mountain Infantry Brigade to Greenland.
What a Napoleon, right?
Now, it appears that ‘Le Petit Roi’ has found a new cause that can make him appear in a positive light for part of the French society.
Macron is pushing his government to ban children under the age of 15 from social media and – what’s more – he wants to ‘fast-track the legal process’.
He means to ensure that the ban can enter into force in September, at the start of the next school year.
“In a video released late Saturday by French broadcaster BFM-TV, Macron said he had asked his government to initiate an accelerated procedure so that the proposed legislation can move as quickly as possible and be passed by the Senate in time.
‘The brains of our children and our teenagers are not for sale’, Macron said. ‘The emotions of our children and our teenagers are not for sale or to be manipulated. Neither by American platforms, nor by Chinese algorithms’.”

Emmanuel Macron has made his decision. Clear. Sharp. Surgical.
“We are banning social media for children under 15,” he declared, his voice grave and his posture paternal, as… pic.twitter.com/3FvdMqhRQ9
The Australian government led the charge on the ban, and after UK’s Keir Starmer said he would ‘consider’ also doing so, Macron came with his own announcement.
“According to France’s health watchdog, one in two teenagers spends between two and five hours a day on a smartphone. In a report published in December, it said that some 90% of children aged between 12 and 17 use smartphones daily to access the internet, with 58% of them using their devices for social networks.”
