In both a patriotic flex and savage burn, the White House went viral on Sunday for dropping a hilarious response to former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s defiant X post from a year ago.

The post came shortly after Team USA’s triumphant beatdown of Canada in men’s hockey at the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, Italy.

The original tweet from Trudeau, dated February 21, 2025, read, “You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game.”

The White House, now featuring a bio proclaiming, “The Golden Age of America Begins Right Now,” replied without words, simply sharing an image of a bald eagle gripping a Canada goose on the ice.

The post quickly gained traction, amassing over 117,000 likes and nearly 4 million views.

Replies ranged from patriotic cheers like “USA USA USA” to suggestions of framing the image in the Oval Office.

President Trump also celebrated the win over on Truth Social, writing multiple posts celebrating the victory.

“Congratulations to our great U.S.A. Ice Hockey team. THEY WON THE GOLD. WOW! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” the president wrote in the first post.

“WHAT A GAME!!! President DJT,” Trump wrote in a follow up.

In a third post, Trump added, “LOTS OF WINNING!!!”

Star forward Jack Hughes, who plays for the New Jersey Devils in the NHL, not only scored the game-winning goal but also delivered a heartfelt patriotic message following the epic triumph.

“This is all about our country right now. I love the USA. I love my teammates. It’s unbelievable. The U.S. are a hockey brotherhood. It’s so strong, and we had so much support from ex-players. I’m so proud to be American today,” Hughes told NBC.

Hughes continued, “Unreal game by our team. It’s just a ballsy, gutsy win. That’s American hockey right there. That’s a great Canadian team, but we’re the USA. We’re so proud to be American. Tonight was all for the country.”

Despite taking a brutal hit in the third period that left him bloodied and missing a few teeth, resulting in a penalty against Canada, Hughes powered through.

The moment quickly went viral on X, as his words stand in stark contrast to some athletes who have used international stages to protest or downplay national pride, reminding us of what true representation looks like.

Britain continues to reel over the ongoing release by the US DOJ of millions of documents regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Besides the ex-ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson, and disgraced former Prince Andrew, his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, is also watching her whole life crumble over her close relationship with the convicted sex offender.

And it was hard on Fergie, as news arose that she checked herself into the most expensive ‘wellness clinic’ in the world.

“​The former Duchess of York, 66, fled the UK as she and her ex-husband became embroiled in the growing Epstein scandal which culminated in his arrest on Thursday.

While Andrew was photographed repeatedly in Windsor and then on the Sandringham estate, Ms. Ferguson has not been seen in public since her fleeting appearance at her granddaughter Athena’s Christening at St James’s Palace on December 12.”

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced this weekend that all airport courtesy escorts, including those customarily provided to Members of Congress, have been suspended as the Democrat majority continues to hold Homeland Security funding hostage in the ongoing government shutdown.

The controversial shutdown, now entering its second week, stems from Democrats’ refusal to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) unless sweeping changes are made to immigration enforcement policies following earlier clashes over Border Patrol conduct and ICE procedures.

With DHS lacking full appropriations since Feb. 14, the agency has begun scaling back non-essential operations in order to redirect ever-dwindling funds to core missions.

Among those measures, TSA has halted courtesy and special-privilege escorts, the familiar security details that assist lawmakers and VIPs through airports, so that agents can be reassigned to what officials are calling “the mission of securing America’s skies.”

TSA wrote on X:

“At this time, TSA PreCheck remains operational with no change for the traveling public. As staffing constraints arise, TSA will evaluate on a case by case basis and adjust operations accordingly.

Courtesy escorts, such as those for Members of Congress, have been suspended to allow officers to focus on the mission of securing America’s skies.”

According to DHS, the suspension is a necessary reallocation of manpower and resources while the shutdown drags on.

After a week of being shutdown by Congressional Democrats, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced it must take emergency measures to preserve limited funds and personnel to mitigate the national security and public safety damage at the hands of Congressional Democrats.

The Democrats’ decision to put politics over public safety, for a third time this Congress, has forced the Department to direct its components to take the following measures effective at 6 AM ET, February 22, 2026:

  1. Halting all non-disaster-related Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) response efforts to prioritize disaster response;
  1. Ending Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry service;
  1. Suspending all courtesy and family police escorts at airports for Members of Congress, which is drawing staff away from the critical mission of getting passengers screened.

“This is the third time that Democrat politicians have shut down this department during the 119th Congress,” said Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. “Shutdowns have real world consequences, not just for the men and women of DHS and their families who go without a paycheck, but it endangers our national security. The American people depend on this department every day, and we are making tough but necessary workforce and resource decisions to mitigate the damage inflicted by these politicians. TSA and CBP are prioritizing the general traveling population at our airports and ports of entry and suspending courtesy and special privilege escorts. FEMA will halt all non-disaster related response to prioritize disasters. This is particularly important given this weekend another significant winter storm is forecast to impact the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast United States.”

A full list of measures being taken are below:

FEMA

FEMA has entered emergency operating status, and is scaling back to bare-minimum, life-saving operations only.  Effective 6:00 a.m. on February 22, FEMA will cease all non-essential activities and focus exclusively on immediate disaster response where there is an active threat to life, public health, or safety. As a result:

  • Public Assistance will not move forward for ongoing or legacy disasters. FEMA will only carry out Public Assistance activities for new or recent disasters requiring immediate emergency action to protect lives or prevent catastrophic damage.
  • All non-emergency recovery work is paused, including project formulation, long-term recovery efforts, planning, and administrative processing that does not address an imminent threat.
  • Non-disaster-related activities are halted so limited personnel and resources can be redirected to urgent response operations.
  • New initiatives, discretionary programs, pilot efforts, and policy development are suspended until funding is restored.
  • Travel, deployments, and operational support are restricted to those strictly necessary to respond to active disasters and life-safety emergencies.

These actions reflect the reality of operating without appropriations. FEMA cannot continue normal recovery operations under these conditions and must prioritize only its most critical, life-saving responsibilities. Full recovery and assistance operations will resume once funding is restored.

TSA

As the Transportation Security Administration enters emergency operating status, resources are being consolidated to prioritize essential security operations and focus personnel on detecting and countering threats.

  • Effective at 6:00 a.m. on February 22, nonessential privileges and courtesies provided by TSA will be suspended. All courtesy escorts, including for members of Congress, will cease. These escorts put increased strain on our officers, who must be allowed to prioritize their critical work of screening passengers.
  • At this time, TSA PreCheck remains operational with no change for the traveling public. As staffing constraints arise, TSA will evaluate on a case by case basis and adjust operations accordingly. Courtesy escorts, such as those for Members of Congress, have been suspended to allow officers to focus on the mission of securing America’s skies.

Until funding is restored, all travelers should expect a process that does not sacrifice security.

CBP 

As of 6:00 am on February 22, 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations will halt all Global Entry arrival processing at participating airports.

  • Officers assigned to process Global Entry travelers will be re-assigned to process all other arriving travelers.
  • U.S. citizens and lawful permanent resident Global Entry Members can proceed to the properly marked primary processing lanes for arriving U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. All other Global Entry members can proceed to the properly marked visitor lanes.

CBP will also be suspending requests for port courtesies for members of Congress at all ports of entry to include escorts and tours in order for personnel to be reassigned to essential border security operations.

Members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) stormed Guadalajara International Airport on Sunday in apparent retaliation for the death of their notorious leader, Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes.

The attack has led to widespread panic, with videos showing passengers and airport staff fleeing for cover amid reports of gunfire and armed confrontations.

The violence comes just hours after Mexican authorities confirmed El Mencho’s elimination in a targeted operation in Tapalpa, Jalisco, reportedly conducted with U.S. assistance.

Guadalajara is one of Mexico’s busiest airports.

Eyewitness videos captured scenes of terror.

One clip, shared by investigative journalist Laura Loomer on X, shows airport workers in high-visibility vests and passengers running from what appears to be an underground or tarmac area.

“After the US eliminated a top Cartel leader in Mexico today, Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) has retaliated by storming the Guadalajara Airport with armed gunmen. They are now taking American tourists hostage at nearby highways and hotels,” Loomer wrote.

Additional footage from the scene, including videos of people sprinting across the tarmac and seeking shelter, has flooded social media.

A post from OSINTdefender describes the attacks as occurring both outside and potentially inside the terminal, with heavy security responses underway.

The Jalisco state government has activated a “Código Rojo” (Red Code) alert, signaling a maximum security threat.

Reports indicate there are burned vehicles blocking roads, as well as attacks on pharmacies, convenience stores, and government buildings in Guadalajara’s metropolitan area.

In Puerto Vallarta, a popular tourist destination, explosions and smoke have been reported, with the cartel allegedly maintaining control over key hotel areas.

El Mencho was one of the world’s most wanted drug lords with a $10 million U.S. bounty on his head. The cartel, known for its paramilitary tactics including drone strikes and RPGs, has been designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. under the Kingpin Act.

This status allows American forces to treat CJNG members as combatants rather than criminals.

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs has issued a security alert for Jalisco State (including Puerto Vallarta, Chapala, and Guadalajara), Tamaulipas State (including Reynosa and other municipalities), areas of Michoacan State, Guerrero State, and Nuevo Leon State regarding ongoing operations and violence.

“Due to ongoing security operations and related road blockages and criminal activity, U.S. citizens in the named locations should shelter in place until further notice,” the alert stated.

The alert urges Americans in the affected areas to:

  • Avoid areas around law enforcement activity.
  • Be aware of your surroundings.
  • Seek shelter and minimize unnecessary movements
  • Monitor local media for updates.
  • Follow the directions of local authorities and in case of emergency, call 911.
  • Avoid crowds.
  • Keep family and friends advised of your location and well-being via phone, text, and social media.

A caller identifying himself as “John Barron” from Virginia dialed into CSPAN on Sunday to vent fury over the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

The call, which lasted just 32 seconds before being cut off, has sparked widespread speculation that the voice on the line was none other than Trump himself, as he infamously used the name “John Barron” as an alias in the 1980s and ’90s.

The Supreme Court ruled that Trump’s emergency tariffs on imported goods were unlawful, though he has already found a workaround by imposing a 15 percent tariff on all nations.

“John Barron,” introduced by CSPAN host Greta Brawner as a Republican caller, immediately launched into a tirade, calling the decision “the worst decision you ever have in your life, practically.”

The caller slammed House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries as “a dope!” and mocked Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, saying he “can’t cook a cheeseburger.”

The frustrated commentator added that “true Americans will not be happy” about the ruling, while Democrats celebrate.

Brawner quickly ended the call with a curt “All right, John.”

The caller’s distinctive New York accent, phrasing, and unfiltered rage immediately reminded listeners of Trump.

“John Barron” (sometimes spelled “Baron”) was a pseudonym Trump admitted to using decades ago to plant stories with journalists, posing as his own spokesman to hype his business deals and personal life.

Trump even testified under oath in 1990 that he had used the name on occasion.

Not everyone was convinced it was Trump. Many suggested it could be a prankster mimicking his voice. We are also in the age of AI, where nearly anything can be imitated with a few keywords and a push of a button.

Still, mainstream outlets like Mediaite amplified the clip, while avoiding any direct claim that it was really him.

Wikipedia’s entry on Trump’s pseudonyms was even quickly updated to include the call.

The White House has not yet commented on the viral call.
