Virginia Man Charged with Illegally Selling Firearm Used in Old Dominion University Terror Shooting — Feds Say Gun Had Obliterated Serial Number

The federal government has now charged a Virginia man accused of illegally supplying the firearm used in the horrific terror-linked shooting at Old Dominion University.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Old Dominion University was rocked by violence when Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, identified in prior reporting as a former National Guard member with a past terrorism conviction tied to ISIS (also known as ISIL), opened fire inside a classroom attended by Army ROTC students and active-duty service members.
Jalloh, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Sierra Leone, was sentenced to 11 years in prison on a terrorism charge in 2017. NBC News also reported that Mohammad Jalloh was recently released from prison.
According to federal authorities, one of the victims who died was Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, an active-duty U.S. service member assigned to the ODU Army ROTC unit, while two other victims were also shot before Jalloh was subdued and killed at the scene by ROTC students.
Now, according to the Justice Department and a newly filed federal affidavit, Kenya Mcchell Chapman, 32, of Smithfield, Virginia, has been charged by criminal complaint with dealing in firearms without a license and with three counts of making false statements during prior firearm purchases.
Federal prosecutors say Chapman illegally sold Jalloh the Glock .44-caliber firearm used in the March 12 shooting at ODU.
Investigators allege the firearm used in the shooting had a partially obliterated serial number and that Jalloh used the gun after confirming he was entering a class attended by ROTC students.
The affidavit also states that multiple witnesses reported hearing the target say “Allahu Akbar” shortly before the attack — language federal investigators note is associated with ISIS and used before acts of violence.
According to the report, Chapman was already known to law enforcement from an earlier ATF investigation involving straw purchases of multiple firearms in 2021.
Authorities say Chapman admitted during that earlier probe to straw purchasing three guns, yet he was apparently not prosecuted at that time.
Chapman admitted to selling the stolen gun to Mohamed Jalloh for $100 cash, and he even showed agents the $100 bill from the transaction.
According to court documents, Chapman initially told investigators he had found the gun in the woods, before admitting he had stolen it.
Federal investigators traced the alleged connection through phone records, surveillance, and location data. The affidavit states that Jalloh’s phone had repeated contact with a number associated with Chapman in the days leading up to the shooting.
Investigators also say Chapman was observed at his Smithfield residence on the night before the attack, and that Jalloh’s phone location data placed him traveling between ODU and the Smithfield area in the relevant time period.
The charging documents further allege that after the shooting, a search of Chapman’s residence uncovered .22 caliber ammunition consistent with the firearm used at ODU.
The affidavit says Chapman ultimately admitted to FBI and ATF agents that he sold Jalloh the gun and that Jalloh had asked for a weapon for “protection as a delivery driver.”
Chapman allegedly denied knowing Jalloh intended to carry out the attack and said he did not know Jalloh was a convicted felon.

Cuba Rising: Angry Residents Storm Communist Headquarters in Morón, Burn Regime Furniture and Propaganda

Cuba’s long-simmering anger toward its communist rulers exploded into flames Friday night as furious residents of the town of Morón reportedly set fire to a local headquarters of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Videos circulating on social media show crowds gathering outside the party building in Morón, a municipality in the province of Ciego de Ávila, where protesters reportedly ripped out furniture and propaganda materials before piling them into the street and setting them on fire, CiberCuba reported.
“The people of Morón set fire to the headquarters of the Communist Party, a symbol of the oppression from 67 years of the Castro family’s dictatorship,” wrote Cuban journalist Mario J. Pentón.
Tensions escalated dramatically when protesters gathered outside the Communist Party building. Demonstrators allegedly entered the headquarters, removed political materials and furniture, and built a large bonfire in the street before flames spread toward the building itself.

The situation reportedly turned violent when a police officer allegedly fired a weapon during the confrontation.
Pentón wrote, “This video is chilling: a young man wrapped in the Cuban flag burning down the Communist Party building, a symbol of the tyranny that has oppressed #Cuba for 67 years. Shortly afterward, henchmen in the service of the tyranny shoot one of these young men.”

“This is how the repressive forces arrived in Morón. There is at least one injured person, according to the testimonies I received from the scene before they cut off the internet connection,” Pentón wrote.

Pentón added, “10 black berets (special services for repression) beat a boy nearly to death,” a neighbor in Morón, Ciego de Ávila, tells me. A crowd set fire to the Communist Party headquarters, a symbol of tyranny.”
A resident from Morón gave update to Pentón, saying, “I’m writing to you from Morón, in Ciego de Ávila. Look at how they’re repressing the people just for demanding freedom. The regime’s forces went down the entire avenue firing shots. Right now, there are several people detained and others injured.”

The dramatic scenes quickly drew a reaction from U.S. RINO Congressman Carlos A. Giménez (R-FL), who represents a large Cuban exile community in South Florida.
Gimenez wrote on X:
“The people of #Cuba have just set fire to the Communist Party’s Headquarters in the eastern town of #Morón.
The Cuban people have had enough of the brutal dictatorship!”
Gimenez, who was born in Havana and later fled communist Cuba with his family, has long been a vocal critic of the regime in Havana.
Activists and residents on social media reported that the uprising has now entered its eighth consecutive night of protests, with the movement spreading beyond Morón.
Agustín Antonetti wrote on X, “This is exciting. Freedom is starting to be felt in Cuba. Eighth consecutive night of protests, but it’s already beginning to be massive. The entire town of Ciego de Ávila is in the streets. The people united against the dictatorship. Let the whole world see these images.”

The Communist Party has ruled Cuba since the 1959 revolution led by Fidel Castro, followed by decades of leadership by the Castro family and their political allies.
The uprising comes at a moment of intense geopolitical pressure on the Cuban government.
President Donald Trump and Marco Rubio are currently involved in negotiations with Cuban officials as the regime struggles to survive its worsening economic collapse.
Trump recently said Cuba is seeking a deal with the United States and suggested that an agreement could be reached quickly as the island’s leadership faces mounting pressure.

Trump Goes After “Maggot Hagerman” from the NYT — Threatens to Add Her to His Defamation Lawsuit against the NY Times

President Trump unloaded on New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman (Maggot Hagerman) on Friday in a post on Truth Social after “Maggot” and Kaitlan Collins attacked President Trump over high gas prices since the war was launched against the Iranian regime.
What the two liberal reporters don’t tell you is that gas prices today are lower than when Joe Biden declared war on the American people after his stolen election.
Gas prices during the Biden years went as high as $5 per gallon in the US.
Trump brought gas prices down until the war with Iran was launched.
And gas prices today are at $3.66 per gallon. This is lower than during the Biden years.
Maybe that’s why President Trump does not care for Maggie Haberman.
