Every single Minnesota House Democrat voted against a bill that would have required age verification on pornographic websites to protect children from watching or accessing explicit online content.

The vote on House File 1434 ended in a 67-67 tie on Thursday, with all 67 Republicans supporting the measure and all 67 Democrats opposing it.

The tie killed the bill.

The legislation would have mandated that commercial websites where 25 percent or more of the content consists of material harmful to minors verify that users are at least 18 years old before granting access.

The bill defines “harmful to minors” based on standards lacking serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value for youth.

It included protections for data privacy and enforcement mechanisms through the attorney general and private lawsuits by parents.

If passed, the legislation would have allowed the state Attorney General to enforce and create a private right of action for parents or guardians to sue noncompliant sites for up to $10,000 per violation, plus actual damages and attorney’s fees.

The Minnesota House Republican Caucus wrote of the outcome:

“MINNESOTANS: You have just witnessed every single Democrat vote against our bill that would have put restrictions on adult content for minors.”

They emphasized that the bill was a straightforward effort to shield kids from the flood of obscene material online.

The bill had been under discussion since the early 2025-2026 session.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, during a debate about the bill, Democrat State Representative Leigh Finke, the state’s first openly transgender legislator, voiced strong opposition, claiming porn can be “educational” for queer kids.

Finke claimed that the vague definition of “prurient interest” could be interpreted to include “the very existence of transgender kids.”

The representative also claimed attorneys general in other states with similar laws are “almost jubilant” about using them to ban children from accessing material that “could be educational if they are queer.”

At least 10 US service members were injured in an attack on Prince Sultan Airbase in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

The Wall Street Journal and CBS News reported that an Iranian missile struck the air base, wounding up to 10 US service members.

According to CBS News, two American service members were very seriously injured and eight were seriously injured.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

Ten American servicemembers were wounded in an Iranian attack on the Prince Sultan air base in Saudi Arabia Friday, according to multiple U.S. and Arab officials. Two of the servicemembers are considered seriously wounded, the officials said.

The injured servicemembers were inside a building on the base that was struck in the attack, the officials said. The attack also damaged multiple U.S. refueling aircraft. At least one missile struck the base, as well as several unmanned aerial vehicles, according to two of the officials.

The missile strike is at least the second to strike the base during the war against Iran. Five refueling aircraft were damaged in an earlier strike, the Journal reported.

Thirteen US service members have been killed in action in Operation Epic Fury.

Seven service members were killed in attacks on bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The Gateway Pundit reported on the 4 deaths of Army Reserve Soldiers serving in Kuwait.

The heroes died on March 1, 2026, in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, during an unmanned aircraft system attack.

“All Soldiers were assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command, Des Moines, Iowa. The incident is under investigation,” the Pentagon said at the time.

The Department of War identified them as:

• Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida
• Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska
• Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota
• Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, lowa

Six service members aboard a Stratotanker were killed when it went down in Iraq.

More than 300 US service members have been wounded in Operation Epic Fury.

Senator Rand Paul has said he is “50/50” on the idea of running for president in 2028.

In an interview with CBS host Robert Costa that will air this Sunday, Paul was asked about his feelings on the Trump administration and the current direction of the Republican Party.

He explained:

There used to really be a free market/Libertarian wing of the party, and now there’s not much left.

In fact, on many days it’s me in the Senate, the only one left for free trade.

But I think there still is a desire among business for it, and it may make the so-called Libertarian vote, hich might not be big enough to ever win anything, if you combine that with the Chamber of the Commerce and the traditional business community that doesn’t like protectionism, there may be a force out there for a different direction from the party other than being continued to be led by populism.

Costa then remarked that Paul “sounds like he’s running for president.”

“Yeah, I don’t know yet, so maybe they know something,” Paul responded.

“I don’t know. We’re thinking about it, and I would say 50-50,” he continued.

”We’ll make a decision after the election.”

It would not be the first time that Paul has run for the presidency.

Paul ran for the presidency in the 2016 presidential election, but withdrew following a poor showing in the Iowa caucuses.

His father, Ron Paul, mounted high-profile campaigns in 2008 and 2012, building a strong grassroots following with a view to pushing the Republican Party in a more libertarian direction.

President Trump trolled Iranian regime leaders over the destruction of their military and gave the Strait of Hormuz a new name while speaking at the Future Investment Initiative Priority Summit in Miami Beach, Florida, on Friday.

While speaking about Iran’s desire to make a deal with the United States, Trump said, “They have to open up the Strait of Trump,” causing the room to burst into laughter.

“I mean Hormuz, excuse me. I’m so sorry. Such a terrible mistake,” he continued. Then he doubled down that he was serious, telling the crowd, “There’s no accidents with me.”

Trump also highlighted his executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America, mimicking Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum with a Mexican accent, saying, “President, President, President, tell me this is not so” after he executed the name change.

Then he spoke about the US military’s obliteration of Iran’s military and killing of their leaders in Operation Epic Fury. “And their leaders are all dead. Other than that, I think they’re doing quite well,” he said, sparking more laughter from the crowd.

“Their Supreme Leader is no longer supreme. He’s dead. Son is either dead or in very bad shape because nobody has heard from him,” Trump continued, noting that nobody in Iran wants to be the Supreme Leader now.

And their leaders are all dead. Other than that, I think they’re doing quite well. No their leaders are dead. Their Supreme Leader is no longer supreme. He’s dead.
