Another day, another jaw-dropping example of airport madness, as a simple baggage fee dispute on a budget airline flight spiraled into full-blown chaos.

Three passengers at Miami International Airport triggered a shocking scene after refusing to pay additional baggage fees on a Frontier Airlines flight bound for Philadelphia, the New York Post reported.

Witnesses say the women, Nafisa Dockery, 30, Dionjana Cochran, 21, and Davana Cochran, 26, were asked to pay for extra carry-on bags but refused.

Instead of complying, they allegedly forced their way through a restricted boarding area and boarded the aircraft anyway.

The Daily Mail reported:

An arrest report seen by the Daily Mail said that the three were asked to step out of line to pay for the luggage when a verbal spat broke out.

They were then told by an airline employee that they would be removed from the flight if they didn’t pay.

It is claimed that Dockery then told the others: ‘We don’t have to listen, let’s just go’, with the three rushing the gate and then boarding the flight through a restricted area.

Frontier Airlines canceled their boarding passes and requested law enforcement intervention. Deputies repeatedly warned the passengers to leave the plane but they refused to budge.

When deputies finally moved in, things escalated quickly.

Authorities say the trio resisted removal, leading to a physical confrontation with officers. One of the women allegedly spit on another person, while others shouted and caused a scene as they were dragged off the aircraft in handcuffs.

Incredibly, viral footage shows one of the passengers even dancing and taunting officers during the arrest.

All three now face charges, including trespassing and resisting officers, with additional charges in at least one case.

Longtime Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby has officially stepped down after more than three decades in law enforcement, just months after playing a central role in the high-profile surrender of the man accused of assassinating conservative hero Charlie Kirk.

According to KUTV, Brooksby quietly submitted his resignation last Friday, with county officials confirming his departure and thanking him for his service.

“We express our sincere appreciation for his dedication and service to Washington County,” the county said in a statement.

According to ABC4, Brooksby met with county commissioners on Friday to discuss vague “complaints” about office operations. Hours later, he resigned on the spot.

The news outlet added that “the individuals who made the complaints against the Sheriff’s Office have requested that no further action be taken, a request that is being respected.”

Sheriff Brooksby was the man who personally facilitated the surrender of Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old charged with gunning down Charlie Kirk in broad daylight at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

According to Brooksby himself, Robinson was “fearful of being shot” and insisted on turning himself in under carefully managed conditions.

The sheriff worked with a retired deputy and the suspect’s family to arrange the surrender, an unusual process for a suspect accused of a politically motivated assassination.

Robinson ultimately turned himself in after a 33-hour manhunt.

Just hours before Brooksby’s resignation became public, bombshell reports emerged from Robinson’s defense team.

On the same day Boorksby resigned, Tyler Robinson’s attorneys filed a motion seeking to postpone his May 18 preliminary hearing, pointing to an ATF report that determined toolmark analysis on a bullet jacket recovered during Kirk’s autopsy was inconclusive due to extensive damage.

According to court filings, an ATF ballistics analysis was unable to connect the bullet recovered from Charlie Kirk’s body to the .30-06 rifle allegedly used by Robinson.

“The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) was unable to identify the bullet recovered at autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Mr. Robinson,” the defense stated, citing federal reports.

CNN alumnus Chris Cillizza said former Vice President Kamala Harris is likely mounting another White House run, and he explained how that would be ‘very bad’ news for Democrats.

Late last week on his podcast, “So What,” Cillizza warned about the potential damage Harris could do to the Democratic Party if she runs for president again.

“I think this is a bad thing for the Democratic Party that she appears to be moving closer to running,” he proclaimed. “I think that she, based on the polling, would start the race as the front-runner.”

He added, “Notice I focused on ‘start the race as the front-runner.’”

“But I think that the Harris people, or Harris herself, will learn the wrong lesson from that — or has already learned the wrong lesson from that,” Cillizza continued. “And by that I mean this: She will look at that and say, ‘I’m in first place. Why wouldn’t I run? It’s my nomination to lose.’”

His comments came after CNN reported that Harris is scheduled to appear at Democratic events in four southern states next month.

The former vice president’s publicity tour for her book “107 Days” received negative press after it was discovered that she was using California Highway Patrol officers to serve as her personal security.

California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton, a Republican, said if elected, he would rescind the protection, which he called a “corrupt freebie.”

About one week later, Harris announced she was cancelling several stops on the tour, according to KCRA-TV.

“In the one general election she ran on the national level, she lost to Donald Trump, a deeply flawed candidate,” Cillizza explained. “So number one, I just don’t think, in … candidate skills, when it comes to being able to reach across the aisle and get voters who are not already hard-core Democrats, I don’t think she has a great record of doing that.”

Cillizza also concluded that Harris would steal attention from other potential Democratic nominees if she ran again, and that she would make former President Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline a main talking point of the election.

“Democrats will spend at least some of 2027, maybe most of 2027, re-litigating the Joe Biden years in the White House,” he declared. “Because the way that Kamala Harris loses the race — and the way I think she will lose the race — is to not have a good answer for ‘why didn’t you see what was going on with Joe Biden physically and mentally?’ Or, ‘if you did see it, why didn’t you say something?’”

“Now, Harris has said repeatedly, ‘Every time I interacted with him, he was totally fine.’ But in retrospect, you know, maybe it was too big a risk.”

“There is no way her Democratic primary opponents are going to let her get away with just that. Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania, who will definitely run for president, has already made clear that Harris and Pete Buttigieg, who was the secretary of transportation, will have to answer for the role they played in covering up Joe Biden’s physical and mental well-being.

“Now, ‘cover up’ is probably too strong a word, but … why didn’t they say more? Why didn’t they notice more? Why didn’t they say more if they did notice?

“If Harris is in the race, and she is the front-runner in the race, I guarantee you everyone else, with the exception of Buttigieg, will go after her on, ‘You’re tied to an unpopular administration.’

“Even Democrats don’t want to go back to the Biden administration. ”

It’s no secret that Americans don’t like high prices at the gas pump, but a Gallup poll released last week found that it’s not the issue consumers identify as the country’s most pressing concern — not by a long shot.

Conducted in the days immediately after the U.S. and Israel initially struck Iran on Feb. 28, the poll released Thursday found that only 35 percent of Americans worried “a great deal” about the availability and affordability of gas and energy.

The exact same percentage of Americans felt similarly last year — and an even larger 37 percent of Americans felt similarly in 2024 during former President Joe Biden’s final year in office.

“In 2022, during the last major spike in gas prices, 47 percent said they worried a great deal,” according to Gallup. “Gallup has observed elevated worry about energy at other times of rising gas prices, such as in 2006, 2008 and 2011.”

Nationwide, the average gallon of gas at the end of February was $2.98, according to the AAA. As March draws to a close, that average is almost a full dollar higher at $3.90, according to AAA.

The Gallup poll also found that only 2 percent of Americans considered gas/energy prices the top issue facing the country.

Americans instead appeared to be more worried about government (28 percent), the economy in general (15 percent), immigration (14 percent), and inflation (10 percent).

Only 43 percent of Americans expected a critical energy shortage to occur within five years. This was significantly short of the 55 percent who felt similarly at the outset of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and the 60 percent who felt similarly in 2008 and 2011.

The numbers appeared drastically affected by political positions: A sizable 46 percent of Democrats worried a great deal about gas/energy, whereas only 23 percent of Republicans share this sentiment.

“The figures reflect a 10-percentage-point decline in concern among Republicans since last March, early in President Donald Trump’s second term, and an eight-point increase in concern among Democrats,” according to Gallup.

Average gas prices have increased to $3.98.

A month ago, gas prices were $2.95.

While the Gallup poll — based on interviews conducted March 2-18 — was good news for Republicans, a separate, more recent AP-NORC poll may have slightly dampened the win.

This poll found that 45 percent of Americans were “extremely” or “very” concerned about being able to afford gas in the upcoming months.

This was “up from 30 percent in an AP-NORC poll conducted shortly after Trump won re-election with promises that he would improve the economy and lower the cost of living,” according to The Associated Press.

The same poll — based on interviews conducted March 19-23 — found that roughly two-thirds of Americans said that preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon should be an “extremely” or “very” important U.S. goal.

But the poll also found that Americans “are just as likely to say it’s important to keep U.S. oil and gas prices from rising,” the AP noted.

Some conservatives have called for a gas tax holiday to be pursued on the national level:

To bolster GOP midterm chances, Trump should suspend all tariffs, his most unpopular policy, and congress should pass a gas tax holiday to help with affordability, the most important issue with voters.
