Urban blasted Schumer for blocking Department of Homeland Security funding out of fear that passing a compromise bill would anger his liberal base and hurt his chances of becoming Senate Majority Leader in the future.

“Tom Homan was up on the hill negotiating, trying to get this bill passed in the Senate. You’ve seen the White House give on lots of things — [body] cameras, identification on ICE. The white house has given and given and given,” Urban began.

Urban continued, “The fact of the matter is, Chuck Schumer is just a chicken sh*t. I’ll say it, because he’s concerned that he’s not going to be the majority leader. He doesn’t want to pass anything that doesn’t just blow up ICE.”

“So that’s why we’re stuck here… everybody knows what has to be done. Chuck Schumer won’t allow it to be done in the Senate.”

The Democrat-caused DHS shutdown has caused major staffing shortages at TSA, which is creating massive delays at airports nationwide during spring break travel.

Nearly 400 agents have already quit, and many are not showing up to work, as they are not being paid during the shutdown.

Leftist lunatic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey appeared on MSNBC’s The Weekend with co-host Jonathan Capehart on Sunday and suggested President Donald Trump could simply “hire out more TSA agents” to fix the growing airport chaos caused by the ongoing partial government shutdown.

Frey is apparently unaware that the president cannot hire additional agents while funding remains blocked.

“If the goal here was safety at airports, he could hire out more TSA agents who do an incredible job at keeping our airports safe,” Frey claimed.

Capehart did not bother to correct him or inform the audience that his suggestion is not possible or allowed.

The Democrat mayor went on to accuse the Trump administration of trying to “terrorize people” with the president’s plan to temporarily deploy ICE agents to airports.

“If the goal was keeping our streets safe and our cities [safe], he would work with cities around hiring additional police officers and creating the kind of safety infrastructure that we need to keep people safe,” Frey said. “But of course, we all know that’s not the goal. The goal is to terrorize people. And for someone that states that they care so much about bringing the economy back — causing a ton of fear in airports, preventing the kind of safe air travel that we need for commerce, is not a good mechanism to do it.”
