A man in a suit speaks passionately at a podium, with an American flag in the background, emphasizing key points during a public address.

As TGP’s Cassandra MacDonald reported on Saturday, Vice President JD Vance announced no deal had been reached with Iran after a 21-hour marathon negotiations.

Vance made the announcement during a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday night.

The Vice President traveled to Pakistan to engage in historic, direct negotiations with Iran after President Trump announced a double-sided ceasefire last week.

“We’ve been at it now for 21 hours, and we’ve had a number of substantive discussions with the Iranians. That’s the good news,” Vance said.

“The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement. And I think that’s bad news for Iran much more than it’s bad news for the United States of America,” he added.

WATCH:

At the time it was unclear which specific ‘red line’ points the US and Iran could not agree to during the negotiations.

“We’ve made very clear what our red lines are, what things we’re willing to accommodate them on, and what things we’re not willing to accommodate them on, and we’ve made that as clear as we possibly could,” Vance said. “Iran may have chosen not to accept our terms.”

“Well, I won’t go into all the details because I don’t want to negotiate in public after we negotiated for 21 hours in private,” Vance said.

“But the simple fact is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon, and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon. That is the core goal of the President of the United States, and that’s what we’ve tried to achieve through these negotiations,” he said.

Here is the US’s ‘red line’ list according to Semafor (It is unclear if any points were agreed upon):

– End all uranium enrichment
– Dismantle all major nuclear enrichment facilities
– Retrieve highly enriched uranium
– Accept a broader peace, security and de-escalation framework that includes regional allies
– End funding for terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis
– Fully open the Strait of Hormuz, charging no tolls for passage

On Sunday, following Vance’s announcement that Iran failed to agree to the US’s terms, President Trump and CENTCOM announced that there will be a Naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces will begin implementing a blockade of all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports on April 13 at 10 a.m. ET, in accordance with the President’s proclamation.

The blockade will be enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. CENTCOM forces will not impede freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports.

Scumbag Eric Swalwell’s Problems Worsen as Allegations of Immigration and Campaign Finance Violations Emerge

Rep. Eric Swalwell – Screencap of Twitter/X video.

Rep. Eric Swalwell’s problems are just going from bad to worse.

The California Democrat, who was until recently leading the polls for California’s upcoming gubernatorial race, is now facing allegations that he violated both immigration and campaign finance laws.

According to a report from The New York Post, two complaints filed with federal authorities claim Swalwell and his wife kept Brazilian national Amanda Barbosa working for them after her legal work status expired.

One complaint filed with the Department of Labor alleges the couple misled federal authorities to extend her stay.

A separate complaint filed with the Department of Homeland Security claims Swalwell paid Barbosa under the table using campaign funds while she lacked valid work authorization.

Barbosa first arrived in the United States in 2021 on an au pair visa. She was hired later that year to care for the couple’s three children.

Federal Election Commission records show Barbosa received $3,914 in campaign funds in 2021, followed by $46,930 in 2022.

Her visa expired in December 2022. Under student visa rules, which she later used, she was not permitted to work off campus.

Despite that, complaints allege she continued working as a live-in nanny for the family.

Social media posts reviewed in the filings appear to show Barbosa regularly caring for the children throughout 2023 and 2024, including at family events and public appearances.

Campaign records show payments to Barbosa stopped on paper after 2022.

However, more than $52,000 in childcare expenses were later reimbursed directly to Swalwell, a move the complaint alleges was used to conceal continued payments.

By 2025, Barbosa was again listed in campaign payments, receiving $38,905, according to FEC data.

Swalwell’s campaign has already been rocked by multiple sexual assault accusations, including claims from a former staffer who alleges he raped her.

He has denied those allegations, calling them “absolutely false” and refusing to drop out the race.

It has since been reported that the Manhattan District Attorney is investigating Swalwell in relation to the sexual assault allegations.

Meanwhile, even most his supporters have called on him to drop out the race for the California governorship.

SCARY: Maryland Elementary School Vandalized with Graffiti Glorifying Sandy Hook Shooter
April 12, 2026

Parents, students, and the community in Montgomery County, Maryland, have been left rattled after graffiti honoring the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooter, Adam Lanza, was discovered on Bradley Hills Elementary School over the weekend.

The graffiti, which read “RIP Adam Lanza,” was found painted on a fence at the elementary school on Saturday.

In 2012, Lanza shocked and saddened the world when he carried out the Sandy Hook massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, murdering 20 first-grade children and six adults before taking his own life.

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) immediately notified families in a letter sent to the Bradley Hills Elementary community.

MCPS Chief of Schools Dr. Peter O. Moran wrote:

“Today, graffiti was discovered on a fence at Bradley Hills Elementary School that included the name of the perpetrator of the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting in 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut. To be clear, the use of the name of an individual responsible for such a heinous act, one that involved the loss of life of young school children, can only be interpreted as an act intended to intimidate and cause fear within the Bradley Hills School community, and the broader neighborhood and community, too.”

Dr. Moran added that the “despicable act” would be met with a “substantial and uniform response” from MCPS and the Montgomery County Police Department.

School staff documented the graffiti, and a building services team removed it before the end of Saturday evening.

This latest act of vandalism comes just days after another alarming incident at the same school, an outdoor storage shed on the grounds was intentionally set on fire earlier in the week.

Police and school officials are investigating whether the two events are connected.

Security camera footage from the school has been turned over to investigators.

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been announced.

In response to the incidents, authorities have increased patrols around the school, with additional police and MCPS security presence planned for Monday morning when students return.

Dr. Moran emphasized, “We understand how both of these incidents are extremely unsettling and concerning for students, families, staff, and neighbors. Please know that school leaders, security team members, and our law enforcement partners are taking this very seriously.”

The school is urging anyone with information to contact the Montgomery County Police Department non-emergency line at 301-279-8000. Anonymous tips can also be submitted via the Maryland Safe Schools Tip Line at 1-833-632-7233 or online here.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, just last month, two teenage girls at Lake Brantley High School in Seminole County, Florida, one of whom claims to be transgender, were charged with attempted premeditated murder after authorities say one became obsessed with Lanza and plotted to kill a male classmate in a bizarre “blood ritual” to bring him back to life.

Isabelle Aurelia Valdez, 15, who court documents and police reports identify as transgender and goes by the name “Jimmy,” allegedly stalked the victim for months because he reminded her of Lanza.

According to Altamonte Springs Police reports and court filings, Valdez planned to lure the boy into an upstairs bathroom during his second-period class, push him into a stall, slash his throat or stab him in the stomach, drink his blood, and place flowers on his body.

Valdez is said to have believed the act would create a “blood bond” that would resurrect Lanza.

Her 14-year-old best friend, Lois Lippert, allegedly helped by bringing flowers to school and sharpening the knife in the bathroom. The pair also gathered gloves, trash bags, wipes, cigarettes, and a lighter for the ritual.

The pair was busted when an anonymous tip was submitted through a school safety tip line in January.

Budapest is in danger, now.

Conservatives around the world are saddened by the crushing electoral defeat sustained by right-wing hero, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the man Brussels loves to hate.

After spending the last years under constant siege by the EU Globalist establishment, and with a campaign where widespread illegal wiretaps were used to sway the population, Orbán conceded defeat today after what he called a ‘painful’ election result.

This defeat ends 16 years in power defending family and traditional values, building bridges to both US President Donald J. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Associated Press reported:

“’I congratulated the victorious party’, Orbán told supporters in Budapest. “We are going to serve the Hungarian nation and our homeland from opposition as well.

Initial official results show opposition leader Peter Magyar’s party dominating the election.”

Today’s election had the highest turnout in Hungary’s post-Communist history, with almost 78% of eligible voters having cast their ballots.

CNN reported:

“Viktor Orbán’s election defeat was met with a huge sigh of relief, and a bit of schadenfreude, in Brussels, as European officials hope a new Hungarian government will bring more pro-European attitude to the table.

Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, said on social media that ‘Hungary has chosen Europe’.

‘Europe has always chosen Hungary. Together, we are stronger. A country reclaims its European path. The Union grows stronger’, she said.”

A Matter of Political Will: How El Salvador Destroyed Three Decades of Liberal Criminology

A Matter of Political Will: How El Salvador Destroyed Three Decades of Liberal Criminology

President Nayib Bukele reduced the crime rate by over 90 percent by imprisoning gang members in the Terrorism Confinement Center and keeping them there. It was a matter of political will. Photo courtesy of the Asamblea Legislativa de El Salvador.

President Nayib Bukele described El Salvador’s transformation as something that could not be explained by human effort alone. “Our war against poverty didn’t have a single chance. I don’t know how to explain it, more than because it was God’s hand.”

The transformation President Bukele is referring to began with crime reduction. El Salvador recorded 2,398 homicides in 2019, the year he took office.

By 2024, that number had fallen to 114, a murder rate of 1.9 per 100,000 people. Once widely considered the most violent country in the world, El Salvador is now among the safest in the region.

To achieve this, Bukele implemented the Territorial Control Plan, declared a state of exception that suspended aspects of due process, and arrested more than 96,000 gang members.

Many were imprisoned in the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), a high-security facility equipped with cell phone jammers to prevent gang leaders from continuing to operate from inside the prison.

Improved security has led to an improved economy. Tourism has returned to the country in significant numbers. In 2019, El Salvador hosted approximately 1.7 million tourists.

By 2024, arrivals had reached 3.9 million, generating $3.5 billion in foreign revenue, an increase of roughly 129 percent. Tourism contributed about 14 percent of GDP in 2024, up from 6.4 percent five years earlier. The UN World Tourism Organization recorded a 35 percent increase in visitors in 2023 compared to 2019.

Foreign direct investment surged as well. In 2023, FDI reached $760 million, a 344 percent increase that surpassed the country’s annual average of $466 million over the previous two decades.

According to El Salvador’s Central Bank, overall poverty dropped by 5.9 percent from 2023 to 2024, reducing the number of Salvadorans living in poverty by approximately 114,000 people in a single year.

Multidimensional poverty, which measures access to health care, education, and housing rather than just income, fell from 25.1 percent in 2023 to 21.1 percent in 2024.

Bukele’s approval rating has consistently exceeded 80 percent since taking office and reached 85 percent in a May 2025 poll. He won re-election in February 2024 with nearly 85 percent of the vote, and his party captured 54 of 60 legislative seats.

He attributed the change to divine intervention, stating that “no one can doubt it… it’s evident that God works when asked with faith.” In his view, the transformation of what was once considered the most dangerous country in the world into a far more secure nation stands as “the clearest miracle.”

Bukele argued that improving a country that was already functioning would be one thing, but turning “the worst” into stability and security was something entirely different. That, he said, is what makes it “a miracle example,” emphasizing that the scale of the change goes beyond what human effort alone could achieve.

He pointed to the results themselves as proof, while also acknowledging that even those responsible for the policies cannot fully explain how it happened. “We have to confess that we don’t know how it happened,” he said, adding that if it could be fully explained, “then it’s not a miracle.”

Describing the country’s situation before the crackdown on gangs, he could just as easily have been describing Mexico or several other Latin American countries where narcos effectively control the government.

He said that, prior to his reforms, El Salvador had been governed by two competing systems: a legitimate democratic government elected by the people and a parallel structure imposed by criminal organizations. He described this second system as “the dictatorship of the gangs,” where power was enforced through violence rather than consent.

He explained that, unlike a democracy, no one could choose or vote out this criminal authority. “Whoever doesn’t want to comply gets shot,” he said, calling it “the true dictatorship that El Salvador lived through.”

According to Bukele, these gangs exercised more territorial control than the official government, which he described as incapable, corrupt, and complicit in criminal activity. While the state collected taxes, many citizens avoided or were exempt from them. In contrast, gang extortion, which they referred to as “income,” was unavoidable.

He stated that roughly 85 percent of Salvadorans were forced to pay this extortion, effectively creating a parallel tax system that covered nearly the entire country. In his view, this amounted to a de facto government imposed by criminal groups.

Bukele also described the failure of past enforcement efforts. Authorities would arrest gang members, but “the next day 101 came out,” meaning arrests were quickly offset by releases and new recruits. He added that gangs retaliated by targeting police families, discouraging law enforcement from taking action.

As a result, he said, the country functioned as what many would call a failed state. When the state cannot enforce law and order, it loses its monopoly on violence. In that vacuum, criminal organizations assume control, effectively becoming a parallel government.

For decades, liberal criminologists argued that incarceration and the threat of punishment do not deter crime, and that only addressing root causes such as poverty, inequality, and lack of opportunity could reduce violence. El Salvador has disproved that argument in real time. Bukele’s government achieved what no Western academic study ever could: near-certain arrest and lifetime imprisonment for gang activity, applied at scale across an entire country.

The result was a 95 percent reduction in homicides in five years, in a nation that remained poor throughout. Crime collapsed because the rational calculation changed.

In the West, liquor stores are robbed more frequently than banks, even though banks hold more cash and staff are instructed to comply. Despite the higher payoff, criminals are less likely to rob banks because the FBI will almost certainly catch them and a federal judge will sentence them to decades in prison.

Salvadoran gang members stopped collecting extortion from tortilla vendors for the same reason. With a near 100 percent chance of being caught and sent to a prison widely described as a living hell, criminals have decided that crime does not pay. El Salvador has proved that large-scale crime reduction is possible. It is a matter of political will.
