A newly resurfaced recording of a damning phone call has revealed that Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was warned about the potential for the dangerous and destructive wildfires that swept through southern California more than a year ago.

She had all of this information before she left the country for a trip to Ghana. She went anyway.

It’s just another reminder of how incompetent Bass is as a mayor. The people of Los Angles were doomed before the fires even began.

In the leaked audio, Bass was reportedly talking to John Alle, a local resident and property manager in the Santa Monica and Westlake areas. Alle himself confirmed this here.

Reports are that Elle called Bass on Jan. 4, 2025, warning her about the risks tied to the weather, the wind, and dry conditions. In the call, Alle said he tried to convince Bass not to leave for Africa, but in the secretly recorded audio, she told Elle she had no intention of canceling her trip in spite of all his warnings.

To be sure, we have not been able to verify with 100% certainty the validity of this leaked audio, but it is worth noting that neither Bass nor her office has disputed the call’s authenticity and the content of the audio.

This is the transcript of the call:

Bass says, “The situation is very dangerous, and I would never do… I will take the criticism before I do a publicity stunt, and frankly a press conference at this point in time would just be publicity.”

Elle interrupts with, “I think my neighbors, property owners, and the residents – 41,000 people live within a square mile here. Two families share a one-bedroom apartment…”

Bass then says, “But they wanna hear that something is gonna be done.”

Elle replies, “They want to know it’s recognized.”

Bass then gets creepily cryptic, “Exactly, but if I have a choice between that and compromising something, I just have to go along with it. It’s not my area of expertise. I wanna make sure that you are safe. And hopefully you can read in between the lines. But I would just appreciate… and it’s hard for me to tell you this, but um, hold tight. You will understand soon.”

The two then indicate they now understand each other, and Bass then adds, “And when I am able to talk, I will be happy to go into great detail.”

Elle reminds Bass, “You’ve got me on the street, and you’re welcome to call me at any time, I’ll call you right back.”

On the matter of her plans to travel to Ghana in the midst of this crisis, Bass tells Elle, “Just in terms of my trip, just so you know I’m missing two work days. That’s it. And if President Biden extends an invitation, I took it.”

On top of all of this, there was no water in the reservoirs to feed the fire hydrants, making the blazes almost impossible to stop.

It was not just a failure of leadership. It was borderline criminal.

Democrats want to talk about rhetoric, but they cannot escape one damning fact.

Regardless of who uses what words, the bullets have only flown in one direction.

In the wake of Saturday’s alleged assassination attempt against President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C., Democratic Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois told CNN’s Pamela Brown that Trump bears special responsibility for the inflamed passions that have produced such acts of violence.

First, Brown played a clip of Trump commenting on political violence in general before blaming Democrats in particular.

Then, the CNN host asked the congressman for his comment.

“I think that definitely the rhetoric needs to cool,” Krishnamoorthi said in a clip posted to the social media platform X. “But remember his own rhetoric has inflamed the discourse in a way that we haven’t seen before.”

For more than 10 years, of course, Trump has indeed used colorful language to attack his political opponents. More often than not, the president used that language to fight back against Democrats’ outrageous slanders.

Moreover, in many cases, those slanders have had sinister origins and purposes. When they called him a Russian agent, for instance, Democrats had already laid the groundwork for a “treasonous conspiracy” that included the manufacturing of intelligence to perpetuate a hoax that undermined the first Trump administration.

The same thing happened after the 2017 Charlottesville protests. Democrats accused Trump of racism with their now-debunked “very fine people” hoax. In fact, last week, the Department of Justice secured 11 indictments against the extreme-leftist Southern Poverty Law Center, which stands accused of funding that event (and other hate-group leaders) to raise funds off the manufactured racism.

In other words, with Democrats, there exists a correlation between words and actions.

For instance, in the same CNN interview, Krishnamoorthi subtly tried to legitimize the attempted violence against Trump.

“There’s tremendous, as you can understand, concern, given the threat levels that are going up, in part because of the president and now three assassination attempts on him, his very low approval ratings, which unfortunately fuel a lot of disaffection,” the congressman said in another clip posted to X.

When, therefore, the president has low approval ratings, we should expect violence? No Republican ever took a shot at the wildly unpopular former President Joe Biden.

Unfortunately, Democrats do not behave the same way. Convinced of their own righteousness, they produce foot soldiers who justify murder.

In fact, not only do they justify it, they celebrate it. Thousands of unhinged leftists went online to gloat following the September assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Thus, Krishnamoorthi can say whatever he likes about Trump’s rhetoric. The fact remains that in the present era — call it the Trump Era — the purveyors of violence have only targeted Republicans.

A federal judge in Maryland has sided with a group of immigrants from countries flagged for terror risks and national security threats, blocking USCIS from pausing their green card applications.

U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Judge George L. Russell III, an Obama appointee, issued a sweeping preliminary injunction on Friday, blocking USCIS Director Joseph B. Edlow from enforcing two key Policy Memoranda (PM-602-0192 and PM-602-0194) that placed adjudicatory holds on green card (Form I-485) applications from nationals of dozens of “Countries of Identified Concern.”

These policies were a direct response to President Trump’s Presidential Proclamations 10949 and 10998, which rightly restricted entry from high-risk nations lacking proper screening and vetting capabilities, such as Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, Venezuela, Eritrea, and more.

This is to enhance national security reviews to keep terrorists, criminals, and public safety threats out of our communities.

But this judge, in a 39-page Memorandum Opinion, ruled the holds “arbitrary and capricious,” claiming USCIS failed to adequately consider “reliance interests” of the 83 plaintiffs (many from these exact hot spots) who want their green cards processed ASAP. The court ordered the government to resume processing these applications, potentially within 30 days.

The Daily Record reported:

The 83 Maryland plaintiffs sued in January and asked for a preliminary injunction against the hold on applications by people from those countries. They alleged the indefinite pause would cause irreparable harm to their careers, businesses and families.

All but three of the plaintiffs are citizens of Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iran, Syria or Venezuela, which are all on the list; the other three are married to citizens of those countries. Twenty-five are spouses or children of the other 58.

Russell noted that many are scientists and researchers who are unable to attend international conferences while their residency applications are pending. Others alleged in the complaint that they have had to postpone decisions about having children due to the uncertainty.

Russell granted their request for a preliminary injunction, deciding to preserve the status quo before the indefinite pause. He ruled that the USCIS policy memorandum counts as a “final agency action” eligible for court review.

The order only applies to the 83 plaintiffs.

Russell ruled that they were likely to succeed on the merits of their claims, that they were likely to suffer irreparable harm without final decisions on their applications and that a preliminary injunction would serve the public interest.

He declined, however, to order the agency to process the applications within 30 days, as the plaintiffs requested, because they are in different stages. Some of them have provided the required biometrics data — including fingerprints, photos and signatures — and are awaiting final approval, while others only submitted their applications shortly before the complaint was filed.

A viral video from her past presser last year on the Alien Enemies Act has resurfaced, showing the congresswoman solemnly declaring that the last time the law was invoked was “during World War Eleven.”

She apparently skipped right past the greatest generation’s fight against actual Nazis and fascists and jumped straight into some alternate timeline where Hitler had eight more shots at world domination.

This latest embarrassment comes hot on the heels of Omar being put in the hot seat over Minnesota’s massive fraud scandals and her own suspicious “millions” that mysteriously vanished.

Just weeks ago, her congressional financial filings showed her and husband Tim Mynett’s assets ballooning to between $6 million and $30 million, a shocking jump that raised red flags with Republicans and President Trump.

Then, poof! An “amended” disclosure magically slashed it all the way down to a humble $18,000 to $95,000, blaming a poor accountant for forgetting liabilities.

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer and other Minnesota lawmakers aren’t buying the “oopsie” either, demanding accountability and records as Omar skips hearings tied to the Feeding Our Future child nutrition fraud, that $250 million taxpayer heist that funneled money through Somali-linked networks in her district.

Trump has openly suggested she profited from the grift ripping off kids’ meals for luxury cars and bling, according to WSJ.
