As comedian Stephen Colbert prepares to exit the late-night stage following a disastrous run at CBS, he refused to bow out with grace and instead used his last gasp to take a parting shot at President Donald Trump.

Colbert interviewed his Comedy Central mentor Jon Stewart during Tuesday’s episode of “The Late Show,” and the arrogance displayed by both men served as yet another reminder of why Colbert was dismissed.

Stewart gushed over his protege, calling him “just a tremendous human and one of my favorite people,” adding that “he can do whatever he wants to do,” which drew the usual mindless applause.

And rather than acknowledge that it was time for Colbert to move on, Stewart did what came naturally: He blamed Trump.

“The ubiquitous bloviating of the commander-in-chief has put us all, as defined as who we are in opposition to him, and it’s just a ridiculous framing,” Stewart claimed. “It’s a minute portion of the joy machine that you call your show. And it’s annoying.”

“Close your eyes and dream,” he added. “The day that the electorate in this great nation we call home repudiates this putrid administration, the day that that happens, my brother, my brother, there will be — and I mean this — the day that that happens, there will be a joyful noise from the bowels of this great country that will make Hungary’s repudiation of Orban look like an Amish Sabbath.”

Talk about out of touch. Stewart might as well have screamed “I’m smarter than you,” given his vocab choice. He also lied about the political bias currently infecting the entertainment industry.

Back in October 2024, at the height of the presidential race, the Media Research Center reviewed every joke told on late-night programs from Sept. 3 to Oct. 25. Researchers examined hosts like Colbert and Stewart, along with ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel and NBC hosts Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers.

The result? Almost 100 percent of the jokes targeted Trump.

It wasn’t the president, or the public, who gave them this legacy. These comics willingly, night after night, attacked Trump and his supporters as if the world was coming to an end.

Kimmel infamously shed crocodile tears following Trump’s 2024 victory and later made comments about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk that nearly got him cancelled.

In addition, he described First Lady Melania Trump as having the “glow of an expectant widow,” just days before an assassination attempt was made against the president at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Does that sound like a group of apolitical comedians who just want to bring joy to the masses?

Colbert inherited a massively successful brand that went back decades with David Letterman. He was handed a built-in audience to blend with his own niche following from the “Colbert Report.”

He was paid millions to attract younger viewers, while still honoring traditions of the past.

Colbert had all the tools to be successful, yet he failed because he alienated half his audience from the jump.

Every late-night comic, from Colbert and Kimmel to Fallon and Conan O’Brien, has constantly praised Johnny Carson as their idol. Yet they disrespect his memory by siding with one political party and treating political correctness like it’s a religion.

Carson was more beloved than all of them combined because he kept his politics out of it. The king of late night even laid out a blueprint for his success during a 1984 interview with Barbara Walters.

“I think one of the dangers if you are a comedian, which basically I am, is that if you start to take yourself too seriously and start to comment on social issues, your sense of humor suffers somewhere,” he declared.

“Some critics have said that our show doesn’t have great sociological value, it’s not controversial, it’s not deep. But ‘The Tonight Show’ basically is designed to amuse people. To make them laugh.”

Jay Leno, who succeeded Carson as host of “The Tonight Show,” said his politics were a mystery and that he would “equally make fun of everybody.”

Actor Vince Vaughn also highlighted late night comedy’s problems back in March, saying that, “Podcasts have gotten so much more popular with less production, less writers, less staff… People want authenticity… So people just rejected it because it didn’t feel authentic. It felt like they had an agenda. It stopped being funny.”

As America enters the podcasting age, these biased late-night hosts will likely fade into obscurity, and in the end, they’ll have no one to blame but themselves.

Virginia’s new Democrat Governor Abigail Spanberger has just announced that she is signing an executive order to keep ICE agents away from polling places.

Why do you suppose such a thing would be necessary?

Democrats assure us that illegal aliens are not voting because they are forbidden from doing so by law. So why would they be worried about ICE showing up at polling places? It just doesn’t make any sense.

Virginia Gov. Spanberger to sign order on dealing with federal agents at polling places

Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger said Tuesday that she plans to issue an executive order on Wednesday to help election workers respond if federal agents show up at polling sites in Virginia.

Speaking at a conference hosted by the Center for American Progress, a progressive think tank, Spanberger said the order would include details on “how Virginia state employees or people working in support of Virginia’s state-run elections can react to, in this particular case, federal agents who might be appearing at a location where the worry is that they’re principally there to intimidate or scare people.”

Some election officials and Democratic politicians have worried that President Donald Trump — who routinely makes false claims of widespread voter fraud — might interference in this year’s midterm elections, which are run by the state and local officials across the country.

“Throughout history, we have seen efforts at intimidating voters. My worry is that we will continue to see those heightened,” Spanberger said. “The reality is that the challenges and the fear that people might have when going to the polling place is real.”

The Pabst Brewing Company has announced that it is ceasing production of Schlitz Beer, which has been an American institution for 177 years.

If you were around in the 1970s, you know what a huge brand Schlitz was at the time. They undertook an aggressive advertising campaign, mostly on television and the brand grew by leaps and bounds. Millions of Americans drank Schlitz every single day.

It’s sad to see the end of such an iconic American brand.

The Pabst Brewing Co. has confirmed it is ceasing production of the iconic lager that has quenched the thirst of American beer drinkers for 177 years.

“Unfortunately, we have seen continued increases in our costs to store and ship certain products and have had to make the tough choice to place Schlitz Premium on hiatus,” Zac Nadile, Pabst head of brand strategy, said in a statement last month to Milwaukee Magazine.

That means other retro beer brands in what could be called the Pabst portfolio, like bottles of Blatz and Old Milwaukee, will also be harder to find, the magazine reported.

“Any brand or packaging configuration that is put on hiatus is still a cherished part of our history and hopefully our future,” Nadile said. “We continually look for opportunities to bring back beloved brands and customer feedback is important in shaping those discussions.”…

The Joseph Schlitz Brewing Co. was founded in 1849 by a German immigrant who took over a small Milwaukee brewery after marrying the widow of the original owner, August Krug — and renamed the business after himself.

While “The Beer that Made Milwaukee Famous” soon became the Schlitz slogan, it was actually the Great Chicago fire in 1871 that helped turn the brand into a national name, when word spread that the company had been shipping barrels of beer to aid the devastated Windy City.

If you have watched FOX News over the last decade, you are familiar with Johnny Joey Jones. He is a contributor who has appeared on multiple panels and programs, and sometimes is called in to host specials that have to do with the U.S. Military.

Jones lost both of his legs while serving as a U.S. Marine in Afghanistan. It’s easy to forget this because despite having two prosthetic legs, Jones can walk perfectly and rarely talks about his injuries.

He just reenlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Talk about a genuine American hero.

Fox News host Johnny “Joey” Jones reenlisted in the United States Marine Corps on Wednesday during a swearing-in ceremony at the Pentagon.

“The last job I had in uniform — my job was to get better. It was to heal. It’s a very selfish thing. My job was to heal. The Marine Corps paid me to get better, and then I retired. And there’s nothing wrong with that, but it was unfinished business,” Jones said at the ceremony.

Jones, a formerly-retired staff sergeant, served eight years in the Marine Corps and was deployed twice, suffering a life-changing injury while deployed in Afghanistan as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician. The 2010 IED-related incident resulted in the loss of both of his legs and severe damage to his right forearm and both wrists.

“If there’s an opportunity for me to serve, there’s no reason why a no-legged 40-year-old staff sergeant should be able to put the uniform on, other than these men believed it. And the goal here is to open that door for anyone else that has something left to give,” Jones told his military colleagues in the room.

Jones was joined by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who led the swearing-in ceremony at the Pentagon’s Hall of Heroes.

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina has introduced legislation designed to ban naturalized U.S. citizens from running for the House and Senate, and from holding any position that requires Senate approval.

Having something like this in place would have prevented people like Ilhan Omar, Pramala Jayapal and others from ever running in the first place.

This is long overdue. It’s the type of law that people just kind of assumed already existed but it doesn’t. Every single Republican should get on board with this.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) unveiled legislation Wednesday aiming to ban foreign-born US citizens from serving in Congress and other high levels of the federal government.

The South Carolina congresswoman singled out Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Shri Thanedar (D-Ill.) and Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) in announcing her joint resolution to add an amendment to the US Constitution that would prohibit naturalized US citizens from becoming federal judges, holding Senate-confirmed positions or serving in the House or Senate.

“All born in foreign countries, none were citizens by birth. All sitting in the United States Congress. All making clear every single day their loyalty is not to America,” Mace said of the trio of Democratic reps.

Mace noted the proposed amendment would impose the “very same standard the President and Vice President are already required to meet” on lawmakers and top government officials.

“The people writing America’s laws, confirming America’s judges, and representing America on the world stage should have one loyalty: America. Not any other country,” she argued.

“For too long we have allowed foreign born members to hold seats in this government while making clear they are America last, not America first,” Mace added. “We see it every day.

That should absolutely be the law. The whole idea that people can come here from other countries and get voted into office, often with massive numbers of immigrants from the countries they came from supporting them, is insane.
