Ken Paxton gives victory speech after clinching the Texas Republican Senate nomination – May 26, 2026

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton spoke to supporters on Tuesday after whooping RINO Senator John Cornyn in the Texas Senate Primary race.

Paxton smoked Cornyn, leading by nearly 30 points with 82.5% of the votes counted.

Ken Paxton wins the Texas primary with 64.1% of the votes, defeating incumbent John Cornyn, who received 35.9%.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Cornyn conceded early in the night, a little more than an hour after the polls closed across Texas.

Paxton will now face radical left Democrat James Talarico in the November general election.

While delivering his victory speech, Paxton took aim at Talarico, calling him "the most extreme radical the Democrats have ever nominated."

"He's even running a vegan campaign, whatever that is. He goes by a few names that you may all have heard of. Some people know him as Tofu Talarico; some people call him Six-Gender Jimmy. I've even heard some people call him James Talafreako, and others refer to him simply as Low T Talarico," Paxton said.

"But no matter what you call him, let me tell you this: James Talarico is a threat to everything we hold dear in this state and in this country. He's a threat to our security and our safety. He wants open borders and even said, 'a welcome mat should be at our southern border.' He's a threat to our children. He wants boys and girls sports, gender mutilation surgery performed on kids. And when asked what he loved outside of his family and friends, you heard what Brandon Gill said, his first answer was trans kids. That's weird, and that's a radical guy."

But perhaps most importantly to the Republican base —and over 80% of Americans —Paxton promised to be a voice for the Save America Act in the Senate.

"I'll support President Trump's America First agenda and finally secure our nation's elections by passing the Save America Act," he told the crowd, sparking massive applause.

Paxton: You see, I'm not just running against the Democrats, I'm running to deliver for you, just as I have as Attorney General. I'm running to lower your cost of living because you deserve to be able to buy a home, afford groceries, and have a high quality of health care without being forced to stay up at night worrying about how you're going to pay your monthly premium or pay off your debt.

In the Senate, I'll support President Trump's America First agenda and finally secure our nation's elections by passing the Save America Act.

Paxton also laid out his other priorities, including making America healthy again, protecting children from predatory transition surgeries, projecting American strength on the world stage, and stopping rogue judges from destroying our country.

In attendance at the victory party were several lawmakers and prominent conservatives, including Texas Reps. Brandon Gill, Lance Gooden, Troy Nehls, Wesley Hunt, Ronnie Jackson, and grassroots activist Scott Presler.

During a recent appearance on FOX News, Dan Bongino suggested that there are only two groups of people who are still Democrats. Wealthy Karens and the poor people who rely on government for handouts.

This is exactly where the Democrat party has been headed for years.

Democrats have gutted the middle of their party. Middle class voters, working class voters, basically everyone in between the super wealthy and the super poor is now more inclined to support the Republicans.

Dan also says that this is why you see a lot of Democrats cursing now, because they’re making a pathetic attempt to appeal to regular people in the middle.

BONGINO: “It’s clearly calculated because the Democrats have lost the middle class.”

“There are only two groups of people who are Democrats now. Only two.”

“There are the super rich Karens, who can be whatever they want, because it doesn’t matter, so they can live in the world of ideas…”

“And there is unfortunately really poor folks who have been given money by the Democrats, taking money from the super rich to pay them off.”

“They have lost the middle class completely.”

“So they think if they go out and do the Ruben Gallego and drop a few F bombs inauthentically, then all of a sudden a bunch of working class coal miners from West Virginia are going to clamor to vote Democrat again.”

“I don’t think it’s going work. I think it’s a really poor strategy.”

Bongino is not wrong about any of this.

In fact, don’t be surprised if the Democrats double down on this and increase this extreme divide in their party. It’s the obvious endgame of the Bernie/AOC/Mamdani wing of their party.

Xavier Becerra, the former Obama Biden lackey who is running for governor of California as a Democrat, wants the state to continue to provide free healthcare for illegals. Big surprise, right?

He confirmed this during a recent appearance on CNN.

The remarkable thing about the segment is that he admitted that illegals take jobs away from Americans, not just in farming, but in construction, healthcare and more.

You can tell from the smug look on his face that he thought he was being so clever about this.

Breitbart News reported:

Host Elex Michaelson said that Hilton “says he wants to take the undocumented off of healthcare rolls. Why do you want to keep them on there, and how much is that going to cost the state?”

Becerra answered, “He looks at them as people who don’t have documents. I look at them as hard workers. I look at them as people like my parents. I am the son of immigrants. To me, I want you to build, help me build California. If you’re working hard, I want you to have healthcare. I guess Steve Hilton doesn’t care if they work really hard. He looks at their status, and that’s about it.”

Michaelson then said, “Well, he says that they broke the law. And he says that he immigrated here legally and that spending money to give somebody healthcare is incentivizing bad behavior.”

Becerra responded, “He doesn’t seem to mind that the price of food is a little lower because these are the folks that are picking the crops. He doesn’t seem to mind that the places that you can buy to live in are places that these folks built. He doesn’t seem to mind that they’re the folks that are taking care of probably one of his relatives, probably taking care of his yards. He seems to mind that they don’t have documents, but he doesn’t seem to mind that they do so much of the work in California.”

California desperately needs a change in leadership. Becerra would simply be more of the same.

If Californians have any sense, they’ll elect Steve Hilton.

Amy Walter is a liberal political analyst you may have seen if you’ve ever tuned into PBS. She was a pretty regular contributor on FOX News for a while as well.

During some recent comments, Walter noted that the Democratic National Committee (DNC), is having a really hard time raising money but pointed out that they have an even bigger problem heading into the 2026 and 2028 elections.

Walter says that the main power the DNC has is setting primary dates, picking which states go first, and who gets party nominations. If the far left radicals think the DNC is not playing honest and doesn’t trust the decisions that are being made, this is a recipe for disaster for the Democrats.

Can’t you see where this is headed? Imagine a scenario where the base of the Democrat party wants AOC or someone like her and the party nominates Kamala Harris again. Something like this could totally happen, and it could completely fracture the left.

Amy Walter: “DNC has been having so much trouble raising money. They have been outraised by multiples… by the RNC. And here’s the thing. The financial throw weight of the party is not what it used to be back when I started doing this. They were everything. Now you have super PACs and billionaires that can fill that void.

What the DNC and the RNC can do, though, that makes them very important, they set up the rules for how you get nominated to be your party’s person to to to take the presidency. They set the dates for when we have primaries in which states go first, and they have the rules about the delegates.

If voters within the Democratic sphere and the activists in that Democratic sphere don’t trust the DNC to do this well, that is very dangerous going into 2028 — if people within the Democratic Party are fighting amongst themselves about how the process works.”

In case you haven’t noticed, the radical left doesn’t behave very well when they don’t get their way.

That’s what Walter is sounding the alarm on here, and it’s a very good point.

An American flag the size of a football field is going to be displayed on the Hoover Dam, along with red and blue lighting, as part of the America 250 celebrations this summer.

The Hoover Dam is a symbol of American ingenuity and our ability to get big jobs done, so it’s completely appropriate to include it in the celebration.

Also, Democrats will hate it, so that’s an added bonus.

Hoover Dam Adorned With Football Field-Sized American Flag Ahead of 250th Celebration

The Hoover Dam was adorned by a massive football field-sized American flag over Memorial Day weekend ahead of the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration.

Nevada and Arizona leaders came together to adorn the iconic landmark with a 300-foot-tall, 150-foot-wide flag during the road to America250 ceremony, making it one of the most ambitious patriotic displays ever attempted. The dam was also lit up with red, white, and blue lights at night as part of the dramatic installation.

“As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, Nevada is proud to help tell the story of innovation, exploration, and progress that shapes our nation, from Hoover Dam to our growing technology and infrastructure sectors to the world-class tourism industry,” Republican Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo said in a statement. “Nevada has always played an important role in American history.”

“For generations, Hoover Dam has stood as one of the greatest engineering achievements in American history. It represents determination, ingenuity, hard work, and the willingness of Americans to take on challenges that once seemed impossible.”…

The flag itself was a huge undertaking, weighing roughly 2,000 pounds and over 500 pounds of sewing material added to reinforce the display. Hundreds of rings were welded onto the flag, requiring five days of preparatory sewing before installation.

If you have ever considered visiting the Hoover Dam, now would be a good time.

The 250th is going to be amazing!
