UK officials reportedly targeted by Electronic Warfare.

The risk of flying over the Baltic countries near the Russian border is ongoing, as the Electronic Warfare (EW) can interfere with the proper functioning of aircraft.

Last week, an RAF jet that was carrying the British Defense Secretary is believed to have had its signals jammed by Russian forces.

An RAF jet carrying UK defence secretary John Healey had its GPS signal jammed for the full three-hour flight home from Estonia, near the Russian border.

Russia is suspected of being behind the electronic interference.

The Telegraph reported:

“John Healey had been visiting British soldiers in Estonia and was travelling back to the UK when the electronic attack happened on Thursday.

The jet was flying near the Russian border at the time.

Smartphones and laptops were unable to connect to the internet and pilots had to use a different navigation system because the plane’s GPS was disabled for the entire three-hour flight.”

British authorities stated that Russia was behind the incident. So far, it’s unclear if Secretary Healey was deliberately targeted.

“Passengers, who included photographers and a reporter, were told that the Dassault Falcon 900LX aircraft could still operate safely.

A defense source said: ‘This is reckless Russian interference, but the RAF is well prepared to deal with this activity’.”

Back in March 2024, Russia was also accused of jamming the GPS signal on an RAF Dassault Falcon 900LX plane carrying then-UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps as he returned from Poland and was flying over the Baltic Sea, close to the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad.

2026 Memorial Day Message…The Power of a Beanie Baby!

A SINGLE ACT OF KINDNESS…

While our son served in the military, I volunteered some time with Packages From Home, an organization sending boxes to our military overseas. I thought that in the next packages from home, I would send to the soldiers some little things for children impacted by the war, including those who had just been robbed of their moms and/or dads.

A young soldier, having received a box from me sharing all his goodies with his barracks, found a Beanie Baby he pushed off to the side, as he continued to rifle through the rest of the contents.  Somehow this Beanie Baby made its way into his military backpack with my note attached to it, “A single act of kindness from one to another.”

What would happen next, could only have been through DIVINE INTERVENTION, as I read the note back from the soldier that received my package…

This was his response to me…

“…Last week I was on a convoy of 7 Hummers.  As we were making our way through the rubble on a busy mountainous highway, our convoy began slowing down and finally reached a complete stop in the middle of the road.”

“The soldiers in the first Hummer just ahead of me got out to survey the problem, finding a little girl of about 8 or 9 years old sitting in the middle of the road.  Knowing that they could not touch the little girl, they tried speaking to her, hand movements, and acting out situations trying to get the little girl to move off the road.  When realizing that their efforts were not resolved, they proceeded slowly driving around the child, not to come too close to her and not going off the cliff on the other side.”

“As our vehicle approached, I stood up in the Hummer to survey the problem.  I jumped up and out of the vehicle, told my troop that I thought I recognized the little girl and for them to stay behind.  She was the young girl I had given the Beanie Baby to a week earlier as she lay next to her family who had just been gunned down.  ’I wonder if she will remember me?’ I said to my Commanding Officer (CO).  I was given permission to approach her slowly.”

“As I started walking toward her, her face turned from a frozen stare to a huge smile, as she ran up to me and hugged me.  Grabbing my hand with one of hers and clutching the Beanie Baby in her other hand, we walked toward where she had been sitting.  I looked down to the road as the little girl pointed to an object that she had been protecting.”

“In the center of the road was a land mine that would have exploded upon contact.”

“That day, because an unknown lady [me], putting a little Beanie Baby into a box through an act of kindness to an unknown soldier, and then by sharing that little Beanie Baby to an unknown child, about 49 lives were saved and countless lives preceding that day; along with the sorrows and griefs of many more unknown families.”

From a patriotic mother in the U.S. to a brave soldier overseas; a toy finds a new home in the hands of a lonely child halfway around the world.  Is this all it takes for a little kindness to be shared?  No words, no pictures, no amount of money can share the emotions that were shared and the lives that were saved that day.

As a mother of a son who was in the military, who had returned from tours in A-Stan, Turkey, London, and Iraq, I know that there are many brave service men and women who have given their lives unselfishly to protect us and protect the sovereignty of this Nation.

“On this Memorial Day Weekend, may we also remember the families left behind — the empty chairs at dinner tables, the folded flags held tightly in trembling hands, the children who grew up missing a parent, and the husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters whose hearts were forever changed by sacrifice.

For while we honor those who gave their lives for this Nation, we must also honor the love they left behind. Memorial Day is not only about remembrance… it is about gratitude, compassion, unity, and never allowing their sacrifice to be forgotten.”

Freedom does not come free or from handouts; it is earned by those who give of themselves, believe in what our Founding Fathers left for us, and still believe in our Constitution today.  What better way to show our respect, kindness, and appreciation to all our First Responders, including the military, than to honor all of them with prayers and thanksgiving for their worthy accomplishments…

It’s so true that Big Things can come from Small Packages – even a Beanie Baby.

France’s Justice Minister has called for a sweeping three-year halt to immigration, warning that the country has reached a breaking point after decades of mass migration.

Gérald Darmanin, a senior figure in President Emmanuel Macron’s government and a likely contender in next year’s presidential election, said France no longer has the capacity to properly integrate new arrivals.

“We have reached the limit of our capacities for integration and assimilation,” Darmanin said in an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche. 

”So I now have a very strong conviction: we must put an end to immigration as it is today.”

”This is why I am proposing a three-year moratorium on legal immigration.

The comments mark one of the starkest admissions yet from a senior member of the French establishment over the scale of the migration crisis.

Darmanin also called for tougher deportation enforcement.

“Let’s put a stop to immigration, let’s expel those who must be expelled by conditioning visas on the acceptance of deportation orders, and let’s work on the assimilation of those who are on the national territory.”

He also proposed ending automatic family reunification pathways and replacing them with strict annual visa quotas based on labor needs and country of origin.

Darmanin said many migrants lack “respect for the values” of France and blamed business interests for encouraging mass migration to suppress wages.

“Many difficult jobs are now reserved for foreign workers,” he remarked.

The comments come as immigration is expected to dominate France’s 2027 presidential race after decades of mass migration.

Opponents have dismissed Darmanin’s remarks as political posturing, noting that the current French establishment bears significant responsibility for the country’s immigration policies.

Darmanin is widely expected to seek the presidency under President Emmanuel Macron’s Renaissance banner.

A recent study by France’s National Institute of Demographic Studies found that by 2020, roughly one in three people in France were either immigrants or the children of immigrants.

Polling also suggests, as in the United States, that migration policy can significantly reshape electoral politics.

An Ifop survey found that 40 percent of voters with two non-European parents intend to back far-left candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon, with that figure rising to 51 percent among Muslim voters.

A dramatic collapse in H-1B visa applications is being hailed as long-overdue proof that one of the most controversial pipelines of foreign labor into the United States is finally being brought under control.

According to the reports, new data from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) shows a 38.5 percent drop in properly submitted H-1B registrations for the 2027 fiscal year.

Applications fell from 343,981 to just 211,600 in a single year. The sharp decline marks one of the most significant resets in the program’s history.

For years, many have warned that the system had spiraled out of control. Instead of targeting elite global talent, it had increasingly been used as a high-volume labor pipeline.

Large corporations were accused of gaming the system. By flooding it with applications, they were able to secure cheaper labor while bypassing younger, educated American workers.

The Trump administration moved to shut that model down. It imposed higher wage requirements and significantly increased application costs.

The result appears immediate. Mass, low-quality applications have dropped off sharply.

USCIS framed the numbers as a turning point. “The days of abusing the program with mass, low-wage registrations are over,” the agency said.

Officials say the reforms are restoring the original purpose of the program. That includes protecting American wages and ensuring fair competition in the labor market.

The shift is also visible in who is being selected. The profile of successful applicants is changing significantly.

A larger share now holds advanced degrees. According to USCIS, 71.5 percent of selected applicants have U.S. master’s degrees or higher.

At the same time, lower-wage approvals have dropped. Only 17.7 percent of approvals now fall into the lowest wage category.

This is a major correction for critics of the old system. It suggests that the era of using the visa program to suppress wages is beginning to close.

Some, however, are arguing the changes do not go far enough. The underlying structure of the program remains intact.

At its core, the H-1B system still allows companies to look abroad before fully exhausting domestic talent. That principle continues to draw criticism, and is likely to continue to.

The issue has become especially sensitive in the tech sector. Layoffs have hit American workers even as companies continue to seek foreign hires.

That contradiction is difficult to ignore. It raises key questions about fairness in the labor market.

Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies has taken a hard line. He argues that incremental reform is not enough.

“Only the real solution is to abolish the H-1B program,” Krikorian asserted.

That view is gaining traction. The argument is straightforward: a system that can be abused at scale may not be fixable.

Others are pushing for further tightening rather than elimination. One proposal is to replace the lottery system entirely.

Connor O’Brien of the Institute for Progress has suggested a salary-based ranking system. The idea is to prioritize the highest-paid, most specialized roles.

Such a system would significantly reduce incentives for low-cost labor substitution. It would also align the program more closely with its stated purpose.

Public sentiment appears to be shifting as well. Many Americans increasingly view the H-1B system with great skepticism.

The perception that foreign labor is being prioritized over domestic workers has fueled broader debates. These debates extend beyond economics into questions of national policy.

The administration has presented its reforms as part of a broader effort, with the goal being to rebalance the labor market in favor of American workers.

By raising costs and tightening standards, the system is becoming less accessible for bulk applications. That alone may reshape employer behavior.

At the same time, uncertainty remains. It is unclear whether companies will adapt or seek alternative pathways.

The next application cycle will be closely watched. It will provide further insight into whether the decline is sustained.
