Iranian mouthpiece Mahmoud Nabavian, deputy chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, recently called for President Trump’s assassination on X.

Nabavian recently threatened Arab leaders for their role in siding against the evil Iranian regime and threatened to “kill the despots and have their palaces destroyed.”

But, Nabavian was not finished. Earlier this week the Iranian spokesman called for a “significant reward” for anyone who kills US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Iranian lawmaker Mahmoud Nabavian said on Monday that parliament would soon consider a “significant reward” for anyone who kills US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in response to what he called renewed threats against Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

Of course, this is not the first Iranian assassination threat against Trump.

In fact, in August 2024, long before the current Iran War, a Pakistani national with ties to Iran was charged with murder-for-hire in a foiled attempt on President Trump’s life.

A federal complaint unsealed on Tuesday in Brooklyn has charged Asif Merchant, also known as “Asif Raza Merchant,” a 46-year-old Pakistani national, with murder-for-hire in connection with a foiled assassination plot targeting a politician or U.S. government officials on American soil.

The plot was thwarted by law enforcement before any attack could be executed. Merchant is currently in federal custody in New York, according to the press release.

FBI investigators believe that the intended targets of the plot included Trump and other current and former U.S. government officials, according to a U.S. official briefed on the matter, per CNN.

According to court documents, Merchant orchestrated a plot to assassinate a politician or U.S. government officials on U.S. soil. In approximately April 2024, after spending time in Iran, Merchant arrived in the United States from Pakistan and contacted a person he believed could assist him with the scheme. This individual reported Merchant’s intentions to law enforcement and became a confidential source (CS).

In early June, during a meeting with the CS, Merchant outlined his assassination plot and indicated that this opportunity would not be a one-time event. He made a gesture resembling a gun with his hand while discussing the killing and specified that the targets would be “here,” referring to the United States.

Merchant’s plan included various criminal activities: stealing documents from a target’s residence, organizing protests, and ultimately assassinating a political figure or government official. He expressed concerns about security measures surrounding potential targets and discussed multiple scenarios for carrying out the assassination.

In mid-June, Merchant met with individuals he believed were hitmen but were actually undercover FBI agents (UCs). During these meetings, he sought their services for theft and assassination and indicated that he would provide instructions on whom to kill after leaving the U.S.

Merchant arranged to pay $5,000 in cash as an advance for the assassination services and successfully delivered this payment on June 21. Following this transaction, he made plans to leave the country on July 12, 2024, one day before Trump’s assassination attempt. However, law enforcement intervened and arrested him before he could depart.

It can be recalled that CNN reported that the Trump campaign was made aware of an Iranian assassination plot against Trump before the infamous rally in Butler, Pennsylvania in 2024. Trump was shot and nearly assassinated by Thomas Crooks who, authorities said, had not connection with Iran.

In 2022, former Supreme leader and Ayatollah Khamenei released a video on his website depicting the assassination of President Donald Trump.

Khamenei was later killed in launch of the Iran War along with dozens of top Iranian officials.

Since the birth of our Nation nearly 250 years ago, countless souls have lost their lives in this noble and righteous pursuit. On Memorial Day, we honor these American heroes.

America endures in strength, power, and prosperity because of the awe-inspiring selflessness and valor of those in uniform willing to lay down their lives in its defense. From the frozen fields of Valley Forge and the beaches of Normandy to the jungles of Vietnam and the mountains of Afghanistan, the sacrifice across our Armed Forces is the foundation upon which our Republic stands. Today, we especially remember the 13 members of the Joint Force who have fallen in support of Operation Epic Fury to defend our national security and preserve the blessings of liberty for future generations. It’s easy to find people on the streets of any major dark-blue metropolis who say they sympathize with the people of the Gaza Strip. It’s a bit harder, but still far too easy, to find people who will openly sympathize with the political faction and terrorist organization that runs Gaza.

Almost all of them aren’t Palestinians, so they don’t necessarily know what’s at stake or what they’re cosigning. Very well, a group of performance artists said: If you don’t know what you’re supporting, we’ll trick you into watching it.

In a viral video originally posted by Israeli social media advocacy organization Let’s Do Something, two men present themselves as being supportive of the Gazan cause, with one saying he’s recently been in the Middle East.

He plays the act completely straight — keffiyeh done just right and everything. He’d have won any Halloween costume competition if it were the fall, but we’ve still got five months before that. But I digress.

The two men find New Yorkers who say they sympathize with the plight of the Gazan people — again, not a difficult task.

But the man then shows the Gaza supporters what Hamas was really doing to innocent humans on Oct. 7, 2023. In one of the milder, less grim moments in the telling footage, he says they have a saying in Arabic that doesn’t translate precisely to English: “We have a fascination with decapitation.”

The video has to be seen to be believed — and seen it was after it first went viral on Instagram and later on X thanks to an account called Mossad Commentary, which posted it this week:

I’m not sure what’s worse: The fact that it took them so long to turn or that they seemed, at least after the editing was done, to feel sorrier for the dog than for the Israelis.

Even if they didn’t voice it prior, however, it was clear all of these individuals were quite uncomfortable with what they had just effectively cosigned, morally.

Rape, torture, slaughter, gleeful genocide.

Yet, force them — or at least cajole them in a way that makes it impossible to back out — to confront the evil that is Hamas and the Islamist cause, they cringe and turn away, even walk away. And if it left them changed, it should have done that. But I’m not holding my breath on that count.

What’s genuinely most shocking, though — and the whole reason this is so brilliant in its unnerving nature — is that this was genuinely shocking to these fools who seemed so confident about the perfidies of the Jewish state and the moral rectitude of Islamist villains.

The fact that Israel — the Middle Eastern nation whose values most closely align with ours — is considered the aggressor for protecting themselves against rapists and murderers, by sanguinary scum who claim their behavior is a moral imperative under the banner of their prophet or their ambitions to spread this horror from the river to the sea, that’s something that’s beyond belief.

So beyond belief, in fact, that the people who say they believe it flinch when confronted with video evidence of what Hamas exported outside the Gaza Strip to innocent Israeli men and women. They just walk away. With a lesson about their assumptions, only God knows.

As with so much on this vale of tears, one can only pray this was the dawning of wisdom, not reflexive narrative preservation.

MSNOW spent Sunday evening proving once again how far the left is willing to drag politics into every corner of American life—including college football.

The segment focused on the NAACP’s new “Out of Bounds” campaign, which urges black athletes and fans to boycott SEC schools in Southern states because of redistricting fights. 

The argument, according to the network’s framing, is that Southern states are “profiting” from black athletes while supposedly weakening black political power through congressional maps.

In other words, the left’s newest idea is to tell young black athletes to reconsider where they play college sports because state lawmakers are drawing political districts in a way Democrats dislike.

During the segment, MSNOW brought on Jamele Hill, a contributing writer for The Atlantic, to discuss whether the movement could become real pressure rather than symbolic outreach. Hill argued that the campaign would not need most athletes to participate. 

She suggested that even three to five, or perhaps 10 players, refusing to attend targeted schools could encourage others to follow.

The NAACP’s plan, according to Hill, does not stop with athletes. Fans would be encouraged not to buy tickets, not to purchase merchandise, and to pull donor support. 

Alumni would also be pressured to stop giving money and stop allowing schools to use them to recruit future athletes.

The entire premise is absurd.

College athletes choose schools based on scholarships, coaching, facilities, playing time, academics, exposure, and future career opportunities. A high school athlete trying to build a future should not be turned into a political weapon because activists are angry over redistricting.

The left’s argument is especially dishonest because the redistricting debate is being framed almost entirely through race. 

Democrats and their allies often defend race-based districting when the result helps their political power, then accuse Republicans of “disenfranchisement” when maps are drawn without protecting Democrat seats. 

Redistricting is a political process. People can oppose gerrymandering on principle, but pretending every Republican map is an attack on black voters is exactly how the left has drained meaning from serious civil rights language.

MSNOW’s segment went even further by comparing this sports boycott campaign to the civil rights movement. 

Hill referenced young activists, the Montgomery bus boycott, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as if a modern dispute over congressional district lines belongs in the same category as segregation.

That comparison is not only ridiculous; it shows how disconnected the modern left has become from reality.

College football is not a state legislature. SEC athletes are not responsible for congressional maps. Fans buying a jersey at LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia, or another Southern school are not endorsing every decision made by lawmakers in that state.

The left has already tried to politicize women’s sports by demanding that men be allowed to compete against women. Now activists want to politicize college football recruiting because they lost redistricting fights.

This is why so many Americans are exhausted by the left’s constant activism. Nothing is allowed to remain normal. Sports cannot simply be sports. College athletes cannot simply be students. Every institution must become another battlefield for the Democrat Party’s political agenda.

The NAACP and MSNOW can call this “pressure” if they want. Most Americans will see it for what it is: another attempt to punish ordinary people, young athletes, fans, schools, and students over a political fight that has nothing to do with them.

Reality TV star, turned Los Angeles mayoral candidate, Spencer Pratt came out with a new ingenious way to advertise his campaign to make Los Angeles clean again and turn out voters to the polls in November. 

Instead of putting up expensive signage and campaign ads, Pratt is taking his campaign straight to the street– literally.

Using power washers, Pratt’s team has been clearing grime from Los Angeles sidewalks with a stencil featuring his campaign logo and a message for citizens. “IMAGINE IF THE STREETS WERE THIS CLEAN,” the creative signs read.

Maybe this will force incumbent Democrat Karen Bass to have the sidewalks cleaned for once! Either way, it’s a win-win.

Pratt shared a clip on Facebook, writing, “It’s time to think bigger for LA. We don’t have to accept the filth and the decline. We have the greatest slice of heaven on Earth with our city, and we deserve better. Vote for Pratt. Vote for LA. Vote TODAY. Let’s clean this city together.”

In another clip, a woman is seen sweeping the streets and raving about how great Pratt is to replace Karen Bass.

“The corrupt Karen Bass came after me,” she said. I’m an activist. She sent her little goons after me!”

Pratt shared the clip to his X page, writing, “It’s time to think bigger for LA. We don’t have to accept the filth and the decline. We have the greatest slice of heaven on Earth with our city, and we deserve better. Vote for Pratt. Vote for LA. Vote TODAY. Let’s clean this city together.”
