Seven Afghan migrants have been charged with rape, child sexual abuse, and human trafficking offenses as part of a major police investigation into alleged grooming gang activity in Norwich.

Norfolk Police said the men are accused of offenses committed between August 2023 and May 2025 against two alleged victims, both girls in their early to mid-teens at the time.

All seven suspects entered the UK illegally or attempted to do so.

According to the force, five arrived by small boat, one entered concealed in a lorry, and the seventh attempted clandestine entry through Portsmouth ferry port.

The men appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Friday and were remanded in custody ahead of a plea hearing at Norwich Crown Court on June 19.

Jamil Khalil, 20, is charged with seven counts of rape, one count of human trafficking, and conspiracy to commit child sexual abuse.

Ahmadin Ahmadzai, 21, faces nine rape charges, human trafficking, conspiracy to commit child sexual abuse, and perverting the course of justice.

Qais Kaker, 20, is charged with four counts of rape, human trafficking, conspiracy offences, and perverting the course of justice.

Fazal Auryakhel, 20, faces one rape charge. Mohammed Farooq Sinwary, 23, is charged with two counts of rape.

Ali Ahamad, 21, faces one rape charge and three human trafficking charges.

Who knew that men from a culture that sells their child daughters as sex slaves would be inclined to commit such heinous atrocities?

Sayed Wahid Daviodzai, 20, is charged with four counts of rape and conspiracy to commit child sexual abuse.

Police carried out coordinated raids at seven properties on Wednesday, six in Norwich and one in Dumbarton, Scotland.

An eighth suspect, a 19-year-old man, was arrested in Ireland by Gardaí on Friday, with legal proceedings underway to return him to the UK.

Superintendent Craig Miller said: “I know this news will be shocking to our communities.”

Police said none of the suspects had lived in asylum hotels in Norfolk, and none of the alleged offences took place in asylum accommodation.

The investigation began in September 2023 after a disclosure from one of the alleged victims.

All defendants remain in custody. Criminal proceedings are ongoing.

All Ezra Jin wanted to do was to preach the gospel. It worked, as the gospel tends to.

Unfortunately for the Chinese Communist Party, it worked far too well. See, Jin refused to give the state control over his flock, which the country requires. For a while, they tolerated him and his unsanctioned church.

That’s why he’s been jailed since October. It’s also why prominent Western leaders — including President Donald Trump — are telling Xi Jinping to back off.

Not that it’s hurting Jin any, eternally speaking. Physically, of course, things are much more grim. But the worst news, in the long run, should be for the Chinese government.

Yes, seriously. Because him being behind bars hasn’t halted the growth of his church.

First, the quick facts on Jin for those unfamiliar with the face of modern Christian persecution: Born in 1969, Jin was a student at China’s most elite school, Peking University, during the government’s crackdown in Tiananmen Square, leading to him questioning the meaning of life.

He then, according to The Wall Street Journal, “began to realize these Christians were different… they had God and a home they could sometimes return to, and they could be sure God loved them.”

While he originally went through seminary in China and preached in the state-surveilled churches — which mix Christianity with the Communist Party’s principles — he left in 2002 and enrolled at Fuller Theological Seminary in the United States.

In 2007, he founded the Zion Church of Beijing: “From a congregation of around 20, Zion grew to more than 1,500 over the next decade, making it one of the largest unsanctioned churches in Beijing,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

During China’s boom years, these congregations posed little issue for the ruling authorities. Those boom years are over, and Chinese President Xi Jinping has included cracking down on unapproved churches as part of his panopticon state.

However, in the United States, Jin’s case has received the kind of attention that Xinhua (or, for that matter, the BBC or CNN International, to the extent those three could even be told apart) would never give him.

Grace Jin Drexel, his daughter, has been trying to free her dad, who was one of more than 30 leaders summarily detained last October. It was a culmination of a battle that has taken the better part of a decade, including the government demanding the church install two dozen surveillance cameras so that the congregants’ activities could be checked.

It still grew from a congregation of 20 to more than 1,500.

“To him, Christianity really like changed his life,” Grace, a U.S. citizen, said to Freedom House.

“He was the generation of students during the 1989 Tiananmen Square protest, and so at that time, the whole generation — many of them — just had completely lost faith in their future. And for him, he found hope and love and freedom in Christ.”

In addition to the usual privations of prison, Jin also suffers from Type 2 diabetes and other health conditions, for which he’s receiving predictably little treatment.

And when he was in good health, it wasn’t as if China was allowing him freedom, either.

“He has missed my wedding. He has missed my brother’s graduations. And my mom’s graduation,” Grace said, according to the George W. Bush Institute.

“The birth of my two children… I would really love for my father to meet his grandchildren in person.”

However, he does have some powerful advocates, including President Donald Trump.

“I’ve heard about it. I will certainly look into it,” Trump told reporters before his China trip, according to The National Desk. “I’ll bring it up. I’ve gotten a lot of people out of a lot of countries including China.”

Grace was more direct: “As a daughter, I just want my father back,” she told The National Desk.

And that would be excellent — but better still is the fact that Ezra Jin is a man who will not be bowed nor broken by communists, for he knows Jesus is his Savior.

According to The Wall Street Journal, fellow Zion Church Pastor Sean Long asked him what would come to pass if the worst-case scenario happened and they were all thrown behind bars. “Hallelujah,” Jin said, according to Long. “A new wave of revival will follow.”

“It’s the highest honor for a Christian, for people like Pastor Jin, being put in prison,” Long told The Wall Street Journal. “That’s exactly the mark of following Jesus.”

Amen. As Jesus said, “For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.”

Jail beats hell by a wide margin, naturally, but to be in a place where those are the choices is proof that evil forces are indeed afoot and know what they’re doing.

The good news? They don’t win. Not in heaven, certainly, and not on the earth, either.

Jail believers like Ezra Jin, and watch their impact grow. More importantly, watch the legitimacy of the CCP-run church system diminish instantaneously.

What the CCP meant for evil, God meant for good. Not that there was any doubt, but it’s nice to see eternal cause-and-effect work on the earthly side, as well.

As early church apologist Tertullian put it, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.” More than 18 centuries since he said it (give or take), that remains harsh but true.

We are not called to easy lives as Christians. Most of us are called to quiet lives of difficulty. Ezra Jin’s isn’t a quiet one, but it’s also exponentially more difficult than we can imagine in the free world.

Ezra Jin is less concerned about dangers to his body than to his soul — and Beijing apparatchiks can’t even get around to acknowledging its reality.

In April, New York City’s new Democratic Socialist (communist) Mayor Zohran Mamdani, claimed that the city was facing a ‘historic’ budget crisis.

Now, he wants to spend $4.2 billion on services for the homeless. So which is it? Does a city in a budget crisis have that kind of cash to spend on homeless services?

Also, does anyone believe there will be any drop in the number of homeless people after he does this? The number could actually go up as a result once it becomes known that the city has money to burn on this.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani plans to spend more money on homeless services next year than his predecessor Eric Adams did during the height of the city’s migrant crisis — proposing a $4.2 billion budget for the agency in 2027.

Mamdani’s plan was rolled out in his latest budget proposal last week, which sought to hike the Department of Homeless Services’ budget by $700 million, from $3.5 billion for 2026 to the towering $4.2 billion sum.

That would be $100 million more than the $4.1 billion budget DHS hit in 2024, at the height of the migrant crisis when the city’s shelter system was housing a peak of about 69,000 asylum seekers.

Then-Mayor Adams had budgeted $2.4 billion for DHS in 2023 — but that number ended up rising to $3.5 billion as the new arrivals ramped up , straining the city system.

More than 230,000 asylum seekers ended up cycling through the Big Apple during the crisis, which began in the spring of 2022. The homeless services department budget was $2.3 billion that year, the first of Adams’ tenure.

In case you haven’t noticed, Democrats and their media allies are pulling out all the stops to drag Maine senate candidate Graham Platner across the finish line.

After spending years calling Trump ‘Hitler’ and his supporters ‘Nazis’ the Democrats are now tying themselves into knots trying to defend a guy who had an actual Nazi symbol tattooed on his chest for years, and then only covering it up with another tattoo now that he is running for office.

Platner has also come under fire for online comments in which he disparaged women, black people, gays, rape victims, and even veterans. The guy is a walking disaster area.

And yet, Time Magazine just put him on their cover.

Time magazine is drawing criticism for its cover story on controversial Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner.

Time’s upcoming June 8 issue features a photo of Platner, a Democrat running in Maine’s Senate primary, on its new cover with the headline, “Party Crasher: The rise of scandal-plagued Democrat Graham Platner.”

In a post to X, Time wrote, “TIME’s new cover: Even in this antiestablishment political moment, Graham Platner’s rise has been remarkable. His candidacy is forcing the party to come to terms with what it’s willing to risk in exchange for a fighter.”

Platner has faced several controversies including revelations he had a tattoo widely recognized as a Nazi symbol. In newly surfaced deleted posts attributed to Platner’s previous Reddit account, he also allegedly made vulgar sexual comments, described himself as a “communist” and “socialist” and mocked a Purple Heart U.S. soldier that was nearly killed in combat.

Democrats are furious about the long awaited 2024 election autopsy report. DNC Chair Ken Martin slow walked releasing the report for months and when it finally came out this week, no one on the left was happy about it.

They’re angry about how long it took to release it. They’re angry about what it says, and they’re angry about what it doesn’t say.

Amazingly, the report completely avoids some of the issues that crushed the Democrats, issues that were extremely important to voters, like the border and immigration, trans people in sports and locker rooms, and trans procedures for kids, just to name a few.

Now they want Martin out as a result.

Dems Calling for DNC Chair to Resign Following Release of 2024 Election Autopsy

Members of Congress are calling for the party’s Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair Ken Martin to resign following the release of the DNC’s 2024 election autopsy on Thursday.

The comments by critical Democratic house members, quoted by Axios, were blunt:

“He should resign,” Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) cited to Axios “his lack of leadership,” saying it is “utterly nuts it took us this long to release the autopsy.”

Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wisc.) said in response to a caller on a radio who argued Martin should be replaced, said, “I agree. … Having what we have right now is not doing it.”

Rep. Marc Veasey (D-Texas) told one news outlet that “there doesn’t seem to be a plan to turn things around and the clock is ticking … I believe it’s time for him to move on.”

Further motivating the disfavor are the “DNC’s anemic fundraising numbers compared to its GOP counterpart,” according to Axios.

Dan Pfeiffer, a political commentator and former top Obama adviser, said Martin is “not the right person to lead the DNC at this time.” Danielle Butterfield, the executive director of Priorities USA, a progressive super PAC, said Martin is “preventing us from moving forward.”

“It’s pretty damning that instead of actually talking about the substance of the report, we’re just talking about whether or not Ken Martin should resign,” Butterfield said.

Some Democrats are using the report to bash Joe Biden, blaming him for Kamala’s 2024 loss.

While it is true that Joe Biden didn’t help Kamala’s chances, her loss is totally on her. She was an absolutely terrible candidate who couldn’t form complete sentences.
