Sturgeon insists she knew nothing of her husband’s crimes.

Today (23), former Scottish National Party chief executive Peter Murrell was sentenced to over five years in prison.

The estranged husband of former Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon admitted embezzling more than $540,000 of SNP party funds to buy luxury items such as cars and a motorhome.

Reuters reported:

“Murrell, 61, is the estranged husband of ex-SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon, who suddenly resigned in 2023, shortly before she was arrested as part of the probe into the party’s finances. She was cleared of wrongdoing in March last year.

He pleaded guilty last month to embezzling £400,310 from the SNP between 2010 and 2023, using the money to buy several vehicles, as well as items from luxury brands such as Estee Lauder and Harrods. He was jailed for five years and three months at Edinburgh High Court on Tuesday.”

The judge said Murrell’s actions ‘involved a significant breach of trust to the organization’ that he led.

“This was a calculated crime of dishonesty. Let me make it clear to you, one factor in the sentence which I impose today will be to act as ‌a deterrent to any senior officials in other large organizations who might be tempted to abuse their position in the way you did.”

Sturgeon insisted she was innocent, saying she had ‘no knowledge or suspicion whatsoever that he was using SNP funds for personal purposes’.

“Sturgeon said she had not spotted the large motorhome, which cost £124,550, parked outside her mother-in-law’s house when they went to visit.”

Politico reported:

“The manner of embezzlement, although not particularly sophisticated, included the fabrication of invoices, and you gave false information to junior members of staff to then put into the accounting system,” [Judge Andrew Young] added.

[…] John Scullion, Murrell’s lawyer, said his client is ‘overwhelmed by feelings of embarrassment and shame’.

Murrell was led away from the court in handcuffs after hearing his sentence.”

Elizabeth Warren’s Healthcare Power Grab Will Put Investors in Prison & Destroy Free Markets (VIDEO)

Senator Elizabeth Warren passionately discusses the impact of investor actions on rural hospitals, emphasizing the urgent need for reform in healthcare funding.

Elizabeth Warren is at it again.

The Massachusetts senator is pushing legislation that should alarm anyone who believes in free markets, private investment, and access to healthcare. Most importantly, it should concern patients.

Warren’s so-called “Stop Corporate Crimes Against Healthcare Act” is being marketed as a way to protect Americans from corporate abuse. In reality, it threatens private investment and could accelerate hospital closures, particularly in rural communities.

The most troubling part of the bill is simple: prison.

Warren wants new criminal penalties for healthcare executives and investors based on government determinations about business decisions. The legislation would also allow officials to claw back compensation years after the fact.

Think about that.

Invest in healthcare and you could become the next political target.

That’s not accountability. That’s intimidation.

What’s especially troubling is that Warren repeatedly conflates private equity firms with Real Estate Investment Trusts, known as REITs.

The two are not the same.

Private equity firms buy and manage companies. REITs own real estate.

In healthcare, REITs often purchase hospital properties and lease them back to operators. This allows hospitals to unlock capital tied up in real estate and reinvest it into patient care, equipment, technology, and expansion.

REITs don’t run hospitals.

They don’t hire doctors.

They don’t fire nurses.

They don’t make patient care decisions.

They own buildings and provide capital.

For decades, this financing model has helped hospitals remain open and expand services. It is widely used throughout the American economy.

Yet Warren wants Americans to believe these property owners are responsible for healthcare’s problems.

The reality is that many hospitals depend on outside investment to survive.

If investors believe they could face prison, asset seizures, or political persecution, they will stop investing.

Capital dries up.

Projects stop.

Services disappear.

Hospitals close.

The communities hit hardest will be rural America.

Patients will travel farther for care.

Emergency services become less accessible.

Healthcare deserts expand.

Ironically, the very people Warren claims to be helping could become the biggest victims of her legislation.

What Warren ignores is the real crisis facing healthcare.

The system is drowning in waste, fraud, abuse, and unsustainable government spending.

Billions of taxpayer dollars disappear into bloated bureaucracies every year while politicians promise more benefits and more programs without meaningful reform.

Instead of fixing the problems government helped create, Warren is searching for a scapegoat.

That scapegoat is private investment.  And that should concern every American.Because when politicians start threatening prison for legal business activity, investors leave.

When investors leave, hospitals lose access to capital.

When capital disappears, services disappear.

And when services disappear, patients pay the price.

This bill isn’t really about protecting patients.  It’s about expanding government power.

Like so many progressive proposals before it, the goal is more regulation, more bureaucracy, and more control concentrated in Washington.

The result won’t be better healthcare.  It will be fewer hospitals, fewer choices, and fewer options for the communities that need healthcare the most.

That is why Elizabeth Warren’s latest healthcare proposal is so dangerous.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier blasted Major League Baseball on Tuesday morning after Commissioner Robert Manfred doubled down on its restriction of faith messages on team uniforms.

Uthmeier announced a formal probe into the MLB and issued a subpoena last week after San Francisco Giants pitchers were threatened for wearing Bible verses on their Pride Night hats. The MLB is also under investigation by the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Major League Baseball Commissioner Robert Manfred responded to a letter from Senator Josh Hawley, saying that “the players were neither fined nor disciplined, nor will they ever be.”

Hawley celebrated a win, falsely claiming Manfred “admits they were wrong to threaten the Giants players over Bible verses and promises never to fine or discipline these players – or any players for their religious beliefs.” But he ignored what Manfred actually wrote.

There was no mea culpa. Instead, he blamed a “lapse in communication” for the players wearing Bible verses on their hats, while still maintaining it was a violation of MLB rules. Manfred said, “The players were neither fined nor disciplined, nor will they ever be,” with reference to the one incident.

However, he made it clear that they will be punished for taking future stands, while admitting that the MLB engages in content-based restrictions on speech, permitting exceptions to its rules for pro-gay-pride alterations to uniforms but drawing a line at faith-based alterations.

While clubs are “permitted to” host “faith/religious-related games,” they may not “utilize special uniforms/equipment for such games,” Manfred said. But when it comes to Pride Night games, a special exception is made to show “appreciation and support” for the LGBTQ community.

Fox News and conservative commentators are also falsely presenting this as a win, claiming that MLB "backtracked."

WATCH:

That's far from the truth, however. The MLB blatantly admitted that it will persecute those who worship God but favor those who worship pride.

Uthmeier, who is apparently the only Republican willing to call balls and strikes, wasn't pleased with the MLB's "non-apology."

"Our investigation into MLB will continue," he wrote on X this morning. "MLB thinks it can sweep this under the rug with a non-apology. Any sign of Christian viewpoint discrimination will be rooted out."

This is a developing story.

Eight of the ten Antifa members convicted of terrorism charges for an attack on a Texas ICE detention center were sentenced to at least 50 years in prison on Tuesday.

The Antifa ringleader Benjamin Song was sentenced to 100 years in prison.

CBS News reported:

Eight people who were found guilty of terrorism-related charges earlier this year for a 2025 attack on an ICE detention facility in Alvarado, Texas, learned their punishments on Tuesday. One member of the group, identified as the group’s leader, was sentenced to a century in prison.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas said on Monday that sentencing for the defendants would happen Tuesday morning. The verdicts, handed down in March, came as the defendants stood accused in the July 4, 2025, plot targeting the Prairieland ICE detention center following weeks of testimony from investigators, law enforcement and cooperating witnesses.

Benjamin Song was hit with the longest prison sentence: 100 years behind bars. Maricela Rueda was sentenced to 70 years in prison. Autumn Hill was sentenced to 50 years, along with Zachary Evetts, Savanna Batten, Meagan Morris, and Elizabeth Soto. Daniel Rolando Sanchez-Estrada was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Prosecutors said that the group launched a premeditated terror attack on the detention facility inspired by antifa ideology, by setting off fireworks, vandalizing property, and shooting at police officers who responded. One officer was struck in the neck with a bullet and survived.

In March, a jury found nine Antifa members guilty of terrorism charges in an attack on an ICE detention center in Texas.

The nine indicted defendants: Cameron Arnold, a/k/a Autunm Hill, Zachary Evetts, Benjamin Song, Savanna Batten, Bradford Morris, a/k/a Meagan Morris, Maricela Rueda, Elizabeth Soto, Ines Soto, and Daniel Rolando Sanchez-Estrada.

Last 4th of July, nearly a dozen Antifa members dressed in black bloc and body armor descended on the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas.

The terrorists fired off explosives, vandalized federal vehicles, and fired shots at police officers.

A police officer was shot in the neck.

The defendants were found guilty on riot charges, providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to use and carry an explosive, and using and carrying an explosive, three counts of attempted murder of an officer, three counts of discharging a firearm during a violent crime, corruptly concealing a document and conspiracy to conceal documents.

“Today’s verdict shows the FBI remains committed to identifying, locating, and dismantling Antifa and its funding networks across the country,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “Acts of violence against our law enforcement partners will not be tolerated, and we continue our work to protect communities across the country from domestic terrorism.”

“Antifa is a domestic terrorist organization that has been allowed to flourish in Democrat-led cities — not under President Trump,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “Today’s verdict on terrorism charges will not be the last as the Trump administration systematically dismantles Antifa and finally halts their violence on America’s streets.”

“Nine North Texas Antifa Cell operatives were convicted today by a federal jury in Fort Worth, Texas for their roles in rioting, using weapons and explosives, providing material support to terrorists, obstruction, and attempted murder of an Alvarado police officer and unarmed correctional officers at the Prairieland ICE Detention Center on July 4, 2025, announced United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Raybould,” the DOJ said.

“In a 12-day trial that began on February 23, 2026, jurors heard testimony from more than 45 witnesses and considered over 210 exhibits supporting the charges against nine indicted defendants: Cameron Arnold, a/k/a Autunm Hill, Zachary Evetts, Benjamin Song, Savanna Batten, Bradford Morris, a/k/a Meagan Morris, Maricela Rueda, Elizabeth Soto, Ines Soto, and Daniel Rolando Sanchez-Estrada,” the Justice Department said.

“Seven others, Seth Sikes, Nathan Baumann, Joy Gibson, Susan Kent, Rebecca Morgan, Lynette Sharp, and John Thomas, pled guilty last year to one count of providing material support to terrorists,” the DOJ said.

This is the first-ever federal Antifa terrorism trial in Texas.

The View erupts into chaos as Ana Navarro defies the far-left script on Venezuela, triggering visible outrage from Sunny Hostin

In January, The Gateway Pundit reported that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced a crackdown on partisan talk shows in both daytime and late-night in an effort to provide equal treatment for political candidates.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said at the time, “For years, legacy TV networks assumed that their late night & daytime talk shows qualify as “bona fide news” programs – even when motivated by purely partisan political purposes.”

In February, the FCC is launched an investigation into ABC’s “The View” following an appearance by Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico, the first political candidate to appear on the program following the announcement in January.

At the time, Talarico was facing other candidates, including Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), in the Democrat primary. Republicans Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), state Attorney General Ken Paxton, and Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) faced off in the GOP primary.

Yet, as Fox News reported at the time, ABC’s parent company, Disney, never made an equal-time filing to the FCC regarding Talarico’s recent appearance, which would implicitly indicate to the FCC that Disney believes “The View” is bona fide news and would be exempt from the policy.

The equal opportunity requirement applies to all legally filed candidates on a ballot regardless of political party, meaning all eligible Democratic primary candidates would require equal time. Notably, Talarico received roughly nine minutes of airtime in one segment while his top primary rival, Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, had roughly 17 minutes of airtime across three segments during her appearance on “The View” last month.

The source noted that not only would ABC require equal airtime for Republican candidates on the ballot like incumbent Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn and his primary rivals. It would also apply to Ahmad Hassan, the little-known candidate running against Talarico and Crockett in the Democratic primary.

In a letter to FCC division chief Maria Mullarkey, Media Research Center (MRC) President David Bozell wrote, “For nearly four decades, the Media Research Center (MRC) has been an unrelenting media watchdog and a counterforce to activism in America’s newsrooms, broadcast networks, and Big Tech platforms. As such, the MRC is uniquely qualified to respond to the Commission’s request for comment on Disney/ABC’s petition to declare that the daytime television program The View qualifies as a bona fide news interview program.”

Per Fox News:

“ABC claims that its daytime television program The View is a ‘bona fide news interview program’ and thus should be exempt from Congress’s equal opportunity rules. This claim is belied by the facts,” Bozell continued in the letter that has been obtained by Fox News Digital. “While The View may once have qualified for an exemption, the evidence shows that it has for years operated for political purposes and is therefore not entitled to an exemption to the law.”

Bozell said the MRC “has the documentation to demonstrate that The View is a partisan political operation that advocates for Democrats and their party, against President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans, and for the political priorities of the left,” and can prove that ABC “misrepresented its program in its petition to the FCC” by improperly citing First Amendment case law, and trivializing the actual harms of censorship through false outrage at the Commission’s legitimate questions.

“In support of its petition, MRC will be submitting 2,473 separate pieces of evidence documenting The View’s pervasive bias and, at times, willful electioneering as exhibits to this comment,” Bozell wrote.

According to NewsBusters, the evidence includes everything the outlet has published about The View, “including numerous studies documenting their political bias.”

“For instance, in 2025, NewsBusters foundthat The View only spoke with two guests that exposed conservative views. Their interview with Vice President J.D. Vance last week was only their third conservative in 2026, so far.”
