Acting DNI Bill Pulte on Tuesday executed his 5th round of Deep State terminations on his way out.

The Senate on Monday evening cleared an important hurdle to confirm Jay Clayton as President Trump’s next Director of National Intelligence.

Meanwhile, Acting DNI Bill Pulte is still going full steam ahead with firings and announced an additional 30% staff reduction.

“Good News! In addition to the Historic DECLASSIFICATIONS (Transparency!) by the President, we are, this morning, Executing a 5th and Near Final Round of TERMINATIONS, an approximately 30% Staff Reduction from Weeks Ago,” Pulte said.

“The Intelligence Community must protect the American people, NOT the political whims of the bloated and corrupt elite class,” Pulte said on Tuesday.

On Sunday evening, Pulte announced his 4th round of Deep State firings.

“Since becoming Acting Director of National Intelligence, our team has been smartly, and carefully, reducing the size of ODNI, re-focusing ODNI on national security, the law, and the statute,” Pulte said.

“As of this evening, we just finished a 4th round of thoughtful, measured layoffs. Thank you!” Pulte said on X.

Last month Bill Pulte fired over 50 career Deep State intel officials.

CBS News previously reported that Pulte fired six political intelligence staffers and sent 45 others to their home agencies.

CNN reported that Pulte fired six political appointees chosen by Tulsi Gabbard.

Bill Pulte is also currently serving as the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA).

Two Mexican Pastors Who Overstayed Their Religious Visas for Four Years Arrested by ICE at Texas Airport

Two Mexican Pastors Who Overstayed Their Religious Visas for Four Years Arrested by ICE at Texas Airport

ICE Conducts a Fugitive Operation Targeting Criminal Aliens Across Florida” by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Public Domain Mark

Two married Mexican pastors who entered the United States on religious visas that expired more than four years ago were arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at McAllen airport last week as they tried to board a flight to a Billy Graham marriage conference in North Carolina.

Nepthali Zozaya Saucedo, 36, and his wife Cinthia Sarai Cardona Otero, 34, serve as assistant pastors at Comunidad Cristiana Emanuel Church in Edinburg, Texas.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson told Religion News Service that the couple entered the country legally on February 27, 2022. Their visas expired on July 7, 2022. They stayed anyway for four full years.

Overstaying a visa is generally a civil immigration violation rather than a federal criminal offense. It can nevertheless result in visa cancellation, removal proceedings, and multiyear restrictions on reentering the country.

The pastors were released through ICE’s Alternatives to Detention program. They must reportedly check in virtually with immigration authorities every month and appear in person at the ICE field office in Harlingen, Texas, within six months, according to the Washington Examiner.

Their immigration cases remain unresolved.

Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas publicly took credit for facilitating their release. The same congressman previously helped free a Nigerian Catholic nun, Sister Leticia Ugboaja (Sister Letty), who was arrested by ICE on June 28 while walking to Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in McAllen in her religious habit.

Cuellar complained that ICE is “going after religious people,” declaring, “I don’t think that’s a work of God. With all due respect, I think we got to have a little discretion here when people are in the process.”

Discretion for people who ignored the expiration date on their visas for four years? That is the Democrat playbook.

Supporters of the pastors, including some Assemblies of God figures, claimed the couple held valid R-1 religious worker visas. DHS rejected that narrative outright and stood by the overstay timeline.

This is not complicated. A visa is temporary permission. When it expires, you leave. Staying makes you deportable under federal law. Title and religious title do not create a permanent exemption from immigration statutes.

The airport arrests come as the Trump administration ramps up enforcement against foreign nationals who entered legally but refused to leave after their visas expired.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, ICE agents recently arrested an Ecuadorian national as she attempted to board a Southwest Airlines flight at Denver International Airport. DHS said her visa expired in January 2025.

The Gateway Pundit also reported that ICE arrested Southwest flight attendant Lorenzo “Enzo” Thompson while he was working at Nashville International Airport. DHS alleged that the Jamaican national remained in the United States after his authorized stay expired in October 2021.

The message from federal authorities is increasingly clear: Entering the country legally does not give foreign nationals permission to remain indefinitely.

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO – One Of The Strangest Midterm Cycles Yet – Can Republicans Fend Off A Democratic Takeover of The House?
July 28, 2026

The House of Representatives left late last week for August recess and won’t be back until September. The House will also be out of session for the month of October. Why? Because it is the final month before the 2026 midterm elections and campaigning is expected to intensify at that point.

The party that is out of power in the White House is historically favored to take the lower chamber or, at the very least, make significant gains; this midterm year may buck this historical trend.

A majority of states have already had their primary elections, the rest will be finished by mid-September.

Republicans have a significant fundraising advantage over Democrats this time around, which could spell serious problems for the DNC’s hopes in retaking the lower chamber this Fall.

To make matters worse for Democrats, the DNC raised $16.3 million by the end of June, but found itself $18.5 million in debt, which put them $2.2 million underwater. A very weak showing for a party that wishes to make these midterms a referendum on President Trump once again.

That strategy worked in 2018, when Democrats gained 41 House seats; it may not work again in 2026. Anti-Trump messaging is becoming an obsession at this point and the American people are tired of it.

In 2022, Republicans attempted to make the midterms a referendum on President Joe Biden, but that only netted them a 9-seat gain.

Could 2026 be a “reverse 2022?”

The Gateway Pundit spoke to various Members of Congress about midterm strategies right before they returned to their districts for August recess.

Rep Eric Burlison, R-MO, highlighted the work that the Republican led House has done for the economy over the past two years, which he called “transformative.”

“I think that you’re seeing manufacturing come back to the United States through the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill.’ You’re seeing the tax relief that people received. You’ve got new tax relief in the no tax on tips. No tax on overtime. This is all transformative to try to spur the economy,” Burlison told TGP in an exclusive interview.

“We’re digging ourselves out of this mire that Joe Biden put us in with incredibly high inflation. And so it’s not gonna happen overnight, but I think that we’re, we’ve made progress.”

Rep. Seth Moulton, D-MA, who is running for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts, does not see the same economic improvements that Burlison does.

“Lower costs for Americans. MAGA’s in charge of everything. Costs are skyrocketing, and we’re gonna bring down costs and make life more affordable in America,” Moulton told TGP in an exclusive interview.

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-SC, urges the GOP to center the message on affordability, similar to Moulton urging Democrats to do the same:

“Gas, groceries, housing, rent, mortgages everything costs more. And like I just saw my state of South Carolina today or yesterday reject an opportunity to reduce the cost of living and save seniors money on their mortgages, and I don’t understand why no one in either party is looking out for the affordability crisis right now,” Mace told TGP in an exclusive interview.

Mace lost her GOP primary for Governor of South Carolina in June because President Trump did not endorse her. It is possible that what she said here could just be her firing a shot at the President.

Rep. Tim Burchett, R-TN, brings up a recurring theme since the Biden era, Gas Prices.

“I think we need to jerk a knot in the oil companies’ tails, but they’re not gonna do anything. We don’t have the guts to do that,” Burchett told TGP in an exclusive interview.

Burchett also highlights social media campaigns as an effective election strategy. Democrats have been using social media to their advantage since the Obama era and Burchett thinks it’s time for the GOP to catch up:

“I think if we get our heads out of the sand and figure out how to use social media, we’d do a good job at telling America, because the national media’s not gonna tell it. They hate our guts.”

Rep. Derrick Van Orden, R-WI, highlighted three major points for the GOP messaging in 2026. Those three points are “gas, groceries, and grandkids.”

“Everything’s gonna start coming down as things settle down in the Middle East, just as President Trump and I have said. Grocery prices are coming down,” Van Orden told TGP in an exclusive interview.

“And then the grandkids thing, it speaks directly to national security, and I think with, you know, Kash Patel and the FBI, they did, what, essentially 96 Super Bowls in less than 40 days. That means that there’s a very good grasp on security here in the homeland. That’s how we’re gonna win.”

Van Orden is up for reelection in one of the most competitive House seats in the nation.

Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-NY, and Rep. Jonathan Jackson, D-IL took the opportunity to attack President Trump and Elon Musk, embracing the common Democratic strategy of making every single election a referendum on Trump.

Torres wants Democrats to win back the House to “hold Donald Trump accountable” and Jackson complained about Elon Musk becoming the world’s first trillionaire.

Rep. Don Beyer, D-VA, highlighted affordability like his colleagues, but could not help himself and went after President Trump:

“I read just today that two-thirds of Americans feel they can’t afford their grocery bills. Another thing I read half an hour ago a skyrocketing number of people that are either gig workers or Amazon workers are on food stamps,” Beyer told TGP in an exclusive interview.

“You know, we, we gotta do something about that, and part of that’s gonna be fighting back against the corruption in this administration. Sadly, and I, don’t say this with any glee there’s been more dollars changing hands among the, top end of this administration than any administration in history.”

In your average midterm cycle, Democrats would easily take the House back, if not by a sizable margin, this year could be much different.

Factors such as the DNC being in debt, Democrats’ shrinking lead in the polls compared to previous years, and Republican redistricting efforts in states like Texas and Florida could offset Democratic gains in the House.

All of these factors raise an obvious question. Will 2026 yield a similar result to 2022, but in reverse?

Texas Democrat James Talarico, the progressive Senate candidate running against Attorney General Ken Paxton, just got exposed again.

In newly surfaced audio from an April 2024 appearance on The State of Belief podcast alongside Muslim state Rep. Salman Bhojani, Talarico openly credited Islam for molding his religious beliefs.

“I know personally that I’ve learned as much about my faith from Salman’s tradition, from the Islamic mystics, from poets like Rumi, as much as I have from Christian authors and Christian writers,” Talarico said.

He continued by praising interfaith dialogue for bringing “new flavors and new colors” to his tradition and even quoted the Islamic mystic Rumi: “In every religion there is love, yet love has no religion.”

The audio was highlighted by RNC Research and reported by The Daily Wire.

WATCH:

This is the same James Talarico who previously described himself as “a Christian who hates Christianity.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported in June, Talarico made that stunning admission during a 2021 interview on the Activist Theology podcast hosted by a self-described “TransQueer” activist theologian.

“I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity,” Talarico declared at the time, before claiming he keeps getting “drawn back into it” because of the “radical” and “revolutionary” teachings of the “barefoot rabbi.”

Now the man who hates Christianity is telling Texans that Islamic mystics and Sufi poetry shaped his faith just as much as the Bible and Christian writers. And he’s running as the supposed “Christian” alternative in one of the most important Senate races in the country.

Talarico has made his faith a central part of his campaign brand, frequently talking about “biblical Christianity.” Yet the record shows a long pattern of progressive reinterpretations that look nothing like traditional Christianity:

  • He has claimed God is “nonbinary.”
  • He has called Jesus a “radical feminist.”
  • He has suggested multiple biological sexes exist.
  • He has argued that displaying the Ten Commandments in classrooms is “deeply unchristian.”

The Gateway Pundit also previously reported that Talarico described Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and other religions as different pathways leading to the same “fundamental truth.”

“I always think of all the world’s faith traditions as a circle, with that divine mystery of the universe in the middle,” Talarico said in that clip.

Texas voters, especially Christian voters, should pay close attention. A candidate who once said he hates Christianity and now says Islamic mystics shaped his faith equally is not running on the faith of most Texans.

It can get much worse.

For seven days and nights, French firefighters have been battling the Gironde wildfire and are only now getting a measure of success, right as another heatwave is about to hit the Bordeaux region.

The massive Gironde wildfire has burned some 42,000 hectares and remains stabilized but not fully contained.

But a new deadly challenge may be about to enter this ‘apocalyptic’ fire season: the blaze is closing in on missile and rocket factories in France – facilities that store explosive materials.

The Telegraph reported:

“At least seven sites holding hazardous substances lie within 12 miles of the current blaze, France’s worst wildfires in living memory.

Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, an evacuated commune, is home to a 435-hectare facility which produces propellants for Ariane rockets and strategic missiles. Another facility in nearby Sainte-Hélène produces ammonium perchlorate, a powerful explosive agent.

ArianeGroup, the aerospace company which operates the site, said the facilities had been evacuated with ‘all necessary measures’ taken to secure them.

Sébastien Lecornu, the French prime minister, said protective measures had been deployed around the sites ‘given the nature of the products stored there’, Le Monde reported.”

Defense News reported:

“Satellite data on Tuesday morning showed wildfires remained active less than 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) west of Dassault’s Martignas site, which is the wing assembly plant for the Rafale jet, before final assembly of the aircraft in Mérignac.

NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System showed fires and hot spots west of Bordeaux were significantly reduced as of 9 o’clock in the morning local time, though authorities have warned that a new wave of hot weather with a peak on Wednesday, combined with near-record drought conditions, could cause fire activity to pick up again.

[…] Satellite data as of Tuesday morning showed active wildfires around 12 kilometers west of ArianeGroup’s Candale site, where the propulsion units of the M51 missile stages are integrated and assembled, around 13 kilometers from the site of Saint-Médard-en-Jalles where the missile is fueled, and some 16 kilometers of the Le Haillan site that produces the company’s solid-propulsion systems.”
