Ambassador Mike Waltz was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to talk about the pause on the strikes on Iran.

Waltz explained that the military has been greatly strengthened since President Trump resumed office. He explained that President Trump is readily prepared with the military to continue striking Iran when it becomes necessary.

“We are in a pause in these nightly strikes we have been doing with respect to Iran,” Bream said.

“What is the timeline for deciding whether we resume?” Bream asked.

“The President said we are locked and loaded. Even more assets are going into theatre, but he is giving talk some space,” Waltz commented.

“There are a lot of folks who say it’s a senseless mission. We can never trust the Iranians. Why continue talking with them? The only thing that they really respond to is this brute military force,” Bream said.

“The IRGC controls 40 to 50 percent of the Iranian economy. What you have seen in the last 13 days are strikes particularly focused on Iran’s terrorist activities,” Waltz said.

“The Iranian regime is isolated, economically devastated, militarily devastated,” Waltz continued.

“Inflation is spiking, the currency is tanking. Foreign currency reserves are gone, and we are starting to see the Iranian government even not be able to pay its own workers and even its own military,” Waltz explained.

“The Iranian’s leverage, this regime’s leverage over the Straits of Hormuz will drastically diminish over time,” Waltz said.

Ambassador Waltz explained that deals are being made in the Middle East and with US oil and gas companies, which will create many pipelines in the Middle East to potentially move millions of barrels of oil a day.

“They have made a fantastic and historic mistake by what they have done. But in the meantime, in the very near meantime, we have taken that leverage off the table by degrading and destroying their military architecture,” Waltz explained.

A pastor in Xinjiang, China, is facing compliance regulations from communist officials and the possible forced closure of his church.

The pastor, mentioned in a June 24 release from International Christian Concern only as “Pastor A” to safeguard his identity, is a member of the Uyghur ethnic group.

Various church leaders and congregants are facing “intensified surveillance” related to their Christian activities.

Pastor A leads a small house church in southern Xinjiang.

Over the past few months, communist officials have “increased pressure on the congregation, citing alleged violations related to religious activities and imposing new administrative demands that church leaders say they cannot meet.”

International Christian Concern said they have received reports saying the church must pay a “compliance deposit” and submit documents related to their activities.

“Church leaders fear that failure to comply will result in the congregation’s permanent closure,” the ministry said.

The church is facing possible demolition if they are deemed noncompliant.

Pastor A said that his adult son was detained and questioned about the church, after which his son was restricted in his movements.

The minister’s wife was likewise “summoned by authorities and pressured to sign documents pledging not to participate in religious activities.”

International Christian Concern noted that beyond increasing crackdowns on house churches from the Chinese government, the government of Chinese President Xi Jinping is working to suppress the Uyghur people.

“Uyghurs are a predominantly Muslim Turkic ethnic minority who primarily reside in Xinjiang, a vast region in northwestern China,” the ministry noted.

“They possess a distinct language, culture, and historical identity that differ significantly from those of the Han Chinese majority.”

While most Uyghurs are Muslims, some have “converted to Christianity, often facing pressure both from state authorities and their surrounding communities.”

China ranks 17th on the World Watch List published by Open Doors, which tracks Christian persecution.

The communist government allows Roman Catholic and Protestant worship as long as the churches’ doctrines are aligned with Chinese communism.

“This intrusion means that many churches decide not to register, meeting underground instead as house churches,” Open Doors described.

“This is an enormously brave move because it can bring raids, fines, arrests, imprisonments and the confiscation of materials. With incentives offered to report on such ‘illegal’ activities, the risks facing those involved in house churches, particularly leaders, are deepening.”

Footage has emerged showing the moment that a heroic Tucson police officer took down a dangerous mass shooter last week, who should never have been free to start with.

As FOX 10 Phoenix reported, a mass shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday, July 19, on Congress Street and Sixth Avenue, right outside Empire Pizza.

Tucson Police revealed that there was a confrontation between two groups who knew each other. A man, later identified as 21-year-old David French, then opened fire, injuring nine individuals.

Police say that French fired into a crowd outside Empire Pizza last Sunday. Most of the victims have been released from the hospital.

French tried to flee to safety, but, unbeknownst to him, police were in the area.

In the footage below, which was captured by a camera at Empire Pizza & Pub, French emerges seconds into the video.

He is seen on the sidewalk while firing several shots. He then darts behind and around a white car before running back on the sidewalk.

French’s frantic escape is then suddenly cut short by the courageous cop, who fires at one shot into the perp’s back.

French then collapses onto the ground, and the rest of the police swarm to apprehend him.

This all takes less than 15 seconds.

According to KVOA, French was later taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries but managed to survive.

Per 13 News, French faces the following charges:

• 9 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
• 9 counts of aggravated assault with serious physical injury
• 1 count of discharging a firearm at a structure

The Tucson Police Department also stated that more charges are pending against French as the investigation continues.

Court records show that French has a prior 2024 conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was on probation.

French is being held without bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 3.

In this Colombian festival variation, a very chaotic scene unfolds with members of the public jumping on the arena to provoke the raging bull.

“Video footage showed the bull seconds after it was released chasing people in the ring before it jumped over a tall red fence and into a large crowd. Cheers of excitement quickly turned into screams of panic as people fled the stands, with some even jumping into the ring to escape.

One woman was hit and trampled by the bull as she tried to run away around the stand. A fearless man then grabbed the bull by the tail, allowing others to quickly escape.”
