NEW: Trump Goes Off on New York Times After Failed Attempt to Toss Defamation Lawsuit, Says He’ll “Continue to Hold The Times and their ‘Comrades’ in the Mainstream Media Accountable”

President Trump on Monday announced that he is filing an amended complaint in which he will “lay out, in extreme detail,” numerous offenses in his $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the New York Times.

This comes after US District Judge Steven Merryday declined the Times’ request to toss the case out on Monday.

Trump said the Times “failed again in their desperate attempt to have our powerful Defamation Lawsuit against them dropped.”

Per Bloomberg:

The federal judge in Florida overseeing President Donald Trump’s $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the New York Times has deferred ruling on the newspaper’s request to toss the case, and instead is allowing Trump to revise his complaint.

The president has until Aug. 27 to file an amended suit, US District Judge Steven Merryday ruled Monday, giving Trump’s lawyer a chance to clear up potential deficiencies. The New York Times will then have three weeks to file a “succinct” response, the judge said.
As we requested, the Highly Respected Judge has called for an updated complaint, which will lay out, in extreme detail, all the ways in which The Times has repeatedly and consistently acted, with actual malice in defaming me, my family, our Great MAGA Movement, and America, itself,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

“We will continue to hold The Times and their “comrades” in the Mainstream Media accountable for publishing, promoting, and dealing in Fake News.”

Full statement below:

BREAKING NEWS: The Failing New York Times, after 10 years of harassment, slander, and libel, just failed again in their desperate attempt to have our powerful Defamation Lawsuit against them dropped. As we requested, the Highly Respected Judge has called for an updated complaint, which will lay out, in extreme detail, all the ways in which The Times has repeatedly and consistently acted, with actual malice in defaming me, my family, our Great MAGA Movement, and America, itself.

We will continue to hold The Times and their “comrades” in the Mainstream Media accountable for publishing, promoting, and dealing in Fake News. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Trump’s original $15 billion lawsuit, filed in a Florida federal court, against the New York Times was struck down in September. Trump refiled the lawsuit in October.

Last month, Trump went off on the New York Times in a statement, writing that he would add their “FAKE & MADE UP” coverage of the Iran war to his lawsuit. He further labeled the authors of a piece “criminals,” slamming them for “TREASONOUS” coverage of the war.

Biden Ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer and Special Counsel Robert Hur investigated Joe Biden and gave him a pass knowing Biden broke the law by releasing classified documents.

Last Friday, Joe Biden gave up the fight and declined to seek further review of an appeals court ruling on the release of 70 hours of conversations with his ghostwriter in 2017.

This was years before Democrats pushed Old Joe to run for president and rigged the primary and general elections in his favor.

The Oversight Project on Monday afternoon released recordings of Joe Biden’s interviews with his ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer. Oversight Project published more than 70 hours of recordings from Biden’s 2016 and 2017 conversations with his “Promise Me, Dad” ghostwriter, Mark Zwonitzer.

Click here to read the full transcript of Biden’s conversations with Mark Zwonitzer.

Former Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Clark responded to the news tonight that Biden released several classified documents to his ghostwriter during their conversations.

“The tapes make clear that Biden disclosed massive amounts of classified information to his ghost writer Mark Zwonitzer,” the Oversight Project’s VP of litigation, Jeff Clark said.

Clark also quoted law that because Biden released classified information to Zwonitzer, he should forfeit the $8 million book advance he was gifted with and he must also forfeit his home in Delaware where he illegally kept classified documents.

Jeff Clark:  Our team is reviewing the Biden tapes now. We will be out with various bombshells.

But I want to make this point right now. The tapes make clear that Biden disclosed massive amounts of classified information to his ghost writer Marc Zwonitzer.

Now, take a look at 18 USC 798(d). Last, ask yourself, why didn’t Special Counsel Robert Hur seek a prosecution and then (A) the forfeiture the $8 million book advance that Joe Biden got for Promise Me, Dad; and (B) his Delaware house and any other Biden property where he kept classified information?

So why did you give Joe Biden a free pass, Robert Hur?

Americans are getting sick and tired of this outrageous double standard in our legal system!
Hur has some explaining to do.

SOCIALIST DISASTER: Radical NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Prepares Taxpayer-Funded ‘Government Grocery Stores’ — Rigging Prices Up to 30% Below Retail

Radical Democratic Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced Monday that the city will open five city-owned, taxpayer-funded grocery stores, one in each borough, with prices on a core basket of items set at up to 30% below typical retail.

The plan, a centerpiece of Mamdani’s campaign, will use $70 million in capital funds. The city will own the land or space, cover construction, renovations, rent, and property taxes.

Core discounted items include all fresh produce, meat, and seafood, plus about 20 pantry staples, dairy, and refrigerated goods such as eggs, milk, bread, cheese, rice, and beans. Prices on that basket will be locked in monthly at 30% below typical retail with “no exceptions, no gimmicks.” Other products sell at market rates. Officials claim the average household could save about $90 a month or $1,000 a year, according to ABC7 NY.

Mamdani framed it as fighting corporate greed and rising prices: “Every week, New Yorkers walk into a grocery store hoping the prices haven’t gone up again… A trip to the grocery store shouldn’t spell dread for New Yorkers. That’s why we are guaranteeing a 30% discount on the most common and most critical groceries for families across the five boroughs — including eggs, milk, chicken and fresh fruits and vegetables. In a city that’s defined by unpredictability, you deserve stability — no matter what aisle you’re in.”

WATCH:

But there is nothing “free” about Mamdani’s socialist supermarket scheme.

The city has already committed a staggering $70 million in capital funding to construct and prepare the five locations.

Under the plan, New York City will provide grocery-ready sites, fund the initial construction, cover rent and property taxes and create a single government-approved brand for the stores.

Private grocery operators will be selected to handle staffing, inventory, merchandising and other daily operations, but City Hall will establish the pricing mandates, labor requirements and performance standards.

The city released a request for proposals Monday seeking private companies willing to operate the taxpayer-backed markets.

The first location is expected to open at The Peninsula development in Hunts Point, the Bronx, by the end of 2027. Another 9,000-square-foot store is planned for La Marqueta in East Harlem but is not expected to open until 2029.

Sites in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island have not yet been selected, although Mamdani claims all five stores will be operational before the end of his first term.

According to the Mamdani administration, the taxpayer-backed markets will not sell high-profit products such as cigarettes, alcohol, lottery tickets or prepared hot foods in an alleged effort to avoid competing with neighborhood bodegas.

But removing a few products does not change the basic economics.

Private supermarkets and bodegas must pay their own rent, property taxes, construction costs, maintenance bills and insurance premiums. Mamdani’s government-backed competitors will have many of those expenses covered by taxpayers while selling popular grocery staples at artificially reduced prices.

How is a family-owned grocery store supposed to compete against a rival funded by City Hall?

Owners have called it a “slap in the face” and said the city is “using our tax money to compete with us.” Some have noted that a large share of their customers use SNAP benefits and will simply shift to the subsidized locations.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, approximately 45 grocery stores already operate within a 35-minute walk of Mamdani’s planned East Harlem location.

The area includes major chains, smaller supermarkets and neighborhood bodegas already operating on thin profit margins.

“Of course it will affect this store,” Sarah Kang, manager of a nearby CTown Supermarkets location, said when asked about Mamdani’s government-backed competitor.

The Gateway Pundit also reported in April that the East Harlem location alone could cost taxpayers roughly $30 million, and will not open until 2029.

What could possibly go wrong?

RINO John Thune Lashes Out at Trump Amid Criticism Over SAVE Act – “Show Me How We Get an Outcome”
July 27, 2026

RINO Senate Majority Leader John Thune lashed out at Trump after the President blasted Thune over the SAVE America Act in a statement this morning.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump said the Democrats “can’t believe how lucky they got” with Thune as Senate Majority Leader amid an ongoing feud between Thune and the White House over the SAVE Act.

Trump went on to tell reporters on Air Force One this afternoon that Thune needs to “get his job done,” though he said he has a “good relationship with John Thune” and declined to say whether Thune should be ousted as majority leader.

WATCH:

Thune responded to the President’s comments, purporting to be clueless on how to get results, suggesting that Trump needs to “show me how we get an outcome.”

“If somebody can show me how we get an outcome, how we get a result, how we get an answer to this, I’m all for it,” Thune said, according to Punchbowl News’s Em Luetkemeyer.

“But if we are going to be sitting here in endless quorum calls, I don’t know if that’s in anybody’s best interest,” he added.

Similarly, Thune lashed out at White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, suggesting she should do his job, after Leavitt told reporters that the President is “running out” of patience for Thune.

“She or somebody else ought to get on the phone and get the votes, right?” Thune told reporters after Leavitt’s comment.

“Instead of you know pointing the finger at Republicans, they might think about going after the people who are stopping it on the floor, which is the Democrats, and if there are Republicans that they think are gettable, get on the phone,” he added.

So, the Democrats are “stopping it on the floor,” but Thune also admits that members of his own caucus are not currently willing to vote for it. And at the same time, the White House needs to stop “pointing the finger at Republicans,” according to Thune’s contradictory statement.

July 27, 2026

Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney has responded to President Donald Trump mocking his failed Bud Light partnership, while taking a jab at CNN’s Kaitlan Collins for looking like the male activist.

Trump’s comments were made during remarks at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Friday night.

The president brought up Collins after she received an award for her coverage of the administration.

“I want to personally congratulate CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on receiving her award. It was all about me. It’s a fake — she shouldn’t get the award; it was a fake,” Trump began.

“I thought Kaitlan had really made it big with a major new sponsorship, but then I informed her that it wasn’t her on the Bud Light can, it was Dylan Mulvaney. Dylan Mulvaney cost Bud Light $35 billion in market cap. That was the worst commercial ever made, by the way, for those few people who want to hear that. Most people don’t care, but I would. I wouldn’t want to hire Dylan any time soon.”

WATCH:

Trump later doubled down by posting an AI-generated image on Truth Social that superimposed Collins’ face onto Mulvaney’s body from the 2023 Bud Light advertisement.

The Anheuser-Busch brand had partnered with Mulvaney for an Instagram and TikTok campaign featuring a personalized can with his face.

The promotion triggered a massive boycott from conservatives, leading to sharp declines in sales and significant market value losses for the company.

Mulvaney responded on Sunday with a nearly four-minute video posted to Instagram.

“Now, the president also brought up a video I did over three years ago, and mind you, I’ve been kind of flying under the radar, keeping up a pretty low profile, just like doing my little musicals, singing, dancing. And yet, I am still his topic of conversation all these years later,” Mulvaney said.

“And it seems to me that I might be like the one that got away for these men. Like, I am permanently burned into their retinas. I am microchipped into their minds.”

Mulvaney congratulated Collins on the award, calling the comparison an honor, and then reframed the mockery as a positive.

“In fact, maybe being publicly mocked and criticized by this administration is actually like the greatest compliment of all, because it puts me in the company of some of like the most brilliant, empathetic people in our world today.”

He concluded, “And lastly, to the president, thank you for reminding me that I am more powerful than I even knew.”
