William Lintang Upham, the unhinged former Marine and write-in congressional candidate who posted a sick video declaring President Donald Trump the “Antichrist” and saying he “must be killed,” has been arrested.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Wednesday, Upham, a medically retired former Marine 1st Lieutenant who worked as a prosecutor, posted a nearly seven-minute video to his X account in which he repeatedly referred to President Trump as the “anti-Christ” and a “false Messiah” before explicitly calling for his assassination.

He claimed he reached a “turning point” in his campaign after realizing “our country is broken” and that “we are led by a president who’s the enemy of God.”

Upham tied his hatred to President Trump’s recent criticism of Pope Leo XIV and an AI-generated image Trump posted depicting himself in a Jesus-like pose. “He is nothing like Jesus Christ,” Upham said.

He went further, calling it a “call to arms,” urging “God’s children” to “overthrow the Trump Administration on behalf of God,” and claiming Trump would be “killed and sent to hell.”

According to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office inmate records, Upham, 35, was booked into Duval County Jail late Wednesday night, July 15, 2026, at 11:20 p.m. under Jail Number 2026015579 / JSO ID 892658.

He was held on a U.S. MARSHAL HOLD with the charge comment explicitly listed as “THREATS AGAINST THE PRESIDENT.”

The white male, 5’5”, 170 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes, was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Records show he was released on July 16, 2026, after a first appearance hearing scheduled for 1:00 p.m. today.

Federal charging documents obtained by Jacksonville Florida Times-Union paint an even darker picture.

According to the criminal complaint filed by a U.S. Secret Service agent, Upham posted videos recommending viewers work in pairs with semiautomatic rifles like AR-15s and ammunition “very effective at piercing body armor.” He described specific shooting patterns that would produce “a very high chance of killing the enemy.”

In an email to a reporter, Upham allegedly wrote: “I made this video in uniform to declare war against President Trump on behalf of God… I will kill President Trump at the time that God chooses… Our country must overthrow President Trump by the violent use of force and kill him.”

Upham, a former county court prosecutor in Jacksonville who is listed as not eligible to practice law in Florida, faces a federal charge for threats against the president, a crime that carries up to five years in federal prison, according to Jacksonville Florida Times-Union.

The U.S. Marine Corps and Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao previously blasted Upham’s statements as “disturbing” and a violation of the oath he swore, making clear he no longer represents the Corps or its values.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office booking record does not provide additional details regarding the federal investigation.

However, a U.S. Secret Service spokesperson told Fox News on Wednesday, “The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the comments made by a congressional candidate in Florida, and we investigate anything that can be perceived as a threat toward one of our protectees. Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”

A shocking video captured the moment a freight train crew in Northern Ontario found themselves surrounded by raging Canadian wildfires, with flames filling the view from the cabin windows.

The footage, taken late Tuesday, shows the crew desperately calling for help as the fire threatened to overtake them before it suddenly receded enough for the train to push through thick smoke.

One crew member can be heard pleading over the radio, “This could potentially overtake us here. This has gotten a little scary. Holy [bleep]. You all need to hurry up here. Seriously. We’re encased in flames now.”

Another voice adds, “This has got to move quick,” followed by “Holy crap” as the fire begins to pull back, allowing the train to pass through.

The incident took place during a massive outbreak of wildfires across Canada, as more than 800 fires are still raging nationwide.

Smoke from the blazes has drifted south into parts of the United States, including Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

Detroit, Minneapolis and Chicago ranked among the top five most polluted major cities in the world on Thursday, as air quality alerts stretched from Minnesota to parts of the Northeast.

Minnesota officials issued an air quality alert through Friday for areas including the Twin Cities metro area, with very heavy smoke expected across the state’s northeastern corner. Air quality levels in northeast Minnesota reached hazardous levels, making it unsafe for everyone.

Officials in Michigan and Wisconsin also warned residents about air quality issues that could last for days. The entire state of Michigan was under an air quality alert Thursday, and it could be extended if needed.

An air quality advisory was in effect Thursday for all of New York state, and officials said N95-style masks would be distributed to commuters in New York City.

The Associated Press noted, “A study published this year found that long-term exposure to tiny particles from wildfire smoke contributed to an average of 24,100 deaths a year in the lower 48 states. Long-term exposure can make existing health problems worse and lead to a range of chronic and deadly health issues, including respiratory illness, cardiovascular and neurological diseases, and premature death.”

The FBI is investigating gunshots fired at an ICE headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

According to 12News, there appears to be four bullet holes in the windows of the ICE facility.

The incident happened on July 14, just one day after the deadly, ICE-involved shooting in Maine.

Nobody was injured in the gunfire.

A 28-year-old presumed illegal alien fleeing immigration officers in St. Augustine, Florida, was struck and killed by a semi-truck after he ran into oncoming traffic.

DHS Chief Markwayne Mullin ordered agents to cease non-urgent vehicle stops following the fatal shooting in Maine.

However, President Trump reversed Mullin’s directive and ordered agents to resume the vehicle stops.

The Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) have announced an investigation into at 75 entry-level truck driver Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) schools across the country suspected of fraudulently helping non-citizen drivers qualify.

Safety experts estimate that as many as 130,000 illegal-alien truck drivers may be operating in the United States, with tens of thousands believed to have obtained licenses through illegitimate means.

The Gateway Pundit has reported on the deadly consequences of illegal alien truckers.

Fox News’ Bill Melugin reports, “NEW: DHS and DOT have announced they’ve identified 75 entry level truck driver CDL schools across the US that are suspected of fraudulently helping non-citizen drivers qualify for CDLs, and the agencies are partnering to investigate them, with HSI and DOT already visiting some of the schools to probe them.”

“Some of the schools are suspected of falsifying training records, providing improper certifications, and failing to properly train the drivers.”

Statements via DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin noted, “Too many American lives have been lost in completely avoidable accidents because illegal aliens have been granted commercial driver’s licenses to drive trucks and 18-wheelers on America’s roadways.”

“DHS law enforcement is partnering with the Department of Transportation to eliminate CDL fraud, strengthen the integrity of the CDL system, and investigate commercial driver’s license schools throughout the country. This is a whole of government approach, to keep America’s roads safe.”

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy. added, “USDOT has spent the last year rooting out bad actors from our trucking industry.”

“We’ve knocked over 24,000 drivers off our roads for failing to speak English, forced states to cancel over 28,000 licenses illegally issued to foreign drivers, and purged over 9,500 unqualified training schools from our FMCSA registry. DHS will be a force multiplier of our efforts to clean up America’s roads. President Trump is using every lever at his disposal to ensure the safety of American families.”
