The Epstein stain is very hard to get rid of.

Among the many people exposed by the DOJ document releases as being connected to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, was former Barack Obama White House Counsel and former Goldman Sachs chief legal officer Kathryn Ruemmler.

We have reported here on TGP about how the evidence of her close relation ship with Epstein led to her resignation from her job at Goldman Sachs.

And yesterday (15), Ruemmler testified before the House Oversight Committee, calling the convicted sex offender a ‘masterful liar’.

She said Epstein used her to ‘legitimize’ himself, but had to acknowledge that he ‘referred paying clients to her law practice.’

The New York Post reported:

“Ruemmler, who resigned as Goldman’s top lawyer earlier this year after previously undisclosed communications with Epstein became public, told the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Wednesday that she maintained years of dealings with him because of those business relationships.

‘I did not see any evidence of ongoing criminal conduct or misconduct of any kind by Epstein during the time I dealt with him’, Ruemmler told lawmakers in her opening statement, adding that she ‘would have immediately reported him to law enforcement’ had she seen evidence that he was abusing women or girls.”

Committee chairman James Comer called the relationship “very concerning” and said Ruemmler “tried and worked as hard as anyone — well I would say more than anyone — and tried to rehabilitate his image after he was convicted of solicitation of a minor.”

Like so many before her, Ruemmler expressed regret over the relationship.

Epstein approached her with ‘a donor-advised fund’ involving Bill Gates, said he was seeking a lawyer to ‘quarterback’ the legal work.

“Although that project never materialized, Ruemmler says Epstein soon referred her another financial institution client that retained her through 2020 while Epstein remained a primary adviser to the client, resulting in “substantial dealings” between the two.

The unnamed financial institution was Bank Edmond de Rothschild, which Epstein allegedly brought to Ruemmler as a client after telling her the bank had “a Justice Department problem” related to a broader US crackdown on Swiss banks, according to Epstein-related emails released by the Trump administration.”

Epstein also referred additional clients and occasionally sought her legal advice, even though she alleges that Epstein was never her client.

Critiques such as Poindexter’s have gelled into a consensus over the past two years, repeated ad nauseam by starchy senators and governors with an eye toward running for president in 2028. Closing the gender gap now seems to be an official electoral strategy for Democrats. A couple of months ago, I got a call from a party operative who pitched a story on the Democrats’ effort to “win back the manosphere.” The operative ran through a list of a half dozen candidates in key House districts who “are engaging culturally in male spaces”—a bit of gobbledygook that I took to mean “manly men,” or perhaps “guy’s guys,” but that also reflects the sort of anthropological distance that points to the depth of the party’s problem. After all, an ironworker probably wouldn’t describe himself as “engaging culturally in male spaces.”

A Texas mayor was arrested and charged with five felonies.

Houston-area Arcola Mayor Fred Burton was charged with illegal voting, fraud, tampering with government records, and misuse of official information.

The illegal voting charges arise from two different elections: Arcola Municipal runoff election in June 2025 and City of Arcola special election in April 2026.

“According to the grand jury indictments, Burton is accused of helping, encouraging, or failing to prevent three people from voting when he knew they were ineligible to do so,” Fox 26 Houston reported.

The three remaining charges against Burton go back to 2023.

The mayor of a small Texas town is facing several felonies, according to Fort Bend County court records.

Mayor Fred A. Burton, 68, is charged with two counts of illegal voting, one count of misuse of official information, one count of fraud and one count of tampering with government records, all of which are felonies. He was arrested Tuesday night, according to the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office.

In the illegal voting charges, Burton is accused of telling at least three people to vote in a runoff election while knowing they weren’t eligible to do so.

In the misuse of official information charge, Burton is accused of using insider information to affect a $15,000 City of Arcola contract bid.

In the tampering with government record charge, he’s accused of presenting a fake estimate to defraud the City of Arcola in 2023.

The fraud charge, also stemming from an incident in 2023, alleges Burton got some councilmembers to sign off on two checks with a combined value of between $30,000 and $150,000.

An imam from Texas named Omar Suleiman who has led prayers before Congress is facing a formal rebuke over horrible comments he made, celebrating the news of the death of Senator Lindsey Graham.

Celebrating the death of Republicans has become commonplace on the left. We saw the exact same thing play out following the death of Charlie Kirk.

They don’t even try to hide it. They gleefully celebrate the death of their political adversaries openly on social media, then often act surprised when others react to them with disgust, or if there are consequences.

This case is especially repulsive, given that this is supposedly a man of God.

A Texas imam invited to pray before Congress is facing backlash on Capitol Hill after celebrating Sen. Lindsey Graham’s death in a social media post that wished him “an eternity in ruins” over his support for Israel.

Rep. Beth Van Duyne, R-Texas, plans to introduce a resolution on Wednesday that would formally condemn Omar Suleiman, the president and co-founder of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, near Dallas.

“In other news, Lindsey Graham is dead,” Suleiman wrote on social media early Sunday morning, shortly after news broke that Graham had died. “Bye Lindsey. May you live an eternity in ruins for the ruins you helped create in Gaza. Ameen.”

Van Duyne, who represents the suburban Dallas district where Suleiman lives, said Congress must condemn his incendiary message, pointing to his 2019 opening prayer before the House, which he delivered at Democrats’ invitation.

“This type of action from a religious leader that claims to preach about love and not hate needs to be condemned,” Van Duyne told Fox News Digital in an interview. “That was anything but love. That was depravity.”

And to think, Democrats in Congress honored this man.

They told us it was about inclusion.

Vice President JD Vance appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast this week and the topic of the Los Angeles mayor race came up in their discussion.

It was immediately clear that both men think the primary election was a total sham, mainly due to the mail-in ballots that bumped Spencer Pratt off the ballot.

Rogan also pointed out that there is plenty of evidence that homeless people were basically bribed for their votes.
