A fatal police shooting involving a career criminal in far-left Madison, Wisconsin, has sparked massive protests demanding the prosecution of the cops.

As the Associated Press reported, 38-year-old Corey Ruiz was killed on a busy city street Wednesday. This occurred two blocks away from his daughter’s home, and along the route she walks to school.

Videos circulating online show various angles of the incident. ABC News verified and synchronized three videos.

The videos last a total of 28 seconds.

Ruiz, who is homeless, is seen falling from the bicycle at the intersection of S. Baldwin and Williamson Streets in Madison. Moments later, three officers are seen rushing to restrain him as he is on the ground.

A struggle then ensues between Ruiz and four of the officers. According to Madison Police Chief John Patterson, Ruiz pulled out a knife during the fight, injuring one officer.

The injured officer then allegedly fired the shots that killed Ruiz. Patterson also noted that a second officer was injured during the incident.

Here is one of the videos of the incident, which was obtained by WISN.

Per Andy Ngo, Ruiz had 40 misdemeanor and felony convictions from 2009 to 2025. These convictions include battery and robbery.

Moreover, Ruiz owes close to $50,000 in child support.

LOOK:

In the days following the incident, mobs of angry protesters crashed events and took to the streets to demand ‘justice’ for Ruiz.

DSA member Francesca Hong, the Democratic frontrunner for Wisconsin governor, also joined a protest.

The protests became even more heated on Friday night with agitators confronting drivers and smashing their car windows.

During a press conference on Friday, the Ruiz family attorney Ben Crump accused the Madison police of cold-blooded murder.

“They not only tackled him, not only tased him, not only kicked him, but you saw they shot him three times in his head and other parts of his body,” Crump said.

“We saw an execution, and it shocked our conscience. Thank God there was video.”

Obama Tells Caitlin Clark He Didn’t Have to Deal with the Media in His 20’s (Because He Was a Stoner).

Yesterday in Chicago Obama met up with Clark and shared with Clark that he didn’t have to deal with the media when he was in his 20’s.

Clark discussed meeting Obama in a presser following the event.

One take on the meet-up called it a typical Obama moment used for poltical purposes.

Why is it that Obama just SURPRISE happens to show up mic’d up and spend 20 minutes tops at the event but goes over to CAITLIN CLARK to say “Don’t let the nonsense get you down?

He never ONCE mentioned anything on X or interviews that she is being tormented by players .. but he calls it NONSENSE?

This was a POLITICAL stop meant to humanize him because he is always RUNNING & active in politics.

Why is our own PBS covering this and releasing this instantly as if it is for political purposes?

Why was this announced only days ago that there is a SYNERGY with the WBNA at HIS OWN brand new Presidential Center before the WNBA ALL STAR GAME in Chicago?

They had only crystal-clear multi-minute audio that drops within minutes of him appearing.

And we’re supposed to believe this was just spontaneous?

This is the same guy who sat on Bill Simmons’ podcast in 2020 and said
“Let’s stipulate women, generally, are SUPERIOR to men. And women athletes are no different… The women, they would be articulate and engaged and ask these policy questions. So I wasn’t surprised [the WNBA led on social justice.”

Obama has been treating the WNBA as a political vehicle for years.

This wasn’t a basketball moment.
It was a carefully timed political operation.

Do any of us ever know President Obama to be mic ed up with a lavaliere recently? We state media PBS recording it all.

Oh and President Trump also just hosted The Dodgers the day prior and was doing the White House Correspondents Dinner the same night.

Ultimately, it’s clear that the narrative surrounding the abuse, attacks, and assaults of Caitlin Clark by black lesbians in the WNBA has reached the mainstream.  Americans are outraged.  Obama had to step in and minimize the assaults by labeling them a media issue and covering up the racial and sexual abuse behind them.

The bigger point here is that when Obama was in his 20s, he was nothing but a stoner. He did nothing at that time, even remotely close to Clark. In her 20s, Clark is shattering women’s scoring and production records in the NCAA and WNBA.  When Obama was in his 20s, he was smoking dope.

Obama was a stoner when he was Clark’s age:

Long before he was president, Obama admitted in his 1995 memoir “Dreams of My Father” that he smoked marijuana in high school. “[I smoked] in a white classmate’s sparkling new van,” the former POTUS wrote (via ABC News). Obama did not smoke joints just to fit in. “I got high for just the opposite effect, something that could push questions of who I was out of my mind,” he wrote (via NBC News). More details of Obama’s marijuana usage were revealed while he was in office.

When he was in high school, Obama and friends were part of a crew dubbed “the Choom Gang” who had a few inventive games when smoking up. “Barry Obama was known for starting a few pot-smoking trends,” writer David Maraniss wrote in the 2012 biography “Barack Obama: The Story,” (via ABC News). The group often rolled around in a Volkswagen minibus they called the “Choom Wagon.” To best utilize their weed, Obama and his friends used to hotbox their ride. “When they were chooming in a car all the windows had to be rolled up so no smoke blew out and went to waste,” Maraniss wrote.

According to the biography, Obama was often eager to cut in during a weed circle. “[H]e often elbowed his way in, out of turn, shouted ‘Intercepted!,’ and took an extra hit,” Maraniss wrote. Smoking weed was not limited to Obama’s childhood, as he also imbibed in college.

When Barack Obama was in college he still smoked some marijuana, but apparently, it was far more tempered than his “Choom Gang” days. The fact that Obama had openly discussed smoking weed became news fodder when he was running for president in 2008. The New York Times spoke to some of his old friends and classmates to find out just how much pot was part of his college curriculum. “If someone passed him a joint, he would take a drag,” Vinai Thummalapally, who went to California State University at the same time as Obama.

In her early 20s, Clark is breaking basketball records, while Obama, in his early 20s, was too stoned to play the game.

The Gateway Pundit Endorsement: Perry Johnson for Governor of Michigan

Self-funded businessman and political outsider Perry Johnson has emerged as the strongest Republican candidate capable of defeating Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for governor of Michigan in November.

A Man of The People

Unlike his primary opponent, U.S. Rep. John James (R), Johnson has drawn a clear and public line against the rapid expansion of AI data centers. He is not simply repeating talking points — he is standing with the communities being overrun by constant noise, heavy truck traffic, falling property values, and the loss of local control.

Perry Johnson Vs. John James

Johnson recently appeared alongside Libertarian-leaning State Rep. Steve Carra in a Dowagiac neighborhood to highlight the real damage these projects are inflicting on residents. Carra has paid a steep political price for opposing AI data centers. Two organizations tied to Consumers Energy, Michigan’s largest utility, have reportedly already spent nearly $290,000 attacking him in the Republican primary. Faithful Conservatives for Michigan has spent approximately $138,700, while Citizens for Energizing Michigan’s Economy has spent roughly $149,800 promoting his primary opponent, Luke Lori.

According to Carra, he first learned of Consumers Energy’s plan to target him when House Speaker Matt Hall called him into his office to deliver the message. Perry Johnson learned of the situation and immediately stood with Carra. Johnson does not need Consumers Energy, DTE, or any other special interest to fund his campaign. Like President Trump, he is a successful self-funded businessman who answers only to the people of Michigan. And like President Trump, Perry refuses to take a penny of taxpayer dollars to fund his salary.

John James Is Weak on Election Integrity

Representative John James was the subject of a critical piece I wrote in November 2020 about then- US Senate candidate John James asking for donations for his legal defense after the crushing results of the highly questionable November 2020 election. As soon as he raised a substantial amount of money from everyday Americans who wanted to see justice for the voter fraud committed that they believed gave Joe Biden and Gary Peters inconceivable victories in Michigan, James conceded and thanked Gary Peters for a hard-fought race.

James had been leading Peters for much of Election Day before ultimately losing by a narrow margin. According to the Michigan State Police report tied to the GBI Strategies investigation, Gary Peters and Joe Biden were the primary funders of the fraudulent voter registration scheme uncovered in Muskegon only one month before the 2020 election. During a nationwide address last week, President Trump referenced that massive registration fraud investigation — which was covered up by Jocelyn Benson, Attorney General Dana Nessel, and local media — and called on the FBI to reopen the case and complete a full investigation.

Perry Johnson is Strong on Election Integrity and Is Receiving  Endorsements from Republicans, Independents, Libertarians and More

Although James proved that day he was a quitter and never took a stand against voter fraud again, President Trump, likely due to bad advice from advisors, endorsed James for the governor’s race. The ill-advised endorsement apparently hasn’t affected Michigan voters, as support for Perry is growing by leaps and bounds. A groundswell of support for Perry Johnson from former Republican gubernatorial candidates, grassroots, establishment Republicans, Democrats who don’t trust Jocelyn Benson and don’t want corporations running their state, and Libertarians has been noticeable, especially on social media, where we’re seeing one endorsement after another, while Johnson’s endorsements are curiously nowhere to be found.

Perry Johnson Won’t Owe Favors To Special Interests

That independence is why we are proud to endorse Perry Johnson for governor. He can walk into the office on day one and begin auditing state government, cutting wasteful spending, and working with the Legislature to eliminate the state income tax and reduce property taxes — without spending his time paying back donors. His only obligation will be to the citizens of Michigan.

Democratic Candidate for Governor Jocelyn Benson’s Conflict of Interest

Johnson’s willingness to confront powerful special interests stands in sharp contrast to Jocelyn Benson. Benson’s husband, Ryan Friedrichs, serves as a vice president at Related Companies, the firm developing the massive Oracle/OpenAI “Stargate” AI data center in Saline Township. Expert estimates suggest Friedrichs could have stood to gain as much as $70 million in commissions tied to the project, raising serious questions about whether Benson can fairly represent Michigan families when her own household is financially connected to the industry that is transforming rural communities against their will.

Ryan Friedrichs and his wife, MI SOS Jocelyn Benson

Friedrichs was previously at the center of a serious scandal while serving as Detroit’s Chief Development Officer under Mayor Mike Duggan. In 2019, government emails tied to a controversial city-backed nonprofit were deliberately deleted on orders that ran through him. Michigan’s partisan Attorney General Dana Nessel opened a criminal investigation into the destruction of public records, but the probe closed in 2021 with no charges. Friedrichs was disciplined by the city and soon left for a private-sector job with Related Companies — the same company now pushing data centers onto Michigan communities.

Perry Johnson Wants To Give Michigan’s Youth A Reason To Stay in The Great Lakes State

Perry and his wife Di have said one of the main reasons he is running is simple: they do not want their children forced to leave Michigan to find opportunity. They want the next generation to be able to work hard and achieve the American dream right here at home.

For these reasons, we proudly endorse Perry Johnson for Governor of Michigan — the only candidate we believe can defeat Jocelyn Benson and put Michigan families first.

Daniel Ogama Adongo, 37, from Kenya, a former linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts until 2015, has been removed from the United States, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Adongo has a criminal record that includes multiple arrests over the last decade, as well as a conviction of criminal mischief with damage in 2020, for which he was sentenced to a year in prison.

Adongo, who also overstayed his visa in 2016, has now been removed by the agency.

Per Fox News:

ICE said Adongo overstayed his visa in 2016 and under the Laken Riley act, signed by President Donald Trump last year, those in the country illegally are required to be detained without bond if convicted of certain crimes.

His other arrests include felony intimidation, battery and disorderly conduct, according to officials.

In March, Adongo was ordered to be removed by a Department of Justice immigration judge; the order was carried out on June 20.

ICE Chicago Assistant Field Office Director Douglas Thompson said in a statement, “This dangerous individual was clearly a threat to the community, which is now safer since he’s been removed. Those who violate immigration law are held equally accountable, including former professional athletes.”

Further, an ICE statement added, “Since Day One, DHS law enforcement has been delivering on President Trump’s promise to the American people to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens including murderers, rapists, child sex abusers, gang members, and terrorists.”

“Nearly 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. More than 3 million illegal aliens are out of the country and counting. Our message is clear: If you come to our country illegally, we will find you, we will arrest you, and we will deport you.”

ICE Chicago shared the message of his removal on X.

ABC News’ Chief Legal Analyst Dan Abrams Slams Talarico’s Radical Anti-Cop Record (Video)

Texas Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico proves, time and time again, that he is a radical with no place representing Texans in the Senate.

He once described himself as a “Christian who hates Christianity.”

Talarico has a lengthy record of insane comments in the past, including claims that “God is nonbinary,” there are six biological sexes, calls for Texans to reduce their meat consumption, anti-American flag rhetoric, calls for open borders, and saying he loves “trans children,” just to name a few.

In the lead up to the 250th anniversary of American Independence, he called the American flag is a “complicated symbol.”

During a recent segment of The Dan Abrams Show on SiriusXM, ABC News’ chief legal analyst slammed Talarico’s radical anti-cop record.

Abrams began, “It’s about Talarico, and it’s about the fact that I had thought that his plan was he was going to try and appeal to the middle more. Well, it seems when it comes to law enforcement, that’s not the case.”

“He’s pulling up the 2020 playbook again.”

“He was asked at a town hall about reparations for Black Americans and about whether there would be a crime bill that he might support that would also address the fact that the person asking the question felt that Blacks in this country are being treated unfairly by law enforcement.”

“Now, part of his answer is something that I know a lot about, all right, because in part it relates to a show that I used to host, and I am very familiar with the facts. So let’s play James Tallarico, a few days ago at the DeSoto town hall meeting. This is number 19.”

In the clip played by Abrams, Talarico states, “In the state legislature,  I had a constituent of mine murdered by the police. His name was Javier Ambler. He was an unarmed Black man who was pulled over for not dimming his brights. He told the officers that night that he had a heart condition. They tased him so many times that he died right in front of them. The whole thing was filmed for a reality TV show called Live PD. It’s kind of like Cops.”

“I worked with Javier Ambler’s family, his sister Kimberly. She and I started to do some digging, and we found that there’s an incredible amount of research on these reality TV policing programs. That these programs encourage more violent interactions between law enforcement and their constituents, particularly their Black constituents. And so Kimberly and I, we walked the halls of the legislature.”

“We went office to office, Democrats and Republicans alike, and we passed Javier Ambler’s Law, which bans reality TV policing in the state of Texas.”

“No longer, no longer can a reality TV show like Live PD or Cops contract with a law enforcement agency in Texas at any level—local, county, or state. But that same session, Representative Rose, you remember this—the George Floyd Act didn’t even make it to the House floor.”

“So while we made progress for Javier, while we made progress in banning these reality TV policing programs, we failed to pass the George Floyd Act, which would have been transformational in ensuring that police officers are actually protecting and serving all of us.”

“And I hope that when we win this seat, when we win a Senate majority, we will be able to pass federal legislation to protect all Americans from police violence, including our Black communities.”

Following the clip, Abrams, who hosted Live PD, noted, “There is so much in that comment that is untrue.”

“The police officers involved in the situation with Javier Ambler were not charged, were not indicted until the George Floyd incident happened.”

“And then suddenly the case was reevaluated, right? They looked at it again. And they ended up trying the four officers for manslaughter. All four of them were acquitted. All of them were acquitted.”

“Those cops should sue James Talarico for saying that they murdered Javier Ambler. It’s a lie.”

“They didn’t murder Javier Ambler.”

“You can talk about police procedure and whether they should have done it. Did they tase him too much? Have all the debate you want. Those officers were tried and very quickly acquitted.”
