Mayor Valentin Lavin was gunned down inside the city hall.

The security situation in Mexico continues to deteriorate, with even elected officials hunted down and killed at an alarming rate.

Since Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum took office back in October 2024, at least 14 sitting mayors have been assassinated.

Of those, three mayors were killed just in the first half of 2026.

In the latest chapter of this horrific saga, a small-town mayor in central Mexico was shot dead inside the town hall after surviving a previous assassination attempt.

CBS News reported:

“The town of Temoac is located in the state of Morelos, a region close to Mexico City where several drug cartels are active.

Mayor Valentin Lavin, who was allied to President Claudia Sheinbaum’s leftist party, had already survived an armed attack in January, according to local media reports.”

Forensic experts and police officers located his dead body inside local government facilities, the state prosecutor’s office said.

An operation to arrest those responsible for the crime was underway, it added in a statement.

People brought flowers to the city hall in honor of Lavin, who became one of almost 100 mayors murdered in Mexico since drug-related violence surged in 2006.

Far left Rep. Ayanna Pressley responded on Wednesday to the dead body found at her husband’s house last week, providing few details except that they “didn’t know” the victim. 

Instead, she touted her work advocating for “survivors of all crimes.”

“I’m just really centering the victim right now, and that’s what we all should be doing,” she said.

A Fox News reporter confronted Pressley, asking her for a reaction to the news on Wednesday.

“Well, you know, as the mother to an 18-year-old daughter, right now excitedly planning to take her to college for her freshman year, my heart is very heavy,” she responded.

“I’m devastated for the impacted family. This young girl who we didn’t know, 18 years old, sure had her own plans and dreams that have all been cut short.”

Pressley continued, “And as someone who has done the work, advocated, you know, for accountability and healing for survivors of all crimes, yeah, my heart is heavy. And I’m just really centering the victim right now, and that’s what we all should be doing.”

Pressley then walked away, refusing to answer whether she knew any further details.

As the Gateway Pundit reported, a dead body was recently found shot to death at a Boston home owned by Pressley’s ex-convict husband, Conan Harris. Neither Pressley nor Harris lived at the home.

Homicide detectives were brought in to investigate the case. The deceased was identified as 18-year-old Yoseliani Marte.

A spokesperson for Pressley previously said, “The Congresswoman extends her deepest condolences to the impacted family.”

President Trump is delivering remarks this afternoon at the Environmental Protection Agency Headquarters this afternoon, where he will make an announcement on the pledge to protect Americans from paying higher utility bills from data centers.

President Trump previously signed the Ratepayer Protection Pledge at a White House event with top administration officials and leading AI and technology companies.

“Today, we follow through on an announcement I made in my State of the Union address last week as America’s largest tech companies officially sign the Ratepayer Protection Pledge,” Trump said before signing the pledge. “It’s a big deal; it’s going to have a tremendous impact on electricity costs… Under this new agreement, Big Tech companies are committing to fully cover the cost of increased electricity production required for AI data centers — and that would mean prices for American communities will not go up, but in many cases, will actually come down.”

Trump is expected to announce an expansion of the pledge this afternoon with nearly 200 additional stakeholders to a pledge that covers 80% of all power delivered to U.S. households and businesses, the AP reports.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt previewed the President’s announcement alongside Energy Secretary Chris Wright, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, and governors who have signed onto the pledge during a press briefing earlier.

“The president will expand the ratepayer protection pledge to governors, state legislatures, developers, and power providers to ensure that everyone involved in building empowering data centers pays their own way instead of passing those costs on to hardworking families,” Leavitt said.

“Nearly 200 additional stakeholders have signed on since it was first announced, including utilities, data center developers, public power authorities, co-ops, and state governors. As a result, the pledge now covers 80 percent of all the power delivered to American homes and businesses.”

Leavitt added, “President Trump’s bold leadership is turning data centers from a source of concern into engines of growth and opportunity for communities across this country, all while cementing America’s dominance over China in the global AI race. The president is ensuring the American people are never left footing the bill, so private companies can benefit. Instead, President Trump is leveraging the data center boom to deliver real, tangible benefits for working families and small businesses.”

As the US attacks on Iran continue for the 12^th day, a surprising continuation in policy has taken place, with the new British Prime Minister, Andy Burham, allowing the use of UK bases by American military airplanes involved in the operations.

Today (23), it arises that the US deployed a B1 bomber from a British base, in the first such mission in Burnham’s premiership.

“The long-range plane was used to hit Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets, sources told Axios. The B1, which can carry two dozen 2,000lb bombs, took off from RAF Fairford on Tuesday, and was seen on plane-tracking websites.

“Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned Thursday that any British military base used by the US to launch attacks against Tehran will become a “legitimate target,” while accusing London of playing a major role in recent US and Israeli military operations.

In a statement, the IRGC said the US had recently resorted to using B-1 bombers flying from RAF Fairford in England after warships operating in the Indian Ocean exhausted their stock of cruise missiles.

‘Any base used for aggression against Iranian territory is a legitimate target for us’, the IRGC said.

It warned Britain ‘not to further worsen its record’, accusing London of being ‘a principal architect of instability’ in the Middle East, saying it had played one of the largest roles in the recent US and Israeli attacks on Iran.”

On June 18, 2026, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) wrote on X: “There has not been a bigger government scandal during my lifetime, and yet even now that we have documented proof of corruption, most of the legacy media refuses to report on it.”

The congressman was referring to his April 29 hearing, highlighting how Biden’s health officials intentionally ignored safety signals regarding COVID-19. Associated with the shot, there have been countless incidents of sudden cardiac death, pulmonary infarction, cerebral artery occlusion, basal ganglia stroke, and agonal rhythm, for example.

Earlier this month, a newly published peer-reviewed study in the International Journal of Innovative Research in Medical Science officially validated the phenomenon of postmortem blood clots that The Gateway Pundit has been reporting on for several years.

The published study was carried out by retired U.S. Air Force Major Thomas F. Haviland, who is a data analyst and mathematician, along with independent researchers Lauro Kasner and Dr. Daniel Santiago, a Doctor of Pharmacy. The researchers performed four annual cross-sectional surveys (2022–2025) targeting active embalmers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

The aim of their study was to record, via anonymous surveys, the frequency of reported sightings of these strange white fibrous structures, the percentage of corpses impacted, and the timeline of their initial appearance.

Starting in 2020–2021, embalmers and funeral directors from various countries began to notice “large, tough, rubbery white or off-white fibrous structures in the veins and arteries of embalmed corpses,” which they identified as being different from traditional postmortem clots. These structures were described as “larger, more extensive, tougher, and different in color and handling from traditional chicken-fat or currant-jelly clots.” Some measured several inches to more than a foot long, occasionally reaching the length of a limb.

The study indicated that, between 2022 and 2025, “across 808 total responses [to the survey], the proportion of embalmers reporting observation of these structures ranged from 66% to 83%. Weighted average prevalence in affected corpses ranged from 19% to 27%.” Among those who had witnessed them, only 14–17% claimed to have seen them in 2018 or 2019, which rose to 37% in 2020 and reached 80% in 2021.

When the results from multiple years are aggregated, 75.2% of embalmers indicated they had seen white fibrous clots, with these structures estimated to be found in 23.4% of all embalmed bodies.

Notably, the emergence of these fibrous clots coincided with the global rollout of COVID-19 vaccinations, with a marked increase in reports beginning in 2020, which accelerated in 2021. This surge aligned with the worldwide rollout of the COVID-19 shot.

Only through honest scientific inquiry can the public hope to understand the broader health implications and address their concerns surrounding this phenomenon. Therefore, to explore the structures and accurately assess whether the public’s beliefs about their origin are correct, these findings require additional examination by forensic pathologists and biomedical researchers.

What’s more, as Sen. Johnson questioned in his X post, “How many deaths and injuries could have been avoided had federal health officials simply done the job we paid them to do?”

He views the negligence towards safety warnings as one of the greatest government scandals of his lifetime, “one that is crying out for full media attention and coverage.” The Gateway Pundit earnestly requests a thorough investigation into the high occurrence of white fibrous structures discovered in the veins and arteries of deceased individuals and the outlet would be more than happy to make those results public.
