BREAKING: Florida AG James Uthmeier Launches State-Level Investigation Into Anthony Fauci: “It’s Past Time We Get the Truth”

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier just dropped the hammer on Dr. Anthony Fauci.

In a post on X on Wednesday, the Free State of Florida’s top law enforcement officer announced that his office is launching a formal state-level investigation into the former NIAID director following Fauci’s stunning refusal to answer questions under oath before Congress.

“Fauci’s lack of candor to Congress is unbelievable,” Uthmeier wrote. “My office is launching an investigation into Dr. Fauci. It’s past time we get the truth of what happened during COVID.”

The announcement comes hours after Fauci appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by longtime Fauci critic Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).

Faced with pointed questions about gain-of-function research, the origins of COVID-19, his agency’s funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and his own contradictory diary entries, the 85-year-old Fauci repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment, declining to answer more than 50 times and, according to some reports, over 100 times.

Fauci claimed Sen. Paul had an “unhinged obsession” with prosecuting him and that the hearing was designed to trap him into perjury.

Paul and other Republicans noted that former President Joe Biden’s last-minute preemptive pardon of Fauci does not erase the record, does not prevent new perjury charges for today’s testimony, and most importantly, does nothing to shield him from state-level prosecutions.

Rep. Paulina Luna called on state Attorney Generals to bring charges against Dr. “Mengele” Fauci for his crimes against humanity.

There is NO JUSTICE unless he is held responsible for the crimes HE committed against HUMANITY.

The American people, and especially the families who lost loved ones, the children whose education was destroyed, and the small business owners crushed by Fauci’s policies, deserve the truth. Florida is once again leading the way.
