Fifteen New York sheriffs are suing Gov. Kathy Hochul over a state law that took effect this week banning formal agreements between local governments and federal agencies.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform in Washington, D.C., filed the lawsuit on behalf of the sheriffs of St. Lawrence, Wayne, Broome, Madison, Cattaraugus, Orange, Jefferson, Saratoga, Lewis, Franklin, Delaware, Fulton, Oswego, Cayuga and Rensselaer counties, according to the Albany Times-Union.

Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin said Hochul had “escalated her administration’s war on the police and she expanded policies to put criminals before the citizens of New York.”

“Under the New York Constitution’s guarantees of Home Rule (Article IX) and Separation of Powers, and under the independent status of their office, they possess the authority to make their own judgments about whether and how to participate in the cooperative framework Congress created,” the lawsuit said, according to WSTM-TV.

The lawsuit said the constitutional overreach to ban what are known as 287(g) agreements harms public safety.

“Together, these provisions do more than express a policy preference,” the lawsuit states.

“They nullify the ability of independently elected constitutional officers to enter into contracts authorized by federal law. In doing so, they subject those officers’ core law-enforcement judgments to centralized state oversight and control. The resulting harm is imminent and irreparable,” the lawsuit said, according to the Times-Union.

The lawsuit wants an injunction to prevent enforcement of the law as the court battle over its constitutionality moves forward.

Hochul, trying to rally voters as she faces an election battle for a second term, called the law a “stand against ICE overreach.”

“We will not sit idly by when ICE commits atrocities on our streets,” she said, while insisting that cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement would take place when necessary.

“Let me be clear: any police department or sheriff’s office that disobeys this law, that maintains any agreement with ICE, will face legal action,” Hochul said.

“And to those suing us, those trying to block the implementation of this law, (you) tried before and failed. Our law has been already upheld by courts. But if you’re trying it again, I say bring it on. Courts have already spoken, but I’m confident we’ll win again,” she said.

McLaughlin said illegal immigrants detained in his county  “did something serious enough to land in our jail. All we do is run them through a federal (law enforcement) database to find out what other crimes they may have committed. … In effect, this governor is trying to give special privileges to illegal aliens by not running them through the same databases we run Americans through.”

The law also faces a challenge from the U.S. Department of Justice, which lost its effort to have a temporary injunction issued to block the law from taking effect.

Republican Rep. Nick Langworthy of New York took New York Attorney General Letitia James to task for her role in coming down on any police agency that wants to work with ICE.

“The Attorney General’s job is to be the chief law enforcement of the state, not to go to war with her law enforcement partners. Our sheriffs are on the frontlines of keeping our communities safe from dangerous criminals and they should be supported not prevented from working with federal law enforcement to do their jobs. Disgraceful,” he posted on Facebook.

The jurors in the Lindsay Clancy case were dismissed Thursday afternoon without a verdict and will return Friday morning.

The jury was composed of nine women and three men.

During closing arguments, Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague delivered a powerful statement arguing why the jury should find Clancy guilty of first-degree murder.

The New York Post reported that one of the female jurors was in tears as Sprague spoke.

“She knew that he (3-year-old Dawson) was less likely to be compliant to just go along,” Sprague told the jury. “She knew that he might struggle, and so it made sense rationally to remove him and separate him first and kill him first.”

“This wasn’t a woman suffering from a lack of care,” Sprague added. “A lack of resources. She had an abundance of help. She had all of that and more.”

During preliminary jury instructions, Judge William Sullivan told jurors that if Clancy were found not criminally responsible, she would likely be committed to a mental institution.

This could have lasted the rest of her life.

“The defendant may remain committed for the duration of her life,” Judge Sullivan said.

The judge also overruled the prosecution and instructed jurors that they could choose “Manslaughter” as an option on their verdict forms.

As TGP readers know, the 36-year-old Clancy was on trial for killing her three young children, Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, eight months old, inside their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home on January 24, 2023.

Clancy’s attorneys never disputed that she strangled the children with exercise bands, but argued that she should be found not guilty by reason of insanity. She pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder, arguing that she should be found not criminally responsible because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Prosecutors, though, said Clancy understood that her actions were wrong and intentionally sent her husband, Patrick, away to pick up food and medication before choking the life out of her little children.

She then jumped from a second-story window in an effort to kill herself. Instead, she was left paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.

Both sides, though, agreed Clancy had postpartum mental health issues beginning in September 2022. As CNN notes, a “mental disease or defect” under Massachusetts law does NOT need to fit into a formal medical diagnosis.

The defense’s closing argument, however, was viewed as less effective by multiple court observers. Notably, Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, called her a “da*n good mother” even though she killed her own kids.

He also added during an interview that letting his client walk free would prove a victory for “women’s rights.”

Indeed, many liberal women rallied in Clancy’s defense. For example, hundreds of women wearing pink previously lined the street outside Plymouth County Courthouse, carrying signs reading “She Needed Help” and declaring their support for Clancy.

Thousands of GoFundMe donors also raised over $1 million for Clancy’s parents in just 11 days. Many also left glowing comments toward a woman who admittedly killed her own children.

Woke females on TikTok even posted videos defending Clancy while holding their own children. Some also defamed her ex-husband, Patrick, by falsely accusing him of being the killer.

Two air traffic controllers left work early the night of the deadly collision at New York’s LaGuardia Airport earlier this year.

A plane collided with a firetruck at New York’s LaGuardia Airport in March, killing two pilots.

One Canadian flight attendant who was ejected from the plane miraculously survived.

In March, senior Aviation investigators released preliminary findings on what led up to the deadly collision between an Air Canada plane and a firetruck at LaGuardia’s Airport.

Footage of the plane crash shows the Air Canada flight barreling down the tarmac right before it collides with the emergency vehicle.

“Stop, Truck 1. Stop,” the transmission said. “Frontier 4195, stop there please. “Stop, stop, stop, stop,” an air traffic controller can be heard saying over the radio transmission.

The truck didn’t stop in time.

It is unclear if the driver of the firetruck hit the brakes or tried to maneuver out of the way before the collision.

According to CBC, the pilots who died in the crash were identified as pilot Antoine Forest from Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec, and co-pilot MacKenzie Gunther.

The deceased pilots were described as “two young men at the start of their careers.”

Aviation investigators revealed that the firetruck lacked a transponder so the tower couldn’t track the vehicle.

On the Ukrainian side, Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed two very capable commanders to lead the final defense of these bastions: 1st Azov Corps commander Denis ‘Redis’ Prokopenko and Andriy Biletsky (3rd Army Corps commander).

Zelensky’s decision makes a lot of sense, but the problem is that, in order to report on this development, the Globalist MSM have to completely whitewash the Nazi ideology of these military commanders.

In this world, no one is allowed to escape their own history: Italian PM Giorgia Meloni’s party is a direct descendant of a Fascist group – and we know that.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is a former KGB agent – and we know that.

So, Prokopenko and Biletsky can’t be shielded from the fact that they belong to Nazi organizations that are active and powerful inside Ukraine.

After their near-annihilation during the siege of Mariupol, the Azov regiment was re-established and expanded into a brigade, eventually becoming the 1st Azov Corps and the foundation of the 3rd Army Corps.

But when it comes to the Reuters report, there’s no mention of the very obvious biographical facts about the two commanders:

Nigerian troops arrested 24-year-old hunter Emmanuel Daniel on August 22 after residents of the DTV area in Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State, reported hearing gunshots. Upon arriving at the scene, soldiers found Daniel in possession of a Dane gun, a homemade, single-shot muzzle-loader commonly used for hunting.

He told them he had fired the weapon while hunting. Photos from the scene show Daniel holding a dead pigeon alongside the confiscated muzzle-loader, consistent with his account. He and the weapon remain in military custody.

Two days after a Fulani attack killed at least 24 residents of Bin-Per, a Christian village in Mangu LGA, soldiers moved against a community leader in nearby Chakfem, according to Mathias Sokden, director of the Cultural Mogavul Development Association.

Fulani gunmen attacked the Bin-Per community in Kombun District between 11:30 p.m. on August 17 and the early hours of August 18, 2026. They opened fire on local vigilantes before splitting into groups and moving from house to house. The attackers also burned homes and farmland.

During a plenary session of the Plateau House of Assembly, the member representing Mangu South, Dr. Matthew Sylvester Kwarpo, said more than 25 people were killed in Bin-Per and one more in nearby Jwak and Murish. He said 38 houses were burned and grain stores and farmland were destroyed.

Following the victims’ mass burial, dozens of women staged a protest demanding government protection. The rights group PIDAN said in a statement that “condolences are no substitute for security,” calling the recurring pattern of attacks “intolerable.”

Among the dead were the wife and three sons of Shadrach Ayuba, a village watchman who was on vigilante duty when the attack began. Ayuba escaped with a gunshot wound to the leg after swimming across a river to reach a neighboring village, according to an interview published by The Gateway Pundit days after the attack.

A separate account from the same report provides further details about the scale of the assault, citing allegations from a community leader that the Bin-Per attackers numbered more than 500. Similar attacks involving watchmen armed only with homemade muskets facing much larger groups equipped with AK-47s have occurred elsewhere in Plateau State, as previously documented following an August 5 attack in Riyom LGA.

Sokden reported that troops arrived at the Chakfem community leader’s home around midnight on August 20, acting on intelligence alleging that he was involved in cattle rustling. The troops then searched the surrounding community. According to Sokden, no evidence of rustling was found, but soldiers confiscated weapons the leader had held in trust for Chakfem’s defense.

By his count, the weapons included roughly seven locally made firearms, one fabricated weapon, and several AK-47s. He also stated that a drone was used to survey the leader’s house before the raid.

The Nigerian Army provided a different account, reported separately by TheGuildNG. It identified the suspect as Pantong Stanley of Mwar Community in Chakfem Kingdom and said a manhunt for him remained underway. According to the Army, troops recovered five firearms and 15 rounds of ammunition during a raid prompted by intelligence linking Stanley and other youths to cattle rustling and a planned attack on residents. The Army described the operation as part of a broader effort to curb illegal firearms in the area.

The raid left Chakfem “in total confusion” and vulnerable because the confiscated weapons were the community’s primary means of defense against Fulani attacks, according to Sokden. He suspects that someone within the community alerted security forces to the weapons cache. In his view, “enemies of communities,” insiders who knew the town had armed itself, passed along the information, leaving residents exposed.

The Irigwe Youth Movement is a Christian advocacy group representing farming communities in Bassa LGA, Plateau State. For years, it has petitioned successive Plateau governors to empower village vigilantes and increase troop deployments rather than calling for the communities themselves to be armed.

In response to the ongoing disarmament operations in Christian communities, the group called on the Army to focus its efforts on Fulani herdsmen carrying AK-47s rather than villagers defending themselves with locally made weapons. It said it hoped to see Operation ENDURING PEACE “arresting the Fulanis killing our people with AK-47s” across Bassa, Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos South, Mangu, Bokkos, and other parts of Plateau State.

Operation ENDURING PEACE is the Nigerian military’s joint task force for the state. Launched in September 2025 as a rebranding of the former Operation Safe Haven, it is tasked with countering the wave of attacks on farming communities. These attacks are officially described as “banditry” and “communal violence,” although they have overwhelmingly involved Fulani militia raids on Christian villages.

Both incidents fit a broader pattern documented across Plateau, Benue, and Nasarawa states. Security operations targeting locally made firearms, including Dane guns, fabricated pistols, and single-barrel rifles, rarely distinguish between criminal use and community self-defense. Meanwhile, AK-47s recovered from attackers in the same region are typically recorded as trafficked weapons connected to banditry rather than as the primary tools of anti-Christian violence.
