A horrific tragedy struck in the state of Montana as an evil man committed one of the most heinous crimes imaginable.
As The New York Post reported, police were called to a house in Billings just after 6 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports of a shooting along with a family disturbance.
When authorities arrived at the scene roughly ten minutes later, they heard gunfire from the back of the house, which was already on fire.
They then saw a male in the backyard and heard even more gunfire. Three minutes later, the home was engulfed in flames.
Police later discovered that the unknown gunman had slaughtered eight members of the family, including multiple children. These family members were trapped inside as the house burned to the ground.
“When the fire was observed in the structure, fire suppression efforts took priority as the fire blocked any reasonable attempt to rescue or recover victims,” Billings Police Department Assistant Chief Shawn Mayo said at a news conference on Monday.
The father, Adam Ghekiere, the mother, Erica Jarussi Schneider, and the stepfather, Danny, were not at the scene. All are reportedly unharmed.
One person survived the attack and was rushed to the hospital, but their condition is unknown.
The Daily Mail reports that the gunman was found dead near the house after shooting himself in the head.
It’s not yet known how the gunman was related to the family.
A GoFundMe set up by a friend of the family identified two of the victims as 12-year-old Charlotte Gheikere and her 15-year-old brother Landon.
“Our community lost two of its brightest lights, Landon and Charlotte, along with six other family members, in a senseless act of violence,” the GoFundMe reads.
“These two precious children leave behind a hole that is impossible to comprehend, along with a family facing unimaginable grief.”
The New York Post reports another press conference is scheduled for Wednesday.
Police say they will provide more information about the victims and possible motives.

US Air Force Major Jason Watson calls for Trump’s impeachment in uniform
A member of the U.S. Air Force is facing significant and rare charges after using his position to demand President Trump’s impeachment and removal from office.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson previously reported, Jason Watson, a US Air Force Major who attended the US Air Force Academy, was arrested following a press conference in July that was sponsored by far-left lunatic Rep. Al Green (D-TX), where he called for his boss, the commander in chief, to be removed and convicted.
He started his speech at the press conference with the oath of office before tearing into the President, describing the American people as “the greatest threat to our Democratic Republic,” arguing that “We have all played a part, myself included, in getting ourselves into this mess.”
Watson continued, “For the past 18 months, we the people have allowed the highest levels of the executive branch of the federal government to violate our Constitution and their oath to it with impunity,” while accusing Trump of “innumerable” impeachable offenses.
He went on to spew left-wing talking points about military operations against Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran, cuts to USAID, immigration enforcement, federal law enforcement’s efforts to subdue violent rioters, lawsuits against media companies and universities, tariffs, and even the UFC fight on the White House lawn.
He was detained AGAIN last week for continuing to advocate for Trump’s impeachment.
On Monday, Watson was hit with a whopping 10 criminal military charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for his disgusting actions.
His attorney, Christopher Mutimer, revealed the following charges his client faced to Newsweek.
• Three violations of Article 88 for alleged “contemptuous” remarks about the president
• Five violations of Article 92 for allegedly disobeying orders
• Two violations of Article 133 for alleged conduct unbecoming of an officer
The use of Article 88 is exceptionally rare. Only two such convictions have occurred since the modern Uniform Code of Military Justice was enacted in 1951.
Watson is also the first major in the history of the military to be charged under Article 88.
CNN reports that the Article 88 charges are connected to a June interview Watson did with the Defenders of our Republic Substack newsletter, his protest in uniform at the US Capitol, and an August 17 CNN interview.

Newsweek reports that the Article 92 charges allege that Watson violated Defense Department regulations barring troops from speaking out on partisan politics.
Moreover, these charges allege that Watson wrongfully wore his uniform at the Capitol, violated leave regulations by traveling to D.C., and refused to wear his uniform after his CNN interview.
The two Article 133 charges allege that both the protest and the interview constituted conduct unbecoming of an officer.
The 40-year-old Watson could be dismissed from the military and forfeit his benefits if convicted.

Off Target: Popular Retail Store Pulls “Offensive” Halloween Costume From Stores – Issues Public Apology

Target has spent the last several years learning an uncomfortable lesson about corporate activism: once a company decides to enter the culture war, there may not be an easy way out.
The retail giant is once again facing controversy after pulling a Halloween costume that critics reportedly complained was offensive to black Americans, making only the latest political headache for a company that has repeatedly found itself caught between progressive activists demanding that it embrace ‘social justice’ and everyday conservative customers demanding it simply sell products without turning the checkout aisle into a political statement.
Target has publicly apologized for selling an “offensive” Halloween costume that was “especially hurtful for [its] Black guests, team members and partners.”
The brand stated in its apology on X:
An apology from us: We pulled an offensive Halloween costume that should never have been part of our assortment. It is no longer for sale. As a company, we got this wrong, and we are deeply sorry. We know this is especially hurtful for our Black guests, team members and partners.…
Apparently, the costume appears to resemble a painting depicting actor Thomas Dartmouth Rice, who made famous a fictional character named “Jim Crow” in the 1830s. The character donned ‘blackface’ and performed as a singing comedian with a stereotypical accent.
Other than a single painting from the Jim Crow era that strikes a similar pose, the resemblance is questionable. One X user stated, “It had to go through several people for approval, and nobody thought there was anything wrong with it.”
This is another speed bump in the road of political and cultural activism by the brand. And once you travel that road, it’s seemingly impossible to take an offramp.
Just yesterday, American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten called on parents to boycott Target for back-to-school supplies, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
When Target failed to condemn ICE raids in Minnesota, Weingarten said in a statement, “We gave Target ample time to stand with the communities in which they operate and help their neighbors, but its silence about federal immigration abuses has been deafening.”
The AFT President went as far as creating a website called “Shop Smart, Not Target” with the big-box retailer in the crosshairs.
Last week, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent blasted Target for taking a $1 billion tariff refund, a policy of President Trump that was proclaimed a “tax on the people” by the Mockingbird Media establishment since President Trump announced his plans after assuming office.
In 2023, Target was the focal point of protests and boycotts over its "Pride" merchandise, particularly transgender products that were marketed prominently in the store that many argued were inappropriate for children.
This was preceded by years of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies that rippled through political circles and became a focal point of the Biden administration.
Over the last several years, Target has made one thing perfectly clear: when a corporation spends years suggesting to customers that shopping is a political and cultural statement, customers eventually start to believe it. And from there, every decision fits into one of those categories.

Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has sparked a work-life balance debate in Japan by revealing that she gets by with no sleep, or as little as three hours of rest.
Critics see Takaichi as ‘increasingly secluding herself at home’, but she defended working in her official residence – next to her office – to maximize efficiency.
She says it allows her to work long hours with less of a burden on her staff.

Takaichi said she has reinforced office functions at the residence so she can work and have meetings there remotely or in person with her staff whenever needed, even after office hours. She also takes home documents to read. ‘To me, the official residence is also a workplace’, she said.”
She is now facing criticisms that for ‘setting a wrong example for a work-life balance and gender-equality’, and also for ‘having significantly less interactions and communication with other lawmakers and officials than her predecessors’.

As the Alternative for Germany (AfD) continues to lead the polls in Germany, the establishment parties and left-wing NGO network are in full panic mode. Now, German Soros NGO “Campact” has issued a blacklist of “right-wing” news sites, podcasters, and YouTubers, and threatened advertisers unless they join their boycott.
The way it looks now, history will be made in the East German state of Saxony-Anhalt on Sept. 6 when voters elect a new state assembly. The right-wing AfD party is leading the polls at 43% with their extremely likable and personable candidate Ulrich Siegmund, who gathered thousands of supporters over the weekend in a rock-concert style atmosphere.

If the AfD wins an absolute majority in Saxony-Anhalt in two weeks and Ulrich Siegmund becomes the first German state governor, it will mark a historic shift in European politics. Not only will the AfD be able to demonstrate whether they can govern a state effectively, but they will also be able to ditch the state broadcast treaty that underlies the German BBC-style public broadcasting network. Left-wing German pubwebs ARD and ZDF have long abandoned any pretense of objective reporting and campaign outright against the largest opposition party, the AfD.
Over the weekend, charming man-of-the-people Ulrich Siegmund was able to completely disarm ZDF TV “comedian” Fabian Köhler, who tried to frame him with asinine “Gotcha” questions – such as asking if Siegmund “prefers the Hitler Youth anthem to the East German communist anthem?”, or if he would “wait for a blonde, blue-eyed doctor” if he had a heart attack.
“Are you serious? Is this supposed to be funny?” Siegmund roasted the left-wing comedian to the jeers of his supporters and voters. This exchange was widely distributed on X by alternative media channels, backfiring completely and making the leftie reporter look like the fool he is.
So now the lead Soros-funded NGO “Campact” (fashioned after Podesta/Soros-funded “MoveOn”) has unleashed a boycott campaign against those pesky alternative media channels, calling for advertisers to boycott a list of 62 successful channels it views as “far-right”. The evidence is usually only a link to an AfD-related report or a left-wing Antifa hit piece.
The list published by Politico sister newspaper “Welt” includes virtually all major alternative media sites: NIUS, ApolloNews, Kontrafunk radio, Epoch Times Germany, Tichys Einblick, Swiss Weltwoche, as well as prominent AfD politicians including Alice Weidel, Ulrich Siegmund, Beatrix von Storch, Maximilian Krah, Petr Bystron, and Martin Sichert, a Bundestag delegate who is being excluded from running for office in Lower Saxony on Sept. 13 due to spurious allegations of extremism.
Establishment parties have unleashed a campaign to exclude at least 4 AfD candidates from running in local elections in Lower Saxony, home of Volkswagen (The Gateway Pundit reported.) Yesterday, the local administrative court in Wilhelmshaven rejected an emergency stay on the ban of AfD mayoral candidate Thorsten Morisse. This is in addition to constant threats of violence AfD candidates face from masked “Anti”-Fascist street militias, plus debanking, deplatforming, canceling, loss of jobs and livelihood, and character assassination via mainstream media hit pieces.
In August, the vice-chair of the German police union GdP Sven Hüber warned that police may have to “prepare to restore constitutional order” by declaring a “state of emergency” in Saxony-Anhalt should the wrong party win: A clear call to “insurrection”.
Then it was revealed that Hüber is a former East German border patrol commander and Communist “political officer” accused of ordering the abuse of dissidents and refugees before the Fall of the Wall in 1989.
Campact reports it has put pressure on 90 advertisers to join the boycott, of which 30 companies have already agreed to join the blacklist of patriotic media.
The companies joining the boycott include major corporations which do business in the United States: Procter & Gamble, discount retailer ALDI, and French insurance corp. AXA (US: Equitable Insurance Co.), DEVK Insurance Corp, US jobs website Indeed, and "Resident Evil" producer Constantin Film. The Gateway Pundit readers are encouraged to politely inform these companies that Free Speech is not optional in the United States of America and consider taking their business elsewhere.
"Campact" received $300,000 from George Soros' Open Society Foundation 2021, including $150,000 for the censorship NGO "HateAid", of which it owns 50% of. Its censorship subsidiary "HateAid" works closely with the German federal government and received €2,516,218,80 in the years 2021-2023 from the Justice Ministry and Family Ministry.
Campact insists that it is not federally funded, but its subsidiary HateAid acknowledges it receives 21.4 % of its funding from the German government (2024). HateAid has been designated a "Trusted Flagger" by the German federal network agency Bundesnetzagentur, and HateAid Co-GM Josefine Ballon sits on the Bundesnetzagentur advisory board. On Dec 23, 2025, the US State Department imposed sanctions on HateAid Co-GMs Anna-Lena von Hodenberg and Josefine Ballon.
Since Open Society explicitly channels funding to HateAid via Campact, it seems hard to argue that the organizations are not co-funded, meaning the German federal government is funding an NGO complex that is trying to influence elections, censor free speech online and boycott conservative media.
"The legacy parties and their taxpayer-funded NGO network are panicking ahead of two major state elections in eastern Germany, where the AfD is the most popular party and may even assume the State government," AfD vice-chair in the Bundestag Beatrix von Storch told The Gateway Pundit.
"As with Donald Trump's elections, they will resort to all sorts of underhanded machinations to prevent the voters from getting what they want. They say they are afraid for Democracy, but they are actually afraid of Democracy. Fortunately, the German voters have seen through this charade, and there's nothing they can do to stop the people from getting their way."
