Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to talk about the IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix taking place in Washington DC on Sunday.
Secretary Duffy talked about the planning and effort it took to put together the race in the Nation’s Capital.
“You were a key player in actually getting this thing done. I mean, there was a point in which it didn’t look like it was gonna happen,” Bream said.
“The original course would have needed permission from Congress. Couldn’t get it. How close did we come to not having it?” Bream asked.
“That original course was supposed to go around the Capitol, between the Capitol and the Supreme Court, and we were days away because the barriers, as you see around the track, had to be ordered. They are expensive, and they have to be ordered in advance,” Duffy said.
“We had, I think, three or four days left to order them, and if we didn’t get the order in, the event was gonna go down,” Duffy explained.
Secretary Duffy explained he liked the new track they decided on, with the help of Penske Team’s Bud Denker.
“In a snowstorm in DC, it was in January, he came out, he walked the track in the snowstorm,” Duffy said.
“I think this is better. The view of the Capitol behind us,” Duffy said.
“I think this venue is probably better than the original thought anyway,” Duffy continued.
There were other logistical things that had to be dealt with, which included securing manhole covers that were on the race track.
“There is a lot of logistical stuff that has to happen that people may not realize. The Athletic Report says, ‘there are 270 manhole covers on the course that need to be fastened with a special clamp-but 49 are sunken into the ground, which requires them to be filled to the level of the road with a silicone epoxy,’” Bream said.
“How does that get done?” Bream asked.
“So, again, the Penske crew is amazing. They come in and not only secure the manhole covers, but around the manholes and other places, you have different rises and bumps on the roadway. This is a street,” Duffy said.
“They had to actually grind the bumps out to minimize the cars getting any lift as they are going down the street. So, a lot of work to make this track work as best as possible,” Duffy said.

They haven’t moved to the UK yet, but the problems have already started.
When it was announced – some four days ago – that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children would be returning to Britain after their dramatic departure six years ago, the British (and World) press went crazy.
The articles and op-eds multiply, with a never-ending stream of questions being raised.
Would Harry ‘keep his mouth shut’ to mend his relationship with his father, the King? Or would he continue to give interviews attacking the Royal Family?
Would the British taxpayer pay for their security costs?
Would they be invited to the King’s Christmas in Balmoral?
But the reaction of the public in the UK was, unfortunately, not good – and a couple of days later it arises that Meghan Markle has been ‘dropped from consideration’ to join ‘The Gentlemen’.
“In a column published Saturday on Substack, Brown, the former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, wrote, ‘I learned this morning that the casting of Meghan Markle in season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen has been withdrawn. The backlash in the UK was so intense, it became untenable to go forward. This does not bode well for Meghan’s acting comeback in the UK’.”
The Telegraph was not so definitive in their report:
“The Telegraph also understands the deal could collapse after public reaction to the revelation, which would have marked a return to acting for the Duchess after 10 years.
It is understood that the hesitation is coming from Netflix, which declined to comment, or the Sussexes, who have not commented, and not the team behind The Gentlemen, who anticipated a large public response to the news.”

President Trump and First Lady Melania attended the Freedom 250 Freedom Grand Prix at the National Mall on Sunday.
“For over 100 years, American INDYCAR racing has set the pace for motor sports. With speeds topping over 200 miles per hour, the cars and drivers inspire awe and respect in all who watch this quintessentially American sport,” Trump said earlier this year in an executive order on celebrating 200 years of freedom.
“INDYCAR racing is a source of pride and entertainment for our Nation, which is why I am pleased to announce the Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C.,” Trump said.
The President and Melania watched as a bald eagle named “Lincoln” soared over the crowd during the singing of God Bless America as part of the pre-race ceremony.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy waved the checkered flag as Kyle Kirkwood won the Grand Prix.

Rep Brandon Gill was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with guest host Jason Chaffetz to talk about the push for accountability with Dr. Anthony Fauci and other government officials involved in the mishandling of the COVID pandemic.
Rep Gill challenged the pardon based on the autopen signature, which brings into question who actually authorized the signature.
“Tell us what you are seeing here?” Chaffetz asked.
“The reality is, there are a lot of other people in that food chain. What do you see with Morens, and what do you see happening potentially to others?” Chaffetz asked.
“Well, you are exactly right. It’s not just Fauci or Morens. I think there are several other people involved here. It seems to be virtually his entire team,” Gill said.
“I think the most defensive part about this is that this entire time, if any American spoke out against Covid lockdowns, against the Covid vaccine, against where or spoke openly about where Covid actually originated from, they were not only kicked off of social media, not allowed of course on left-wing media outlets, but often times were virtually shunned from civil society for saying the things that these government officials often times knew about, but were hiding from the American people,” Gill explained.
“This is as tyrannical as it possibly gets, and people’s lives were ruined with this. And these people ought to be held accountable,” Gill continued.
“I’m glad that Fauci was held in contempt. I want to see this guy go to jail, and I’d like to see, learn more about who knew what in the Fauci orbit, and make sure that they are held accountable as well,” Gill said.
“The reason they haven’t arrested Dr. Fauci or hasn’t been charged is because he was granted a pardon, but that pardon was done on an autopen. Is that a valid way? And why not test it?” Chaffetz asked.
“Or should we just accept the idea that autopen pardons were just legal and lawful?” Chaffetz asked.
“No, I think most Americans, whenever they hear autopen pardon, kind of take a step back and wonder what in the world is going on in Washington? How is the President signing pardons, or who is signing pardons on the President’s behalf?” Gill asked.
“I think there is absolutely a legitimate case that we ought to test these autopen pardons. The legality of these in court. Let the courts decide that, but we ought to get, put the effort in to actually bring that forward,” Gill explained.
“The American people are so sick of, they are so sick of a lack of accountability,” Gill said.
“Whenever unelected bureaucrats are signing pardons on the President’s behalf, there is by definition no democratic accountability, and that has to change,” Gill continued.

NFL Legend Harrison Butker Kicks 69-Yard Preseason Field Goal

The left-leaning media hate having to cover anything positive about Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker.
His crime?
Daring to uphold and express the very Catholic teachings that should resonate through the halls of Benedictine College 2024 during a commencement ceremony speech.
Butker delivered a powerful message on the dignity of life, masculinity, and the most important role of all: motherhood.
During his speech, Butker criticized the moral decay under the Biden regime, highlighting the contradiction between Biden’s open Catholic faith and his support for abortion rights. He labeled this a “delusional” act, arguing it deceives the public about being both a Catholic and pro-abortion.
The left called for Butker to apologize or lose his job after he professed his faith at a Catholic university’s commencement.
The Chiefs, however, renewed Butker’s contract, making him, at the time, the highest-paid kicker in the league.
Despite the backlash, Butker has continued to defend the speech and reiterated his commitment to his Catholic faith.
During a speech at the “Courage Under Fire Gala” hosted by Regina Caeli Academy, Butker said, “If it wasn’t clear that the timeless Catholic values are hated by many, it is now.”
Butker’s preseason performance has put him back in the spotlight.
On Saturday, during a Chiefs preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Butker kicked a 69-yard field goal.

Butker’s official career long is 62 yards.

Nigeria Christian Community Leader Alleges Land-Grab Agenda Behind Massacres

Twenty-six Christians were buried in a mass grave following the August attack on Bin Per, carried out by Fulani Islamists. Sokden Mathias, 52, Director of the Cultural Mogavul Development Association in Mangu LGA, Plateau State, reported that eyewitnesses estimated the attacking force at more than 500 people.
Mathias, speaking from Mangu Local Government Headquarters, said the Mogavul people, predominantly farmers, had coexisted peacefully with Fulani herdsmen in the area “from time immemorial.” He said the security situation began deteriorating around 2018, when Fulani herders started rustling cattle from indigenous Mogavul farmers, but attacks intensified sharply after Governor Caleb Muthuang, an indigene of Mangu LGA, was sworn in in 2023. Mathias said nearly 30 communities in the area have since been sacked and taken over by Fulani herdsmen.
Mathias said the pattern of attacks is not consistent with ordinary farmer-herder land disputes, which he said have historically been resolved through a traditional institution that includes Fulani representation. Instead, he alleged a coordinated land-grabbing agenda, saying attackers burn churches before destroying the rest of a village, and that communities are occupied and held by Fulani settlers afterward rather than vacated.
As an example, he cited the nearby community of Alon, where he said two women from a displaced Christian community were attacked while collecting firewood in territory now held by Fulani settlers. One died, while the other was hospitalized.
Mathias argued the targeting is religious rather than resource-driven, pointing to what he described as a consistent pattern across Kaduna, Benue, and Riyom in which Christian communities and churches are attacked while nearby Muslim settlements are not. “It’s evidently clear that there are evidences of mass burial of people who are predominantly Christian,” he said, adding that anyone denying a religious motive “is having an agenda with the terrorists.”
Villagers called the Nigerian Army for help, but soldiers arrived only after the massacre had taken place. According to Mathias, the community views the army as effectively colluding with the attackers.
The clearest example he cited was an army raid in Chakfem, a Mangu LGA community bordering Kwanpan and Bokkos. A separate source who described the raid directly said soldiers arrived at a local community leader’s home around midnight, acting on a tip, which he said likely came from social media reports, that the leader was rustling cattle. “There was no evidence of any [cattle] rustling,” the source said, but soldiers confiscated weapons the leader held in trust to defend the community: approximately 17 locally made firearms and six AK-47s.
Asked whether someone inside the community may have leaked the information to Fulani contacts or army officials, the source said, “I want to believe it’s so, because certainly there are enemies of communities, and you could have some people who are insiders of the community.” He said the confiscation left the community “in total confusion and vulnerability” and unable to defend itself if attacked.
Mathias concluded by saying that he does not currently trust the Nigerian government to protect residents of Plateau State. He called for a joint security task force, road construction to allow displaced communities to resettle, and international and federal support, including from President Bola Tinubu’s administration, to address what he described as a security emergency.
Nigerian and international media have documented a recurring pattern across multiple states in which massacres of Christian farming communities are followed by the occupation of the vacated land by Fulani herdsmen. The following cases, spanning from 2016 to 2026, illustrate this pattern as reported by local leaders, community associations, and state officials.
The pattern is documented most extensively in Benue State. Fulani herdsmen killed more than 300 Christian farmers in the state’s Agatu area beginning in February 2016. Two weeks after the killings, herdsmen remained in the area, grazing cattle on the farmland of the displaced Agatu community.
In October 2025, the Benue State Government reported that armed herdsmen had taken over more than 17 counties, displacing hundreds of thousands of residents. Farmer Angela Chiahemban described the occupation as gradual, with herders first raiding smaller villages before staying longer, burning farms, and warning residents not to return.
Testifying before the House Africa Subcommittee, Catholic Bishop Wilfred Anagbe of the Makurdi Diocese said that 20 parishes in his diocese no longer exist because of the attacks. He described militant Fulani herders as “hired guns” of cattle oligarchs who manipulate religion to eliminate the Christian population and “cleanse the land.”
In Plateau State, the Southern Middle Belt Alliance estimated in 2021 that 102 communities had been occupied and renamed by herdsmen. By June 2024, indigenous youth groups put the figure at 151 occupied villages and hamlets. In May 2025, a pastor identified as Byang said more than 60 Christian communities in the state were occupied by Fulani herdsmen and would not be reclaimed by their original owners.
That August, community leader Yohana Margif said herdsmen had driven Christians from nine villages in Bokkos LGA: Hokk, Kaban, Kadim, Nawula, Dulu, Mbor, Margif, Chirang, and Mangor. He said the herdsmen had set up tents and grazed cattle on the land.
Taraba State shows the same sequence. Attacks in Lau, Takum, Wukari, and Ardo-Kola counties were described as following a pattern of attacks, mass displacement, and subsequent occupation of farmland, attributed in part to foreign Fulani herdsmen from Niger, Chad, and Cameroon. International Human Rights Commission director David Onyilokwu Idah, describing the May 2025 attacks in Karim-Lamido County, said the killings were one chapter in a broader campaign of forced displacement and demographic engineering, noting that the militia retained control of the territory even after a 2024 military raid on their camp.
Related accounts have emerged from Oyo, Kaduna, and Adamawa states. In Oyo, herdsmen had occupied land taken from farmers in at least 10 local government areas by 2018. One Nigerian advocate described a method in which herders sent cattle to graze the farms of residents who refused to vacate.
In Kaduna’s Kajuru LGA, village chief Maiangwa Markus, who has documented attacks in the area for years, said in March 2026 that raiders surround villages at night, fire shots to create panic, and then go house to house dragging people into the forests. “The goal is clear,” Markus said. “Drive us off our ancestral land.”
In Adamawa’s Hong LGA, farmer Samuel Ishaya said in August 2026 that the crisis began with an influx of nomadic groups seeking to lay permanent claim to ancestral lands held by the Hoba tribe. When local elders refused to cede the territory, Fulani tribal leaders issued explicit threats that later materialized into attacks on churches.
The U.S.-based Mutual Union of Tiv in America, a diaspora organization representing members of Nigeria’s Tiv ethnic group, made a related allegation in a 2021 petition to the Nigerian House of Representatives, claiming that herdsmen were renaming ancestral lands abandoned by Tiv communities driven out of Benue, Taraba, and Nasarawa states since 2013.
The pattern extends beyond the Middle Belt into southeastern Nigeria, where Igbo communal structures have reportedly been supplanted. Data from the research group Intersociety found that 950 locations across more than 800 communities in the southeastern states of Abia, Enugu, Anambra, and Ebonyi had come under Fulani occupation by 2025, up from roughly 10 in 2015.
The report described communal lands, forests, farm settlements, and sites historically used for ancestral religious practices as having been ceded, procured, or forcibly occupied by herdsmen, who now use the sites as operational hideouts.
