A crazy video that one could mistake for an action movie scene has emerged showing the moment two portly policewomen jumped into a stunned Uber driver’s car in an effort to capture a suspect, and it did not have a happy ending.

As FOX 26 Houston reported on Saturday, the Houston Police Department received a terroristic threat call made back on August 7.

Police said the woman was at a pool with her kids when a male suspect came out of an apartment, and they got into a fight. The suspect then allegedly threatened to shoot them, so the woman called the authorities.

Two female police officers came to get a statement from the woman when the suspect reappeared. But when the policewomen attempted to apprehend the perp, he broke free and took off on foot.

Desperate to catch him, one of the officers jumped into a stunned Uber driver’s car, screaming, “Go, go, go, go!”

The officer next orders the driver to pick up her partner. Both appeared confused at first about which direction the violent suspect went.

After finally spotting him, they both jump out of the car and pursue him on foot again.

Alas, the violent perp managed to escape into the night. He remains at large.

The driver, Anthony Baines, shared the video, which was obtained by outlets such as FOX 26 and FOX News.

WATCH:

Baines, an Iraq War veteran, recounted the incident in an interview with FOX 26.

“This is something I kind of think about that only happens in action movies where somebody’s pursuing a person, and they call for a civilian to help,” Baines told the outlet.

“I am an Iraq veteran, so I’ve been in a very stressful environment before, where I’ve had to just kind of focus on what was at hand,” he continued.

“And, at that moment, I just knew that the cops needed me and I was just going to do whatever they told me to do.”

August 23, 2026

Uber-popular WNBS star Sophie Cunningham continues to stand her ground and speak her truth.

The outspoken Indiana Fever guard tripled down on her belief that trans men should not compete with women in sports. They have an unfair advantage over biological women.

Everyone knows this. Even Caitlyn Jenner supports Sophie on this issue.

73% of US adults are uncomfortable with trans athletes competing on teams that do not match their sex birth, according to a recent Pew Research Center poll.

Sophie Cunningham is set on her values. She continues to stand firm despite the hate she endures.

On Saturday, before her game with the New York Liberty, Sophie tripled down on her statements that women’s sports need to be protected.

From tonight’s pregame video, via Kris Pursiainen:

Sophie Cunningham: Yeah, you know, I think I said what I said, and these are— it’s nothing new. It’s happened every game. And so I’ve already kind of stated how I feel about all that. I’m focused on New York tonight. I think, yeah, we clinched playoffs, but for me, it’s dialing in with basketball.

And it’s cool that people are using their freedom of speech and doing what they want to do, but that’s them. And I’m in my two feet. I’m where I’m at. And so I’m just focused on New York.

Via Kris Pursiainen:

Sophie then went out and placed her hand on her heart for the National Anthem while the angry Liberty players hid in the locker room.

Meanwhile, outside the venue, hundreds of supporters of women’s sports rallied for fairness in competition.

August 23, 2026

Black Lives Matter goons light up Washington DC in the summer of 2020.

In the infamous “Summer Love” in 2020, leftists committed massive destruction and thousands of police officers were injuries. Several deaths were reported across the country during these riots.
The events were labeled Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests.

According to Policemag.com:

…the Major City Chiefs Association (MCCA) issued “Report on the 2020 Protests & Civil Unrest.” This report looked at unrest in the 68 largest municipal and county jurisdictions in the United States and Canada from May 25, 2020 to July 31, 2020. MCCA members say they experienced 8,700 total protest events during that roughly two-month period. One city, unidentified but likely Portland, reported 1,100 protest events during that period. The average number of protest events in a single jurisdiction was 128.

During this time period, looting and arson were common and over 2,035 law enforcement officers were injured at the protests and riots during the time frame studied.

BLM riots caused over $1 billion in damages during the 2020 Summer of Love. The 2021 Fedsurrection reportedly resulted in $1 million in damages.

Black Lives Matter-Antifa mobs caused over one billion dollars in damages in cities across America since May.

In Minneapolis alone, Black Lives Matter mobs damaged or destroyed over 1,500 businesses or buildings.

At least 25 people were killed during these protests and the costs of these protests in property damage came in between $1 and $2 billion in damages.  But with the help of the corrupt and biased Mainstream Media (MSM) and racists and apologists in liberal strongholds in politics, academia, and Hollywood, BLM was cheered and supported despite their chaos and violence.

On Saturday, nutty Florida socialist and Democrat Angie Nixon called Governor DeSantis a racist and claimed BLM rioting was peaceful!

Angie Nixon: I cannot stand Ron DeSantis. We can’t stand Ron DeSantis. With a passion. He has said he is racist. He said, don’t monkey this up, when Andrew Gillum was running against him for governor. And because a Black man got so close to the governor’s mansion, this dude decided to attack Voting Rights Act after the overwhelmingly peaceful protests after George Floyd was executed on the streets.

This guy push this anti-protest bill. He is so hateful. I am so happy that his political career is done. And if he tries to run for another thing, Angie Nixon is gonna be on that ass. Can I say that? Yes, you can. Angie Nixon is gonna be on that ass.

What a PERFECT candidate to represent the Democrat party. Pure insanity.

Turning Point USA to Return to the Scene of Charlie Kirk’s Assassination on Anniversary

Turning Point USA to Return to the Scene of Charlie Kirk’s Assassination on Anniversary

Turning Point USA to Return to the Scene of Charlie Kirk’s Assassination on Anniversary
August 23, 2026

Turning Point USA plans to return to Utah Valley University in Orem on the anniversary of founder Charlie Kirk’s assassination to hold what promises to be a powerful event.

“Remembering his life. Honoring his legacy,” TPUSA posted on social media.

“Join us 9/10 at the UCCU Center on the campus of UVU with Glenn Beck, Frank Turek, and more as we reflect on Charlie Kirk’s extraordinary impact,” the post further stated.

Turek is a well-known Christian apologist who was with Kirk when he was shot at the UVU event. Beck has been a staple at Turning Point’s annual AmericaFest events in Phoenix.

I noticed at a Turning Point headquarters open house that I attended in March that multiple speakers referred specifically to Sept. 10, or 9/10, so that date is something that is very much in their thinking and vocabulary.

I argued in an article earlier this summer and in the 2026 edition of my book, “We Hold These Truths,” that Charlie Kirk was a Thomas Paine for our time.

In other words, he was a cultural leader outside of government who truly shifted American society back toward liberty, and in his case, back toward God.

Kirk said just months before he died, “If I’m to be known for anything, I want to be known for being courageous for my faith.” I contended that he, like Paine and other cultural leaders I wrote about, such as Frederick Douglass, Julia Ward Howe, and Frank Capra, helped shape the political dialogue of their historical eras.

I was able to witness some of his work through Turning Point USA as a reporter for The Western Journal covering CPAC. I interviewed him multiple times there, and I remember him being surrounded by college-aged students wearing swag with messages like “Socialism Sucks” and “Big Government Sucks.”

I spoke to him specifically on the subject of socialism for a news story that I wrote in early 2020, following the release of a poll showing that seven in 10 millennials would be inclined to vote for a socialist candidate.

He argued that it was the result of years of indoctrination taking place on college campuses — but, he added, students can often be turned away from socialism simply by asking them two questions. First, do you trust the government? And if not, why do you want to make it bigger?

In my book and in a recent Western Journal podcast, I argued that Kirk was like Paine in terms of his cultural influence.

Many people might not realize that Paine, in “Common Sense,” which was published in January 1776, cited the Bible multiple times in his argument about why the American colonies should declare their independence from Great Britain.

Regarding being governed by a king, he wrote, “As the exalting one man so greatly above the rest cannot be justified on the equal rights of nature, so neither can it be defended on the authority of Scripture; for the will of the Almighty, as declared by Gideon and the prophet Samuel, expressly disapproves of government by kings.”

The pamphleteer advocated that, instead of being subject to the arbitrary whims of royal decree, the colonists should be subject to God and His eternal laws. “But where, say some, is the king of America? I tell you, Friend, he reigns above, and doth not make havoc of mankind like the royal brute of Britain.

“Yet that we may not appear to be defective even in earthly honors, let a day be solemnly set apart for proclaiming the charter [creating a new government for America]; let it be brought forth based on divine law, the Word of God [the Bible]; let a crown be placed thereon, by which the world may know, that so far as we approve of monarchy, that in America THE LAW IS KING. For as in absolute governments the king is law, so in free countries the law ought to be King; and there ought to be no other,” Paine wrote, six months before colonists signed the Declaration of Independence.

“Common Sense” sold 125,000 copies in the first three months after its release and 500,000 by the end of the Revolutionary War. For a nation of no more than four million at the time, those are some pretty impressive numbers. The pamphlet is still in print to this day.

In today’s parlance, we would call that going viral, which is what Kirk also did with millions of social media followers and “The Charlie Kirk Show.”

TPUSA shared a clip last month of Kirk exhorting that we should follow “God’s commands against the culture, not in consistency with the culture.”

“To stand, in my opinion, on eternal truths, fight for the country, fight for our civilization, and then also understand that you, especially as men, but women as well, you are obligated to do difficult and hard things.”

Waste of the Day: $ for Baltimore Mayor’s Wife

Hana Scott, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott’s wife, received $51,000 in taxpayer money from a local nonprofit from 2024 to 2025, according to documents obtained by FOX45 News.

Key facts: Baltimore’s oft-criticized Children and Youth Fund gave $300,000 to the Bmore Empowered nonprofit in recent years, where Hana Scott worked from 2021 to 2025.

Bmore Empowered awarded some of the money to Beadly Speaking, a different nonprofit that hosts jewelry-making classes to teach kids about entrepreneurship.

Records show that Beadly Speaking later paid $51,000 to Hana Scott in a 13-month period. The payments began in August 2024, the same month Hana Scott married the mayor.

It’s unclear what the money was for. Hana Scott, Beadly Speaking and Bmore Empowered did not return questions from FOX45. Mayor Scott called the news station’s reporting “tomfoolery.”

Mayor Scott’s financial disclosures from 2024 and 2025 did not state that his wife worked at Bmore Empowered. They listed only her role at Pugh Insights, her private consulting firm.

Bmore Empowered closed down in February 2026, citing fundraising issues. The nonprofit had also drawn public scrutiny related to Hana Scott’s role, its delinquent registration status with the Maryland Secretary of State and lawsuits over unpaid rent.

Background: FOX45 reported in September 2025 that Bmore Empowered had received taxpayer money while employing Hana Scott, though it was unknown at that time that Hana Scott personally benefited.

Following the report, Baltimore City Council introduced a bill in October 2025 that strengthened oversight of the Children & Youth Fund. The original version of the bill would have made it illegal for the Youth Fund to send money to any charity that employs the family member of a top city official. Mayor Scott opposed that provision, and the bill later passed with an amendment that allowed payments to family members.

Summary: Apparent conflicts of interest are all too common in local governance, and ignoring questions from the public only increases the need for accountability.
