Newly obtained documents reportedly show that Dr. Anthony Fauci instructed an aide to permanently delete an email concerning controversial gain-of-function research years before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The emails, obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, date back to 2012, when Fauci was defending experiments that made a highly dangerous strain of bird flu transmissible through the air.

Dutch virologist Ron Fouchier conducted the experiments with funding from Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Fouchier described the resulting virus as “probably one of the most dangerous viruses you can make.”

The experiments triggered debate over whether the potential benefits of gain-of-function research justified the potentially catastrophic consequences of an accidental laboratory escape.

New York Times science writer Phil Boffey was among those sounding the alarm, warning of an “engineered doomsday” capable of killing “hundreds of millions of people.”

Boffey also suggested that the NIH had its own reputation at stake because it had financed the experiments.

That criticism apparently irritated Fauci.

“Phil Boffey is really off base here,” Fauci wrote to then-NIH Director Francis Collins on March 4, 2012. “He is acting like a mischievous guy.”

The following morning, Fauci complained about the article to his subordinate.

“Clearly, people are getting to Phil Boffey and he is swallowing it,” he wrote.

Fauci then gave an explicit instruction concerning the correspondence.

“Please delete this e-mail and then delete from the deleted file,” Fauci wrote from his government email account.

The revelation raises further questions about Fauci’s handling of federal records.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has previously highlighted two other instances in which Fauci allegedly sought to delete government communications.

Fauci testified before Congress in 2024 that he had not destroyed official records.

The latest disclosure comes after separate documents revealed NIAID’s cooperation with the CIA on sensitive virus and biological-threat research during Fauci’s tenure.

Those records showed an interagency arrangement under which the CIA’s Biological Technology Center worked with NIAID on “forensic microbiology.”

This included provisions allowing the CIA to assist in obtaining biological agents and restricting NIAID from releasing certain research data without CIA approval.

Fauci ultimately succeeded in pushing for Fouchier’s controversial bird-flu research to be published in full.

Fouchier would later participate in private discussions with Fauci and other scientists about the origins of COVID-19 and contributed arguments to the influential “Proximal Origin” paper, which argued against a laboratory origin being likely.

Muslim Bangladeshis vow to grind city to a standstill.

Besides the ongoing struggle for remigration across Europe, there’s also a pressing need to force those migrants that won’t be expelled to assimilate to the local values, and also pull the breaks on the rapid Islamization of their societies.

That is what a small-town mayor near Venice, Italy, is doing. The mayor recently blocked the construction of a large mosque in the historic Christian city.

So, the Muslim migrant workers are threatening to go on strike, after the mayor’s actions.

The Telegraph reported:

“Bangladeshi migrants make up about a quarter of the employees at the Fincantieri shipyards, which are among the largest in Europe. Bars, cafés and restaurants often employ Bangladeshi immigrants, meaning a strike would also affect tourism, they say.

They want to construct the white-walled mosque on the site of an old sawmill in the nearby town of Mestre, which is located on the mainland. The migrants say their 10,000-strong community deserves to have a spacious, elegantly built place of worship.

Kiev is becoming the ‘city that never sleeps’ – for all the wrong reasons.

Back when Ukraine had sufficient amounts of air-defense missiles, Russian forces used to send the largest-possible combined missile-drone attacks, to overwhelm these defenses, and strike the designated targets.

But, now that the stockpiles of Patriot interceptor missiles are all but over, Moscow has changed the approach: smaller strike packages are being sent at intervals, making life in the capital starting to become unbearable.

Sources both Ukrainian and Russian confirm that Kiev has been struck by missile and raids for three days straight.

Politico reported from the ground:

“Over the past two days, however, the alerts did not end at sunrise; they droned on into the day and the following night. It’s a nerve-wracking wailing, on top of explosions and the knowledge that your life is constantly under threat.

Kiev has survived more than 20 air raid alerts since Thursday night. Some were an hour long, while others lasted for up to 10 minutes.”

Other reports say air raid alerts sounded around 30 times in the capital over two days.

Among the strikes on military-related targets in Kiev and suburbs, a facility ‘storing components for Ukraine’s long-range Flamingo cruise missiles’ was hit, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

RT reported:

“The statement came after a series of powerful secondary explosions tore through a warehouse complex near Kiev on Friday night, with videos circulating on social media showing fireballs flying off for hundreds of meters.

The next morning, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the strikes, saying the attack, which involved missiles and drones, hit the Fim Service transport and logistics center in the Kiev suburb of Chaiky. The facility was used for storing Flamingo missiles, it added.

Another logistics center in Kalinovka, Kiev Region, was also hit, the ministry said, noting that the facility hosted a customs terminal responsible for distributing Western-supplied military cargo.

A college football player in Missouri died moments after scoring a touchdown.

Running back MicahJo Barnett, who played for William Jewell College in Missouri, died moments after scoring a touchdown.

Barnett a junior who was majoring in business administration, was pronounced dead shortly after suffering a medical emergency on the sidelines in the first quarter.

Following the news of Barnett’s death, the game between William Jewell and Fort Lewis College was canceled, with the score being 7-0, with the lone touchdown coming from Barnett.

Per The New York Times:

William Jewell College running back MicahJo Barnett died Saturday after suffering a medical emergency during the team’s season opener at Greene Stadium in Liberty, Mo., the school announced.

Paramedics attended to Barnett, a junior running back, on the sideline for several minutes before taking him via ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to local reports.

Barnett had scored a touchdown earlier in the game.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with MicahJo’s family, our students, the Cardinal Football family, and the rest of our community during this time of loss,” the university said in a statement.

Sara Carter, Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (Drug Czar), was on Newsmax‘s “Greg Kelly Reports” to talk about the progress of destroying the cartels and reducing fentanyl deaths in the United States.

During the four years of Biden’s open border, cartels were funneling in massive amounts of fentanyl, killing a massive number of Americans.

Since President Trump resumed office, his administration has aggressively targeted drug cartels by land, air, and sea. Securing the border has also helped in reducing the flow of illegal drugs into the United States.

“This has been a dramatic turnaround. Fair to say?” Kelly asked.

“Absolutely fair to say and this is all do to President Donald J. Trump. This is his policy. This is our national drug control strategy,” Carter said.

“We are hitting the cartels at every single choke point, Greg. From the border, land, sea, and air, we are making sure that the cartels cannot find their way into this country, and we are doing that by taking the fight to them,” Carter explained.

“We are not allowing them to operate with impunity anymore in our nation, or in the Western Hemisphere,” Carter continued.

“The numbers are showing it. President Trump’s strategy is working. Why? Because under the Biden administration, the border was wide open,” Carter said.

“The highest point of overdose deaths that we saw in the United States, was under President Biden with over 112,000 deaths. That’s in 2022 to 2023,” Carter continued.

“We are looking right now at under 68,000 overall, overall deaths, which is still way too many, but that’s 40 percent down from the highest point, and by the way, those are the lowest numbers since March 2017,” Carter said.

“Every single person that is alive today because we put the pressure on the cartels, because we’ve stopped the drugs from coming into this country,” Carter said.

“We are making sure that they do not have the money in their coffers, so that they can pay for their army of men. This is about destroying the cartels, dismantling them with our Homeland Security task forces, working together as a whole of government to target these, these nefarious organizations and take them out of the picture,” Carter said.

“This is what President Trump wants. He wants to save lives. He wants to destroy the cartels, and this is exactly what we are doing,” Carter continued.

Florida Republican Rep. Randy Fine and two GOP colleagues are demanding the Trump administration investigate Grayzone editor Max Blumenthal after the radical left propagandist traveled to Iran to attend the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, an event organized and orchestrated by the Iranian regime and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Fine sent the letter on Friday to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Attorney General Todd Blanche. It was co-signed by Reps. Keith Self (R-TX) and Randy Weber (R-TX), according to investigative reporter Laura Loomer.

The request expands an earlier July 17 letter from Fine and other House Republicans asking Rubio and Blanche to examine whether Calla Walsh, Jackson Hinkle, and Christopher Helali provided material support to a Foreign Terrorist Organization by participating in the same IRGC-tied funeral spectacle.

The event, according to Fine, was “organized and orchestrated by Iranian authorities, including the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps,” which the United States has designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Fine wrote:

“I am writing today requesting that you add to your investigation an additional American, Max Blumenthal, for also participating in Ali Khamenei’s funeral in Iran.”

The Florida Republican described Blumenthal as “a radical leftist who hides under the veil of ‘journalism’ to relay propaganda and misinformation that benefits America’s enemies.”

Fine’s letter accused Blumenthal of denying or minimizing atrocities committed during the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack and of repeatedly making excuses for the Islamic Republic’s brutal oppression of the Iranian people.

The congressman also noted that this was not Blumenthal’s first trip to Iran.

According to the letter, Blumenthal traveled to the Islamic Republic in 2025, shortly before Operation Midnight Hammer, to produce what Fine described as a state-sponsored propaganda piece portraying Iran’s tiny remaining Jewish community as “safe.”

Fine continued:

“Blumenthal is no ordinary supporter of the world’s leading sponsor of state terrorism. He is also the son of Sidney Blumenthal, the former White House aide to President Bill Clinton and a confidante of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.”

Fine argued that federal law enforcement and counterintelligence officials should be deeply concerned that the son of a longtime Democrat operative may have been “cultivated as an agent of influence” by America’s adversaries.

The Republican lawmakers are also demanding answers about who finances Blumenthal’s activities and The Grayzone.

“The question of who finances Blumenthal’s activities and those of his Grayzone Project also remains,” the letter states. “This subject seems particularly relevant in light of the Trump administration’s worthwhile efforts to expose the nexus between hostile foreign states and subversive leftist activism on the American homeland.”

Upon returning from Iran in July, Blumenthal was questioned by Customs and Border Protection officers at Washington Dulles International Airport. Agents confiscated two of his phones after he declined to provide their passcodes.

Blumenthal subsequently claimed he was being targeted for his journalism and political views. His attorneys filed an emergency motion demanding the return of the devices, which the government later returned.

Fine, however, accused Blumenthal of attempting to turn the national-security screening into a media spectacle.

“Blumenthal has since attempted to make a media spectacle out of his devices being confiscated despite traveling to a sanctioned country where he willingly attended the funeral of a global funder of Islamic terrorism.”

The congressman concluded with a devastating assessment:

“Blumenthal’s lengthy track record of supporting enemy propaganda, and his recent participation in Ali Khamenei’s funeral, shows that he sympathizes with America’s enemies and is a threat to United States national security.”

“I urge you to use your offices to promptly investigate Max Blumenthal to ensure the American public is safe from this traitor.”

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Blumenthal joined Walsh, Hinkle, and Helali at Khamenei’s state funeral. The four have documented histories of supporting communist politics, appearing alongside Iranian or Russian state media, or promoting organizations hostile to American foreign policy.

Fine’s letter comes just two days after the State Department announced sanctions against violent far-left terrorist organizations and their leaders.

The sanctions were imposed under Executive Order 13224, which targets terrorists, terrorist organizations, their leaders, and individuals who provide material support for terrorism.

The State Department said the action was part of a broader effort to confront “the threat of transnational far-left terrorism.”

The radical left has spent years providing political cover for some of America’s most vicious enemies.
