Dominion Drops $1.3 Billion Lawsuit Against Mike Lindell and MyPillow After Five-Year Legal Battle
June 25, 2026

The company formerly known as Dominion Voting Systems has dropped its massive $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and his company.
Court filings show the parties reached a confidential settlement, bringing the five-year case to a close.
The lawsuit has been dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled, while both sides agreed to pay their own legal fees and costs.
The voting machine company, now operating under the name Liberty Vote after being acquired by former Republican election official Scott Leiendecker in 2025, offered no public explanation beyond confirming that the parties had reached a confidential settlement.
“The parties have agreed to a confidential settlement to this matter,” a Liberty Vote spokesperson said in a statement.
Lindell celebrated the dismissal as a major victory after years of litigation that he has repeatedly said nearly destroyed his business.
According to LindellTV:
Lindell called the dismissal a major victory not only for himself, but for MyPillow and its employees, who had been facing a $1.3 billion legal threat for years.
“It’s a great win for MyPillow, my employees, and everybody that’s been through this.”
But Lindell says the fight isn’t over.
“I’m not worried about being vindicated. I want these machines gone. I want paper ballots, hand-counted. I want secure elections for all people.”To go along with this major victory – Election Crime Bureau has unveiled a HISTORIC EVIDENCE dossier on the 2020 election: 800+ pages 824 findings 2,517 citations. Five years of compiled research, court records, sworn testimony, government documents, and technical forensics.
“Anyone that ever says, ‘There’s no evidence’ … this is like a library. It’s a historical library with 100% evidence that backs each thing up.”

Dominion filed the $1.3 billion suit in 2021 after Lindell publicly stated that their machines were used to rig the election for Joe Biden. The company claimed Lindell was lying to sell pillows and boost his profile.
Dominion argued those claims were false and defamatory, seeking $1.3 billion in damages.
Throughout the litigation, Lindell remained one of President Donald Trump’s most outspoken allies on election integrity issues, insisting he would continue speaking out despite mounting legal pressure.
The dismissal closes one of Dominion’s final major cases against a high-profile Trump ally. The company previously reached a $787.5 million settlement with Fox News in 2023 and has also resolved litigation involving other prominent figures connected to post-election challenges.
Lindell has estimated that defending himself and MyPillow throughout the legal battle cost him roughly $20 million.
“I’m still going after them,” Lindell said. “I don’t care if it’s sold to Liberty Vote or whatever. All machines have to go and I’m not stopping, and they know that.”
Lindell is currently running as a Republican for Governor of Minnesota. The dropped lawsuit removes a massive cloud hanging over his campaign.
He previously told WCCO per CBS that it was a “big relief” to be able to run for governor “and not have to have in the back of my mind a worry about a $1.3 billion lawsuit.”
The timing could not be better.
