Drivers of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, and a Host of Other Premier Luxury Cars Receive Food Stamp Benefits
May 1, 2026
SNAP recipients, particularly those who own luxury vehicles very few Americans can afford, have prompted concerns about accountability in federal benefit programs.
On Tuesday, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins revealed that her department has obtained data from one state indicating that thousands of SNAP recipients were driving luxury vehicles. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, has assisted over 41 million low-income individuals in the United States in accessing a nutritionally sufficient diet on average.
But according to a study done by the Foundation for Government Accountability, ownership of 14,000 luxury vehicles was also linked to recipients of SNAP benefit.
The report revealed the luxury car brands are among the priciest in the country, with Lamborghinis priced at over $680,000…Ferraris valued at over $600,000 and Bentleys ranging from $250,000 to $414,000.
In an interview with Fox News, Rollins stated, “We only have the red states, and then two blue governors, but really the red States have been the only ones who have been partnering with us, whose data we’ve been sharing. Previously no data was shared. We have no idea where the taxpayer dollars were spent.”
“[In] just one red state, the recent dump of data, we found SNAP recipients had more than two thousand Tesla owners, 200 Alfa Romeo owners, more than 144 that were receiving food stamps were driving Porsches. Again, this is the data dumps we’re getting because before, we had no accountability on any of these programs. We now are requiring accountability.”

Rollins wondered what the outcomes would reveal from states led by Democrats, considering that the statistics came from a state governed by Republicans “The blue states are suing us,” she said. “They don’t want to share the data. And can you imagine, this was a red state where there is actually some taxpayer accountability. Imagine what’s happening in the blue states.”
Rollins expanded on this in a post to X, revealing that it was “14,000 individual SNAP recipients in just ONE state” who were behind the wheel of luxury cars. Along with the previously mentioned Teslas, Alfa Romeos, and Porsches, she noted that there were also three individuals with Bentleys, three with Ferraris, 11 with Lamborghinis, 59 with Maseratis, and 306 with Land Rovers.
“And this is just in ONE STATE. We need to defend our nutrition programs for those most in need, not for scammers gaming the system,” wrote Rollins. “These individuals are taking advantage of the American taxpayer. And together with VP [J.D.] Vance’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, this ends NOW.”
Established through an Executive Order in March 2026, the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud is a comprehensive government initiative led by Vice President J.D. Vance, aimed at identifying and addressing fraud, waste, and abuse within federal benefit programs.
