On Wednesday, two basketball players on the Arizona WNBA team assaulted the league’s “golden goose,” who brought millions of fans with her to the league coming out of Iowa two years ago. It was brutal.

Fans called for some action by the W – anything –

The WNBA should not just suspend her – they should suspend for the rest of the year, with a loss of pay, and mandatory anger management classes.

Enough is enough –

Some observers said it was an assault and that Clark should sue the league for putting her in such a situation.  It was gross.

The front of the neck is not built for a fist. It only takes 12 pounds to crush your wind pipe.

The neck contains the airway, larynx, trachea, voice box, and major vascular structures. Trauma there can affect breathing, swallowing, speech, oxygen flow, and in severe cases can become life-threatening.

Clark was on her back, exposed, trapped in a pile, with a fist forced into her throat area.

The WNBA reviewed it, called it reckless, called it a non-basketball act, upgraded it to a Flagrant 2, and gave one game plus a $1,000 fine.

The WNBA admitted it was dangerous, then punished it like they were annoyed they had to address it.

Player safety cannot depend on whether the worst-case scenario happened this time.

Others cry racism or sexism since Clark is straight and white.

Bottom line: it’s black on White crime. It’s as racist as it gets in sports… And the @WNBA is letting blacks torture and brutalize Caitlin Clark for some reason? After the game, Clark’s coach, who allowed these beatings to happen, appeared outraged. saying she didn’t see the play till after the game.

But this was a lie.  A video released after the game shows White watching the whole thing and walking the other way.  Leaving Clark to pick herself up after the assault.

The next morning the Phoenix team made fun of the assault. “They’re mocking their thug assaulting Caitlin Clark…..”

The media reported this incident by claiming Clark left the game with a back situation.

The back situation was cause from a different foul where the refs went after Clark to see if she was at fault.
