Fake news CNN’s Pamela Brown just learned the hard way why Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) is not one to be toyed with.

During a recent segment on CNN, Rep. Burchett destroyed Brown’s biased and misleading coverage of government inefficiency and mismanagement.

Brown attempted to frame the Trump administration’s firings of critical nuclear oversight staff as merely a case of “clumsy” decision-making rather than outright incompetence.

She cited a University of Maryland professor’s analogy that compared government efficiency efforts to using a sledgehammer to cut out fat from a steak.

Pamela Brown:
Congressmen, hold on. I want to go to this question because, again, it’s not a question of whether waste should be rooted out of the government. So many people agree with that. But now we’re seeing it’s the way it’s being done.

The government is trying to claw back several employees who oversaw nuclear weapons after they were fired.

They realized, ‘Oh, we made a mistake. We need these staffers who oversee nuclear weapons.’ A professor at the University of Maryland, Dawn Kettle, who specializes in Silver Service, told the Washington Post that, yes, the government is likely full of wasteful bloat, but said a clumsy fix is worse than no fix at all, saying it’s like going to a meat market, getting a piece of steak, and trying to cut out the fat with a sledgehammer.

That would only make a mess of the meat. Do you think, congressman, that is a fair point that the way this is being done is clumsy rather than methodical?

In a masterful counterattack, Burchett called out Brown and the leftist media for their glaring hypocrisy, highlighting the Biden administration’s reckless appointments—including disgraced former Department of Energy official Sam Brinton, a non-binary activist who was in charge with nuclear secrets and was caught stealing luggage from multiple airports.

Tim Burchett:
Again, you’re upset about your attacking the message here, not the results. You talk about nuclear secrets. You had a nuclear… A person who was in charge of nuclear secrets, a man who dressed up as a woman would go into the airport and steal women’s luggage was overseeing those nuclear secrets under the Biden administration. I never heard you all say a peep about that.”

Pamela Brown:
I don’t know anything about that. I’ll be transparent.

Tim Burchett:
Well, you need to look it up. It’s all over the internet. It’s all over. He was in charge of nuclear secrets.

For context, in late 2022, Brinton faced multiple charges related to luggage thefts at various airports.

In July 2022, he was accused of stealing a suitcase containing items worth approximately $3,670 from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

In September 2022, another incident involved the theft of a suitcase valued at $2,325 from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

Additionally, fashion designer Asya Khamsin claimed that Brinton wore her custom-designed clothing, which had gone missing in 2018, leading to further legal action.

In response to these allegations, Brinton was placed on leave and subsequently departed from his role at the Department of Energy in December 2022.

Going back to the interview, Brown, desperate to steer the conversation, pivoted to Elon Musk, arguing that even Musk acknowledges that fast-moving changes result in mistakes.

But Burchett wasn’t buying it. “Humans will make mistakes, ma’am. But currently, these are bloated programs. You have no-show employees that are angry that they’re having to go back to work, that they’ve moved, and they’re not even in the distance,” he said.

Brown attempted to regain control, stating, “No one’s disagreeing that there’s bloat and waste. No one’s disagreeing with that.”

Burchett then delivered a knockout punch: “Well, then why are you all not exposed closing it. Have you all even talked about, ‘Hey, Mozambique, we sent them $10 million for circumcisions?’ I mean, goodness gracious, ma’am. Americans are paying over 50% of their salaries.””

Brown, realizing she was losing ground, desperately claimed CNN had covered government waste “at length.”

But Burchett wasn’t having it: “No, you haven’t. All you all do is run down Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and you continuously do this, and that’s why your ratings are in the tank, ma’am.”

At this point, Brown had no choice but to cut the interview short, abruptly ending the segment with a forced, “All right, congressman Tim Burtchet, we’re going to leave it there. I do appreciate your time coming on and having this conversation. Thank you very much.”

Jim Jones, head of the FDA’s food division resigned in protest of the Trump Administration’s mass firings.

Jones reportedly resigned on Monday after the Trump Administration fired thousands of employees in the HHS.

“I was looking forward to working to pursue the department’s agenda of improving the health of Americans by reducing diet-related chronic disease and risks from chemicals in food,” Jones said in his resignation letter, according to Bloomberg News.

Jones said that because of the mass firings it would be “fruitless for me to continue in this role.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to Jim Jones’ resignation.

“President Trump is only interested in the best and most qualified people who are also willing to implement his America First Agenda on behalf of the American people,” Karoline Leavitt said in a statement, according to NBC News. “It’s not for everyone, and that’s okay.”

Jones stepped in to lead the FDA’s food division in 2023, after three decades at the Environmental Protection Agency.

President Trump fired Hampton Dellinger, Special Counsel of the Office of Special Counsel (not to be confused with a special counsel hired as a federal prosecutor) a couple of weeks ago.

Trump appointed Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins to take over Dellinger’s job as the Special Counsel.

Shortly after the firing, Judge Amy Berman Jackson sided with Hampton Dellinger, issued an administrative stay, and allowed him to keep his job.

“Trump must allow Dellinger to continue to have “access” to the agency’s resources and cannot “recognize the authority of any other person as Special Counsel” while the order remains in effect, Jackson wrote,” according to Politico.

Amy Berman Jackson entered an administrative stay rather than a TRO which made appealing her decision tricky.

The Trump Justice Department immediately appealed Judge Jackson’s administrative stay anyway.

The DC District Circuit Court of Appeals last week dismissed Trump’s appeal of Judge Jackson’s administrative stay and kicked Dellinger’s firing back to Amy Berman Jackson.

Amy Berman Jackson granted a longer extension to fired Biden holdover Hampton Dellinger so Trump took the fight to the Supreme Court.

Justice Roberts gave Hampton Dellinger until Wednesday to respond to Trump’s application for stay of Judge Jackson’s reinstatement order.

MSNBC viewers are not used to hearing the cold truth about politics and government waste from the network. It turns out neither are some of MSNBC’s anchors.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Elon Musk’s DOGE team late Sunday night unearthed jaw-dropping irregularity from the U.S. Social Security database. Over 25 million Americans registered aged 100 and older, with some purportedly older than the U.S. Constitution itself.

“According to the Social Security database, these are the numbers of people in each age bucket with the ‘death’ field set to FALSE. Maybe Twilight is real, and there are a lot of vampires collecting Social Security,” Musk quipped.

More stunning news has emerged from cable television’s most left-wing network.

During a Tuesday segment on “Jose Diaz-Balart Reports,” a reporter revealed that an inspector general audit last year showed that the Social Security Administration had made tens of billions of improper payments over the last eight years.

“There was an inspector general audit last year,” the reporter began before a screenshot of SSA waste appeared on the screen, “that showed over an eight-year period that the Social Security Administration made almost $72 billion in improper payments, a little less than 1% of payments in that period.”

Unsurprisingly, the reporter tried to play down the findings while also trying to debunk DOGE, noting that most of the improper payments were simply from SSA paying too much.

“Now, the report also says most of these improper payments were overpayments, not payments to deceased people or people who didn’t qualify to receive these payments, he added. “At the same time, Jose, this effort by DOGE is to go through this agency like every other and try to weed out waste and fraud.”

Hearing this damning information regarding SS waste and fraud left Diaz-Balart shocked.

“Yeah, and also $72 BILLION! And that’s without a comprehensive search,” he exclaimed. “That’s significant.”

One can only imagine how much more waste DOGE will find when they fully investigate the SSA. After all, Elon Musk has already uncovered $100 billion in improper payments from Medicare and Medicaid via a simple search on X.

A Democratic Congressman has compared J.D. Vance’s speech at the Munich Security Conference to Adolf Hitler.

Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachussetts said that the rhetoric Vice President Vance used at the conference was reminiscient of Nazi Germany.

“He was talking about ‘the enemy within.’ This is some of the same language that Hitler used to justify the Holocaust,” Moulton said during an appearance on MSNBC on Monday.

He went on to describe the speech as “out of touch” with public opinion and accused him of selling out the people of Ukraine.

“I think many of us Americans just felt totally embarrassed as VP Vance delivered really not a speech but a condescending lecture about the fundamental tenets of democracy to our European allies, and what was most remarkable is just how hypocritical this speech was,” the Massachusetts Democrat continued.

Moulton also slammed Vance for meeting with members of the conservative Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, claiming he went to “the old Nazi Party headquarters in Munich to meet with the leader of the modern-day Neo-Nazi party in Germany.”

During his speech last week, which was widely praised by conservatives and patriots on both sides of the Atlantic, Vance called out the staggering authoritarianism of some of Europe’s leading countries, such as Germany and the United Kingdom, particularly concerning the issue of freedom of speech.

“What I worry about is the threat from within,” Vance said during the address.

”The retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values: values shared with the United States of America.”

“Free speech, I fear, is in retreat and in the interests of comedy, my friends, but also in the interest of truth, I will admit that sometimes the loudest voices for censorship have come not from within Europe, but from within my own country, where the prior administration threatened and bullied social media companies to censor so-called misinformation,” he added.
